“Jeremy Wyatt is the biggest playboy you’ll ever meet. He’s a great attorney and a decent friend, but he’s an ass to women. He’s all about the conquest, and then he loses interest. You’re too good for a guy like him. And I don’t want to have to break his arms for messing with you. You’re young, Lena. And a little naive. A man like Jeremy would eat you up and spit you out.”

My big brother’s words should have been enough of a warning.
He knows his business partner very well.
But Jeremy is the most gorgeous specimen of masculinity I’ve ever encountered.
You have to be dead or unconscious not to feel a twinge in your lady bits at the sight of him...
Full lips, dazzling blue eyes, and broad, muscular shoulders.
Plus, he’s witty, intelligent and charming. And more importantly, we simply clicked.
At least that’s what I thought – until my brother’s warning turned out to be spot on.
And my heart was shattered into a thousand pieces.

Since then, I’ve set up a new rule for my life:
I will never be taken in by a pretty face and smooth words again.
From now on, I officially hate Jeremy Wyatt.
Which is kind of complicated, because he turns out be my new boss.
And it doesn’t take long until the butterflies are back again.
I want to forget all about him and move on.
But now I have to handle Jeremy daily without gouging his eyes out.
Sometimes he asks me to stay in his office for overtime.
That’s when I break my new rule. Again. And again.
A few weeks later, morning sickness tells me that the unthinkable has happened.

Is now a good time to tell Jeremy and my brother that I’m carrying a secret surprise?

So, no.
The heroine is loathsome from the moment she opens her gob. Christ, are immature woman-children devoid of class or morals what pass for relatable females these days? If so, we're in trouble. The thought makes me shudder.

Marlena - or call-her-Lena-because-she-HATES-her-name - is disrespectful, full of herself, and acts, thinks and dresses like a tart. Oh yes, and let's not forget that at the worldly age of 22, she knows how to hold her liquor and can actually drink grown men under the table and is 'known for her ability' to spot male bullshit.
Please 🤣 🙄. If she were any further up her own arse she'd be able to look at the world by opening her mouth.

Apparently, she's also a genius and goddess in Spanx.
K. Whatever.

I found her repellant and tedious and a little skim ahead revealed she's no genius and is actually also stupid as fuck because, OOPS! She gets pregnant by the man whore she 'supposedly' hates!
Goodness, what a surprise! I don't think I've EVER seen that in a romance novel before! 😑

If clichéd MC's and done-to-death tropes are the best this writer can do, she needs to find another hobby. This book is rubbish.

Overall I liked this book. Lena graduates college and now works at her brother's firm. The problem is so does Jeremy. He is known as a player and yet Lena is still attracted to him. They begin as just a fun thing but by the end it turns into more. My only problem is that Lena was such a pain at times. She had already made up her mind about Jeremy and wouldn't drop his past.

Say You Love Me is the 2nd book in the Southport Love Stories series, each book features a different couple and each book can be read as a stand alone issue. This is a contemporary romance with a enemies to lovers/office romance with a surprise baby trope. The book has well developed characters, a captivating plot, some drama, lots of heat and a HEA.

Jeremy Wyatt and Marlena Ducate are lawyers. Jeremy started the law firm with Lena's brother and another friend and the 3 hired Lena as a junior partner straight out of college and after passing her bar exam.
Jeremy and Lena met and hit it off but her brother warned Jeremy away and so she found him in a much to comprising position afterwards with another woman. Lena promised herself that she would never fall for his pretty face and lies again. The last couple of years they danced around each other while drawing blood with their insults but working closely together has caused them to put down their daggers and try to keep their clothes on at the same time. They try to keep it only sex but feelings start to happen and then Lena ends up pregnant.
Can they both stop pushing each other away long enough to decide if the train they are on will wreck or will they jump off at the chance to find the love they deserve?

I love Sarah as a author and she is fast becoming a go to read for me Her characters always draw you in and even though she tends to write a longer book than many these days they never drag as you are drawn into the world she writes She has caused me to have many an early morning readathon and this one was no exception as I didn't want to put it down

Jeremy Wyatt is the business partent of Lena's older brother and he warns her not to get involved as Jeremy is definitely a love and leave them kind of guy in fact that is all he does. She meets him at a dinner that her brother had and yes he took her and left her shattered when she finds him with another woman at least she hadn't let it go to far But she learnt from her mistake and has no intention of ever having anything to do with Jeremy again that is until he ends up been her new boss after she becomes an attorney at her brothers firm. Soon the heat is simmering between them again can they have a future this time or is he still up to his old ways and what will her brother have to say about them as a couple You will have to read to see

Marlena and Jeremy have an interesting relationship. When they first meet there is an instant attraction. Marlena ends up heartbroken and realizes that all the stories about Jeremy and his playboy status are true. Things heat up between the two when Marlena ends up working for her brother and Jeremy. Jeremy eventually realizes that he is looking for a relationship but by then it maybe too late to convince Marlena that he’s changed his ways. Looking forward to the next instalment and wondering who’s story is next!

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

These two were not particularly likeable but as the romance unfolded I found myself in some sympathy with the H and finding the h getting on my nerves something chronic. At least he was trying to change, against the weight of expecations from all around him, where as she was just being contrary with her push pull. I usually don't have much time for doucebags but even I was thinking 'give the guy a break'.

Sarah Brooks has done it again! "Say you Love Me" introduces us to two highly intelligent and independent attorneys who both struggle with being honest with their feelings and relinquishing control. Jeremey and Lena's first meeting was an explosion on chemistry and attraction, however the sexual chemistry was quickly extinguished because Jeremey's business partner also happens to be Lena's brother. However, do not be discouraged, this is not your typical "enemies to lovers" or "forbidden romance".

Lena is a care free and independent young woman headed to law school while Jeremy is an established lawyer, just opening his own successful practice with family issues that prevents him from having any emotional attachments. While it is clear they are both in different stages of their lives, their attraction is further complicated by the warnings of Lena's brother (Jeremy's business partner) because of Jeremy's past.

I initially didn't connect to Lena's or Adam's character, because I felt they were both immature - however that is where I think Sarah brooks does a good job in her books - it is realistic, As a young , intelligent and somewhat successful twenty-something individual, who doesn't have commitment issues, over drink and have a hard time admitting to your feelings from fear of being hurt?

Four years after their initial meeting, Lena and Jeremy are one again thrown together when Lena is offered at job as an associate at Adam and Jeremy's law firm. It is apparent, the chemistry is still there and although a very bad idea, they agree to a "friends with benefits" arrangement. Both of their egos are too large to allow them to get beyond their past trust issues. Even when the walls begin to come down and they seem like they can have a real relationship - another obstacle pulls them apart - I will not spoil, however I couldn't put the book down I was so entranced. I read lots of 'bad boy" turns "good" romances, however this was not the case here. It took a-lot for Jeremy to get past his badboy ways even at the end - Love did prevail, however it was a tough journey It is a HEA, although you have to follow the journey to see what it took to get there. Great read with steamy sex. Enjoy - another great job by Sarah!

Say You Love Me is the second book in the Southport Love Stories series and it has a new couple but all the characters from the first book, Say You'll Stay, are back to finish or continue their story. Adam Ducate's little sister, Marlena (Lena) is back home to study for the bar exam and help her brother out at the office. The three senior partners, Rob Jenkins, Adam Ducate and Jeremy Wyatt give her a job with the understanding that Rob and Jeremy keep their hands off Adam's sister. Quite the ironic situation, especially since it was Adam who couldn't step up to be the man he should have been for his now-fiance, Meg, in the first book. Jeremy and Lena were terribly immature and enjoyed watching the other one suffer by reason of jealousy, insecurity and the simple nastiness. How many times did Jeremy have to shove his manwhore ways into Lena's face before she broke for good! Yes, he had a tough upbringing. He didn't have any real role model in his childhood of what a man should be, since his dad bailed whenever things got rough. He and Lena shared a truly hot connection but when they weren't hot, they turned a cold shoulder and stormed out of the room. Without giving it a real title, the relationship between Lena and Jer grew, but it terrified Jeremy to no end since he had nothing to base his feelings on from his past. Is this only sex? Lena and Jeremy simply can't stop playing mind games with each other and it's tiring to see how often they push each other away and then work to pull back together again. The ultimate happy ending was very happy, but it took them so long to get there that I almost didn't care. The writing, itself, is wonderful and the characters are fully-developed with traits and behaviors of someone much younger than they. It was nice to see Jeremy find his footing and reconnect with his mother. As for the Ducates, Lena is a much more pleasing character than her obnoxious brother Adam. His despicable ex-wife Chelsea just had to make an appearance at the beginning of the story to put a damper on the excitement of Meg and Adam's impending marriage. The epilogue brings Lena and Jeremy's love story full circle and sets us up for the next couple to fall!

This is basically a recycled version of her previous book “Say You’ll Stay”. Concept is the same, just with different characters. Both FL got burned by ML at the beginning of book, both hold grudges for yrs, both are stubborn with too much pride, both insists on the relationship being sex only and kept a secret, both males are pussy whipped and will bend over backwards just to get a pc, and finally they both end up in love.

Honestly, I was really intrigued with these 2 characters after reading the first book, but damn was I disappointed. Lena turns out to be selfish, insecured, overbearing, and every damn thing you would hate in a gf/bf. She’s the one that keeps insisting it’s only sex, but constantly accusing him of being with some other girl. If he’s not glued to him, he’s planning on seeing someone else. Yeah, she’s smart and a great lawyer, but she’s borderline alcoholic and psychotic. She acts like she’s way better Jeremy, so she walks all over him. The author writing her typical male leads, makes Jeremy all pussy whipped he can’t even think anything but pleasing her. So basically you have Lena verbally and emotionally abusing him and he just takes it cause he “loves” her. Boohoo, I’m p****, so I have the right to cry, be a total bitch, but I’m totally innocent and the victim. Bitch grow the fk up. Quit playing you damn games and maybe you wouldn’t get hurt. Always wanting a man to chase your fking ass, but saying the exact opposite of what you mean. What happen to the bith of you trying, because you “supposedly” understood where he was coming from. She freaked out and had days to come to term with being pregnant (her first thought was to get rid of it), so why couldn’t he have his moment to freak out??? Always, her her her. So smart, yet so stupid. Yeahhhh, BIG NEXT. Sorry about the rant, but I seriously hated this girl by the end of the book. She put herself in all the situation she found herself in, yet she was constantly blaming Jeremy. Own up to your shit. You forgot to take the pill, you kept dumping his ass, not wanting to see him ever again....there’s only so much verbal abuse anyone can take. Too bad the author made Jeremy exactly like his mom. Now he has to feel the physical abuse from her brother too.

Jeremy and Lena Will Rock Your World ⭐🔥🔥🔥⭐

Holy Hotness!!! Jeremy and Lena have a hate to love relationship and four years of forplay that's about to explode!!Sparks fly when Adam's partner Jeremy and his sister Lena meet. It sets their relationship when Jeremy blows her off only for her catch him later with his fingers in someone else's pie. Not knowing her brother Adam warned Jeremy away from his baby sister or face severe consequences, Lena swears off the pretty face that could destroy her. Yep Jeremy is a man whore of major proportions. Four years later Lena graduates law school and is offered a job at her brothers firm along with his partners Rob and Jeremy. The snarky comments thrown between them is just hilarious and builds the firey passion they deny themselves. Forced to work together, a celebration of Lena's first court case slam dunk, lots of alcohol and their neglected needs get met. Jeremy's man whore past soon takes the air out of Lena's sails when he gets not one call from another woman but two, and let's just say that green with jealousy isn't her best color. Back and forth, hot then cold will have you think you're watching a tennis match. Jeremy had a rough childhood and it has put a sour taste in his mouth about marriage after watching how his father treated has mother. No strings sex turned real and now there is a surprise on the way. Jeremy's reaction not only crushes Lena but also gets him a shot to the jaw from Adam for breaking his trust. Now you think things can't get any worse between Jeremy and Lena.... think again. Just when he needs to go after Lena, he gets a call from yet another woman... his mother. How can Jeremy prove to Lena she the only one he wants and loves?? Can Lena put has past to rest to find their future??! MUST READ to find the answers!! Sarah J. Brooks will blow your mind way in another hit story!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my favorites collection. Looking forward to see who falls next.

And here I go again.
Let's read another book from this amazing author.
Let's dig in, hopefully without being interrupted. Lol.
Difficult, I know.
Sarah J Brooks has created this amazing series that you guys need to read asap.
Her writing is sweet and beautiful, hot and intense. You'll love it.
Say You Love Me is the second book from the Southport Love series and I advise you to read Say You'll Stay first.
Despite the fact that all books are standalone, you will love the beginning of this series.
This book explores the lives of Lena and Jeremy.
Lena is almost getting her law degree. In the meantime, she's working at her brothers' law firm.
She has a thing for Jeremy but he ended up hurting her.
What will happen next? Love or hate?
Jeremy is a player. He's a playboy that doesn't want commitment. He's Lena's brother's partner at their law office, so she's off-limits but...
Amazing. This book was amazing like I knew it would be.
Perfect plot, well written, super engaging, and emotional.
It was a rollercoaster of emotions chapter after chapter.
Each scene just stole my heart and it hurt sometimes.
There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone silly, jeez, stubborn much? But then there were others that I wanted to hold them and promise better days.
I loved it so much.
It was the type of story that I needed at the moment.
This has been an amazing series and I'll be following this author for sure.
Great book Sarah. Perfect in every way.

I’ve wanted to read Lena’s story ever since we got Adam and Megs story. Lena just got her law degree and she’s waiting to take the bar exam before she can fully become a lawyer. She’s been working as a paralegal at her brothers firm and has had an interesting relationship with the other lawyer firm partner Jeremy. The chemistry between these two is so interesting you can’t put the book down. One minute they like each other the next they can’t stand each other. Adam has warned Jeremy away from Lena multiple times but we all know the heart wants what the heart wants. His past with his family is horrible so he thinks he doesn’t deserve happiness or a family but Lena is going to show him that he does. She’s offered a job as an associate the the firm which she accepts and she has to see Jeremy daily after she’s told herself she won’t put up with him anymore cause she deserves better but who is going to say no to handsome Jeremy. They start a relationship hidden from each other and things get really interesting. Months down the road she ends up pregnant and when she tells Jeremy my heart shattered by his reaction. I’m so glad that he was able to see that he deserved her and the baby before it was too late and she moved on. I loved every moment of this book and the author Sarah is amazing! You’ll definitely going to want this book for your reading enjoyment!

Say You Love Me is a phenomenal read by Sarah J. Brooks. Jeremy Watts is my Brothers friend and business partner and comes with a warning label “Beware trouble on the horizon”. The moment I met Jeremy we hit it off conversation flowed freely and honestly he had my lady bits tingling. But when I went to grab my coat there he was kissing and feeling up another woman in the coat room well that put a blast of cold water on my lady bits quickly extinguishing the flames. Thank you very much I’m glad I saw the light before we could get any further. 3yrs later I’ve completed my Law degree and passing the Bar Exam. Now I’m work at my brother’s Law Firm and one of my new bosses is Jeremy “freaking“ Watts. Hate is a harsh word but that’s the way he makes me feel towards him. Things start to change between us and hate for him has lighten up quite a bit. I’m starting to feel my lady bits tingling again but I can’t let my brother find out. Will these two be able to navigate thru the rough road ahead and find love? Inquiring minds want to know. Phenomenal story! Characters that you can feel in your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love-hate deal as the main characters face the harsh reality.
A must read. Grab your copy today and start reading. Enjoy happy reading 📚

Taking down the office playboy

Say You Love Me is the second book in the Southport Love series. It is the story of Marlena "Lena" Ducate and Jeremy Wyatt. Lena's older brother is Adam, his and Meg's story is in Say You'll Stay, and Adam has opened a law practice with Jeremy and Robert Jenkins. When Lena and Jeremy first meet it is at the celebration party for opening the law firm. They seemed to like each other but Jeremy basically froze her out and being hurt Lena's attraction turned into hate. But now Lena has finished law school and gone to work at her brother's firm as an associate. She was not sure about accepting the job offer at first, as it would mean being around Jeremy also, but actually gets her to accept the offer. Jeremy is a man with a reputation with ladies, and it is well earned. But the original attraction between Lena and Jeremy becomes evident and as the sparks fly so does the banter. But how will they deal with this working situation? Can they become something more with Adam knowing?

I did like parts of this book but other things annoyed me. A lot of the time I wanted smack either Lena or Jeremy or both at the same time. I also found that it was too drawn out at points as somethings were rehashed a couple times which was cumbersome. But if you go with the story it is fun, witty, frivolous and entertaining.

I read an advanced copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are all my own.

This book is so good and heart wrenching at times! Adam (Lena’s older brother), Rob and Jeremy own a law firm in a small town in Pennsylvania. Lena is about to go to law school when she meets Jeremy. Her brother Adam is very over protective of Lena which I know he drives her crazy. It would drive me crazy too. Lena is super smart and seems so mature and knows what she is doing. I feel like Jeremy and Lena were instantly drawn to each other. I feel that Jeremy has shot himself in the foot because his reputation is to be with one woman and then find the next one. Of course, once you read further it becomes clearer why he is the way he is. Once Adam warns Jeremy off his sister, he treats her terrible, even when she works as a paralegal at their firm before law school. It was hard at times to watch Jeremy and Lena go at each other with words at times. I could feel that there was something that could be worthwhile in a relationship if the two weren’t so stubborn. I loved getting to know more about Jeremy during those few moments when he would let his walls down. There is so much going on that I didn’t want to put the book down so I could find out what was going to happen. I loved the book and went through so many emotions. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

if you need a lawyer then Jeremy Wyatt is the man you want. That is why he is my older brother's business partner. The reason why my brother wants Jeremy to be my mentor so I can be a partner with the firm wants I have some courtroom experience.
He is great with male relationships. But with woman, he uses & throws us out like the trash to go to his next beauty to eat, take & leave.
That is why Lena's brother warned her not to get involved with his business partner. He will hurt you.
Well does little sister listen. Nope! not possible when now that I just graduated from Law school my big brother has decided that Jeremy is the perfect person to teach me how to win cases. But that is not all he teaches me.
He teaches me how to take them & leave it out of the courtroom.
In the courtroom & ruthless business partner. I need to learn that side of the business. Stay away from the playboy & selfish side of Jeremy.
Guess what that doesn't happen & the only one that gets hurt is ME!!.
Especially when I get a surprise in the oven.

Read what happens to this couple. Does Jeremy stay a smug & arrogant ass, or does he realize that having someone in his life is worth much more than his playboy antics.
Especially when he realizes he has conceived a child with his best friend & business partner's younger sister. Who he was suppose to mentor & not touch.

Wow! I am speechless. This story blew me away. I absolutely love “enemies to lovers” romance and Ms. Brooks did not disappoint in her delivery of this book.
Marlena, “Lena” to her friends, is beautiful, loving and a near genius. Currently in law school, she works hard and has a brilliant future ahead. Then she meets him, Jermey. He’s the most beautiful man she has ever seen. He’s hot and obviously interested in her, till he’s not. This is the beginning of a future of hate, resentment and all out war.

This book was such a hit and brilliant story from the very beginning. I could not put it down. I fell absolutely in love with these characters and would love to see it continue on with more brilliant stories. I find Rob to be the most intriguing one in the end. I definitely need to find out his secrets.

Overall this book has it all. Tragic childhood, horrible antics, mistakes made and forgiveness. The love in this story will melt your heart. You might want to bring a boxing glove, because there were times I wanted to punch a character or two. But then redemption is beautiful.

If you love enemies to friends romance, then this book is perfect for you. Ms. Brooks is the queen of romance.

Lena and Jeremy meet just before she finishes law school. Sparks fly between them and they definitely have something brewing between them. Her brother interrupts them and when Lena returns to talk to Jeremy he is cold and ignores her. Then to make matters worse he ends up hooking up with another woman later that evening. Now that she's graduated law school her brother gives her an offer to join his firm. However with Jeremy a partner there too she wasn't sure if she wanted to work there. Jeremy had never felt the way Lena made him feel and he knew that after what he had done she probably wouldn't give him another chance. So all he could hope for was friendship. As they started working together all those feeling start to come back and oon they give into temptation. Lena wants to be with Jeremy but she doesn't know if she can trust him because of the past. Will Jeremy show her that he is different? What wil her brother do once he learns about them?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Marlena/Lena has always been attracted to her older brother’s best friend, Jeremy, but her brother has warned her not to get involved with himJeremy. When her brother and Wyatt open a law firm together Jeremy flirts with her but dumps her for another woman. 4 years later after Lena did an internship at their law firm, her brother offers her a job there. After working closely with Jeremy Lena realizes she is still attracted and they begin a hidden relationship because Lena’s brother has also told Jeremy to stay away from his sister. When Lena tells him she is pregnant he reacts badly and ends up leaving town to deal with family problems. Does Jeremy really care for Lena? Can they finally talk about everything that is happening to them and find a HEA?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story with Lena falling for her brother’s best friend despite her brother’s warnings. The author did a great job developing both characters, showing how big a role their respective families played in their lives. Lena’s loving family and Jeremy’s dysfunctional family life were a very important in who they are. I highly recommend this emotional story and I loved the epilogue.

I liked this book a lot more than the first one in the series and even though I usually hate the unplanned pregnancy theme, it didn’t ruin this book for me. Jeremy and Lena were a great match and I love enemies to lovers and this was done so well because I could feel the tension, heat and sexual buildup between them. I love angst.

My only issue with this book is the same thing I had an issue with in the first book in this series. I don’t want to read sex scenes between the Hero and another woman before the relationship starts with the Heroine. There are ways to convey that the Hero may be a bit of a player or horndog without me needing to read about some whore’s lips on his cock. IT’S NOT HOT! Ok rant over.

Other than that, I really liked this book and am glad I read it as I wasn’t going to. I was going to skip it and read Kyle and Whitney’s book as I’m dying to know about their relationship and history but I decided that since I’d read the first in this series, I should go in order. These are standalones but sometimes reading in order makes a series better and it did set it up the next book quite nicely and I’m glad I read it. I recommend.

Sarah has written a story that had me up late a few nights because I couldn’t out it down! Featuring
notorious playboy Jeremy Wyatt and fire cat Marlene, this story isn’t pretty. It’s one of misunderstandings, missed opportunities and secrets. When Jeremy and Lena finally decide to act on their attraction they make it clear that it’s just sex, no feelings involved. What the other doesn’t know is that each have developed real feelings but their past mistakes make it near impossible for them to move forward. When their secret is discovered it almost costs each of them more than they can ever imagine.

Determine to right his wrongs, Jeremy must first look into himself and figure out what he wants from Lena and decide if having the life he never thought he’d have is something that he can finally have.

Amazing doesn’t begin to describe this book! It’s not all roses but in the end, Jeremy and Lena figure it out together and their story is perfectly theirs.

This is my favorite book thus far that I’ve read of Sarah’s. There is so much fun banter between Jeremy and Lena. Jeremy is known for being a player. He has no reason to settle down. His childhood wasn’t the best and that’s all he really has to go off of. He doesn’t see that a healthy relationship can be very beneficial. Lena is smart and loves to hang out with her girlfriends. She’s not seeking any relationship either. But if the right guy came along, it’s something she could get on board with. When she catches the eye of Jeremy, she thinks there could be something there. However, Jeremy puts his walls up and maintains his current playboy status. Despite the warnings and continuous banter, sparks start to fly. We have some pretty intense chemistry! Walls start to fall, brick by brick and what’s only meant to be a physical relationship starts to evolve into so much more. Not only is this book good it is GREAT! I have said this before but if you are not reading this series you are sorely missing out! After reading this book my heart was torn, my soul was tattered and my body was looking for its next fix by this author. You know you are reading a really good book when it feels as if a cool breeze greets you at the end of a long run, or that moment after an encounter when your heart races and your hands shake striving for one more moment with that one that is yours and yours alone. This was one of my favorites! Say you love me is a book you will not want to walk away from. I could not put it down once I started it. Lena and Jeremy are the couple that sizzles even before the sizzling started! It is a pretty little ditty that will make you smile and may even drill into your heart before you read the last word. It was an engaging and wonderful experience. I am looking forward to more from Sarah.

This book is absolutely fantastic and I loved it! Lena and Jeremy meet each other through her brother, Adam. Jeremy is a partner of a law firm with Adam. When Jeremy takes an interest in Lena, Adam tells him to stay away. Jeremy backs off but soon finds himself drawn to her again and gets another warning from Adam. After Lena graduates from law school, they make her an offer and she accepts it. Soon, the chemistry between Lena and Jeremy is too strong to ignore and they give in. After a few months, Jeremy's ready to try for something real when trouble strikes. Lena finds out she's pregnant and he doesn't react well. A conversation with an old flame of his has Jeremy ready to rush to Lena's side to make things right, only to get a call from his mom asking Jeremy to spend Christmas with her. He finally gets a chance to talk to Lena on New Year's Eve and he is able to get her to forgive him and they start the journey to their happy ending.

Love this book! This is about Jeremy and Lena. They both meet each other at a party of her brother’s Adam who happens to be a partner with Jeremy in their law firm. Well Jeremy being the playboy he is was warned off by Adam, but instead of being nice about it and tell Lena that he wasn’t interested, he instead ignored her with made her mad. Lena becomes an attorney and is offered a job there in her brother’s firm. Of course, there is chemistry between Lena and Jeremy, but neither act on it right away, but instead become each other’s pain.

The story is funny and I’m only sorry that I didn’t read Adam’s story because he is a hoot himself with his protectiveness with his sister. Not that you need to read it to read this one, but it helps with understanding Adam and his fiancée. Okay as you know this story will have a nice ending, but I will not spoil it by letting you know how these two finally give in.

Say You Love Me by Sarah J. Brooks is an emotional, captivating, intriguing, fun and steamy filled with drama, passion and romance.a brother bestfriend romance story of Jeremy and Marlena..Jeremy is a hot playboy and a great Lawyer and a commitment phobia.Marlena is a fun, sweet, sassy and smart young Lawyer out of school.Lenas brother reminded her how Jeremy is to a woman and he doesnt want her to be one of them, because she is young, smart and she can do whatever she want for her future but how can you teach your heart, the heart choose what the hearts want, eventhough the one your heart choose is the one who hurt you again and again..The momment they met, their attraction cannot be denied,so they gave in no string attached, but as the days, weeks past their feeling towards each other grew more and they didnt tell what they really felt and now there is a baby on the way, what are they going to do? read it to find out!

This is the second book in the Southport Love Stories series and it is just one more example as to why Ms. Brooks is one of my go to authors as she brings readers Jeremy and Lena’s story. Jeremy and Adam are business partners and friends. The only warning that Adam ever issued to his partners was to stay away from his younger sister Lena. However, from the first time Jeremy laid eyes on Lena, he was captivated. Lena knew about Jeremy but he was easy to talk to and got her engines revving but that night he showed her his true colors. Fast forward a few years, and Jeremy and Lena are back together working in close proximity to each other at her brother’s law firm. Will those feelings from the past resurface or will they stay ships that pass in the night? Can a leopard change his spots, even for love? This is one storyline that gets the heart pumping and blood flowing as these two banter it out. It is one steamy, enemies to lovers tale that will keep readers glued to their seats until the end. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

Sarah J. Brooks came out swinging with this new addition to the SouthPort series. Her ability to put me in the feels on these stories is just what I need when I am looking for a lighter read.

Jeremy is your typical playboy - afraid of commitment, too many women to name, and of course a difficult childhood to explain everything. Lena is your every day girl - intelligent, hard working, and just looking to live their life. I felt the chemistry between these two and Sarah did a good job of building the characters throughout. I almost felt like I got more of a sense of Jeremy's character development than I did Lena's, which is a bit of a change from my normal reads. I did just LOVE Lena's relationships with her friends and brother though - it is exactly what every girl wants from those relationships.

The secondary characters in this story really left me wanting more. I'm so excited to hear more about them in coming books. Great read overall and I definitely recommend to those looking for a quick, light-hearted story.
