Good book

I liked this. Ok. I believe these kids were stronger than what they should’ve been at their age. The life they had to live was more different than what their peers was living. I was glad when their father went to jail and their grandmother stepped in. That really gave them a chance. I hate their mother didn’t get to fully mend things with them but they turned out well in the end.

This book wasn't exactly amazing but it was entertaining enough. I finished it in a few hours, which says something I guess. The plot itself was really good and this story could have been great BUT there were a bunch of grammatical errors, continuity issues and a few critical topics were glanced over. To put it briefly, the author rushed everything about this story. But if you don't really mind the stuff previously mentioned and you're just looking for a quick and entertaining read, this might be the book for you.

What happens was a must read!!!!

Wow is all I can say. That was terrible how he did those kids. Raymond only did what was done to him which was right. Loretta was at fault because she should have stood up but I can't judge her was a sad situation. I didn't expect the ending even had a tear. Abuse is not good in any form.

Dysfunctional family

What Happens in this House Stays in this House by Lady Lissa is a heartbreaking and emotional story. It was a good read. Lady Lissa does a good job. It’s well written and it’s phenomenal page.

Parents should teaching their kids how to be love, caring and respectful to one others. Raymond and his family are dysfunctional family. Raymond doesn’t learn how to teach his kids how to be love, faithful, caring, happiness and loyalty. Raymond has a lacking communication and commitment to his kids. Raymond is a terrible father and husband to his kids and his wife. Raymond’s parents raised him to be ungrateful, clown, selfish, evil, hate, and self-centered toward his kids.

I understand what’s Loretta going through but she is a terrible and weak woman because she allows Raymond disrespectful to her and their kids. She allows Raymond abuses and torture toward her and their kids. I don’t understand why did she stay with him who shows unconditional love, ungrateful, unproductive, unprotected and disrespectful toward her.

I’m happy that Ronnie and his siblings are strong and protect themselves from their abusive father but they are struggling with mental, physical, verbal, emotional and spiritual healing. I’m happy that they have a proper counseling with Dr. Truman and their loving granny (Grandma Ella) who shows them love, caring, adorable and happiness.

Good Read

I remember hearing too many times “what goes on in the house stays in the house.” I was of the inquisitive nature and wondered what do you mean. It was never truly explained to me but that didn’t stop me from asking or talking.

But, Lady Lissa reiterated through the lives of the Kramers and their children how much damage drilling a lesson like “what goes on in one’s house stays in the house can be.” It’s one thing not wanting everyone to know your business. Its another knowing children love to talk. But, nevertheless, it’s another thing to use this lesson to do more harm than good.

Raymond Kramer had anger issues. He was a result of his environment and a carbon copy of his mother, Liz. He was a terrible father and a rotten husband. He was ungrateful, selfish and evil. He exhibited his anger on his children just as it had been exhibited on him. He also let that wrath out on his wife. The abuse and degradation on each was horrific to say the least.

Why does Loretta stay? Why is she unable or unwillingly to pave a different path for her children? Will one of the children turn to a trusting adult? Is there anyone that can come to the rescue of the family before it’s too late? Will the cycle be broken? Will all family members make it through?

How much of the silence is and can be attributed to shame? The author illustrates that telling can release the stronghold and burden. Telling can also bring joy….the joy in knowing that support is there. Thank you to Grandma Ella and Dr. Thomas.

A Must Read

The saying "What goes on in this house. Stays in this house" has been used for decade's. It is a mantra that is meant to keep those outside of a household. Out of your business. It is also used to silence those from telling. Raymond and Loretta instilled that saying into their seven children. The oldest three Ronnie, Unique, and Pam knew what would happen if they were to tell anyone what was going on inside their household. Raymond was a monster that misconstrued abuse for discipline. Loretta stood by silently not saying or doing anything to protect her children because had she. She would have felt Raymond wrath. She was just as guilty as he was. Ronnie was tired of the abuse. When he tried to protect Unique. Raymond knew then his son had to go. Unique decided to test the waters with her parents and it didn't end well when she was caught. Pam thought at first that the so called discipline was for their own good but end up learning it wasn't. Raymond lost his mind when he realized his control was taken away from him.

Lady Lisa Does It Again

I actually had to take a couple of breaths before writing my review. Before I get into all of that I just wanna say that you, Lady Lissa does it again. I am forever grateful for running across the first book of yours that I read. You are truly talented. So continue to write and just know that you have a fan for life. Now let me to you bout this incubator. I woulda said mommy but for her to say that it was better her kids get abused than her. She doesn't deserve that title. Hell she may have not never touched them but standing by and doing nothing is the same damn thing. These people got my blood pressure up. From grandma Liz to Raymond and Loretta somebody needs to beat they ass. It ain't nothing a child can do to warrant the abuse that they had to endure. I'm just pissed that his ass was killed - I was hoping he got sent to prison. Okay I think I've calmed down now. Great Job Lady!!!!

A powerful story to read

I wish Loretta found her voice and strength to leave Raymond bold headed dusty self years ago when he beat her to death and made her loses their twins people always say why do she stay or why do he stay abuse is abuse it’s never okay to stay Loretta like many other women wanted unconditionally love and she thought she can changed Raymond for the better all he did was stay the same and just be a ungrateful self centered bastard he got what was deserved to him it’s unfortunate now his younger kids have to grow up without a mother and father it’s funnie that his mom raised him to be that way and I see why she miserable and old because she has some messed up ways that went over to Raymond well this book definitely is a good read it’s gives a powerful message and hopefully people learn from Raymond and Loretta story

WHAT A STORY

This book definitely got me emotional. Just a reminder to what is a constant in today's society. The abuse these children went through at the hands of their father was horrible. I was so angry with the mother for allowing this especially after experiencing her husband's abuse herself. I felt she should've wanted better for her children and when she finally got a reality check and got the proper relationship with her kids it was too late. I love the fact that Ronnie and Unique were strong and stood up to their dad but like their siblings, still held those emotional scars. I was happy that the children were able to get the proper counseling with the help of Dr. Truman and a loving grandmother who made sure they were taken care of. Another great one by Lady Lissa that doesn't disappoint.

This story took me back to a story I heard a long time ago where both parents believed in this type of "discipline" and saw nothing wrong with it. The home life of Ronnie and his siblings was heartbreakingly painful to endure. Under the guise of "keeping the kids inline", the parents (mostly the father) had extremely strict rules that all the kids regardless of age had to follow. If the rules were broken, then the punishment would be swift and severe. The author did an excellent job of painting a vivid picture of this home and showing readers how that simple messaging to your family that "what happens in this house stays in the house" can be detrimental to one's very survival. Yes, there was some repetition, but with such powerful messaging it didn't take me out of the story. 3.5 rolled to a 4

Emotional

I paused reading this book alot to keep my emotions in check! The mom was a piece of work. I understand what he did to her with the twins but it's really no excuse. I guess they say you won't know what you would do unless you're going through it but if i don't know anything else, no one comes before my kids. The fact that his parents treated him that was the cue to want to be different. Thank God for grandma Ella because Liz ain't nothing just like her son. She was truly those kids' saving grace. I was praying 'daddy dearest' had died because jail would have been to easy for him. Through it all, im just happy to see they all moved on and made something of themselves. Awesome read

Thanks for freedom

This book hit home for me. I was in a 13 year marriage of abuse and 3 out of 4 of my kids was abused as well. I left so many times. When I went back the last time I knew through the proper counseling when I leave again I wouldn't be returning. I was told by the counselor if I go back and allow him the abuse the kids I will be getting arrested also. I wasn't going down that road. I vowed that I would protect my kids if he touched them abusively again. I made the call and they arrested him. That was his motto also,, what happens in this house stays in this house. We divorced and I can say no one ever treated me as bad as he did. I'm now in a happy 9 year marriage. Thanks for sharing. Many needed to read this book.

This was a great read. It prove the old saying what goes on in this house stays in this house. For these kids that was the way they lived their lives. Grant you if they would have spoken up things might have been better for them. Their parents manly their father thought he was judge and jury and all that not him in the ass at the end. Unique and Ronnie were the lucky ones if you asked me. I felt sorry for the their mom she paid the ultimate price. But that dad got his just due. I’m happy all the kids are doing good now. Like they say always tell grandma what’s going on. This is a great book make sure you check it out you won’t be disappointed at all.

Wow! “What happens in this house stays in this house” that has been used for years in households. Raymond has some serious anger issues and abuses his children while his wife just stands back and watch. Raymond’s children were so afraid of him due to the way he treated them. The Kramer kids went to school, came home, completed their homework and tried to avoid getting abused by their father. The Kramer children did not have access to a phone, computer or able to have any fun. Unique decides to sneak out the house to meet up with her boyfriend. Unique was able to get away with it a few times but was caught. Raymond went to far and decided to abuse Unique in public. Awesome book.

This book was AMAZING! Started off slow but once I got to chapter 3 I was hooked. I was thrown off when I first started because each chapter is in the persecutive of a different character but it flowed well. For example Unique is the main character but when something happened with her father the next chapter was in his preceptive explaining his rational behind what happened but also what's happening next to him. Even though each chapter was a different preceptive the story still kept a good/ consistant speed. I absolutely loved this book, if you are looking for a suspenseful light read definite read this.

This is my 2nd time reading this book and OMG, this book was very traumatic and heartbreaking!!!…The pain these children endured was horrific!!!…Sadly, their father subjected their mother to the abuse and in her battered mind, it was better if it was done to the children and not her!!!…I was sooooo happy that Ronnie stood up for Unique and they were removed the house!!!…
Sadly, their mother had to lose her life at the hands of the person that battered her and the children had to take the life of the person. That battered them!!!…
Thankfully they are seeking counseling and Grandma Rlla was there for all of them!!!…

Wow!

How many times have I heard “what happens in this house, stays in this house?” This mentality can not only cause physical abuse, but mental and emotional abuse as well. Mr. Kramer was satan himself and his wife wasn’t any better because she allowed her husband to do the things that he did. Most of the time, people are a result of their environment and Mr. Kramer grew up in the same way that he was treating his kids. Thank goodness for a loving maternal grandmother and lots of counseling, the Kramer kids had a great chance of being okay. Really enjoyed this book.

Excellent Read

I guess you never realize how much of a disservice it is to say What happens in this house stays in this house is. I mean I get it there definitely has to be a level of privacy but where is the line drawn? especially in the case of Unique & Ronnie and their siblings. They’ve held such a heavy load that I was glad when it burst wide open! The mother ought to be a shame of herself! How dare you?!

Awesome book! I felt the intended audience was a bit for someone younger, but that didn’t stop me from thoroughly enjoying!

Harrowing, Heartbreaking, Sad

Fate intervened in this harrowing story in the most unfortunate of circumstances. The outcome was not that surprising, yet sad, to say the least. I get love your family, but when does the buck stop. Unique's statement of "That was why it was so important to not let anything come between you and family." That got my bubble because it was her family, mom and dad who perpetrated this evil on them. "When does forgiveness begin and when does it end."

I could not put this book down. It was great from beginning to ending. I had all kind of emotions going on while reading this. This book really makes you think about what other people go through. I'm so glad that Raymond got what he deserved in the end. If you love your children you protect them by any means necessary, Loretta had me wanting to come through the book and shake some sense into her. Lady Lissa once again you brought this book to life and make people think. Very well written.

Amazing Read As Usual

The motto, “what happens in this house, stays in this house,” is not always a good motto to have or keep. Depending on what’s going on “inside that house” because not everything is meant to be kept a secret or hidden. I love this author, as well as, all of her books I’ve read so far, she’s amazing. Go check it out, you won’t be disappointed. I don’t want to give the book away, check it out for yourself. 🙌🏽

Satisfied Reader

These kids didn't get their fair share of being kids. They were abused by someone who were supposed to protect them. Loretta was a poor excuse and she could've done so much more. Raymond got just what he deserved and i just wish it was sooner. Despite of their upbringing these kids turned tragedies into testimonies. This author surely brings out all your emotions when reading her work.

WOW!

This was an excellent read! Very relatable; I felt like I was in the shoes of some of these characters. I truly enjoyed the story line! Granted what happens to the parents was sad, but then I realized no deed goes unpunished. I couldn't put this one down, so I recommend for all to read. You never truly know what happens behind closed doors. If you see something, say something. Count your blessings while you can!

Great Read!
There's a lot of reality and truth to this book. I haven't experienced it personally but I've heard stories quite similar. I felt bad for the children but was relieved they had their grandmother Ella in their corner. I hate the father's fate ended the way it did because he should have went to prison for his crimes. I'm glad the kids turned out well in the end. I also love that this was a stand alone!

Instead of the patriarch of the family being the protector, he was the one his family needed protection from. He called abuse, discipline just as he parents taught him, as they ruled with iron fists. The 7 Kramer children weren’t allowed to do anything fun. They were to go to school, do their chores and stay in the house until time for bed. Extracurricular activities and sharing their home life was prohibited. The story was sad, but good.

Sometimes silence is not the key

This book was great but first let’s just say that saying of what happens in this house stays in this house is not for everything. Ronald was a control freak and abuser to his wife and kids. Eunique didn’t deserve tye abuse she and her siblings received. Thank God for grandma Ella who saved them all. This book was amazing and I think it’s definitely worth the lessons learned for all to read.
