Someone on Youtube mentioned Nicole Fox in a mafia video, so I found this one on my Hoopla and decided to give it a try. It's pretty short, and I was really enjoying the beginning. Bella is the daughter of a senator and she's kidnapped by members of the mafia who are blackmailing her dad. Things turn pretty hot and heavy between her and one of her kidnappers and they quickly start to fall for each other. It was fun watching them play with each other and for Bella to play with Yuri once she realized he wasn't actually going to hurt her. The two end up working together for a common goal and I enjoyed how they teamed up to try and survive together. Their romance did progress pretty quickly, but I didn't mind too much because of how short the book was. I wasn't super in love with the end, but things were definitely interesting. This was fun and I can't wait to pick up more by this author!

hot. hot. oh .. and hot.

Trapped with the Mob Boss was such a quick freaking book. It was a page turner since the moment she was kidnapped. A bit predictable unfortunately, but I ate everything up anyways. In it, you will meet Yuri and Bella. These two had insta - everything. So it wasn't that hard to see where this book was going to go. Just know that there's action, betrayal, smut, and even a happy ending. The ending actually made me laugh a little but I was really happy with how everything went.

Overall, I'm definitely down to dive into another mob book from this author.

DNF @3%

I know that’s not nearly long enough time to judge if it’s good or not but if a book starts out the same way another book that I read previously did..there’s no reason for me to continue. Plus if within that 3% when the girl gets captured and she already has her captures three fingers in her vag and she’s loving it then no way in hell im gonna keep reading.

DNF at only 3%. Starting a book out of a women being kidnapped, sexually assaulted and her enjoying it is too much for me. How about some character or plot building first Jesus 🤮

This is my first time reading this author and it was a decent read quick pace i enjoyed it.

Bella!!! She was anything but shy and staying silent she talked back to her kidnappers thanks to her father dealings with the Russian mob. She was strong headed but she did have her naive moments.. and Yuir.. lords he wasn't to dark or to ruthless he was stubborn, jerkish and charming.. and mixed emotions on Bella.. then things didnt add up the twist and turns and secrets being kept from Yuir and Bella. Plus the sexual tension and banter was hot!!

Why no 4 solid or 5 no epilogue :( i wanted to know more like 4 years in the future and stuff..

No ow/om drama, no cheating, drama, sexy times, No virgins

Recommend - maybe

This was a short quick read that I liked by an author who is becoming one of my go to authors for a mafia read. Bella is a rich daughter of a senator her life consist of not being able to live how she wants to she has bodyguards who follow her everywhere she can't date with the man being vetted and if he does have things in his past she can't date them. So she has to sneak around and hide behind her father's back. Bella gets kidnapped by the Russians because they want something from her Dad the senator. However, as time goes on things aren't as they seem. Bella's Dad did answer the ransom which surprises her but what surprises her most is that her kidnapper Yuri is gorgeous and not as tough as he seems. Bella is not what Yuri thought she would be and she got under his skin. This was a good read that I liked I love reading Nicole's mafia reads. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

DNFed very quickly.

Why?
Because the heroine is an unlikeable shallow dumbass, that's why.
Yuri kidnaps her, assaults her sexually and she falls for him?
Yeah, I don't think so.

I'll hesitantly try another book from the series but this one is a no-no.

Shame, because I actually like Fox.

At its heart, Trapped with the Mob Boss is a story about being torn between conflicting loyalties. Do we honor the truth, or stay devoted to the Family? And what happens when the people we love turn out to be different than who we thought they were?

The questions that drive this book are tough - but luckily, the characters are up to the challenge. Yuri is one of my favorite heroes to date, because he does everything 100% - he loves and fights with equal fervor. He finds his match in Bella, a sassy fighter if ever there was one.

Together, they offer an answer to the question of how to navigate betrayal and find hope in dark times.

Enjoy!

this was decently OK - kind of enjoyed it!! LOL - a nice short listen but also wasn't anything special - looks like it's a lengthy series that doesn't get much higher ratings so I probably won't keep going. Also looks like this author has an overwhelmingly massive amount of books, which kinda intimidates.

Dumbest book ever. The plot had more holes than baby Swiss, and most of it didn’t make sense. In the beginning, the heroine is kidnapped by the Russian mob and kept in a dank basement (for about five minutes) and they threaten her life numerous times. The very next scene the Hero tells her they need to “lay low” and he take her to a ritzy hotel, buys her clothes, and takes her out dancing. She doesn’t try to escape or communicate with someone, she just flirts with every guy she comes across. Then she insists the mobster hero take her to her father’s office and she shows him how to break into the computer system to prove her fathers not a crook. It didn’t get any better from there. So many things happened with no explanation or discussion whatsoever. I sucked it up and finished it only because I was driving and I had nothing else to do.

Honestly, I can't believe I spent money on this. It's like those rushed wattpad fanfictions with no character development and no meaning to the story.

The "mafia boss" wasn't really a boss, I mean he never even gave an order and was very soft the whole time. Not that I didnt like Yuri, he was actually nice, but he wasn't the bad and dangerous mafia boss I was expecting.

The whole plot was very rushed and with not much background story or real mafia deals. This didn't feel like a mafia book at all, more like an erotic one with some action and gunfire.

I usually like fast-paced books, but nothing made sense here.

We have a heroine—a Senator's daughter—who gets kidnapped by a Russian mobster. On her first night in captivity, she gets sexually assaulted by the hero (he fingers her) and instead of being scared, she's actually into it? Bella seems to have no sense of self-preservation whatsoever, repeatedly taunting her kidnapper and his father despite being at their mercy. There's bravery and then there's stupidity...

Flashforward two days later, Yuri's moving them to a luxurious hotel so they can "lay low" (how is that laying low if they're out in the open?) and they end up having sex. Remember, this is like two or three days after her kidnapping. Yuri doesn't even seem to watch her that closely, and she never tries to escape. They act like a couple on a honeymoon. Again... What?

Another two days filled with f*cking and suddenly hero's thoughts are all love, sunshine and unicorns. He wants to "make love" to Bella. They suddenly start working together to find the Senator because apparently Yuri would rather work with a girl he met five days ago than his own father. They have a conversation about wanting kids one day.

...Okay then.

The rest of the book is packed with action scenes, which is probably the only good part of this whole mess. The twist at the end is nice, and the writing is good in a strictly technical sense. I'm curious to see whether this was a one-time slip, because the author seems talented. I will check out the next book in the series to see if it's any better.

My rating: 2/5 (only because the writing was good, but the romance made no sense)

It took me a while to warm up to Yuri. He starts as a cold blooded assassin who's extremely loyal to his father. But he changes gradually during the time he spends with Bella. Some changes came very soon. Others took a few days. And then they actually fall in love. I came to like the man Yuri's become in the end. He was even kinda sweet. The scene at their wedding made me smile and go Awww! I also liked Bella. She had balls. She was strong, brave and badass. So, yeah, Yuri and Bella are a really cute couple. They're actually perfect for each other.
I wouldn't mind to read about Yuri's brothers. Maybe with Ivy?

Excellent mafia romance!!

Yuri kidnaps Bella at the behest of his father, they are trying to get her father to fall back in line and cooperate with their family again. Yuri can't help but feel drawn towards Bella; she's beautiful, strong willed and doesn't back down when she's scared. There's more going on then just Bella's father's betrayal to Yuri's family. Someone else is playing both sides and it's going to take Bella's cooperation to figure out who is double dealing. This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

Nah!

This one seemed so interesting based on the blurb. And the beginning didn’t disappoint... then it got boring. Even skipping around didn’t help.

This was a solid short book, as long as you go in knowing this is designed to be quick and dirty and OTT. It is a super quick audio and it was really easy, no angst at all.

This is one of those books that is perfect during a slump. Something you go into without high expectations and just enjoy the instalove and utter ridiculousness of it.

I'm definitely going to dive in to the next one and see where this series goes.

What you get:
✅ Instalove
✅ Mafia with a dash of kidnapping
✅ OTT

If you read this, Enjoy My Friends….

CLIFFHANGER: No

My book-gadar is so fucking off I dont know what to do anymore. Try as I might to dip into different genres hoping I'd find some gold, for the life of me I can't. If you've read my reviews you'd know how much a love mafia romances. So when I saw this I thought, this has to do the trick but I'm here wondering what the fuck after reading it. Its crazy because although I enjoyed the drama, I wasn't impressed by the premise of the story at all. It lacked everything that I expect to see in a mafia romance. Despite the twists and turns, I was not on the edge of my seat with anticipation at all.

description

So our heroine is a senator's daughter who gets kidnapped by the mafia while out shopping. Oblivious to the underhanded life her father leads, she soon finds out that she's where she is because of her fathers association with the mafia.

Okay. Up to this point I'm on bored with the story so far. Totally plausible.

When Yuri and his father question Bella, they find out some information that result in Yuri and Bella seeking refuge in a hotel in the city. Bear in mind, this is literary the next day after the kidnap. She's suppose to be kidnapped by the Russian mafia. Brave as any girl may be, there is no way anyone in their right frame of mind, within 24 hours after being kidnapped with goad the mob boss like that. But our girl does...

description

That's not even the crazy part, within hours and I mean hours, they bumping nasties against the hotel walls. I mean who the fuck has sex with their kidnappers hours after the event willingly, not only willingly but after practically begging for it.

description

I knew right then that I should probably move on. But I didn't. The hero seemed like a really sweet guy. He did not have the attributes of Mob boss at all. I don't know when they fell in love with each other. Before I knew it, they were getting married and shit.

I think the intention for this to be a mafia book was not a good approach. It lacked the darkness of the underworld for sure. Yuri was too nice and soft for a supposedly rough and ruthless guy. The supporting characters were not well developed at all. I mean all that kidnapping and betrayal by Yuri's dad, none of his brothers wondered where they were? I mean they were on the run for a couple of day and it didn't occur to Yuri to even call his brothers for help?

Bella + Yuri

✔ Russian Mafia
✔ Senator’s daughter/ Mob Boss
✔ Kidnapper/ hostage
✔ Dual POV
✔ HEA

I admit this was not what I expected. I almost put it on my 'Never Read' shelf. But for some reason, I picked it up.

It was a good book. Short and sweet. With a few betrayals and lies that made the MCs second-guessing their loyalties. But yeah, they stayed true to each other which made me like this book actually. The female protagonist was strong and no matter what obstacle was being thrown in her way, she faced it without batting her eyes. And she tested Yuri's patience so much. I loved it. They had chemistry all right. Anyway, I would've loved to read more about their future together with their kids or something. I think we deserved that as well. Besides I'm a sucker for a good epilogue.

It was just all so quick. By the end of the book- not taking in account the Epilogue- they have known each other for a total of two weeks. Because of the quick pace I didn’t really vibe with this story. Don’t get me wrong. I really like mafia romances, and I’m all for insta love if there is substance being it, but in this book it was a lot in a short amount of time. I found some aspects very interesting and well done but felt like others left a lot to be desired so I’ll just explain. Yuri, the mob boss son captures Bella a Washington senators Daughter because her father who has been doing business with Yuri’s Family has failed to make the due payments and contact his father. At first Bella is enraged, but after being transferred from Yuri’s family house to an hotel being accompanied by Yuri this escalate quickly, so much so that in the first night they have sex. The day after Yuri’s father tells his that he has to go after the Society, a secret society that are the supposed enemies of Yuri’s family, the Petrov’s, and that he doesn’t care about Bella anymore because he doesn’t know where the senator is and so he cant use her as leverage. So Yuri goes back to the Hotel room and tells Vivian that he has to go and that she can return to her normal life after 24 hours and she refuses stating that she wont leave him but at this point she has known his for a full two days, three tops. I mean, WHAT. No matter how hot he his, he is giving you a out, you haven’t known him for nearly long enough to care about him or his well-being seeing has he knows how to defend himself because he has been in the mafia all of his life. When Bella rencounters her father in the basement after her and Yuri discovering that Society’s leader is Yuri’s father, Bella gets herself and her father free and again refuses to leave without Yuri, putting herself and her father in more danger than needed. It just didn’t make sense to me. All of these actions would feel more justified to me if they would have know each other for longer, of if they developed a deeper connection. I just feel like their relationship was superficial in most aspects. Sure they had a lot of sex and some conversations, but none of them rang heartfelt or rotted enough to me, but maybe that was just my experience and I couldn’t capture the authors intentions, I really don’t know, I just didn’t really feel a lot of chemistry between the characters. The pregnancy in the last chapter before the epilogue was also something that really irked me. It just felt life it was thrown in there for the sake of it rather than for the sake of the plot. It just felt random, and I truly don’t think it was necessary, but I guess it was used as a way to show that the 2 weeks that they have known each other was enough for them to love each other. I mean I didn’t even know Yuri had brothers until Bella mentioned it in the second to last episode. I just felt like the world and the characters weren’t really fleshed out, they were just thrown in there and were doing things, and because I felt like that I wasn’t really able to immerse myself, because I was running into a plot hole or dead end a lot of the time. That being said, I really liked the portrayal of Yuri’s father, Ivan, as a greedy, manipulative, cunning and unforgiving leader. It was one of my favorite aspects. As it was the plot twist, The fact that he was Society’s leader, having created it because of his greediness. I feel like the unveil was definitely the high point of the whole book. I feel like it would have had more impact had we known more about the Society, or even about the dynamics of the Petrov family. Overall I feel like this story could have been so much more, had it been developed in a different way. I realized after reading this book that its part of a series and I do not plan in picking up another book from this series. That might change but for now it’s how I feel. I get how someone who just wants a quick read could enjoy this book, but overall I was disappointed.
