Growing up, I was always bewildered why important financial lessons like taxes, investments, and buying a home weren’t taught in school. Ever since, I've wanted to learn and help others with their financial needs, including buying a home, which is the reason I wrote "Home Buying 101: What They Don't Teach You in the Classroom". Unlike a textbook, this book about home buying is short, informal, and easy to read. It’s the "Cliffs Notes" version, filled with information and tips I’ve learned throughout my career. This book really simplified the home buying experience. It’s straightforward and easy to read. I particularly enjoyed the last chapter with the helpful tips and also appreciated the glossary at the back of the book.

It’s not a secret that everyone wants to own their own home, a special place that is just for them. The truth of the matter is that buying a home is a long process and it can be hectic and stressful. However, with the help of this book you can master the entire process of buying a home.
This book is the perfect guide for people who want to buy a house and don’t know where to start. This book is very organized. It’s broken into steps and each chapter highlights what comes next in the process of buying a home. It provides in depth information on the benefits of buying a home instead of renting one. It teaches about property appreciation and tax deductions. It also gives tips on how to prepare your finances and knowing the different types of mortgages and loans.
The book lays out the details on how two find the perfect home, interviewing the real estate agents and searching for a house within your budget. It also provides information on what to do after you sign your contract, including obtaining home insurance and closing the deal. What I love most about this book is that it also gives tips on what to do after purchasing your home.
This is a great book. It’s the full package, well written and loaded with helpful information. It's also simple and easy to understand.

The authors style is almost conversational making the book easy to read and comprehend. A lot of great examples and tips from his personal experience. I’ll be recommending for friends and family looking to buy a home.

This is the first book I read on the subject. While I can't compare it to any other guides of this type, I found that it was clear and concise, easy to understand, and after finishing it I feel much more confident with getting started on the home-buying process.

This is a must read for everyone, and especially those in their 20s! Personally, as a young individual, this book has opened my eyes and helped me understand the ins and outs of real estate! I’m immensely grateful to have had the privilege of reading this book at this age.

A very informative, yet concise book, that will provide you with all the ins and outs of home buying. The knowledge provided in this book takes a lot of the pressure and stress of home buying, by informing you what to expect at each step.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book . For centuries people have been drawn to real estate and it’s usually the personal motivations that are more interesting. I certainly learned a lot about real estate investing that I didn’t know before. I also likes the author’s writing style that was informative, yet also entertaining and accessible. You can tell that he genuinely wants to share what he’s learned!
I really appreciated the straightforward style of the book. He tells a very compelling story and then provides a deeper dive into the legal definitions and details of deal making as a final chapter. This makes critical, instructive information easy to find for further reference.
This book is definitely a need for anyone buying their first home. It really lays out all the information and steps going into buying a house so you at least have a general understanding of what’s going to happen. It brought up many things I had no clue to even think of. The way that it is organized is fantastic. Easy to understand, broken into chapters/sub-chapters, examples and lists are very valuable and clear.

This is a must-read for anyone, especially new home buyers or those looking to buy a home. Home Buying 101 breaks everything down in an easily digestible chapters, and the author writes in such a way that had me hanging on every word. I learned so, so much, and I even started highlighting parts!
I can't recommend this enough. I'm impressed by the author's entrepreneurial drive, even from when he was young, and his curiosity in learning about home buying is outstanding. I'm so glad this book crossed paths with me, and I can't wait to put it to use. This is definitely a book that will get worn as I read it several times over to make sure all the information sticks. I'll probably end up lending it out to others, too, or even buying them their own copy!

I really enjoyed reading this book. The book is very well written and is loaded with plenty of useful information and suggestions about buying home and about entering in to real estate market. Even though the book is useful for all types of people but if you are a first time home buyer then you must definitely read this book. 4 stars because I don't really have any other house buying books to compare it to. However,
it was a simplified (in a good way) overview of the process of homebuying with a lot of key terms and straightforward lists of what to do. Definitely would recommend this book to someone who doesn't have much knowledge about homebuying.

Still some things I have questions about. Like it doesn't tell you how to find a real estate lawyer or any of the other people it mentions. But it's still good to get a general sense of how home buying works. Has some good tips too.
