Great guide for beginners

I am interested in taking up knitting. This book opens by going over what equipment and materials will be necessary to take up this hobby. It also goes over the yarn gauge, needle size and shape, how to read patterns, etc. I liked that when it came to the steps to get started there was a picture with every step. I found that made it very easy to follow along. I would recommend this book to any one who needs the basics of knitting explained.
