This book was boring. I was left confused because the synopsis days married for two years...but they get engaged later in the book. The background story for Jenna was so not necessary...maybe I should say poorly executed. Just didn't feel like it belonged in the story. Ian and Alec felt like an after thought, I didn't care for either one. Matt's parents dislike for Jenna also fell flat for me. Even moreso, how Jenna easily forgives and accepts how mean and unbecoming his parents are to her grated my nerves. I love how Matt stood up for her, loved on her and showered her with love. Understanding Matt's reasons for being upset was the only thing I can accept from all this. Out of all the series I read this one is a Hard No! I had to skip ahead several times just to reach the end. This book may not be for me, but your opinion can vary from mine. Try it out and formulate your own POV.
I enjoyed reading the love story of Matt and Jenna. This novel contains drama, lies, betrayal, mental abuse, hope, Faith, dreams, intrigue, kidnapping, and learning to let the past stay there. Most times people in love are not honest with themselves or their love ones. Forgiveness is a powerful word and action. A lot of us need to remember that we are human beings and that are not without sin. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know!!!
The premise had so much potential, but unfortunately this was not realised, leaving so much to be desired. The story feels rushed and making it hard to stay interested, especially with the character backgrounds feeling unrealistic and not well written.
If the story was longer, characters could have been better explored and explained, which would make it much more believable.
Matt’s parent’s reason for disliking, almost hating, Jenna was petty and failed to add to the story. Matt’s over reaction to Jenna’s secret was dramatic and Jenna’s reason for keeping the secret was unwarranted. Both creating an unnecessary plot for miscommunication.
Despite this, I look forward to reading other stories by this author, as I think they have potential with their premises and hope to see their growth in storytelling.

I read this book via Audible and me giving it a 3star rating is honestly being nice. The book and the synopsis did not match and I felt the story was dragging. The worst part for me was the narrator, they were horrible. They stumbled over the words the entire story and even misspoke several times. The crazy part is I do think it could have been better with a better narrator. It came off very cheesy.
Jenna and Matthew are happy and perfect together. Old secrets come out threatening to end that happiness. Enjoyed the drama but glad they found their way back after all the issues. Enjoyed the storyline.
Matt and Jenna endured somethings that is similar to some our life stories. We may have lied someone and we hid the truth thinking it was for the best. But at the end of the day if it’s for you it will withstand the storm.
I just like the fact that these story was quick and easy read. I like Jena and Matt as characters and I love their connection in this book. Read if you just want something both sweet and steamy.
