What do you get when you mix a dive bar, a worn velvet couch, and a discussion about goats?
The night I met Owen, obviously.
Talk about the unexpected. I sought out my private nook in Wicked Chucks, looking for a good view of the band. Instead, I got a front-row seat to the most delicious man I’ve ever seen.
He’s everything I never knew existed but being with him means breaking my own rules.
I didn’t invent the rules, but I play by them.
Rules maintain order. Rules keep me focused. Okay, rules suck, but they also keep me safe.
Now, I have a man who wants to toss out my rule book and create a new one. Together.
Some Rules are Meant to be Broken…
What do you get when you combine a tiny woman with a mile-wide stubborn streak, unwavering dating rules, and a hard-hitting passion?
My current situation.
I went to Wicked Chucks for the music, but I met Tally instead, right after she crashed through the balcony door and into my arms.
The first thing I realized? She’s a total klutz. The second? I was staring into the face of the woman I’d been eyeing all night, and she was even more beautiful up close. But when she started discussing blood oaths and goats, her coolness factor skyrocketed.
No joke, this woman is made for me. She’s gorgeous, funny, and sexy without trying.
Only one small problem—she has rules. Two of them are cake. The last one? That might be a problem.

This was exhausting to read. I almost DNFd it so many times but I hate DNFing and it’s so early into the year I just didn’t want to do it so soon, so I suffered through.
The writing style in general wasn’t bad. You could tell the author was a good writer, it was the terrible characters and storyline that ruined it. First the male mc was a piece of shit, I’m all for an alphahole, this was just a lying self centered douche bag. Constantly said he loved the female mc more than anything but showed he loved himself and money more than anything. He should have cut his ex fiancé off and out of his life when she showed up. Yet he kept stringing along that job offer? Lmao no if he actually loved the female mc he would want nothing to do with that woman. So gross. Then the fact that it was just fucking lie after lie. He lied to her about anything and everything. His job, his ex, his life, who was calling him, what he was doing for dinner. Like give me a break that man wouldn’t know the truth if it hit him in the face. Then he kept grabbing her by the arms and squeezing and such when he was mad. Domestic abuse isn’t charming.
Also, there was a pretty large amount of typos / spelling errors.
This book was awful. I’m sorry, I really struggle to rate anything less than 3 stars, but this one.. I can’t even quietly leave a bad review.
First of all, Owen could not for the life of him stop lying and hiding things. This wasn’t sexy or charming, it wasn’t a miscommunication. This man actively chose to withhold information that should VERY MUCH have been shared. The first time? Okay buddy. The second? You’re done. Please do not read this book and set an expectation that your lying boyfriend might be a good guy underneath. Please. Men do not treat women they love like this. I’m honestly appalled at this entire story. Maybe I need to stick with fantasy genre? But this was really gross.
Additionally I’m a huge fan of the fated mates trope, and this felt like a non fantasy version of it, but in a gross, twisted way. These two met once and immediately both of them were like “this is it, love at first sight.” Okay cute, but then it became disturbing and toxic with how much Owen just shit all over her and then did a pathetic groveling act, and she took him back and then he’d just do it all again. And he insisted she get over his transgressions because he loved her at first sight? And she continued to let him shit on her because what? She loved him at first sight? I’m sorry this is so toxic, please for the love of god do not feel like this soulmate feeling you may feel for a man means you should ever tolerate this kind of treatment. This isn’t a nice fairytale, this is a dangerous, toxic relationship wrapped in pretty bows and served up to young women who may be struggling with toxic men and giving them false hope their asshole boyfriend is the one. Lipstick on a pig. Owen was a piece of shit. He never stopped lying. Your boyfriend that maybe you feel like he’s your soulmate, but he keeps treating you like shit then groveling and repeating it? He’s also a piece of shit. Owen isn’t a catch, he’s a manipulative asshole. I’m sorry. Even his reasoning for SOME of his shit was bad and others nonexistent. He literally did nothing to earn back her trust and she just kept giving in.
I just need to say it one more time, it’s desperately important. This wasn’t good, it wasn’t healthy, or sexy, if a man reminds you of Owen, in any way, run.
Second, tally, not the strong female the writer wanted her to be. No, she was really pathetic. I’m sorry. It got old really fast how much she allowed this man to do, and how one dirty comment would send her flying back into his arms. Just sad..
And lastly, the technical writing was decent, but the timeline or maybe the flow of time in the writing felt so weird. It was hard to get a real feeling of where the hell time was at certain points in the book.
OH and one more point, I almost ditched the book in the very beginning, when tally was all “my bestie is my ride or die” but then her friend who knows she never has an interest in men, ACTIVELY TRIED TO TAKE THE DUDE AWAY FROM HER. Like literally walks in with her on his lap, and then still pulls every card to try to win him over? That’s not a fucking friend, that was shitty. This whole book was just red flags, and not the sexy ones. Just yikes.
Absolutely terrible. Main characters have absolutely no chemistry. No reason for them to be chasing each other around, pursuing this unseen love.
Talulah is inconsistent. I understand she is supposed to be an abuse victim survivor, with the ptsd and responses typical for such a person, however, it just did not read that way. There just was not enough connecting back to her past to explain why she would be thinking the way she was, or making the choices she was.
She was constantly making problems in their relationship for what seemed like no reason. It was so annoying to read I just wanted to be done it so I could write a review about the entire book. She is always running away from Owen, making him out to be a bad guy when he isn’t, and making life or death emotions about small mistakes.
The premise of the book that hooked me had a much better story line: girls gets pregnant by her boss; his ex fiancée shows up looking to reconcile and he doesn’t know about the pregnancy. Much simpler. Much more clear cut plot line and conflict.
What we got instead? My god, where do I start. Spousal abuse, alcoholism, mental health, miscommunication trope - on end, billionaire, sexy doctor, pregnancy, undying love, meddling ex returns, and more.
Oh and the jealousy trope?!?! Omg give it a rest. Both of them stupidly jealous of the other people in their lives despite constant reassurances and explanations.
It’s just. Dumb. All of the things that made each of the characters was quickly lost. They meet in a dive bar and love punk. She wears a wig that we never see again and he’s best friends with the band that we never see again? He shaves his head and grows a beard and his appearance is never mentioned again. Also, not a doctor, but is that very sanitary? Having a beard as a surgeon? I know they’re all covered but I’m imagining some big massive beard that would probably trail inside body cavities. Just me.
I was scrolling through tiktok when I came across this book - the few sentences the person had posted caught my eye, but damn, I kind of regret putting the time into this one. . . The pair met at a bar and apparently fell right in love. ONLY AFTER A FEW HOURS TOGETHER. Anyways, she's a nurse, and he's a doctor, and anyone would think - they would be the perfect couple. Until she reveals one of her rules, she doesn't date doctors. So Owen decides to lie and lie and lie to this poor woman until eventually the truth comes out, and she turns off her emotions like a light switch. . . This is where I started to slowly hate the book. She accepted his apology and then got mad at him again like 15 different times. Like, what the hell??? I was getting whiplash from her going back and forth so much, I can't believe this man thought she was worth all the trouble. . . Then she finds out she's pregnant - and just as she goes to tell her baby daddy, his ex-fiance (who thinks this guy is still her man) shows up and causes so much trouble. With this woman in the picture, it causes even more miscommunication and causes Lu to hate and love Owen 20 more fucking times! . . I just can't with this book - I think it was good storyline idea, but was just written so poorly.

If you love angst filled romance novels like My Favorite Souvenir by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, then you will love this book. In my humble opinion this is M.L. Broome’s best work yet.
With a spitfire Tallulah and hot cardiologist, Owen, this read rung me through all of the emotions. Anger, jealousy, lust, and love. The humor is also worth the mention. FTTYS had me laughing out loud and making me want to friend the characters.
“Then there’s me—the Anti-Stefani. Standing next to her willowy from, I might be mistaken for her pet chihuahua.”
This book hit so many of my favorite tropes, the two main ones being forbidden and secret baby but I won’t go into more details so as not to spoil the plot twists, of which there are many.
Steamy: YES HEA: YES Angst: Heck yes
I highly recommend you put this baby on your TBR, or better yet, pre-order ♥
This was such wattpad book, I ATE IT UP. It wasn't a great book but I enjoyed it 💀 because it was just so....wattpad. 😭
Tally (h) definitely belonged in therapy because the amount of insecurities and delusions the poor girl had was just insanely draining. Although I do have to say, she is literally every girl who daydreams, romanticises every situation AND is insanely delusional, making something out of nothing. (So me 😟✋️) Owen (H) was a lovesick puppy who also kept things unnecessarily from her and then she kicked off, they had a fight, broke up, had makeup sex but they didn't really makeup and then they got back together with one another. Ow drama next and then the cycle repeated. So yes toxic and full of unnecessary drama but like said, I ATE IT ALL UP. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Are we just going to ignore the SA that occurs? (more on this later)
I saw the reviews on how exhausting this book was so I was expecting it but wow... I have never felt more emotionally drained after reading a book. I kept going because I thought it would get better and it did not. It got worse… until the very last page. Buckle up because spoilers from this point on but I’ll try not to reveal too much.
I’m in the minority here since it was the MMC I had the most issues with.
Don’t get me wrong Tally was a piece of work - I won’t go on much too about the FMC because everyone pretty much nailed it, she was all over the place. I couldn’t understand how/why every time they’d argue she’d go off on these rants about how pissed she was after the MANY mistakes Owen makes — hyping the reader up when she stood up for herself (at least that's how I felt) — only for her to crack a joke 2 lines later and then turn around and say she’s done with him in the same paragraph. It completely pulled me out of the story and her feelings every time she made a joke? This happens A LOT and EVERY argument was a long speech by her, followed by a giggle/joke, only for her to break up with him.
Now to the MMC. I’m sorry but Owen was kinda weak lol. He literally lied (whether blatantly or by omission) up until 91% of the book. He technically lied until the very end, but the one at the end I guess was a sweeter lie of omission but still. He’d lie, they’d fight, he’d apologize only to LIE AGAIN. Tally had rules and literally lying was it.
Don’t even get me started on the amount of times he said he would “handle it” after his ex-fiancee Charlotte did something cruel only TO DO NOTHING or say he’d see Tally later only to blow her off FOR MEETINGS WITH HIS EX. I LITERALLY LOST COUNT. I understand it was business but dude she’s pregnant and you’re telling her you’ll be home only to not come home? Come freaking on!
From the moment his ex showed up it took him nearly 40%, which frankly was 39% too long, of the story to finally set boundaries between him and her and that was a futile effort.
1. She would show up at his house unannounced in literally every other chapter - did or said something to Tally almost every time. 2. She lied and TOLD ALL OF the hospital staff they were STILL engaged and he was off limits (to which he did nothing about, after claiming he’d deal w it (he does not -- it’s never brought up again). 3. She forced him to go to an event as his date and he invites tally to attend but doesn’t argue with Charlotte to allow him to bring Tally as a plus one so Tally ends up seated on the other side of the room. He also did nothing about any of this. 4. And the amount of times he allowed Charlotte speak about Tally and make snide comments about her TO HIM- he should’ve shut those conversations down. He wouldn't stand up for Tally when Charlotte would make these comments and that did not sit right with me. Honestly, I don’t blame miss Char for thinking she stood a chance at this point. 5. Aside from Charlotte’s meddling, bitchy behavior, taunting of Tally/making fun of and insulting, manipulating the list goes on. Let’s talk about her PREDATORY behavior. Charlotte full-on sexually assaults and blackmails Owen, why aren’t we talking about this? She not only kisses him but unzips his pants and grabs him ya know, there in the middle of an event.
Charlotte works with doctors but she knowingly puts pregnant Tally in these emotionally charged and high-stress situations and Owen doesn’t do shit. He actually is also putting her in these emotionally charged and high-stress situations.
This is why I say it got worse until the very end: By the end Owen is very open about his disdain for Charlotte, (he only put up with it because her rich daddy is funding his project that could save lives) her father actually demotes her and revokes any decision making from her and he offers Owen a deal that Owen cuts Charlotte out of because of everything that she’s done. Owen mentions multiple times that he never actually loved her, never knew was love was, never felt even a fraction of what he feels for Tally. Charlotte also cheated on him multiple times but he didn’t seem to care all that much vs he hates men even being near Tally. If anything he liked that Charlotte cheated so he could have more reason to hate her and not reconcile.
With that being said, after the final straw he finally stands up and causes a scene at an event and calls Charlotte out for her crap, tells her to stfu and has a big (off page) blow out and he tells her and everyone he never loved her and he’s out of the business deal. Only for something to happen at the end that puts Owen in surgery and Charlotte shows up and Tally looks at her and says “he’s always loved you and always will" as some sort of olive branch but WTF no he literally hates her. Why couldn’t she have just said something like “I understand why you behaved the way he did, I wouldn’t want to let Owen go either” it was so bazaar and made no sense for Tally to say that to Charlotte. That whole conversation ruined the end for me. They also forgive her WAY too easily at the end.
Last thing that I hate never got a resolution: Tally brings up her ex who was doctor (reason for her no dating doctors rule) beat her so badly she ended up with nearly 100 stitches and a broken jaw and wrist. The ex lies and she gets fired and he gets off scot free. She tells Owen this, who’s fam comes from power, also Charlotte’s (very rich and powerful) daddy owes them a favor after everything she’s done - I don’t see why they didn’t use their power to pull strings to get this doctor fired and his license revoked. I’m sorry but is he still out there practicing medicine and hurting other women???
3 Stars bc despite my issues with the book, I did enjoy it -- the writing isn’t bad and it was entertaining as hell! I wish the author spent more time showing them working on themselves and their self-destructive behavior instead of throwing in curveballs one after the other.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Owen and Tally 2.75- This was too long —- maybe a 150 pages of trimming down and it would have been decent. Owen meets Tally at a punk bar. He’s fresh from California. They hit it off. She’s feisty but has a low self esteem. H s crazy about her but she constantly sees other women as prettier than her etc. She doesn’t date Doctors, guess what Owen is. There’s a lot of push back from Tally… and OW drama from Owens ex. He’s always faithful but is on the gravy train his rich ex dangles in front of him. .
Looks like I’m in the minority here, but I’m stuck at about 50/50 on whether I spent my reading time enjoying it or wanting to pull my hair out. The author seems excited in the afterword about it being a rollercoaster and angsty, but honestly I found it more frustrating than anything. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge angst lover, but the constant ups and downs were waaay too much. I literally lost track of how many times they’d make up and then Tally would find something to spin into something it wasn’t and then they’d be ‘friends’ again. (Sometimes there wasn’t even a full day that passed and then it’d be something else.) If there were legitimate issues, I’d be more willing to tolerate it, but the fact that most were so exaggerated or complete double-standards drove me insane. This is not something I like in a book and had I known in advance what I was getting into I most likely would have skipped it. BUT, that being said, I did like it enough to stick it out. The writing was decent and I thought the plot and characterizations were good. Definitely a great story, just super aggravating. I don’t even know how many times I was audibly arguing with Tally’s logic, and once at Owen’s.
Anyway… I have to note that I deducted one star for “Darlin”. It might just be me, but it’s a pet name that I find to be suuuper cringy. Lucky me since it was used 121 times, so… Yeah. 😬
The miscommunication trope is one thing, but dude doesn't get the memo. And she eventually just stops trying. I love my husband yet when he lies to me I want to cut off his balls. Sex is all well and good but communication is the key to building a life together.
Another gripping and captivating read by M.L. Broome! I knew straight away by the title, this read would have me going down a rabbit hole of emotions and true to M.L. Broome style, I was not disappointed. This story makes you think about the importance of being upfront and honest in relationships. Should you always divulge the little secrets hiding in your closet? Does it make things better or worse in the end? I found myself eagerly flipping through the pages, racing to the end. I needed answers and I needed to know how this roller coaster ride would end. Warning, you're going to hate the ex in this! If you enjoy love to hate characters, get ready to buckle up for this ride. I absolutely loved this story and couldn't imagine a more fitting title.
I don’t normally write reviews…. If you like immature & insecure female main characters Tally is your girl. This book for 400 pages constantly back and forth about the same thing. Then hiding the fact she is pregnant after complaining Owen constantly lied. I had to finish so I could honestly review this. Pages were skipped at the end. Also the FADE TO BLACK scenes… boo.
i’m sorry but why is bro bald? really threw me off and genuinely couldn’t take him seriously as the only person he reminded me of was andrew tate. dnf yet. will maybe reconsider if bro grows hair cuz “bald scalp” ain’t doing it for me.
Listen, I don't even know how to explain how exhausted I am from reading this book😳😱
Tally is all over the place emotionally and she hardly gives Owen a chance to explain himself or even just a proper chance to show her how much he actually loves her.
The poor dude was groveling before they even started officially dating! 🫣
This book had the premise of something great but man, I feel like the execution wasn't the best.
I powered through because I thought it would get better but this is one of those prime examples of a booktok rec that didn't live up to hype😕
OH wow I really loved Forget to tell you something it drove me bonkers with how the characters would handle certain situations but in the end I fell deeply for the couple . This would be the first but not last story I read by M.L Broome and I can't wait to see what's to come . When I read the review I looked up the authors previous books and added them to my cart and them once this baby hit my kindle I devoured it . I hope to see more from the these characters I really thought they made the book that much great .
When I saw little snippets of this on TikTok, it seemed heaps interesting. But actually reading it. Nope. Contemplated putting it in the DNF pile but I was closer to end so I figured I should just finish it.
Talk about a miscommunication trope. Stupid decisions from all parties. I was ready to throw my kindle a few times. Not a fan of this one.
Starting my review at 44% into the book as I felt compelled to start writing….
I’m on the fence so far. I want to love their story but it’s edging to being too toxic. Owen is a walking red flag, says the right things but completely does the other. I hate it when the mmc hasn’t got an interest in the other women around him but almost uses them as a tool to make the fmc jealous. Men wouldn’t need to reassure women if they didn’t do anything to warrant the need for reassurance!!! Get with the program! It doesn’t make the mmc seem very likeable…perhaps I’m too old for the game playing to want to be endeared to the mmc in this series.
Owen has just taken a phone call from his ex fiancé who Tally knows nothing about……and then lies to Tally…again!!! Like I said..a walk red flag. Like the mmc in this authors previous book in the series…actions speak louder than words. The men talk the talk but don’t walk the walk.
Off to read some more…..
I’m now at 66% and tbh I’m loving the angst. The back and forth might not be for everyone and Owen is frustrating me but I can’t stop reading! He’s still saying one thing and doing another which is very contradictory when he says he loves Tally but he still being very selfish at this point. Tally is speaking her mind which I like and telling him his behaviour is unacceptable.
The most annoying thing is the recipe could’ve been so simple…they could be doing everything together if only he’d been honest. They could’ve been side by side going to the business meetings and events together, but because of his secrecy and lies that’s not an option…but then again there wouldn’t be much of a story and the angst would’ve been missing.
I love this storyline but want to hang up the mmc by his short and curlies!!!!!
Off to read some more……
Page 351…..Oh Tally tally tally, believe in yourself. Stop comparing yourself to Charlotte. You’re putting words into Owen’s mouth, he’s not saying the words YOU are.
Page 396 OMG That man is giving me whiplash!!! What a DICK!! Sold out his relationship for money. As much as I now hate the mmc at least the book is making me rage. I just can’t understand his thought process….then immediately says to Tally he’ll give up the deal. He’s a walking contradiction and just as I was getting endeared to him again he throws another bomb into their relationship. If it was that easy to give up why take the offer in the first place?? I’m enraged for Tally. Once again actions speak louder than words. He really can’t be that stupid. And no you don’t LOOK like a total prick…you ARE a total prick. He talks like the decision was out of his control and it’s a misunderstanding. News flash trash…you are the one keeping secrets and not discussing anything with Tally first, then blame everyone else when she is blindsided!
Ending. Tally I’m so disappointed. She let him walk all over her. He hadn’t learned anything and kept making choices that didn’t include her or at least went against his promise.
The mmc showed no growth. Just because a man is primarily a good person, the treatment of their spouse/partner is what’s most important.
I’m so enraged that she gave in so quickly. His choices never chose her first, always second. He may have done a 180 but too little too late. He had two weeks to make a decision and still put money first and Tally second…..knowing he lied to her and was going back on his word, he said he loves her but never once made the right choice…what a wet blanket. She forgave him so easily. Just because he did the right thing in the end doesn’t erase his choices and lies. I would be so hurt that the deal was even an option…especially after he promised. Also there was an undertone that choosing the money then chose Charlotte’s sexual undertone blackmail as well….that part was swept under the carpet (even though Tally was unaware). I just can’t. I’m so angry that we didn’t see any growth from Owen, all the way through he lied, had secrets and made awful decisions…whilst claiming to love Tally. There was a little twist where he secured her job but again, no communication and it didn’t make him look any better. A healthy relationship is always based on good communication…..not secrets and lies. There’s a reason Tally pushed back throughout the book and the time when there should been more ‘grovel’ she forgave him immediately…because she suddenly got her groove back. Wow.
I get it has to be angst driven and a rollercoaster to keep readers engaged, but it can’t be at the detriment to the characters and readers then disliking their character. I LOVE angst in story but not written just for the sake of drama and it can’t hinder their development as it effects the HEA.
3/5 for making me so engaged and yet so enraged.

Going to be harsh in my review and give away most of the issues so don’t read if you don’t want to be disappointed. So honestly, there are 459 pages in this book and about 300 of them are the two main characters bickering between, him lying and her not trusting him or him begging and saying he will never do anything like that again and how can she forgive him. The storyline itself was good if it had not been so repetitive on their issues. Honestly, the guy just lied too much or he didn’t clarify things and let her jump to conclusions. However, she also jumped to conclusions way too quickly over the littlest things instead of coming to him and asking. After their initial blow up they should’ve built trust, he should’ve explained and not hid things, she should’ve trusted him after he proved himself the first time but after breaking her trust multiple times she should have just let him go.

Fricken exhausted reading this. Tally’s “not like the other girls” fit throwing mis communication every other page is completely out of control. Girl needs some MF therapy
Angst lovers, have I got a new queen for you! This talented lady takes the angst to a whole new level. At times, I thought it was too much and that my heart would never survive everything she was putting it through, but have no fear. It was all worth it in the end to take this out-of-control, breathtaking ride.
Tally and Owen meet when he invades her hidden away couch in the balcony of a dive bar. It’s the perfect place to watch the live band and not have to deal with the crowd, and it's an unspoken rule that this space belongs to Tally. She and Owen hit it off instantly, enough so that she tells him her rules about dating, and the one kind of man she won't date. Afraid he might lose her before he's even gotten her, Owen neglects to tell Tally that he violates that rule.
Now a smart man would learn from the fall-out after a woman discovers he's kept something important like that. Owen may be brilliant in his professional life but, bless his heart, he's not very bright when it comes to women and matters of the heart. And thus, the roller coaster ride begins.
Most authors create a situation or two like this, but Broome continues to toy with these characters and the readers emotions throughout the book. I found myself rolling my eyes at Owen, thinking, “You poor, dumb man, not again,” but cheering for Tally when she found her inner warrior and stood up for herself.
But there was always that thread of hope woven throughout, knowing these two truly belonged together and that somehow, everything. would work out. It just had to, because these two belong together. Despite all of their challenges, a deep, abiding love and some of the most electric chemistry was always there.
So just expect your heart to be treated like a baseball in the World Series and then stitched back together better than new. This is a heartbreaking, anxious, tender, euphoric, satisfying read, and you won’t want to miss it!
Forgot to Tell You Something is a stand-alone novel by M.L. Broome. It's the first book I had the chance to read from this author and, honestly, I am not sure if I want to try another one. I couldn't even finish this one.
My main issue is how hostile Tally seemed to be towards any woman Owen was talking to. I got tired of her accusing him of sleeping with every single woman who was within a short distance from him. What do I mean? Owen and Tally hit it off right away and he is clearly showing interest but Tally is pushing him off (as she kept doing up to the point I ended up quitting the book) and Tally's friend starts hitting on him. Tally doesn't say a word to her friend about being interested in him and long story short, the best friend gets very drunk and Owen drives her home because she wasn't in condition to go by herself. Tally spends the entire time thinking that Owen and her friend will sleep together. Another time, she sees him talking to a doctor who is very hot and she starts thinking that he is sleeping with her too. Tally was dragging the other woman for showing interest in a man Tally was claiming to want nothing to do with.
The second issue was Owen's games. Tally was doing her passive/aggressive thing where she wants Owen, but doesn't want to want him and Owen decided to goad/needle her by not stopping the hot doctor's advances because he knew Tally would get jealous. Honestly, if Tally had made up her mind about him sooner, a lot of drama would have been prevented.
Owen's secret which is the one that will break Tally's rule number 3 is revealed relatively early in the book and it causes A LOT of drama. I was expecting something bigger, but in a way, I am glad it wasn't something worse because even more drama plus pushing and pulling would have happened.
I hate the FMC. She has the absolute worst case of selective hearing. Yes she’s been hurt before but she is so incredibly narrow minded and selfish that I actually wanted to DNF. Then she intentionally keeps the baby a secret from him because he “lied” again. Thoughts while reading this- I should DNF He literally is trying to do everything to slow that she is his ex and FMC pretty much plugs her ears and says “I’m not listening” Why am I still reading this? “His ex isn’t his ex” yet he just tried to kiss you in front of her and has been saying that he doesn’t want her over and over again. He deserves so much better than this Toxic FMC He’s been literally asking you to marry him since day 1 and now you think He wants to marry you because of the baby only? This book is such a dumpster fire
4 star review of Forgot To Tell You Something by M L Broome M L Broome is a new author to me. What happens when your meet someone that you know is going to complicate your life even as you try and fight the attraction? When Owen and Tallulah (Tally) meet at Wicked Chucks, neither knew that their lives were about to change. Is fate playing a trick on them? They are opposites and yet the attraction between them is hard to ignore. This was a book that drew me in, there was angst, steam, humour and plot twists but at times I got a little confused as to what was happening. It seemed that Tally kept changing her mind a lot and I was frustrated that it took most of the book for Owen to stand up to his horrid ex.
