This book took me no time at all to read. This book was different and very unique! Loved it that when I first started to read it that I did not want to stop! Perdition is such an amazing character, and I love that it is the title of the book also. How she and her brother are meant to serve in the garden of Eden! So interesting all throughout the book for sure! It was well-formatted and easy to read. I do not want to say much because I do not want to spoil it! I cannot wait to read the following book from this author! Good job!
Perdition: Book one The Devil Wore a Brown Suit series is a fantasy thriller crafted between the worlds above and below. Perdition and Damnation, the twin children of Venus and Lucifer are destined to serve the garden of Eden. But their parents wasn't ready to give up their children to a life with no free will. Lucifer fled to the Underworld with the twins. Venus was trapped in the Garden after losing the fight with mighty Gabriel. Everyone in the underworld believed that Venus was dead. After many years, Damnation came to know that his mother is alive. He escaped the Underworld leaving behind his sister, perdition in the void. Perdition eventually got out of her personal hell but came to know that she is now in the topside. She has no memory of how she got out. She is approached by some unholy descendants. But soon she came to know that a war is imminent. What will be her destiny? Does she able to save the world?
The story is all about the transformation of Perdition. She was unaware of her capabilities. When she was tossed to the topside without any aid, she started to uncover her unique abilities. She was clueless in the beginning. But by the end of this book, we can witness a powerful celestial being, with mighty powers and determination. Her life is not bound to the darkness of the underworld. She belongs to the topside. This is her journey to self-discovery.
The story is fast-paced, leaving little space for any emotional attachments. New characters and situations are introduced in every chapter, which drastically changes the course of the entire story. Overall, this was a unique fantasy thriller read.
Perdition: Book One The Devil Wore A Brown Suit is an amazingly unique work of literary art. The Author did such an excellent job of laying out the beginning of a series that the reader will be anxiously waiting for the next installment to become available. This book is the genisis of the series as well as the background and build up of Perdition. Perdition and her brother are the children of Lucifer and Venus. They are born with an obligation to oversee Eden. However, their parents have no intention of allowing that to happen. The siblings are hidden in the underworld but lead completely different existences in that world, all the while believing their mother had parished. When a priest finds his way into the underworld, he sets into motion events that change everything. Perdition's brother escapes the underworld, leaving Perdition in a hell of of her own and seeks out his mother on the topside. Perdition eventually escapes and the action and thrills of this story continues. The characters in this story are fantastical, magical, and mesmerizing. The story is action-packed. The reader is drawn in to a world unlike any described before and the story unfolds in a way that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat waiting to see what will happen next. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this exciting saga. Highly recommended.
Wow! What a completely different and inventive book. I love the imagination of this author. Perdition is a lovely character, well developed, and carries the story all the way to the end. Even though she is not completely human, the trials and tribulations she has to go through are very relatable. Hmmm…what will book two bring?
A completely different book. The author has great imagination and keeps the plot of the story going. Perdition is a lovely, well developed character, and I found myself wondering if she was going to survive. A great build up for Book 2, can't wait.
The author told a nice story about twins emerging from the void and adapting to another universe. The ending was a good lead in to the next book in the series. It sometimes took me time to figure out who was speaking in the dialogue.
