Good advice. Needs a polish

I enjoyed the quick and simple recommendations presented in a guidebook style. It’s definitely a useful read for those that already have an understanding of Montessori principles but need some help on implementation.

One noteworthy issue that I had while reading is that I felt the book needed another good pass through editing. There were a lot of paragraphs that I had to go back and interpret what the author meant to write or what words she intended to use. I don’t consider myself an excessive stickler for grammar but the errors and clunky sentences greatly tripped up smooth readability. It got to the point that I would highlight passages and read them to my wife out loud because they were entertainingly rough. Hopefully the next revision can smooth some things out.

Great for parents and ECE teachers

I am an early-childhood teacher and a mom, the Montessori method has always appealed to me. However, I thought the cost put it out of my reach. This book explains ways to implement the ideas of Montessori with little to no cost. I like that each chapter opens with a quote fron Montessori or one of her followers. It really helps the reader connect to Maria's message. Then, I also appreciated that each chapter closed with a summary notes section. This allows the reader to reference back to the main ideas and takeaways from the chapter. That also really drives home the point of each chapter. Overall, I look forward to implementing so much of this book.

Great advice

I have always loved Montessori schools and this book on Montessori discipline was excellent. I loved, the flexibility of it. It advised to make routines but to allow, some freedoms for your childm for example, if they're happily coloring, you can wait before, asking them to brush their teethm
