Rate this book
Ready to fall in love with three good-natured, salt of the earth rodeo cowboys? This boxed set contains three full-length cowboy romances from the Rodeo Romance Series including The Christmas Cowboy, Wrestlin’ Christmas, and Capturing Christmas. Each book is filled to the brim with sweet cowboy romance, faith and family, humor, and hope all wrapped up with love and heartwarming Christmas blessings.

★ The Christmas Cowboy - Tate Morgan is as tough as they come. He can handle the wildest bronc on the rodeo circuit, but he loses the ability to think straight around the beautiful woman he keeps running into at the airport. Completely captivated by the uptight executive who makes it clear she detests cowboys, Tate will have to work a little holiday magic if he wants to win her heart.

Wrestlin’ Christmas - Sidelined with a major injury, steer wrestler Cort McGraw struggles to come to terms with the end of his career. Shanghaied by his sister and best friend, he finds himself on a run-down ranch with a worrisome, albeit gorgeous widow, and her silent, solemn son.

Capturing Christmas - Life is hectic on a good day for rodeo stock contractor Kash Kressley. Between dodging flying hooves and babying cranky bulls, he barely has time to sleep. The last thing he needs is the entanglement of a sweet romance, especially with a woman as full of fire and sass as the redheaded photographer he rescues at a rodeo.

I could not put these stories down. They were fun to read and very uplifting. What I really liked was each of the stories involved a group of people who were related or close friends. You didn’t leave any of them when you started a new story so you got to see what happened to that other couple later in their relationship.

The Christmas Cowboy
This was a very heartwarming story almost like a fairy tale with the way Kenzie and Tate developed their relationship. It was a fun story to read. The author makes sure that she highlighted the venerability of Kenzie and Tate. It showed that people are not perfect and their perceptions are not always true.

I love that Kenzie is one strong woman who usually knows the truth and how to read the world. But she has been hurt very deeply in her past and until she can come to terms with that, she will never really be happy. The question is, can she do it?

Tate is one confident and caring cowboy who goes after what he wants with determination. He never wants to depend on anyone else, he always wants to be the one who is the “hero” of the story. After meeting Kenzie, his world changes, can he come to terms with those changes is the question?

No spoilers because you will really need to read this book to find out the answers to those questions. I loved the supporting characters in the story, they bring depth to the story. With them, you learn about friendship and support. They are very important to the story, without them, the story would have only one dimension.

Wrestlin’ Christmas
I am glad that I got to know Cort before this story. Otherwise, I would just think he was a being a jerk and not a man suffering from depression and self-medicating.

This story was truly one of those stories that made you laugh and cry. Jacob is such a smart, strong and perspective child especially for only being 5 years old. You fall in love with him immediately, just like Cort did. I feel that Jacob is the true hero of the story.

Kaley is one of those women who went through so much in her life that it is a wonder that she is still able to function. As you learn more about her past, you can only admire her and want her to find her happy ever after.

You already know Cort from the story of Tate and Kenzie, but this story does give you more insight into him. And you are rooting for him to over come his devils.

I totally enjoyed that Tate and Kenzie played a big part in this story and are there for their friends. Love how this story unfolds and shows that love can conquer everything.

Capturing Christmas
Loved this story very much. It was a bit different from the preceding ones but just as good.

Celia grew up on a ranch and around rodeos and rodeo men all her life. She is one confident and self-reliant woman. She has never wanted to rely on a man for anything and in fact, she really doesn’t see one fitting into her life. Her reason for this is not from anything jaded in her past, just that she is content with her life as it is.

Kash was raised only by his father since he was 3 years old. He lives with his father and brother on their ranch and helps to run their business which supplies stock for the rodeos. He is the happiest tending to his bulls and horses. He loves his life and he never had an interest in getting involved with a woman other than a date here and there.

The fun part of the story is when these two strong minded people meet for the first time. What happens to them is filled with not only humor but with some sad and scary things. I will not give spoilers but if you are looking for a story to take you away from things and leave you with the sense that good things can happen, this is the story for you.

Admittedly, I am a huge fan of Shanna Hatfield’s sweet historical romances so when her contemporary Rodeo Romance series released starting with The Christmas Cowboy, I knew I was in for a treat.
In The Christmas Cowboy, Tate Morgan is at the top of his game as a champion bronc rider, rancher and one fine-looking cowboy who isn’t looking for romance…until romance finds him in the form of a beautiful, sassy, independent business woman, Kenzie Beckett at an airport lounge waiting to board the same plane. Though Tate and Kenzie have some obstacles to overcome, they soon find out their love is stronger than any barriers they may encounter. Like many of Ms. Hatfield’s stories, there are many wonderful secondary characters, but I especially loved Tate’s father. Wise, loving, and not afraid to speak his mind especially when he counsels Tate to propose to Kenzie, he provides a Kenzie with a father figure she’s been missing.
In book two, Wrestlin’ Christmas, steer wrestler, Cort McGraw tries to find solace from his career-ending injury at the bottom of a bottle and too many nights drinking until his parents, sister and best friend take matters into their own hands. His salvation has beautiful blue eyes, dark hair, a silent little boy, and a run-down ranch. In this romance, Ms. Hatfield gives her readers a well-written story of heartbreak, love and a healthy dose of Christmas cheer. Her sensitive, but credible treatment of Cort’s alcoholism, Kaley’s unhappy and heartbreaking childhood, and Jacob’s journey from silent, solemn little boy to an outgoing, sociable boy with a lively wit, adds true-to-life drama to the story.
While I enjoyed each book in this series, I absolutely adored Wrestlin’ Christmas! This is so much more than a love story between two broken people. It is a story of hope, love of family, and love of friends at the most wonderful time of the year!
Spoiler Alert: Have a box of tissues nearby!
Kash Kressley has his hands full as a rodeo stock contractor but he doesn’t know what trouble is until a fiery redhead photographer, Celia McGraw, crosses his path. In Capturing Christmas, Ms. Hatfield has once again given her readers a heartwarming read capturing the essence of Christmas. This romance has strong characters who have their strengths as well as their shortcoming and a plot full of twists and turns. It hooks the reader from page one and doesn’t let go, leaving you wondering if Kash and Celia will ever get together. This is fun read with many ups and down, and interesting secondary characters that will leave you laughing.
This is a great series penned by a fabulous author who takes her readers on a heartfelt journey of love, hope, heart, and laughter.

Books are a passion of mine, some are engaging, some are heartbreaking, and then some are so comforting you knew you were meant to take their journey.
The same can be said about the authors, some really satisfy, while others miss the mark.
Enter Shanna Hatfield into my library of books and I’ve found a true winner. She not only comforts, her books intrigues me, and fills my heart with satisfaction and great joy.
A Christmas Cowboy is my 7th book by her and might possibly be my favorite to date.
Tate and Kenzie have captivated my love and devotion. Their journey to find one another is how “happy ever after” stories are meant to be told.
A beautiful love story.

Shanna Hatfield’s book truly captivated me heart and soul. Heartwarming, sweet, and satisfying.
Cort and Kaley are two broken souls in need of saving. Both have weathered some life-altering circumstances.
Can these two find themselves again through each other’s eyes?
Jacob stole the show, this kind loving little boy has a heart of gold and his own issues to work through.
This book just melted my heart and proved that second chances are out there, we just have to be ready to let go of the past to see them.
I loved the HEA this story brought my heart. Truly one that resonated close to my Heart.
A perfect book for the perfect season!!!

Capturing Christmas by Shanna Hatfield is superb. My favorite so far in this amazing series. Celia and Kash wrapped me up into a romantic tornado that just kept spiraling and building, until the epic ending.
These two sweethearts engulfed all my emotions and kept me turning the pages to see what was happening next. A beautiful love story that should be a Hallmark Movie.
Ms. Hatfield has an amazing talent that warms your soul.

Sweet Romance

I've only read the first book in the collection but I now remember why I don't read a lot of books by this author. She writes well, and the plots are alright. I'm just not a fan of the boundaries she pushes. It's technically clean, but the characters constantly put themselves in the most trying situations. I'm also not a fan of the heavy emphasis on physical attraction. It's ok to hear the characters each think the other is a dream. But when it's happening in every chapter, I have to wonder what's really important to these MCs. If they had some deformity or were in some way different from the perceived norms of our current society, would they have even given love a chance? Still, if super-sweet, clean romance is your thing, and nothing I mentioned bothers you, give Shanna Hatfield's work a try.

Delightful

You have to love these Cowboy sweet romance stories. The fact that family and faith means so much to them, shows a lot of character. Don't you just wish that you could be part of their families. Ride horses, work on a ranch, and be really connected with family. And how they love their children, it makes your heart feel full of love and happiness. Get these books and enjoy clean romance stories.

Excellent Series!

I loved the first 3 books which were sold as a mini series. Sweet and wholesome romances along with Christmas proposals and weddings. Cowboys, ranches and rodeos made each book a great read and a good setting for each of the stories. I highly recommend this series and the author who wrote it!

Tedious and slow reading. I thought I was never going to finish. Liked the recipes included with each book and the few decorating tips.
First book male lead drove car to avoid driving on ice. Then, two other places the gets into truck.

Nothing objectionable as far a language or icky sex but there definitely was not much action.
