Brock “Trident” Storm is an emergency room trauma nurse, using the skills he honed during his time as a Navy SEAL, he takes care of those in the community that Poseidon’s Warriors MC claims as its own. He’s content to love ‘em and leave ‘em. That is, until he treats a woman one night, who touches a part of him, one he thought was long dead. Each time she comes in, he finds himself drawn even more toward her until that last visit that landed her in ICU. Then, he just wants to get her safe and shot of her husband. Gianna Jeffries had it all at one time – the socialite wedding, the jewels, the money, the cars. That all changed when she developed an autoimmune disease that prevented her from giving her husband an heir. Broken and battered, she finds herself under the care of an intense, slightly intimidating nurse who calls to the pieces of her that remain. With the gangs ramping up their vandalism, the PWMC is hard-pressed to keep their community safe. Will Trident be able to handle the pressures that come with being the enforcer of an MC, running one of the club’s businesses, as well as working at the hospital, while still pursuing Gianna? Will Gianna realize that there’s more to life than being a showpiece on a pedestal and rid herself of the abuse she’s endured?

Lover of words. Author of "perfectly imperfect romance". Since starting this journey in August 2016, I've published eight books, two children's books, and have been part of two different coloring books. In short, I'm fulfilling a lifelong dream and would love to have you join me!
Brock "Trident" Storm has not been able to get Gianna Jeffries out of his mind, he knows she is being abused and despite wanting to sweep her away from the man causing the trouble he knows it has to be her decision to walk away. When Gianna ends up hurt again, she finally decides she has had enough. Trident acts quickly and whisks her away to heal and protect her.
Gianna has never felt as if she has led her own life, everything she has is due to her parent orchestrating her decisions. Now she is done, she wants a life of her own and she sees that path with Trident. Can Gianna open her heart to Trident or will fear stand in her way?
This was excellent. I am loving this series, each book is better then the last. Trident peaked my interest in the first book and he did not disappoint. Gianna becomes quite an inspiration as the book progresses, she has hurdles to overcome but she is a force once she decides to change her own course. Terrific.
I love this story, Gia goes through so much and loses so much before Trident can get her away with help from her maid/best friend. These two go through alot together and the love is overwhelming
This story picks up where Poseidon's Lady left off, and jumps right back into the action! And it is non stop! This group of guys just can't catch a break, and their women are right in the thick of it! I picked this book up as soon as dropped on the 'Zon, and finished it in one sitting! (of course, I was watching for it! And eagerly waiting!)
Trident is a good man. He is loyal to his club, his brotherhood, and spends his life helping others. When he sees someone that needs his help, he jumps feet first, with no hesitation. He just can't ignore injustice, even when it could be dangerous.
Gianna hasn't had a good life. From the outside, it looks like she has everything. From her socialite upbringing to her picture perfect marriage, she should be living her best life. Wrong. Rarely do outward appearances give an accurate look at someone's life, and Gianna's is as bad as you can imagine. Until Trident gives her just a spark of hope, and a possibility of freedom.
This book was just as fabulous as the first, and everything I look for from this author. It was fast paced, dangerous, exciting, and HOT! An amazing story that has me wanting more, and wondering what these guys will get into next!
I enjoyed this far better than the first. More realistic.
After reading this book, I have one question; where can I find a Trident for myself? He’s so sweet, sexy and kind.
Gianna/Gia comes from a wealthy family. When they arrange a marriage to a man she’s never met, instead of fighting it, she agrees to marry him. Fast forward a few years and her husband is beating her regularly after she has miscarriages. Trident is a nurse who meets Gianna when she’s admitted. When she’s nearly killed by her husband, her maid Chelsea begs Trident to help Gia escape. Trident takes her to the hut that is up a mountain and helps her to recover. He really wants her but she’s married and he won’t cross that line. Gia won’t either so until she’s divorced or widowed they don’t even kiss. I have to say that I loved that they didn’t just jump into bed with each other. They became friends before they have sex.
There are a few issues with the book. It still doesn’t feel like an Mc, usually the old ladies call their men by their real name, not their road name, how is Trident the enforcer for the club when he works as a nurse for really long shifts? He’s never at the club! What happened to club bunnies? Sex scenes aren’t brilliant, sorry but they’re boring. The danger never comes to anything, and it’s a massive anticlimax!
I did enjoy it, but it’s definitely not my favourite Mc book.
Trident’s Queen is the second book in Darlene Tallman’s Poseidon’s Warrior series. This series focuses on the romantic journey of members of a SEAL team after their military service. Trident is an emergency room trauma nurse and a member of Poseidon’s Warriors MC. Through his nursing he meets Gianna Jefferies an abused socialite. She awakens his protective and possessive streaks. He falls for her immediately but will not comprise her as she is married. However, he takes her away and helps her recover. Can he help her get away from her abusive husband? Will she be able to have another relationship? You must read this book to find out what occurs.
Once again, Ms. Tallman does a remarkable job in portraying an inner view of life within a motorcycle club. It harsh at times and soft at others. She highlights the strong bonds of loyalty of a motorcycle club whether it is forged by blood or brother/sisterhood. I enjoyed the way Ms. Tallman moves her plot through an array of emotions. Readers witness familial love, romantic love, cruelty, betrayal, and justice. Her skill in crafting dialog, both conversational and internal, is outstanding. Her descriptive scenes are vivid and enthralling the reader’s attention. This is a captivating MC romantic read. Outstanding job, Ms. Tallman!
We met Gianna & Trident in book 1 & I was looking forward to their story. Trident & the club rescue her from an abusive situation, but the fact that she's married means no hanky panky until her divorce is final.
I really liked how everything was paced in this story. Especially how the marriage vows were respected by both Gia & Trident - even tho her husband was the abuser and a cheat. They didn't try to make excuses (internally or externally) in order to give in to their attraction. Trident helped her heal & they developed a great friendship while she got going on the divorce.
We still get to know them & see more of the club & how all the relationships build, and once the issue of her marriage is resolved, and Gia & Trident are allowed to give in to their feelings for each other, the steam factor ratchets up! I like that sex isn't the main focus of the story, but it's still there in a healthy relationship kind of way.
Basically, I love this club & author & story & am looking forward to the next one!!
A sweet romantic, easy read. The formula is exactly the same as Poseidon, the first book in the series; even to the dialogue. The threat is, an abusive husband and Trident, who works as a trauma nurse, falls for the abused wife. Even though it is mentioned throughout the book, the husband hardly appears in it.
Again, this is similar to the author's first book. This must be her style. I would like to think it changes somewhat in her next book as I am not a great fan of writing using a formula. I did become irritated at the constant repetition of sweet words and speeches, especially by Trident. I believe these stories are too sweet for my taste and beyond believable.
We saw a hint of what happened in this book, in the last one. I was glad that Trident was looking out for Gia, she needed someone. Also glad that she took a chance on the helping hand that Trident was reaching out to her. It was interesting to see these 2 get to know each other as Gia healed, the attraction was there, it was nice that neither of them did anything about it until Gia was free. Seeing Gia come into her own around the other women of the club was great! I also loved and hated that she and Chelsea could finally talk about how they were BFF's. Loved it, because it was a great friendship, hated it because they had to hid it for so long. The ending to this one was great! The bad guy got his and our couple are able to live free and happy.
I loved Trident a Gianna's story so much! Trident. Strong but gentle. Gianna. Broken, but loving. I was so happy when Trident got her to that cabin, I could finally take a breath. I also loved that even though Trident had feelings for Gianna, he wouldn't go there till she was no longer married. So respectful. It was so great watching Gianns grow and come into her own with Trident and all of the MC help7and embracing her. I loved that she became her own little feisty self. This book had everything!! If you love MC and romance. I reccomend this book. You will love it!
I have wanted Trident’s story ever since he was introduced in Poseidon’s Lady, and Darlene Tallman didn’t disappoint. I liked how Trident took care of Gianna and helped her get away from her abusive husband.I loved how honorable Trident was, because even though there was a lot of chemistry between him and Gianna, he didn’t act on it till she was no longer married.I was so pleased that the author showed how Gianna survived her abuse and grew into her own woman.I loved that there were some twists and turns in the story. I felt that the story flowed well and it kept me turning the pages. I’m now looking forward to Loki’s Angel, the next book in the series
Dear Readers Absolutely love this book .. CLEAN ROMANCE .. with bumps & bruises.. but Tender Love & Protectiveness to make up for it . A very smooth flow .. fast heartwarming read .. yet it deals with the harsh reality some women find themselves in .
Just READ IT .. ~Bibliophile Susan #booksugargetkissed 📚 💋
Note ~ For the Author I love ❤️
I will read books you write SOLO .. I will not read books you co write with others .I do not like the idea of not knowing who wrote what part of the book . It takes away from the book in me eyes .
Trident's Queen OMG it was so dang good. There are not enough words to say how good this book is. The characters Trident and Gia you just feel like you know them and is right there with them. This story is sad, happy, heart wrenching, and sexy. She is abused by her husband, Trident is her nurse who teaches her and takes care of her helping her to get away from the husband. Trident helps her become the woman she wants to be. This is an amazing story from start to the end. But this book, set back, and lose yourself for hours.
Trident has seen Gianna one too many times at the ER he works at. He's been her nurse and he knows she being physically abused. He ends up saving her right after a brutal attack by her husband. Trident vows to help her escape. He's taken with her since he first set eyes on her. Giana also finds Trident to be the type of man she's dreamed of. Now things have change in her life so she can move forward.
I loved Trident. He was so romantic and loving. Gianna grew throughout the story too. I can't wait for Loki's story!
I'm so loving this series, book two and I'm hooked strong alpha men and the women who captures their heart. Being a lover of MC stories and have read a plenty and this series continues to keep you wanting more, great characters both main and supporting the plot also grabs a hold and want let go until the very end. Again this series is great so please don't make us wait to long for the next story in the lives of these Bad Boys of the Poseidon's Warriors MC !!!!!!
I don't usually enjoy reading MC stories, but I really like the way these stories are written. Gianna suffered quite a bit from the hands of her abusive husband, but I was happy to see that he eventually got what he deserved. Trident is not only a nurse that works in his local hospital, but also a very kind and loving soul. I was glad that he took Gia to the private cabin to let her heal, but that they found the kind of love they both deserve. Awesome story and looking forward to the next one.
This 2nd novel in the Poseidon Warriors MC was a heartwarming one. To see such a rough and tough man embrace being a nurse in an ER and doing something when he sees someone he knows is being abused was wonderful. It was terrible what the heroine went through for five years. The abuse and the shame her husband made her feel because she couldn't carry a child. I'm waiting with breathless anticipation of Loki's Angel. I have the feeling it'll be even better. This one did. And both of them have an innate honor they didn't break.
Book is extremely and very hard to read due to what happens. The person's that's supposed to love you shouldn't be hurting you, she did what was asked of her but after all that happened she met the one person that has her heart beating, that make her feel like a teenager with her first crush. He showed her what it's like to be loved, she may have been bruised and broken but with him by her side she can take on the world on her own, great read author Darlene Tallman.
This author did a great job of writting this story about Gianna and the abuse she has gone through with her husband. It's so true of what some women go through these days. It's hard finding help for women in these situations, more so back in the day. Trident (Brock) being former military and a trauma nurse in the er, that's where his first encounter of her and the other times she came in. The last time was the final time he was going to stand for it. His brotherhood, prior military) make their mission to protect the innocent. Sad story but glad for the ending. HEA.
I thought that I liked the first book in the series (Posidan) and that it couldn't get any better, however, I was wrong! This book is even better. I just loved these main characters. The fortitude and loyalty, the caring of others and the love they give so freely regardless of the trauma in their past.
It is a really good read, I think it could be read as a stand aline but to get the full effect of the plots and the characters, reading in order would be best.
Ma’am, you’ve gone and done it again. Had me fist pumping the air, blubbering like a fool and smiling a whole lot. This story was full of everything from love since the beginning when Trident first sees Gia hurt to the end when he marries the love of his life and hers too because he proves over and over again just what and how he feels about her. Your stories keep getting better and better. I loved Poseidon and Lilli’s story but I loved this one a touch more. Thank you again. Onward.
What a great book, I always love novels and authors who manage to tackle sensitive issues with compassion and flair and this book is no exception. This story picks up where Poseidon's Lady leaves off with Trident determined to save Gianna from an abusive negligent spouse. What follows is a lesson in loyalty, compassion, friendship and honour as well as a very slow burn love. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and look forward to the next installment.
This was a great follow up story to 'Poseidon's Lady'. Trident was a great hero to the book and just the right amount of male alpha to help Gianna heal. Gianna was an amazing heroine with her inner strength and never letting her past stiffle her future. I love what the Poseidon's Warriors MC stands for and it was great revisiting all the members. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of abuse, manipulation, Domination And getting your life back and your spunk. I really enjoy the story of Trident and Gianna, I think they made an awesome couple. He was very attentive to her and I really like that. Because Gianna had going through some stuff. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
I love reading these books. The characters are so likeable and quickly become new favourites. I somehow read book 3, then book 2 and now I'm about to start book 1. Go figure! Despite reading this set of books backwards, the storylines are easy to follow and they are classed as stand alone but in order to follow events in order I would recommend reading them from 1-3. I can't wait for more from this talented author.
Trident's Queen is a good story with strong characters and an interesting storyline. Trident does it all for the MC but when the abused Gianna comes into his ER. He knows he has to save her and make her his. Book two has alot of similarities to book one but also has many differences. This story is about healing, finding your inner strength and family doesn't mean blood. Good addition to this series. Can't wait to see what happens next. Happy Reading!!
I never would have thought that a storyline would ring in the violence that a reader has gone through, but this one did. As a DMV survivor, I can feel the words from Gianna hit home. This is one of the many traits that I look for in a book. Can I put myself in the story, is something else that I look for. Bravo to the author this book receives a five star rating. I can't wait to read the other books in the series.
This is my first time reading this authors book. I find it fast pace and to the point. I fell in love with Trident's easy going persona in book 1 and looked forward to reading his story. This story had me emotionally charged because there are elements of domestic abuse which is is personal for me. This was an easy 5 stars from me.
I loved Trident and Gia’s story! It brought abuse front and center, and all the treacherous feelings that come along with it. Betrayal like that is hard to write about but Darlene did it with compassion and respect. I love a series I can connect to, and become a part of. And in the end they find their strong, and become one!
