This one i had alittle mixed because of Judge.. he did few things i was meh about but he was an okay hero and a SUPER alpha. He made sure he knew what he wanted and got it. As for Kitty I wanted her to have more fire she did at first but kinda gave up. Her heart was broken thinking Judge wanted her sister but he always wanted her. Then after book 1 (idk how many weeks) he ignored her.. until he was ready to take her as his wife. Kinda wish Kitty should have said take me to jail lol. To see Judge reaction 🤣
It was an okay romance.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, Drama, slight secondary character, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore

I was so excited to read this after reading Wealthy and Wanted, especially after Judge came to get his bride....😉. Loved these two, and they were hot af, like whew the heat is sexy, sexy. With the same great Alexa Riley OTT humor. Older man, younger woman. OTT cowboy, and his handful that he has been patiently waiting for. Baby batter aplenty, epilogues and a hea.
Dnf I have no idea what's going on, apparently I missed a book before this but this guy is an arsehole and I don't care how he treats her in the rest of the book the first three chapters were terrible enough
Typical storyline of an over-protective, caveman. Kitty’s always been in love with Judge. A case of mistaken identity results in her parents believing that Judge was asking for her sister’s hand in marriage.
Judge has had his plan in place for years.
A massive miscommunication- her parents thought that he was asking for her sister Dotty’s hand in marriage, discovering the arranged marriage was the ultimate betrayal. Kitty’s always had a crush on Judge even though he always ignored her. Now that she’s legal, he’s finished biding his time.
She pretended for months that her feelings weren’t hurt that her sister was marrying him, seeing the wedding ring on her finger.
Dotty wasn’t any happier about the arrangement. Then Judge showed up demanding that she be handed over to him. They were confused until they realised that he’d never asked for her sister’s hand and it had been Kitty all along.
Epilogues into the future of their happily ever after.

Full disclosure; I'm on another author's ARC team who shares the same promoter as Alexa Riley and I received an ARC of Naughty and Notorious by mistake. I did not offer to delete it. I have been waiting with bated breath to the followup to Wealthy and Wanted and I consider it serendipity that I got it early.
This book is one of Alexa Riley's cowboy books, but is a complete standalone. I do recommend reading Wealthy and Wanted first though because it enriches this story. I also recommend all of AR's other cowboy books just because they're awesome.
Judge, the hero, has been in love with the heroine, Kitty, for years but waited until she was old enough to make his move; basically blackmailing her into marriage. Now I know that sounds dark, but this is an AR book so it's an unabashedly over-the-top romance with a hero who worships the woman he loves. Kitty is a spitfire and Judge gives her the courtship she deserves after he marries her. It's a quick read with lots of fun and plenty of steam.
This is a safe read with no OW/OM drama and no cheating. There's explicit language and sex. You can only get a few AR titles now on Amazon, but they are on other ebook sites. Since I have a Kindle, I purchase all their new content on their website or through Eden books. They write fun, easy reads that always make me smile. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
As always, any ARC that I read is in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
3,5✨✨✨ This was a cute and beautiful story, i loved how he was with her but i think something is missing in it, like all he did to have her, how the ring end up on her sister in the book prior, like when did he notice her.. etc... we needed some major details about it. But overall was an enjoyable read.
I felt like I was missing out on something with this one. I didn't really connect with Kitty & Judge and didn't really feel the connection between the two of them. If all the little plot holes were filled in & more details were given about the couple & their situation, I definitely would've enjoyed it more.
Yeah, this one was pretty lackluster for me. I'm unsure what to rate it, but it wasn't bad enough to earn 1 star, so I'll leave the rating blank. I'd been wanting to read this one and I almost skipped the first installment (Wealthy & Wanted with Dotty/Clay), but I figured I'd have a better grasp on the overall storyline if I didn't skip. I'm glad I didn't skip because I ended up really enjoying W&W, but I still had my hopes up for this one.
And...this fell pretty flat. I didn't get much chemistry between Kitty and Judge, even if they were connecting on page; their relationship didn't translate well. I really thought there'd be more discussion about the engagement ring "mix-up" from W&W, but there's nothing in that book or this one on why there was a mix-up in the first place. I'm assuming Kitty's parents gave the engagement ring to Dotty since she's older, but you'd think that for something so important to Judge, he would've specified WHICH daughter he wanted to marry in exchange for his financial help with their farm. But we get nothing! No explanations, no true feelings coming out about them pining for one another but having to hide it for separate reasons. He just says that he was biding his time (until she turned 18), and the way everything comes out on the page, their relationship had barely any emotions at all, even if they were claiming to be in love. I didn't feel what the characters felt the way I did in W&W. I don't know what happened between that book and this one, but if W&W was a rich chocolate cake, this was a stale, crumbling sugar cookie.
Kitty has had a crush on Judge for quite a while. But when she thinks Judge wants to marry her sister she gets very upset about it. Even when that is cleared up she holds it against him and he has to fight for her. This is a wonderful read and I highly recommend it!
Alexa Riley are an automatic one click for me. These ladies manage to pack so much into their short stories, Strong Alpha males who know how to dirty talk like no one’s business
They worship the ground their woman walks on and will do everything in their power to keep her safe.
It’s insta love at it’s finest and they excel effortlessly every time.
This is the Alexa Riley I love. Alpha, possessive, obsessed H sees his one and takes her. Dual POV, virgin h, possible virgin H, no abuse or cheating. There was no mention of his past (thank god) but it seemed to me he was a virgin. Hopefully we'll see more like this in the near future.
Omg this book was so yummy and delicious. I absolutely love Judge and Kitty. They were both so perfect for each other. I just could not get enough of them. I absolutely love this cowboy series.
The great love story of Judge and Kitty. We have all been waiting since we saw them in Wealthy and Wanted! Great family ties and a very swoony Judge! Great, laugh out loud epilogue!
So, I got this ARC by mistake and I am NOT complaining! I have missed stories by the duo of Alexa Riley! (I’m on a different ARC team and this one got sent by mistake. Yay for me, right???)
Kitty has always wanted Judge and she secretly hid her feelings when she believed he had asked for her sister’s hand in marriage. Poor girl was heartbroken. Judge has only ever wanted Kitty and has been waiting for her to be legal. Now he can show her how much he wants and loves her. I absolutely love a strong alpha male! Judge does not disappoint! These characters were wonderful and the flow of the story was well written. I highly recommend you try this insta-love novella.
After reading the 1st book wealthy and wanted, I couldn't wait to read this one. But I was kinda disappointed when there wasn't an explanation about the misunderstanding and mixing between the sisters. I was really waiting for Judge and Kitty to have a good talk about the past, to talk their hearts out and to speak about what's been disturbing each one of them. And I wished for her to keep her strong attitude and talk to him about what has really been making her sad and breaking her heart all this time. She was trying to be fierce but she never really was to be honest. The whole thing was wrapped up in the fastest way possible. This is not what I was really waiting for from the hot intro given about them in the first book. But well, the romance is there and his fear of losing her and the way he's treating her shows just how much can love change a person.
I didn't like this one as much as the first. I got the impression he was jonesing for her way before she turned 18 and that made it kind of gross for me. She was also a bit of a brat and acted like what she was, an 18 year old girl.
Love A.R. so much, but this hero is just not it. It's nothing nice about the guy being engaged to your sibling instead of the heroine on top of that he forcefully marries the heroine, not only that but embarrasses her by throwing her in the pool as per their dumb tradition and breaks her phone and basically calls her out on being poor and this all happened in 3 chaps -.- I still don't believe this is by A.R and never will
I have, personally, never been a fan of a male hero who treats the heroine badly and disrespectfully because 'it's a tradition' or because 'every male character in town praises him for it'. I was ready to aww when he re-shaped the very patriarchy-vibey tradition so she wouldn't be [insert spoiler] but then he still went with it and it felt like when a middle schooler tries to do something 'cool' to impress the high schoolers. I wanted more of a 'cult leader' and less of a 'follower'.
I did not like this book at all! I think it's probably one of the worst books by Alexa Riley I've ever read which is such a horrible thing for me to have to say because I love AR's work! Their books have been a comfort staple of mine for years but this one just didn't come close to the standard of their old books. I remember throughout the book thinking what am I even reading??
