Wow. Okay, I liked this.

I'm struggling with how to rate this final book in the series mostly because the epilogue was so damn good. Throughout the book all the big issues are finally tackled. Where are Ember and Eli's parents? Why did they steal all that money? Who was selling drugs at the school? Who beat up Eli? How will Ember save her men from Royal's gangbanger dad? While I feel like book two was mostly just sex and more sex this book had so much going on and it saved the series for me. More than once I wanted to throttle Ember for being so reckless but she did impress me because like everyone around her she learned to be smart and play dirty. This was a fun series if sometimes annoying with the teenage behavior and drama. I'm glad it all worked out in the end and while I did not see the "villain" reveal ahead of time it wasn't hard to believe or understand once all the truth was out.

This was a good finish to the series, and it was an interesting read. I love the boys, I guess I just would’ve liked to have seen them altogether a bit more? They all were a lot more separate than i expected, and for the climax moments it would’ve been nice to see them as a crew and brothers together.
I loved the epilogue and the flash forward. Ember got on my nerves a little as i didn’t completely get her character at times and how she got to where she was but she redeemed herself. There were a lot of plots going on in this but they all got wrapped out.

Well they we go it's finished. Loved the ending where it was later in life but the actual who did it and stuff seemed to come out of no where and didn't do it for me. I like the way that certain people got what they deserved in the end. Rio was taken care off as well as the teenagers thought she got pregnant a little too easily but it all worked out in the end.

Just one spoiler but it’s what gave it a one star and I can tell you the rest of the books are five starts because they are fantastic.
Easy to read. Well written and then …
The p word. No. Boom you just blew this book from hero to zero. Making teen pregnancy sound so super cute , where the guy is like super happy about it and then all four guys your in a polygamous relationship with are all super happy about it. She’s all blasé. Yeah I knew for month. Told no one. Hurray for us team ! No.
That’s just… no.
ESPECIALLY as there was all this mention of birth control. Like super unnecessary and then wham bam preggo.

Because in real life (because this isn’t some paranormal writing, it’s supposed to be based on real things) you get your self on vitamins, you nourish your body and your child’s growing within you. You go to your doctors appointments, get blood tests make sure things are going well, safely. Not this bs

Nicely wrapped finale. Last chapter made me cry
I had to take some time to digest everything that happened in this book and how that epilogue made me feel before I could write this review. It was just. That. Good. There were no dull moments in this book, in the whole series in fact, and this finale just secured the series among my all-time favorites.
I loved the last chapter for giving me a glimpse of their lives 1 year after and then 10 years after everything that happened. I loved that they all got their HEA, not just Ember and the guys, but also Eli, her parents, the triplets' parents, Julian, and her uncle Harrison.
The issue with the divide in Raven River between the Estate and Outer Borough was also resolved years after they left. For some reason, when Ember mentioned this, my heart ached.
I admit, my ability to suspend disbelief was stretched a bit at some parts, but I still thought that the way all the major problems got resolved was amazing. Ember proved how great she was at thinking on her feet and coping with each challenge that came her way. There were also those plot twists that I never saw coming. Overall, I am very satisfied with this conclusion to the series.
I also want to note that there is something that happens in this book that I know some readers may not want to read about.

The vision of Raven River that we talked about all those years ago in Mrs. Seeger’s communications class came true. Most of us just weren’t there to see it.

There was a lot packed into this book. Ember has a lot of enemies that needed to go down, her blackmailer, Rio and the Horseman, and Nolan are just the biggest ones. She also wanted to figure out a way to get the guys out of Raven River, plus find out what happened to her parents. I will say this wasn't slow and had a lot of action. I did think parts of the plot were ridiculous and Ember bugged me when she constantly overestimated how important she was to the bad guys and thought she could do everything on her own.
I feel like the author had too many storylines going. How are there this many people who hate Ember and are out for her? And how is this eighteen year old capable of taking down gangs and killers by herself? I would have liked to see her use the guys, her friends, and some adults to help her with all this and I think it would have been more realistic too.

2.5 stars - Possible spoilers below
I struggled to find the motivation to finish this book. It got a bit ridiculous and eye-roll-worthy for me. Even though it’s clear that Ruby Vincent’s books follow a certain formula, I found that this book just couldn’t hold my attention long enough to be excited for the ‘big reveal’ that takes place in several of Vincent’s bullymance series finales.
Ember was a Mary Sue.
She could beat up grown ass men, single-handedly outsmart and take down the bad guys, run her mouth to superior gang bangers yet couldn’t manage to tell her aunt to fuck off every time she insulted, criticised and forced her to eat and dressed her up like a doll. - It just wasn’t believable.
I just couldn’t relate to Ember. She was inconsistent and the relationship she had with her brother came off as patronising and unrealistic. The K-Pop, sugar addiction and fisticuff tendencies were irritating character traits and it was a lame attempt to pad out Ember’s character.
At times I felt like the author was trying to channel Hannaford Prep ‘Lips’ vibes through Ember (Fans of the bullymance genre will know what I mean) but it just didn’t work bc Ember was a privileged, pampered rich girl who didn’t really have reason to be scrappy and street-wise.
Ember was way too forgiving of Hiro and it just wasn’t consistent with how protective of Eli she claimed to be.
I’m not a fan of teen pregnancy in newish relationships.

Alright, I’m gonna be honest, I really didn’t like the writing style of this book and Ember’s naivety.
Half the time I had no clue where a scene was taking place, who the hell Ember was talking to, if she was even saying this out loud and in what time we were even in.
The sexy scenes were also very poorly written in my opinion, where they either glossed over it entirely or they finished while I wasn’t even aware we were in the middle of one (such scene).
And don’t get me started on Ember’s naivety and plans to take down a ruthless gang leader WHILE searching for her missing parents. No guys, Ember is not being reckless. No guys, Ember is not putting herself in harm’s way or literally sneaking away to meet a guy with a gun who wants her dead. Of course not. But because Ember wills it, everything listens to her and she turns out fine. UGH, so not realistic at all.
The final straw was her pregnancy??? Like we literally read she’s taking birth control and boom all of a sudden, she’s pregnant?? And four 18-year-olds are happy?!
God this book frustrated me to no end. The very quick wrap-up of the missing parents and her AUNT’s involvement was a shock not properly explained and way too quickly wrapped up before the epilogue.
Did I continue reading to find out what happens to Rio and the parents? Yes.
Did I enjoy myself while doing that? No.
It might be because I’m used to a different style of writing, but this book was just not it for me.

This is it. The End to Raven River Academy.
The End to Ember Bancroft’s story.
The title definitely gave you what you wanted, which was The End.
Were all the questions answered? Yes pretty much. This book was a present wrapped in a bow giving you everything you wanted and needed to know. Especially after reading the first two books.
So much going with emotions flying all over the place with every page turned. And big surprises, some that I didn’t even see coming.
However, I will say I kind of expected more, especially after reading the first two stories. I am not saying it wasn’t a good story because it was, but in comparison to the other two it didn’t stand as tall.
I do wish there were more moments between Ember and the guys in this story, as it felt there were barely any moments between her and the guys. At least in comparison to the other two books. Also I felt it was anti-climatic when something big went down (the first time) it was over quite quickly, which I wasn’t expecting. Honestly it was like in the blink of the eye it began and ended.
I think my expectations were built quite high after the first two, which is why I didn’t enjoy the book as much as I would have liked to.
Don’t get me wrong it is still a great story and I loved the ending. Especially seeing Ember, the guys and family together (in the future) was the icing on top the cake.
I would still recommend the book series, because Ruby Vincent and her books will do you no wrong!

The End is the final book in Raven River Academy series, and it continues after the revelations at the end of book #2. The story is good, though I think that maybe, just maybe, it had too many storylines going on at the same time and due to that, some of those endings felt a bit rushed. The book did wrap up the loose ends, and ended with a HEA.
I still really like Ember and all four boys. Hiro definitely gets his deserved spotlight on this one. I liked the development of his scenes with Em. I ended up wishing we had seen more of Julian, Cam and Eli though, I kind of hoped that author Ruby Vicent would give at least one of the three their own book series, but alas it does not seem it will be the case. Shame, I was sure they had so much more to show us. I liked the little nods to other books of hers, easter eggs are always cool.
Overall, it was a good series, and Ember might be one of my favorite MC's of the Reverse Harem genre. Worth a read if you enjoy bully + rh romances.

I haven't enjoyed a series like this in a while. Binge reading in 2/3 days. This last one begin with a shock that I didn't see coming. Like hand over mouth shock! The action was non stop and the angst was real. I loved every minute of it.
I'm going to miss Ember and the guys. These characters stole my heart and I hate to say goodbye. It gave me everything I wanted. I'm so happy with the ending. 😭😍
P.S. If you're an audio lover, I recommend you give it a listen. The narrator Addison Barnes was amazing. 👏

Great ending !
A very good ending to the story. The MC was such a badass and I loved to see it.
Sidenote: why was I still hoping for Julian until the very end 😭 since the first chapter I was crossing my fingers, so in my head he ended up with her too 😹okay? Okay.

Putting aside that the heroine is a magical 18 year old who can solve federal cases and outsmart everyone, this is the second series that I have read by Ruby Vincent that I thoroughly enjoyed :)

Worth the read

So, I don’t plan on reading anymore from this author. I’m not really a fan of the way things were revealed. In saying that, this book is a solid 4 stars for me. It was a good conclusion to the trilogy.

Where do I start? I will begin by saying I really enjoyed the first two books. I love bully books when the girl gives as good as she gets. When she doesn’t just take the bullshit. She pays them back. All relationships should be give and take even in these areas.
I’m the kind of woman that does not put up with anyones bullshit. I am not a forgiver. Especially when someone fucks with my family. I don’t care what they did or said. Lay a hand on them. And I am whooping your ass. That a permanent line in the sand. Honestly it seemed like she was that way too. Do. Not. Mess. With. My. Brother.
Hiro is the one that is there when someone beats up her brother. . She swallows his excuses like aweeeee poor baby. Naw bitch your childhood trauma is NO excuse for beating up (whether you’re just watching, he could of stopped him) on a 14 yo child. There’s no forgiving that.
I hate books that pull this kind of shit. Why you ask? 1. Teenage girls read these books. And they are reading that a man can do fucked up things to them and/or someone they love and it’s cool. You forgive them. Fuck that. 2. Teenage boys read it and the mistreatment, the disrespect, the abuse, the assault, the sexism, the misogyny of a female is ok to do cause she will let him get away with it. She might get kinda mad but she’ll get over it. 3. Real men do not treat women like that. They don’t mistreat them. They protect them, against any and all enemies. 4. An author can literally write about anything. Why can’t we have strong badass heroines that take no shit. You fuck with me I will fuck with you. You hurt those I love and your dead to me. Period!!! Bully books are fun when it’s give and take. Authors need to do better. Life is hard as it is. Through literature we should teach our youth to stand up for themselves, be strong, love doesn’t hurt, and life is too short for bullshit.

I’m the kind of woman that does not put up with anyones bullshit. I am not a forgiver. Especially when someone fucks with my family. I don’t care what they did or said. Lay a hand on them. And I am whooping your ass. That a permanent line in the sand. Honestly it seemed like she was that way too. Do. Not. Mess. With. My. Brother.
Hiro is the one that is there when someone beats up her brother. . She swallows his excuses like aweeeee poor baby. Naw bitch your childhood trauma is NO excuse for beating up (whether you’re just watching, he could of stopped him) on a 14 yo child. There’s no forgiving that.
I hate books that pull this kind of shit. Why you ask? 1. Teenage girls read these books. And they are reading that a man can do fucked up things to them and/or someone they love and it’s cool. You forgive them. Fuck that. 2. Teenage boys read it and the mistreatment, the disrespect, the abuse, the assault, the sexism, the misogyny of a female is ok to do cause she will let him get away with it. She might get kinda mad but she’ll get over it. 3. Real men do not treat women like that. They don’t mistreat them. They protect them, against any and all enemies. 4. An author can literally write about anything. Why can’t we have strong badass heroines that take no shit. You fuck with me I will fuck with you. You hurt those I love and your dead to me. Period!!! I really liked the first book. The second one started to turn into an after-school-special and I almost didn’t read the last one.
This one? Jesus fucking trainwreck. It was all sob stories and self-righteousness, I can’t believe she forgave Hiro so easily. It’s not just about him participating in the beating of a deaf child, but that he knew who was doing the blackmailing all along and let his friends worry and run around without saying a peep about it. He let her be best friends with Brandon and didn’t say boo. Gross. How could he possibly claim to care about her?
Ember is ignorant and entitled, and quite frankly I got sick of her “I’m going to fix you all” holy attitude.
The fact that she demanded Royal not use a condom even though he’s explicitly stated that he doesn’t want a child so much that he’d rather double wrap regardless of her birth control?? And she got pregnant?? Fuck this bitch. There’s like a 0.09% chance of birth control failing, so she obviously fucked around with her pills. Wouldn’t be surprised if she did it on purpose because she was afraid her boys would leave her.

Unbelievable
******Spoiler *******I don’t know why the author is trying to convince us that this rich little teenager is capable of beating grown men up and masterminding a way to bring down a gang leader and his empire while solving the mystery of her parents disappearance. How is that even possible or realistic? Ember wills it, so it so. Laughable really. And I’m not a fan of teen pregnancy so that part of the story actually annoyed me and made me want to dnf. So happy she and her 4 teenaged boyfriends are excited about an h planned pregnancy. Can’t imagine it’s even a little accurate when compared to real life scenarios. This whole series was just a bit ridiculous imo. I wouldnt recommend.

3.75 overall for series. The series was pretty good. Em and her brother Eli go to live with her aunt and uncle after her parents disappear. Everyone says they ran off with 2.5 million dollars that the people of the town invested with them for a lodge on the river. Turns out they didn’t run away with the money. Em has faced the Brute if this since everyone is pissed. They left clues for em to find the money - which she did and returned to everyone. Her parents were kidnapped by her aunt and the driver. She found them in time! She ends up getting to live with royal, cas, clay and hiro. They have kids together. the angels gang is no longer, Rios on the run. Brandon’s in jail for beating up Eli so is Nolan.

Well worth the read!
A lot of readers will believe this a bit over the top for high school kids but sadly I found it plausible. People tend to see and believe what they want to to be true. Sometimes it's for their own peace of mind but a lot of times it's for selfish or down right sociopathic reasons. I can tell you for certain spoiled cretins like a lot of kids in this series would not have stood a chance if that were me. We are shaped by our experiences and I was raised an MC princess. Spoiled people generally lack follow through because they've never had to actually fight for anything, but when you have to fight for everything including basic survival you are not going to give up a single solitary thing that you have bled to earn, often quite literally. I know I wouldn't.
I saw a lot of myself in Ember. I have to say I'm impressed how real the author made me believe she was. We all found out who we really are and what we are capable of when forced to rise out the ashes. The guys were all beautifully broken in their own way and I will remember them as if they were actual people I knew. I some ways they are. In the reality of life thugs like Rio win because they are willing to do anything necessary to accomplish their objectives. They fight dirty. They do not care who they hurt or what is sacrificed as long as they come out on top. People with little to lose are dangerous for that very reason. Rio was my father incarnate. My dad Made him look like a choir boy. Like I said we are all born or reborn through our experiences and this series is an experience to be had for certain. Read it you won't be sorry. You may even learn some things about yourself and hopefully the perspectives of others. For the parents out there you may even be slapped with the reality of how sadistic an American high school can be today. This world is full of adults with children but they are not really parents. We all need to do better to teach our children to be better people instead of drawing stupid lines in the sand over trivial garbage that in reality means very little. This book made me reflect on some things and I'm grateful for that. It's reminded me that despite my upbringing I am a really decent person. My past does not define me. It's where I am now that matters and I'm proud to say I got here on my own two feet and I'm still standing and no one can take that from me. That's what I remembered by reading this series. It made some of those numb areas feel warm again. It's better to feel. It the human condition after all. I'd say it separates us from the animals but that's not true because I'm certain animals often feel more deeply than humans, but the true emotion that separates us from monsters and monsters are very real and simply look like people. This series reminded me to be wary of pretty packages that are in reality empty boxes.
That's my take on this series along with my two cents. I tend to be introspective about what I read and hold it to a mirror and see where it may compare to my life. Just read the series. The heroine is a strong young woman that's been pushed way past the point of breaking for most adults let alone a teenage girl. Her harem are actually really good guys and they live her endlessly. It's what we all strive for. Who cares if it's one guy or four ad long as it makes you happy then it's nobody else's concern and as for the Royal, Hiro and the twins(triplets) they were forced into the life they led which only confirms what I've always known and that just because someone is a criminal doesn't not mean they are a bad person just that they may have made bad choices, but in this case they are simply victims of circumstance. Nothing more , nothing less.

Ember's world is crumbling around her. Her ex-boyfriend has tried to shoot Royal and has a vendetta against the Horsemen that he will stop at nothing to fulfill. This is just added to the list of troubles Ember will need to face. She also must find a way to deal with Hiro and his role he played with Eli's attack, take down the secondary blackmailer, find Nolan and exchange him for her captive Angel, return the $25 million dollars to the investors, and find out what happened to her parents. All the while trying to negotiate the release of her men so they may go with her when she leaves Raven River after graduation. No pressure. But that's not all, there is also another life changing secret that can cause the upheaval of her new blossoming family.
Ember is an absolute mastermind and I love that about her. There were ways she manipulated a situation or managed it with zero fear that just spoke to how amazing she is. She never let fear consume her even when a gun was pointed at her face. She acted invincible. Which was hilarious because her guys were constantly trying to protect her when she didn't need it. Ember is one of those female protagonists that you don't have to worry about shattering. And she she does, it's a huge deal. She's not a wilted flower who needs her men to take care of her. She is the one taking care of them.
While the story did wrap up nicely with a little epilogue that further proved the happily-ever-after we all wanted, the ending with Ember's parents seemed very rushes. This mystery of where they ended up and what happened to them seemed to just quickly fix itself within a few chapters. But then again I can't really see how the author could have stretched it out any further to make it flow a bit better, so it's not a huge deal.
The End is the final book in the series and wraps everything up in a perfect little bow.

She ties up all the loose strings. She finds the money and gives it back to everyone.
She gets Rio run out of town. His mechanic Caesar was the one working against him, in combination with Nolan. Ember convinces Caesar to go into witness protection and give the FBI all of his insider info on Rio and the other Horsemen.
Nolan gets stabbed by Royal (self defense) and then he gets arrested for his part in the random drive-bys in town.
Ember finds her parents in an old cabin they used to visit. They were being held captive by Aunt Violet's chauffeur and lover. I already forgot his name. Monroe or Maurice or something. Aunt Violet is basically the one behind the whole thing. The FBI arrests her and the chauffeur guy.
EPILOGUE
In the end, Ember and the boys get out of town. They used Ember's 5 million dollar trust fund to get a house in NY after graduation, where they lived with the Eli and the baby... We already knew Ember had been pregnant during most of the 3rd book. She has her baby girl, Haven, 2 months after graduation. Haven is probably Cas' baby but they all raise her together. Ember legally marries Hiro and then has additional ceremonies to marry the other boys.
10 years later... they have Kimi, Hiro's daughter, and Angel "Ransom", Royal's son. They all live together still but are thinking of leaving NY to get a bigger place. Camila is engaged to someone. Eli has a pregnant girlfriend. They are having Thanksgiving with Ember's parents, Uncle Harrison and his new wife, Royal's cousin Julian's family, and the triplets' parents.
I wish i knew what their jobs all are but it doesn't really say... the boys are at least part time house husbands and whatnot, they're all domestic and shit at the end. Royal is a tattoo artist presumably. Cas might be a locksmith for all I know. I think he wanted to study mechanical engineering. Clay and Hiro are a giant question mark... they went to college at least... and Ember studied art history but idk what she does either. I guess the author just wanted us to know that they're together and they're happy.

I am giving this five stars because as a final book, I am mostly satisfied with how everything was tied up and resolved.
The blackmailer is revealed which I remember was a shock to me on my first read because I never saw that coming. Ember serves him what he deserves though and how she went about confronting him was chef's kiss for me.
Rio and the Horsemen were dealt with. This is the part of the plot that I had to mostly suspend disbelief because taking down gangs is usually a lot messier. Not complaining much about how that went down though.
The mystery of Ember's parents disappearance is the last puzzle that was solved and again, I did not see that coming. I admit, the first time I read this, I almost had a heart attack when I flipped to the last chapter. You almost got me there, Ruby.
Ember was such a badass in this book in that it felt like she wrote down a to-do list and efficiently got them done one by one. The guys have been amazing in supporting her and being her safe place(s).
Another thing that made this satisfying is how the author wrote about the group one year after, and then ten years after the final resolution. Getting an insight on how their happy ever after went was great. They all deserve it, Ember especially.
My only tiny, itty, bitty, disappointment was Julian. I wish Julian ended up as part of her guys but alas, that was not it.😭 I've had a soft spot for Julian since the first book, after it was revealed that he had a phase where he was obsessed with Ember. I hated Pomona and I'm so glad they broke up but it would've been better if he became Ember's in the end.

Loved this book and a great ending to the series. Almost every question I had was answered and all the mystery’s were solved by the end.
I will say that it seemed a bit rushed at the end specifically the whole mystery revolving around where Ember’s and Eli’s parents were. Not to mention it wasn’t addressed that the reason ember didn’t look for them harder in the beginning is because she actually thought they were capable of this. Ember was convinced her parents didn’t love her after what happened with her sister and that’s never addressed.
During the book we see rio get away clean with 2 of the other 4 horsemen. Then in the ten year flash forward at the end up the book it’s mentioned he was caught at some point and is in jail for life. I would have liked a little more detail on what happened in terms of rio as well as the other 2 horsemen.
It’s also mentioned that Nolan’s dads plans came together and they completely restructured Raven River. However, I think it’s odd/ unsettling they don’t mention how Nolan was actually punished. Or the fact that his seemingly faced no consequences for harboring a fugitive as well as “encouraging” his son to commit 2 separate drive-bys.
Lastly I keep hopping and waiting for Royals mother to be brought up again. Her story felt very unfinished in every aspect to me.
I am glad we finally got to know Hiro in the other two books I couldn’t understand the attraction. The interactions between Ember and hiro were so infrequent I couldn’t understand what Ember was seeing. However, this book spent a lot of time going into and building up that relationship to a point where I finally understood and accepted that relationship.
