This extraordinary document represents a new form of historical research, and straightens out many open questions and misinterpretations. It takes the form of direct dialogues between a modern researcher and a member of the Qumran Essene community, alive around the time of Christ.
The Qumran Essene community has become the focus of ideas about the connection of Jesus' teachings to earlier traditions. This book gives a full description of the nature and purpose of the community, and the birth and upbringing of Jesus and John the Baptist. Also, it gives Essene renderings of Key Old Testament stories, concerning Moses, Ezekiel, Daniel and others, plus startling insights into ancient history.
This information is candid and real, even about the Dead Sea Scrolls, and many Biblical images and statements are corrected and added to.
Dolores Cannon (1931 - 2014) was a self described "past-life regressionist" and hypnotherapist who specialized in the "recovery and cataloging" of "Lost Knowledge". Her roots in hypnosis went back to the 1960s, and she was specializing in past-life therapy since 1979.
Dolores became, perhaps, the world's most unlikely expert on the prophecies of Nostradamus. A retired Navy wife from Huntsville, AR, USA, Dolores was nearly fifty years old when she began experimenting with hypnosis and past-life regression. The results were, to say the least, quite spectacular!
Working through several different subjects, Dolores was able to establish communication with the living Michel De Notredame, better known as the prophet Nostradamus. His revelations and their impact on our own time are both fascinating and at times frightening.
Dolores has written the three volume set "Conversations With Nostradamus", the series on the translation of Nostradamus' quatrains. This series contains the translation of almost 1000 prophecies, all interpreted for the first time and have been in print since 1989. It is considered the most accurate interpretation of the prophecies ever printed.
Dolores has been a UFO investigator for twenty years, using her skills as a regressionist to help people that had been involved in abduction cases. She has written several books on the UFO information volunteers have revealed while under hypnosis.
Her unique technique of hypnosis is being taught all over the world via the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy.
Dolores has written 17 books about her research in hypnosis and UFO cases. Her books are translated into over 20 languages. She founded her own publishing company, Ozark Mountain Publishing, in 1992.
Dolores has toured in the USA, England, Europe, the former Soviet bloc countries, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Asia to promote her works, and to discuss her particular brand of psychic research. She has spoken to radio and television audiences worldwide. She has given lectures at such locations as: Whole Life Expos in Los Angeles, New York and San Diego; Global Science Congress; various A.R.E. Edgar Cayce Foundations; Conscious Living Expo and MBS Expo in Australia; The College of Psychic Studies in London, England; The Theosophical Society in London, England; as well as many other organizations. Dolores was the first American and the first foreigner to receive the "Orpheus Award" in Bulgaria, for the highest advancement in the research of psychic phenomena.
Articles by/about Dolores have appeared in several magazines including: "Body, Mind and Spirit"; "Magical Blend"; "Connecting Link"; "Kindred Spirit" (an England magazine); "People Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "Conscious Living Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "After Dark" (the Art Bell magazine); "The Unknown Magazine"; "The Washington Post"; and "New York Times". Also magazines and newspapers in Russia, Spain, South America, Bulgaria, Japan and Arab countries.
Dolores appeared on various TV specials including "A Current Affair" (in Australia); BBC Documentary Series "Divine Magic"; "Ancient Mysteries of the World" (a two hour special on CBS); "Ancient Prophecies I and Ancient Prophecies II" (two hour specials on NBC); "Encounters" ( a one hour special on FOX network); "Good Day LA" (in California); "Mysteries, Magic and Miracles" (the Sci-Fi Channel); "Marilu Talk Show" (ABC); "Biography" (series on A&E Channel); "America After Hours" (CNBC); "CNN International Entertainment News".
She has spoken on over 1000 radio shows including Art Bell’s Dreamland, George Noory’s Coast to Coast, and Shirley MacLaine, plus speaking at innumerable conferences worldwide. In addition she had her own weekly radio show, the Metaphysical Hour, on BBS Radio for nine years.
I make no apologies for believing in and liking past life, regression books. No matter the regression topic, be it religious, historical, or alien-based, I believe. What does it hurt? In the unlikely event all the people that have been regressed are the world’s greatest actors and their accounts are all fiction, my time has been well spent as I have been entertained. If they are true, they are awe inspiring and bring me joy, wonder, and hope.
The life of Jesus is documented through the subject’s regression to an Essene name Suddi who was alive at the time of the birth of Jesus witnessing and explaining what he saw as the Star of Bethlehem. Later, he became a teacher of Jesus. So interesting to know “the rest of the story” as it were.
Not all is Jesus-related though. Much of the book documents Suddi’s life. What it was like to live during this time as an Essene. Things described by the regressed subject as Suddi about life in his village have since been documented by archeologists. It was also interesting to learn that people around this time were much wiser than we imagined. Their outlook on life was so positive. Our modern lives are filled with benefits but I believe in a world where the biggest stress in life among many of the younger generation is the fear of their phone battery dying, a past life regression recalling what life is really about adds a wonderful perspective.
Initially, I found this book less readable than the sequel "They walked with Jesus", but as I progressed the book became more and more readable and in fact fascinating.
Dolores regresses her subject, Katie, back to a life as an Essene, Suddi, at a time that proved to be contemporary with Jesus, though Suddi was born some years before Jesus. She talks to Suddi at different periods of his life, from the age of 12 to subsequent to his death when he was over sixty.
Suddi lives in the community of the Essenes at Qumran. At first, he describes his occupation as studying the laws of the Torah (the Jewish religious book) and Hebrew law, but later he teaches. The Essenes adhere strictly to the "law" (the laws of Moses) and the Torah.
The community obtains its water from two fountains. They have a complex water system within the community including two baths. They have two types of lights, one containing oil, which is lit, but also lights with no flame. These apparently contain dry cell batteries and work by means of a sort of electricity!
The Essenes are an advanced and liberal community. For instance, the members of the community are not obliged to stay there but can leave if so desired. They do not believe in blood sacrifices, and women are regarded as being on a par with men and entitled to the same education. The Essenes compile astrological charts to determine, for instance, whether persons are suitable for each other with regard to matrimony. They do not condone slavery, but some choose to do menial work for a time as an act of penance.
The community houses a library comprising a vast collection of scrolls in numerous languages. The library also contains a model of the solar system (orrery) that moves constantly. This includes ten planets, though the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) have not been discovered in the time of the Essenes (though apparently they have been!). These include one past Pluto which Suddi terms Juna, that is apparently not known to us as yet. Juna is explained to have a very erratic orbit in that it swings in and out and "does a kind of a loop around Pluto". The model's method of operation is not explained precisely, but Dolores thinks it might be a perpetual motion machine operated by centrifugal force. It is explained that the model was made by the Kaloo, members of a dying race from whom the Essenes are descended. They came from the West, settled in Egypt and then travelled towards Israel. The Kaloo were a wandering race, this being part of their destiny. Their knowledge included the fact that somewhere in the near future (Saddi's near future) there will come a Messiah.
The library also containes a great crystal in pyramid form. Suddi terms it "an energy increaser". It is about two foot square and of changing colours. Only one person in the community, the Master, is able to approach this crystal. A wall has been built around it for people's protection. Energy iss imparted by the students to the Master, Mechelava, and then into the crystal, and this energy can then be directed or focused on whatever it iss to be used upon. The knowledge of how to handle this crystal will be passed on only to one deemed responsible enough have this knowledge.
Even at the tender age of twelve, when the first interview or interviews with Suddi are made, he has an amazing knowledge and understanding. He informs Dolores that the Essenes are not a religious group, which would be inhibiting, but their function is to protect knowledge and keep it alive.
Suddi, whose native language is Aramaic, when older, tells Dolores of the 12 commandments. The two unknown to her (and us) are "Thou shalt not follow the ways of the path of Baal" and "Thou shalt do only unto others as they would do unto you" (Though I think Dolores here has made an error and it correctly should read "Thou shalt do only unto others as you would have them do unto you".)
A chapter describes Suddi's knowledge of meditation and the chakras, and another particularly interesting section of the book tells of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. These towns, or villages, were located close to the "Sea of Death" (the Dead Sea). Suddi states that radiation caused the explosion that led to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Pockets of pitch and tar were struck by lightning. When the explosion occurred, a large amount of salt would have been thrown into the air, thus accounting for Lot's wife "turning into a pillar of salt".
Also we are provided with new information about Daniel, David, Adam and Eve, Ruth and Joseph of "coat of many colours" fame. But it turns out that phrase was due to an incorrect translation. It was not a coat of many colours that Joseph was given but a coat with sleeves. (I've just seen on the net, on Wikipedia, that others now confirm that this was in fact a mistranslation, and the word meant a coat with sleeves as stated by Suddi,)
Much other new and fascinating information is presented to us by the knowledgeable Suddi.
But perhaps the most valuable section of the book is that on the life of Jesus, We are told about the Star of Bethlehem, whose appearance is witnessed by Suddi. It turns out that Suddi's two students, whom he taught for about five years from when they were about eight years old, were Benjoseph and Benzacharias, i.e. "son of Joseph" and "son of Zacharias", respectively, and thus none other than Jesus and his cousin John. They have also other teachers at Qumran and learn "mathematics, the study of the stars, the study of the prophecies, the mysteries".
This is a fascinating and extremely informative section, and includes a chapter on the preparation for crucifixion and one on the crucifixion and resurrection. Suddi witnesses the crucifixion from the after-death state and describes it to Dolores.
All Dolores' books are exciting and vastly informative. This one is one of her best, and I urge you to read it. I would award it ten stars if I could.
Another amazing Dolores Cannon book. A completely fresh look at Jesus’ life, early influences, and a “first hand” account of the crucifixion and resurrection. This fresh look at Biblical history is informed by “interviews” with one of Jesus’ early teachers. From this account one concludes that many of Jesus’ teachings were, in fact, taken from the teachings of the Essenes who predated his life by hundreds of years. This alternative view of history, also severely challenges Christian dogma. Just a few of the high points. Reincarnation is real. Jesus was an advanced and enlightened soul (not a god) who incarnated as an ordinary human to SHOW THE WAY. He studied all the ancient knowledge of Earth at during his first 30 years to prepare for his ministry. He had learned advanced meditation techniques in India which taught him to control pain, to channel energy for healing, and even taught him to how to manifest physical matter as is practiced by Indian Gurus today. He controlled his pain while on the cross and voluntarily left his body so as to not suffer unnecessarily on the cross. From the Astral he disintegrated his Earthly body in a fashion similar to the Tibetan monks turning into their corpse into a rainbow body, and his resurrection was his return as a light being (appearance w/o physical body). The lesson was supposed to be for us to use him as a role model, ACT like him, not worship him. He said he was the son of God, as we all are. He did not die for our sins, which makes no sense, he showed us as a mortal human how to lead a virtuous life and NOT amass negative Karma. He showed the way to ascension where endless reincarnation is no longer necessary so rather than continuing our morally deprived accumulation of bad Karma from hurting our fellow man and thus incurring the obligation to live another life to make up for our bad deeds in the last one. It is not God who punishes us, he does not punish his children, it is us, while in the Astral realize the errors of our previous life and choose to return again and again to repair (burn off) our negative Karma. His resurrection was a demonstration of the immortality of the soul. Of how much greater a being we all are.

Loved this book. Very interesting and a different perspective from a historical point of view but of course there is no way to prove or disprove things.
Fascinating non fiction account of a past life regression by someone who shared the early life of Jesus and the training he recieved in the community of Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scrolls and home of the Essene Brotherhood. His teaching included healing, colour therapy, crystals and more, an illuminating window into Jesus's knowledge of what we now call 'New Age' stuff, and it answers questions not covered by the present version of the Bible. If I were to leave ONE book for my family to read in the future, it would be this one !
The notion in its entirety of exploring the souls personal history through regression utterly captivated me. Regression techniques provide us with the remarkable opportunity to converse with those whom are experiencing history as it is occurring. I found the following excerpt from one particular session totally flabbergasting: (Suddi, an Essene; conversing with Dolores) "It makes me curious. You are here, yet you are not here. I think you are not from....now. It is....you are here in spirit, but not in body." Like Dolores, I too believe that through phenomenal means she had somehow projected backwards through time and was able to communicate with this astute and enlightened man.
I couldn't help but feel slightly dejected to learn that after the Yeshua material came to light that Katie began to feel afflictive. Seemingly things became especially awkward when Suddi began to divulge matters that were controversial and contradictory to what is contained within the Bible. It was suggested that such information may have conflicted with her old religious background. Personally, I am inclined to agree. I truly do empathise with those whom find information such as this highly emotive. For me Katies anxiety and resistance only validates the sheer indoctrination of some individuals within our society. In her case maybe avoidance proved much easier than that of acceptance, Abba only knows!
Dolores also wrote of the Dead Sea Scrolls that were discovered during the early 1950's. It is said that they contain an early version of our Bible and that what they had begun to decipher was too much for the conventional church to accept. I quote: "I wondered why, after all the glowing reports of the 'greatest discovery in the history of mankind', there were no later books written about further translations of the scrolls. It was as if a door had been opened and then suddenly slammed shut." There were at least 400 documents that had been pieced together and yet only 4 or 5 have ever been released. Why? Because in my opinion they held the truth, 'The Way' and they had to be made to disappear in order to successfully continue to oppress and manipulate mankind. I believe that the scrolls that were eventually published were hand picked in order to collaborate with our modern day Bible. Would that not be classed as a form of domination? It is our God given right to have access to this information. Wouldn't you agree? What on earth has been omitted/deleted or quite possibly warped over the centuries?
Suddi also informed Dolores that Yeshua in fact studied with various wise teachers from around the globe. This is how he learnt the mysteries of ancient teaching i.e. Miracle making. I have always believed that Yeshua was a highly evolved and enlightened being and this book only served to fortify my intuitions.

Wonderful! I really like the author's style of writing: concise, fluid, clear, and organized. The information presented could of course, be quite controversial, but it is presented in a very matter-of-fact, detached format, which seemed very unbiased and I am grateful for that.
Although just a glimpse of the portrait of Jesus is seen through the eyes of his teacher, obtained unblemished through time via the subconscious of a hypnotized subject, it provides the most amazing and intimate account of who this exalted and elevated soul really was.
I'm truly grateful for having read this book and having been exposed to having seen this side of Jesus who truly was a Shining Soul, after experiencing the poignant tales involving Jesus and his interactions with those around him.
It can without doubt be explained, how a myriad of Christian religions were built around this man, who was truly much more than we as humans can not really understand, since we do not seem to comprehend even the simple concept Jesus came to teach, which was: "Love one another"; and who also came to teach us "The Way"; and that "God is within us All.
Apologize to all the Dolores Cannon fans, but I didn't like this book. This was my first Dolores Cannon book, I came across the author while indulging in my interest in metaphysics.
I guess I expected more from this book, like some key to unlocking the mysteries of the universe. Instead, it was a fairly well written account of a hypnotized subject describing the dreary daily life at the time of Christ. I can't say that learning how Essenes were innovators in building toilet facilities, wore the same clothes and sandals really added to my understanding of the universe or even helped provide me with interesting conversation at cocktail parties.
I read this book in two days! It's one of those that is so hard to put down! Its fascinating from beginning to end. I've always felt there were missing pieces to Jesus' story and this book makes so much sense.. Delores Cannon is truly remarkable in the way she wrote this incredible
The way she told the stories from her subject who conducted past-life regression is unreliable. Some of her writings might be true, but some of them are like fantasy. After reading this book, I stopped following this author. This person cannot be trusted.
This book has fascinating information about the Essenes and the Dead Sea Scrolls. She also gives the background of Jesus’ uncle, who was mentioned only briefly in the Bible. Y
It’s marvellous to read about the life of the Essenes, and through a regression session, makes it even more wonderful to read and experience what the mind is capable off. That we can learn and do the same things as Jesus did. But the knowledge to learn about these things is missing still. If anyone knows where to find the secrets of the ancient knowledge of the Essenes, I would be grateful to learn.
For anyone who enjoys history and likes to think deeply, this book is a fun read because it pulls from and addresses so many different areas, from spirituality to history to reincarnation. While covering much new stuff about the life of Jesus, I learned a ton and I grew up Christian and went to Christian schools my whole life until college
Fascinating book. I have no issue with the information given. However, some of the repetitive questioning has me give it a 4 instead of 5. Maybe that’s not fair but today that’s how I feel.
The story of the Essenes and partially that of Jesus's life as told by someone who was actually there at the time.
It has some interesting information, like the Essenes were somewhat descendant from the Atlanteans, they wore white robes and had headbands to distinguish their status. They were keepers of knowledge from all over the world, and had several locations.
Jesus was a calm person who had compassion for everyone, he liked to explain spiritual concepts by making analogies to simple everyday objects, he also performed daily miracles aided by the belief of his followers.
There were some differences between the story in this book and that which the church has put into the bible. Jesus much as the Essenes felt that women were fully capable of learning and teaching all the things he taught.
I think the most unique thing about Jesus was his circumstances which were altogether different from those of spiritual leaders that came before such as the Buddha. During the Buddha's time people were pretty receptive and open to compassion for all beings. However with Jesus, the people in Israel were very violent and aggressive, and didn't want to hear about love. The Zealots wanted to fight for the messiah, but yeah he was just doing the same old thing of spreading compassion to all beings so that didn't work.
Anyways, good read for anyone interested in the original life of Jesus and the circumstances he grew up in.
I am fascinated by the life of Jesus Christ so this book was a page-turner for me. I had read about the Essenes and how they lived, so the prospect of Jesus living and learning from these people was of great interest. They were a people of peace and knowledge passed on generation after generation, who patiently waited for the prophecies to be fulfilled and in this story the Messiah was born.
The description of the Star of Bethlehem as witnessed by the Essene people was a sight unknown to mankind, with four stars merging together forming a tail that pointed straight down to the birth of the Messiah. The description of Jesus as a child with red gold hair and eyes sometimes the color of green, sometimes the color of blue, always changing was beautiful; not what I expected.
This account of the Essene community and Jesus was based on information provided by a woman who was regressed by hypnosis to a past life. My faith as a Roman Catholic teaches us we live one life only here on earth. Despite this incongruency with my beliefs I found this book interesting enough to take what I liked and leave the rest.
As someone who has struggled with my religious upbringing, and never feeling like it felt “right” to me, this book was life changing. I’ve always felt a certain way about religion and felt that it was something to be feared, and felt uneasy with all of the judgement and unkindness and fear inducing doctrine that comes with being involved in organised religion. This book has confirmed for me, everything I felt deep inside and more, about Jesus and God and my relationship to my own spirituality. I am truly grateful to have this knowledge and confirmation. I feel truly enlightened after reading this book! Very grateful for all involved in creating it. I feel closer to Jesus and God than I ever have before. I’m looking forward to reading more of Dolores’ work.
Very interesting read. Engrossing tale of an ancient mystery school teaching and the conceived impact on history of mankind. Whether you read as a work of fiction or believe every word is irrelevant. It's a great fun story that is mind expanding as well as intriguing. The narrator comes across as a little immature at times but this is probably more to do with the maternal personality that can at times be comforting and others be a little condescending. Otherwise an excellent fun page turner. The Audiobook was great.
This is the first book of Dolores that I've read and picked it up after myself having an QHHT session. After experiencing it and listening via youtube to other peoples experiences I have no doubt in my mind that this book is a truer version of the life of Jesus and helped me to gain a better understanding on his purpose. I am not religious but was raised Christian so wanted to see where Jesus fits within my now spiritual beliefs. I would recommend the book to anybody looking to bridge that same gap between Jesus life purpose and spirituality
This book will surprise you with its rich information. Although the format is not what I am accustom like in the author's book Conversation with Nostradamus volumes. This book will take you on a journey through the time period they lived and often enough the knowledge that was lost will open your eyes and your mind to what else is possible out there but don't take my word for it. Read it yourself, it will change the way you see the world and what you thought to be true will be challenged.
This fascinating book takes you into the history of the Essene community, beliefs, and way of life through the eyes of Suddi. Delores Cannon does an amazing job paralleling historical references and backing up her info with facts throughout. Section two picks up with focusing on the life of Jesus, and I couldn’t put it down! This is definitely a read for any spiritual seeker; you won’t be disappointed.
True meaning of Christianity is about to come forward among most of the human population interested in the facts and those who are open to receive history as TRUTH and fact. My choice to see and reveal to oneself ones own true words of the LAW OF ONENESS taught by Masters of wisdom as such the Buddha, Christ, Mohammed and Jesus speaking in the knowledge of The Christ. Maitreya.
A must read if you consider yourself an open mind...
This book is beautiful... I never in my wildest dreams thought I would read a book about Jesus. Religion was never of interest to me however, this is a book that should be read even or especially if religion is not part of your life. It opens doors that were never opened and shows you secrets that have been there all along.
It was definitely an interesting read. It was pretty boring and slow in the beginning but once it started referencing Jesus it became more interesting.
