What happens when you piss off a god?

Let me tell you: it turns your life upside down.

Sirens destroyed everything I loved. My family, our offshore fishing business, and my life.

I swore revenge and made it my mission to take everything they had taken from me, killing them one by one until there was nothing left but blood in the water. Cue Poseidon, god of the sea, livid that I’d killed off the protectors of his domain.

Yeah. I might have screwed up.

Do I want to do Poseidon’s dirty work for him? No. Do I want to drag others down with me? Hell no! The problem is, I’m surrounded by these wonderful men who would die for me no matter how much I try to push them away. My biggest worry? They might have to.

This book is intended for mature audiences. 18+ readers only! It contains language and sexual situations. This is a medium burn reverse harem where the girl gets all the guys. Why Choose? Harem members added as series progresses. Series will contain some mild M/M scenes.

Dakota has two passions in life: writing and cinnamon tea. Tea so strong she ought to be able to see her future when she drinks it, and the writing? Well she hopes it makes you see stars when you read it. She creates reverse harem romance novels filled with things that go bump in the night. That handsome werewolf walking down the street? The suave vampire you’re just dying to get a taste of? You’ll find them enraptured by charming, smart ladies ready to make those bad boys work for their affection. When not writing, Dakota can be found on the back of a horse out on the trail or tending the animals on her farm.

This book was so good . I want to know what really happened with her family because it seems there more to the story. (But I could be wrong) I absolutely love Liam and Teddy but the other guys are awesome too I just want more of a background on all of them . Especially Liam’s history with the mages because he obviously does not like them. I wonder what’s gonna happen to the lead singer but he obviously needs some brains lol . The Greek sex goddesses are awesome and hilarious. I can’t wait for book 2

So, I admit to some bias because this is literally the first reverse harem book I have ever read, and it took me getting about 3/4 of the way through the book before I finally figured out that slow pacing was on purpose as the story is meant to be stretched out over multiple books. My apologies for that.

However, despite that, I still have to say that I found it hard to get into the story as it felt a little like the same thing over and over for over half the book. My suspension of disbelief was stretched pretty thin on how little things changed despite the whole story taking place over a year (until everything changed at once).

Now, the setting itself was GORGEOUS. Beautifully depicted, I could see the bar at the Coconut Cove, feel sand in my toes, and sense the roll of the ocean waves. The book was a visceral experience on every page (even the dirty ones heehee), and I loved living on a beach with a bunch of hot guys for a while.

I'm reading the second book partially because I don't like leaving series unfinished and partially because I am not going to judge an author by a single book.

I love mermaids, I mean who doesn’t! But ooooh hot vampire in a Mermaid harem, now we’re talking! Yes Ma’am give me more! Oh oh oh, I really want to know, what is the deal with that Kraken, and what really happened to her family and the original Siren pod? How was she able to go after them all? I mean this girl is resourceful and resilient. My only thing that bothered me, was that she was ruthless in her revenge, yet when she kills to save her life, that bothers her. Why was that so different than at any other time? Hmm curious.. overall excellent story telling, absolutely loved the book and will definitely read the next ones!

Read almost as though a different author wrote it

This is the third series I’ve read from this author, and writing style is different. Not in style, but as if a different person was writing it under this authors name. The story lacked flow, and there were several typos and mechanical errors, as though it wasn’t edited or even proofread. I am a bit flummoxed, because this was not the same caliber as the other two series.

Under the sea fun

We open this story with Bree, our tragic heroine who has found herself in a pretty tough spot. Newly transformed siren in need of a pod. This was definitely a slow burn but well worth the wait. So many supernaturals in one little town! I like the addition of some less common supernaturals. It’s definitely a different spin than what I’m used to!

Good book.

Interesting premise and world building. Becoming the creatures she killed in revenge for her families death is definitely a new twist. A vampire and a siren, and a ticking clock. And a kraken, because of course. Lots of unanswered questions that will hopefully reveal themselves in The next book!

Started strong and I enjoyed the story until about 60% and then I started getting bored.

The use of “Costal” when the author meant “Coastal” honestly drove me nuts.

I also won’t be continuing with the series because I see it’s supposed to be a trilogy, however it appears the author has abandoned this story and I want to save myself the frustration of a cliffhanger in book 2.

I loved Liam ❤️

She does it again

The story sucks you in and you quickly become attached to the characters. Bree is a strong girl with the desire to do what is right, even if it hurts her. I'm excited to see where the next book takes us

Phenomenal!

This book is so UNIQUE! Bree’s story will tug your heartstrings. Liam is a strong rock that keeps her balanced and I am loving it. I cannot wait to see how things turn out for Bree, Liam, Teddy, Carl & Dennis in the next book!

Liam! ♥️

Dakota Brown strikes again!! I love this series so far and it has so much potential. Though I really have some serious suspicions regarding her fiancé and what happened to her family. Bree is thus far one of my favorite characters!

Fun reads

I enjoyed this introductory chapter to this story. Plenty of action, romance, danger and intrigue. Looking forward to the next tome.
