I enjoyed the story overall, however, I feel like there are of it, that are left unexplained. Not only to us, but to, Simon. Not that I believe, he ever really feels he has a chance when it, comes to his brother, Tristan. Why didn’t she blow up at him, or question him?

Simon knows, Tristan did inflict the deepest pain, onto Clover, back in high school. Not specifics, but he knows it, hurt her. To the point where they could, no longer be, best friends. Clover wished she never told, Tristan how she felt, at the same time, she knew he was, doing things in front of her to make her mad. To cause as much pain, as possible.

Simon almost seems like he, is just holding Tristan’s place, until he comes to, his senses. Clover even, as mad as she’s, at Tristan, for the pain of their lost friendship, eight years ago, she still loves him. This, pisses her off. Especially, his indifference to her. Meanwhile, Tristan is jealous, as all hell at his brother, for winning her over, and that he is so, stupid eight years ago.

If you need to imagine a "what if" with the one who got away.. pick this up. I usually enjoy this author but Tristan is an apathetic unapologetic jerk. Clover seems like a truly genuine sweet girl who sadly can't help that she fell in love with her best friend a long time ago. Since he trashed her heart she clearly hasn't bounced back or gained a spine. Every hurt he put her through is forgotten instantly the second he figures out, hey yeah I guess I do want her. Nope, no, no, nope. I don't like him. There is zero redemption. No justice for past heart break. Just, no. And it took the Dr brother 8 years to stick a toe into this girls affections? Why now? Not explained. What is wrong with those two guys?

Can friends become more? Clover and Tristan were best friends growing up, but when Clover told Tristan she wanted more, he did the unthinkable. Now years later Tristan is back but can he face his past.

Revisiting The Past is a beautifully written story as you follow the character while they sort out the feeling of their heart. Clover and Tristan love and passion increase by leaps and bound when they admit what has been staring them in face for years. I do have to say the younger Tristan was rather a ......

A nice short story about Tristan and Clover, who were once best friends until he did something stupid. And about the one that escaped you because of stupid mistakes you made.
Will they find each other again and can they talk it out and leave it behind.

I think it's a very nice story and realistic because you can experience it in real life as well, you can easily empathize with the characters and their feelings.

I would definitely read this book you will not be disappointed.

This book is a fast pace second chance love story. I thought the love story would be the younger brother and clover. But it's the older brother. I thought the boy was an idiot to just say that and walk way from the girl of his love. Yes they were friends but when he comes back he is acting still like an idiot but he turns out to be the best second chance she ever takes.

This was a very short romance. It was cute and steamy. I wish there was a little more substance between Clover and Tristan as I would've like to see a little emotions between them, but it was sweet and entertaining.

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story.
The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind.

A great short story that draws you in when you think of the one that got away because of some stupid things you did that hurt her that should be nonrepairable.

The author pulls us into the lives of Clover and Tristan. They were best friends once upon a time but then Tristan broke her heart. Now he is back in town and the past will not let him have any peace.

Tristan is home after 8 yrs away in the military. He got scared when Clover told him she loved him. So he screwed up, he just said thanks and walked away. Now he wants a chance to make her his forever. Good ending.

Short, but sweet

I don't usually care for short stories, but this was both sweet and hot!! 🔥. But I liked the idea that a guy leaves the girl for 8 years, then comes back realizing what he lost. I do wish Clover had made him work harder for it but still, a good read!!

Tristan and Clover's journey may have it's bumps but they were made for each other, they were drawn to one another, the connection and chemistry between them was strong, they were good together.
