USA TODAY Bestselling author Peyton Banks is the alter ego of a city girl who is a romantic at heart. Her mornings consist of coffee and daydreaming up the next steamy romance book ideas. She loves spinning romantic tales of hot alpha males and the women they love. She currently resides with her husband and children in Cleveland, Ohio.
I have often found that compilations contain SOME good stories mixed in with subpar or even bad stories. For Cowboy Temptation, this situation was certainly not the case. I was familiar with almost all of the authors contributing to the book with limited exceptions. As usual, Ms. Loren hit it out of the park and provided a provoking and powerful story. It did not end on a cliffhanger but promised more. Ms. Preston, Ms. Rena, Ms. Preston, and Ms. Malori gave us interesting and fulfilling stories and sensual characters. Each story had a different premise, energy and vibe. I loved that Ms. Preston told her very cute story from the perspective of the male lead. Until this book, I had not read any works by Ms. Bright or Ms. Royal. Ms. Royal’s story took my breath away; it was so emotionally raw. I immediately began looking for other books by this awesome “new to me” author. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience with the offering by Ms. Bright; I found my self actually skipping through most of the book without making a connection to the H or the h. Six of the seven books in the compilation are truly gems!

Bohemian Outlaw L.Loren ....
My Accidental Cowboy Sade Rena ...

Cowboy, Take Me Away by Peyton Banks Rating: 4.5 Stars Read: 3.7.21
When Nasia meets Stan she’s instantly attracted to him. Though Stan had sworn off women after his divorce that vow gets broken real fast when he meets Nasia. This heroine played no games and was up front and clear about what she wanted and if was so refreshing.
Bohemian Outlaw by L. Loren Rating: 4.5 Stars Read: 3.8.21
When Josey’s best friend dies unexpectedly, she makes a promise to live out her dream of living on a ranch and buys a b&b fixer-upper. Unable to do it alone, she places an ad for a very handy ranch hand to help with repairs. Soon he becomes handy in other areas of her life as well.
My Accidental Cowboy by Sade Rena 4 Stars Read: 3.9.21
This is a cute story about a couple that pretend to be engaged, unaware that they’re not as clever as they think when they’re forced to speed things along or confess it’s all a ruse.
Storm Chasers by ML Preston Rating: 4 Stars Read: 3.10.21
Two storm chasers find love in the midst of turbulent weather despite the rocky start to their partnership. Just as he starts to win her over and own her heart, she gets a offer she can’t refuse.
This is a collection of BWWM cowboy romance books. The books in this collection are: Cowboy, Take Me Away (Payton Banks), Bohemian Outlaw (L Loren), My Accidental Cowboy (Sade Rena), Storm Chasers (ML Preston), Desperado (Reana Malori), Broken Ride (Julia Bright), and Country Blues (Jade Royal). Some of the books are part of the authors ongoing series but they still read well as standalones. Anthologies are hit and miss for me, but I found myself enjoying all the stories and have added some new authors books to my “to read” list. Each book well written and entertaining. If you love your romances to have hot cowboys that know their way around a ranch and know how to treat their women right.

This collection was well put together and these authors really knew their stuff I enjoy each one they so good and reading them was awesome keep up the great work ladies!
Wowsa this book had me hooked from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book. Stan can't get over the past but can he let go of it if he wants a future with nasia? I absolutely fell in love with both of them and they shared a chemistry like no other.

Peyton Banks is amazing. Her writing technique pulls the reader in, holding them hostage until finally releasing on the last page of the book. Absolutely amazing
Read 4 out of the 7 novellas. The first story by Peyton Banks was my favorite. It was an overall ok anthology. Usually they are hit or miss for me which is why I only read/finished 4 novellas. After I finished reading 'Storm Chasers' by ML Preston I was pretty much done with the Cowboy anthology. I didn't have the desire to continue.
There are seven books in this collection but I am reviewing only two of them. Cowboy, Take Me Away by Peyton Banks Nasia Henry is a coffee shop owner who moved back to her hometown after being away for a few years. She meets Stan Larsen, a ranch hand, when he comes in with a co-worker. They are instantly attracted to each other. Nasia has a twin sister, Aleka, and Stan has an ex-wife, Victoria. I enjoyed getting to know Nasia and Stan. They genuinely enjoyed each other’s company. They were good for each other. Bohemian Outlaw by L. Loren Josey Johnson works for her father in his financial company. She hates her job and has a dream of owning a ranch. Her father thinks she should stay in the corporate world. After a tragedy, she decides to buy a ranch and make it an inn and working ranch. Jaxon Morgan works on his family’s ranch. His girlfriend, Olivia, and older brother, Brody, had an affair for over a year. When Jaxon discovers it, Brody and Olivia decide to become a couple. Jax is considered weak by his father and decides to apply for the ranch hand job that Josey advertises. They have an instant attraction. I enjoyed their banter and their storyline. I highly recommend this collection.

A Country Temptation: A BWWM Western Romance Limited Edition Collection featuring Peyton Banks. Great collection of western romance from various talented authors. This collection has something for everyone. Each sizzling story will sweep you off your feet, leave you breathless, and put a smile on your beautiful face. I would recommend this book and authors to others. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved them all by some of my favorite authors! The second book by L. Loren, left a To be continued ending, so I look forward to the release when it becomes available! In this book, I hope they talk more about his family, because their family dynamics is just messed up! Big time! With that being said, I hope it comes out soon! I thank all of the writers for there wonderful stories!
Doing an early review for the story Desperado. Tamara is running to escape a crazed ex-husband with the help of the Lady Guardians. She runs right into the arms of billionaire rancher Clint. This couple had chemistry and a good storyline but they were nearly overshadowed by Gladys and Bobby. I would love to get their story.
I am reviewing Country Blues by Jade Royal. Country Blues to me was a second chance romance. Jade Royal has a unique style to her writing which makes the stories she writes flow no matter the length of the story. Each world she creates leaves you wanting more.
Dante & Michelle love for each other gets them through each and every heartbreak. I enjoyed following Dante & Michelle's trip to become a team facing each situation. I would love to see Tim get his own story.
I can't wait to read the other stories in A Country Temptation.
I admit I was a bit apprehensive because just point blank: Cowboys. I don't know but it never really interested me because when I think about the men I want to read about Cowboys are like at the bottom of the list. However you all did not disappoint. I loved all the stories. They each gave something different. From women actually running a ranch to meteorologist!? Love it! And the men that loved them were just as equally amazing!! I will say my top fave would have to be book 2 by L. Loren.

Let's start off by saying this book is hot! Every story was great and a pleasure to read. It is a collection of awesome reads put out by amazing authors. Great plots, storyline that flow from scene to scene and the 'action' is super not. Run out and buy it!!!!
Each authors did an excellent job . Some storyline I liked more thAn others. Some authors are authors i follow and others are new such as Julia Bright and Jade Royal.
This compilation of cowboys stories was fun and interesting once I started reading I could not stop, my life was on hold all weekend long but I finally finished it. I loved it .Looking forward to the next endeavor of combined writing. So far I love all the authors writing so am not surprised I loved this. Keep writing these stories.
Great writing! Every story was intriguing. I was able to relate to every hero and heroine. I could feel the love and it’s development was believable. I’ve read every story and would give each 4.0 to 4.5. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.
Loved these stories, all of them, the authors did an excellent job. All those hot Cowboys their strong women and the HEA's . Look forward to reading more.
This was a great anthology. I enjoyed A country temptation by Peyton Banks. Great characters. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
... Some were so so and needed to be re-edited for errors. I usually try anthologies to get to know new authors that I have not read before. My tried and true authors in this anthology did not disappoint, but the authors that were new to me did not impress me.
Cowboy, Take Me Away A Blazing Eagle Ranch Novella by Peyton Banks ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Stan Larsen had trust issues especially after catching his ex-wife with his good friend. He was not ready to deal with any affairs of the heart even after being divorced for a year. But when she saw Nasia Henry, a coffee shop proprietor, he was smitten and so was she. Nasia was determined to show Stan that she was not Victoria, his ex-wife. Just when everything was going well for the couple, Stan’s past comes roaring back in like a whirlwind bringing Stan back to his trust issues. He messed up with his lack of trust but his friend persuaded him to beg and grovel to get the love of his life back and that was what he did. This was a sweet love story even though I don’t agree with how straightforward Nasia was. To each their own method of letting a man know she’s interested. She spoke her mind and did not hold any punches, especially dealing with the ex-wife. I loved how she handled that.
Bohemian Outlaw by L.Loren ⭐⭐⭐⭐ They both needed to escape their families. Josey Johnson needed to get away from her controlling father and follow her dream of owning a ranch. When her best friend at work died, she was determined to make her dream come true with the help of her mother and her deceased rancher grandfather, to the irritation of her father. Jaxon Morgan had had enough of his father not appreciating all that he did for the family ranch and when he caught his girlfriend with his brother, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. When the job of ranch manager became available on the east coast, it was time for him to leave Oklahoma. He did not expect to work for a beautiful woman and fell head over heels for Josey and so did she for him. I loved how Josey finally got the courage to strike it out on her own and follow her dream. I loved even more how she stood up to her father, especially when he started in on Jax. It tickled me to no end how the father’s favorite child, Josey’s younger sister, read her father the riot act and made him realize how differently he treated Josey. This was something he was not expecting but gained acceptance and pride in all of Josey’s choices.
My Accidental Cowboy A Coldbank Cowboy Novella by Sade Rena ⭐⭐⭐ I don't understand how Denton is an accidental cowboy. He grew up on a ranch. I don’t get the reason for the title. Anyway, it’s interesting to see how Leah and Denton handle being accidentally engaged because of his mother being ready for and wanting grandbabies. She played the perfect matchmaker for her son without him even knowing it. I’m more invested to see what will happen to Denton’s brother Parker. Who will he fall for after his long-time relationship ended?
Storm Chasers by ML Preston ⭐⭐⭐ Country mouse and city mouse unexpectedly fell in love. This couple was so cute. I loved how Tyler had a sassy mouth and take no prisoner’s kind of personality. But the dilemma was will she stay or go. I loved the playful banter between these two.
Desperado by Reana Malori ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I loved this story. This big bad former Marine was just fine with life. He was content with raising his son alone after the death of his wife. Her death totally destroyed him and it took him some time to get back to life. He did not need a woman in his life to make him happy, until the first time he laid eyes on Tamara Wright’s photo. He knew he was in trouble the day she stepped on his ranch. Tamara needed his protection from her crazy ex and he had a hard time controlling himself. Not only had Clinton Sullivan fallen in love with Tamara so had his eight-year-old son Sammy. He wanted Tamara as his new mother and did not hesitate to let any wayward women know. He was so cute. He really tickled me in the grocery store. Tamara was in a conundrum. She knew she was only there for a month for Clint's protection. She was falling to for not only Clint and Sammy but Gladys and Butch. They were the family she always wanted. She desperately wanted to stay but did not know if she could. She’d just make good use of her time with Clint and Sammy. Both Clint and Tamara were surprised at how quickly their relationship happened. Reana wrote a wonderful story that I hope she continues with a sequel or series. I would love to know what happens with Gladys and Butch. They tickled me how they would snark at each other knowing dang good and well they had the hots for each other. Old people need love too! I really loved Clint and Tamara as a couple. I loved how Tamara fit in very well with Clint’s family at the ranch and how she related to Gladys and got Clint to see things that were right under his nose.
Broken Ride by Julia Bright ⭐⭐ I did not relate to this couple at all. There was not enough storyline and too much sex. This needed more story development and less sex.
Country Blues by Jade Royal ⭐⭐⭐ Even though the story had an interesting plot, I just could not get into the relationship of Dante and Michelle. Even though they knew each other in college, they had not seen each other in years and their relationship just seemed too much too soon. I enjoyed reading more about the plotline but could not get into the sex scenes.
I liked the first book. The second story was trite; too convenient that all the subcharacters didn't understand them. The third book was good; I may purchase the follow-up story. I really enjoyed the fourth book about storm chasing; that's not a subject you read often in romance novels. Kudos to the author. The fifth book was by Ms. Malori. I always enjoy her stories; women helping and supporting women. This was also a good one (needed a few edits). I enjoyed the 6th story. I missed an epilogue. The last story was also enjoyable. I like that they had the foundation of a previous friendship which made the relationship stronger. Overall it was a good box set and worth the money spent. I am not an author, so regardless of any critique, good job entertaining the readers.
5 stars - first book DNF - 2nd book 4.5 - 3rd book 5 - 4th Book 4 - spelling errors and quick ending -Book 5 1 - started out amazingly enjoyable but too much repetitive talk about her job and moving to the ranch that really slowed it down and wasn’t enough focus on the romance for being a romance book the mystery was predictable and the ending was abrupt with little to no realism -Book 6 3 - Very Steamy and sexual I loved the mystery aspect - Book 7
I read this book in a day. I really liked it. Some characters I am totally invested in and them to continue their story or have their own story. Well worth reading all the stories. It’s refreshing to see black women portrayed in a positive light with sex appeal.
