I am seriously in love with Scarlett Scott’s books! This is such a funny, romantic storyline with so many interesting characters!
Full review to come❤️
First of all I Love all of the books by this author! This series is so addictive, and you have to read the series, but they are all stand alone!
Blade Winter's is one of the many Winter's, he and is siblings are loving and protective with each other. He is sent to Dev Winters Christmas house party due to a scandal he caused. His is an alpha male, a golden blond rake and scoundrel. Lady Felicity Hughes is London's beauty, "a diamond of the first water", and is in need of a rich Lord to marry to help save her family. When they meet for the first time it is due to a funny laugh out loud situation, but very electrifying sexually!! Instant attraction in such an unusual first meeting.
I have so much to write about this book, but can't without giving up everything! But, oh my goodness, this is one of my many, many favorites from Scarlett Scott! Her attention to details is historically accurate, the balls, the games, the past time and the clothing. They are all beautifully detailed.
The characters in this book are witty, and part of the Winter family and just makes this book so much fun to read. Such a funny romance, with a gripping storyline. And to think it all started because of Lady Wilhemina =-) =)

I was given an ARC by author for an honest review.

A rogue tempting a Lady. Or is it the Lady tempting the rogue?
Lady Felicity somehow gets about the Winter's house party without her aunt and nearly always discovers Mr. Blade Winter, or Blade finds Lady Felicity - but then they are both being manipulated.
Throughout this book, I was always thinking that Blade and Felicity were going to get caught in a compromising situation.
I rather enjoyed this story. Loved the characters and storyline. 5☆

💋💋💋

Scarlett hits the mark perfectly, Blades story is sensual romance at its best.
Chemistry is off the charts with Felicity and our hero.
The scenes are so well written and enjoyable to read.
Chapter 9 was stunning, the two finally giving in and the results are wonderful.
Wow Scarlett you gave me shivers.

Genevieve Winters is next. The woman who want to run a Gaming Hell, what could possibly go wrong. I can hardly wait to find out.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

Blade Winter. Yes the name said it all, or did it? Banished to his half brother's house party after his scandalous duel over a woman, all he wanted was to leave as soon as could.

But then he found her under his bed, looking for her cat no less... Lady Felicity. And the story begins...
Felicity needed to find a husband to help save her family and her two younger sisters. For some reason these two kept bumping into each other.

Then she kissed him!! She knew she should stop but "She did not want to slip away. She had been waiting all her life for this, for him." "Her knees trembled. She clutched him. This was.. No kiss had ever been so...She had no words. None."

Another delicious addition that The Wicked Winters and I cannot wait to see who is next!

Winters Whispers is the 10th book in Scarlett Scott’s Wicked Winters series following the Winter siblings. Each story can be read as stand-alones but as always, I highly recommend that you pick up the rest. They are all great books.
Blade Winter has grown up in the rookeries of London and along with his illegitimate siblings has clawed his way to success cultivating a deadly reputation in the process. A near fatal mistake involving a duel with the husband of one of his liaisons has him banished to the country at a house party thrown by his legitimate half-brother. All he needs to do is lie low and keep himself out of trouble for the duration and he will soon get back to where he belongs. But when he meets the delectable Lady Felicity can Blade resist temptation?
Lady Felicity Hughes is at the Winter house party specifically to find a husband. Her family is in dire straits and she is resigned to sacrificing love for convenience. But she is fascinated by the wickedly handsome Mr Winter who somehow continually crosses her path. She knows where her duty lies but can she resist Blade’s wicked offer of a night of passion? And can she turn her back on her feelings and marry another?
Felicity is lovely. She is sweet, loyal, dutiful but with an independent streak. Blade is gorgeous. He has done some unsavoury things in his past but seeing his siblings fall in love and marry, he is questioning the path his life is on. Meeting Felicity throws him off balance as she definitely is not the sort of woman he usually consorts with but when he does realise his feelings he acts quickly.
I loved Blade and Felicity as a couple. They are from different worlds completely, but their connection is instant, and it is wonderful to see them progress to their HEA. It is a sweet story of opposites attracting. There are some lovely tender moments in the story such as Blade revealing his true name to Felicity, his being the only person to ask her to follow her own happiness instead of sacrificing her future to duty, her seeing behind the persona to the real man beneath.
This book grabbed me from the very first scene which was very funny. Set in the country at a house party, this has a different tone to the last two books. It has a lighter touch with plenty of humour and scorching hot moments. The premise allows us to catch up with the previous couples in the former books and see how they are doing which I loved. I liked the banter and teasing between Blade and his siblings – the window incident is particular highlight! And I loved the [not so] subtle matchmaking by the Winter ladies.
I was generously gifted an ARC but the opinions are completely my own. Scarlett is a favourite author whose writing is superb. As with all the books in this series, I highly recommend you pick this up.

There was just something about the character of Blade Winter that was very engaging. He was certainly the lovable rogue. Blade had done many things in his life that he wasn’t proud of but was necessary for his survival. I enjoyed his friendly teasing banter with Lady Felicity. Unfortunately for Felicity, she needed to marry well as he father was deeply in debt and she had two younger sisters at home. Although Blade enjoys the company of women, he is in no rush to get married. However, the rest of his half siblings have matchmaking on their minds! I enjoyed the little snippets of the sisters’ married life and the close bond between the siblings. This was a very entertaining read. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another great book in the lives of the Winter siblings. Blade Winter was forced to attend a Christmas house party in the countryside. He is a coldhearted assassin, or so everyone thinks. All it takes is a beautiful society miss named Felicity to bring him to his knees. She must marry well to save her family. But before she consigns herself to a loveless marriage, Felicity just might want to experience a bit of wickedness with the irresistible Blade. There is just the right amount of romance and humor. I loved how the author gave us glimpses of the previous couples in the series. It gave the story so much more depth. You will love this latest installment of the Winter series. Scarlett Scott is my all time favorite romance author!!! I can't wait for the next book which features Genevieve Winter. I received an ARC of this book and is my honest review.

This author is one of my favorites, so I couldn’t wait to continue reading about the Winters family. The story was full of witty banter and sweet, steamy romance. Felicity is a beautiful and loyal lady willing to sacrifice herself to a loveless marriage devoid of passion so that her younger sisters might have their season and save the financial woes of her family. But that’s before she meets Blade from the bastard side of the Winters family tree. When the story opens, we find Blade banished to a house party hosted by his legitimate brother because of a duel he had over a married lady. The two meet right at the beginning in his room and the witty dialogue and sparks began to fly. Later during the house party, Blade cuts straight to the matter with his question to her, “Why not enjoy yourself before you sale your body and soul to save your sisters?” This has Felicity rethinking her original plans. Reading this book was such a pleasant way to spend a rainy afternoon.

What can I say? Yet again this author has delivered. This was the story of Blade and Felicity. It was steamy, romantic, enthralling, beautifully written. I loved how the characters from the previous books in this series made an appearance and we were given glimpses here and there of their new families. What I particularly like about this author, is the way she writes about the viewpoints of the main characters. She juggles their different personalities in a way that tells a compelling, coherent story that is also quite hilarious at times. Not many authors can do this with the kind of skill she possesses. Oh – and I adored Miss Wilhelmina, being a lover of animals myself, particularly cats.

Loved this book.

Blade Winter has been sent to attend Devereux Winter's Christmas country house party in disgrace by his brother Dominic for duelling with his lover's husband. With a warning to stay out of trouble. However trouble is destined to follow him in the shape of the lovely, but virtuous Lady Felicity Hughes. Lady Felicity must marry a wealthy gentleman to safeguard the futures of her beloved sisters who are dowerless due to her father's ever increasing gambling debts. Lady Felicity in the company of hrr Aunt Agatha must endeavour to achieve this by the end of the house party or face financial ruin.

Blade is everything she should not want and more, but she cannot help how she feels and Felicity is everything that Blade has run away from, but he has seen how love has felled his brothers and wants none of it.

However they are no match for his half-sisters and sister-in-law's matchmaking shenanigans that are constantly throwing them into each others paths.

I really enjoyed Scarlett Scott's continuation of the Winters saga, it was lovely to catch up with all the Winter's siblings and tgeir respective other halfs.

I really should rate this 3 stars due to all of the typos and continuity issues, but since this is my favorite Winters Brother book I’ll leave it at a 4, but reader be warned.

Blade seems the most roguish of the all. He doesn’t want to be attracted to Felicity but he can’t help it. He liked getting under her skin too, but she doesn't realized it and was able to let it pass easier.

There needed to be more of the kitten in the book. If you’re going to introduce a beloved pet it needs to play a prominent role throughout.

Same as the first nine...

What criteria do you use to rate a book? I read the first nine, I read this book, and I'll read the rest. I even paid to pre-order one of them, even though I could read it for "free" through unlimited, mostly just so I would get the reminder when the new one was out. But then I remembered that it really didn't matter, since the plot was exactly the same as the last nine, and decided I wouldn't waste that $3 again. But if the plot was good the first time, I guess it's good in every following book too, right? The truth is, I'm invested in the series, and the repetitiveness hasn't gotten so bad that I can't finish the story. The steamy scenes were great at first, but after so many of exactly the same thing, they are especially boring. I have to admit I skim (if not skip) much of it nowadays. And in this book in particular it became obvious just how lacking in originality these books are - when it flashes back to each of the couples who met in previous books, I realized I couldn't tell a single one apart from another.

Not even sure what else to say because there isn't enough content to talk about. Could they she improve the depth of the characters, or stir up the plot a little? Maybe. But then would I even want to invest the time and effort of keeping up with a real story? For now I will keep coming back, just to enjoy a few mindless minutes before I go to sleep at night.

Now i did thoroughly enjoy the story I think this one dragged for me a little. I feel like the story line needed more excitrment for me. For this reason i gave three stars. Scarlett scott never disappoints in the steam and romance never. Its one of the reasons i have her in my top authors lists. Blade was exceptionally steamy. He held the whole book together for me, bad guy with a bad boy past falling for the good girl. Not so good actually though Felicity has her bad girl side. Honestly the romance was all there i just felt the story lacked. But i did enjoy the other winters meddling and matchmaking it was exciting and i liked the side clips of other past characters as well.

Lackluster. My least favorite of series

While the characters had promise, there wasn't much of a plot. The lack of any tension or obstacles to the HEA left me yearning for more substance.
Spoiler alert (?): Cad meets Lady. Banter is exchanged. Attraction leads to bedding. The two realize they're in love. Marriage. The end.
Other than a spicy love scene and learning Blade's given name, there wasn't much to recommend it. Skip this one. The others in series were better.

Blade Winter is one of the illegitimate siblings of a rich merchant, who left bastards scattered all over the East End, & a ladybird, who Blade escaped from as soon as he could get away from her & her many patrons. He grew up on the rookeries with his other bastard siblings; he is handsome & a rake & they did what they had to for survival. Now he was being sent, by his older brother Dom, to a house party given by the rich, socially accepted legitimate side of the Winter family. He was being sent out of London due to a duel with a lord after he tupped his wife - Blade is not happy to be rubbing elbows with all the nobs but needed to be on his best behavior.

Lady Felicity Hughes is lovely, her father is the Earl of Harding & she eldest of her two sisters. Her father has gambled away all their possessions & she is at the Winter Christmas house party to find a titled gentleman with money so her sisters will have a dowry & become well matched & also help with the debts her father has run up. She always hoped for a love match but now it was her duty to save her sisters & marry before it is too late for them.

Two opposites attract instantly but it just cannot be for either of them. She needs to marry a man with a title & money, a gentleman & that is certainly not Blade Winter. Blade needs to behave himself & not be tempted by a virginal lady, he never wants to marry, doesn't behave gentlemanly like the other nobs at the party & he hates kittens. The humor, the steam, romance, denial of feelings made for a wonderful & steamy Christmas book with wonderful family members - you'll love both sides of the blanket in this family! I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.

This is the tenth book in the series & the third to feature the Winters born on the wrong side of the blanket, it could be read on its own but seriously when a series is this good don’t miss out. Each time I start a new book in the series I think it can’t be as good as the previous one but each time I’m proven wrong. Once again I devoured the book, I loved both Blade (yes we get to know his birth name) & Felicity the chemistry between the pair was beyond electric, I also loved the verbal bantering. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the three other half siblings & can’t wait for their stories especially as the Winter sisters are bent on matchmaking. It was great to catch up with the six couples a year after they all married & for the two factions of the Winters being closer & becoming one very large family. A well written, enthralling read that I read in a sitting & one of my favourites so far.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Scarlett Scott has done it once again. Don't let the fact that this is the 10th book in this series worry you. Scarlett brings each and every character to life and even though you can read each as a stand-alone, we learn more about so many of her characters, relatives or not.

Blade Winter is illegitimate and his father was a wealthy merchant. After growing up in the rookeries, but being united with other half-siblings, Blade found his family who accept one another without judgment. Blade has a somewhat scandalous past and has no idea how his life is about to change.

Enter Lady Felicity Hughes. Although from a titled family, with Lady Felicity being the oldest of 3 daughters, she feels the need to save her family. Her father gambles, but doesn't do well in the Hells. Lady Felicity feels it her duty to marry well, likely foresaking a love match, in order to pave the way for her sisters.

Blade and Lady Felicity meet at a country house party and all I can say is let the games begin. Some say that love at first sight isn't a thing, but this couple may prove them wrong. Odds are against them just due to their stations in life...but there is much to be said about unconditional acceptance. Blade also looked to empower Lady Felicity when others would have her sacrifice in the name of duty.

If you've read Scarlett before, you DO NOT want to miss this. If you are new to reading Scarlett's adventures, cuddle up over the winter and take your pick, or simply read them all...you will not be disappointed!!

Series: The Wicked Winters #10
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Blade Winter has reluctantly been sent to the countryside for a Christmas house party. He expects to be bored during his stay but quickly finds himself attracted to the beautiful Lady Felicity Hughes.

Who knew Blade was secretly a sweetheart? This gruff and dangerous man has a heart of gold that was just waiting to be loved. Blade wants nothing to do with high society or a woman but he can’t resist Felicity. I adored watching him slowly fall in love with Felicity. She brought out a softer side in him and made him want to be a better man. Felicity was a sweet woman who just wanted to help her sisters. She wants to find a man who loves her but her family's situation makes that difficult.

These two had a very intense and steamy relationship that only worked out with the help of the legitimate Winter’s family. I really enjoy seeing the bastard and legitimate Winter’s finally starting to get along and help each other out, especially when it comes to finding their HEAs.

Overall, this was another sweet and steamy romance for the Winter’s. I really liked Blade and can’t wait to see the rest of the Winter’s fall in love.

Ok people, we have another winner!!! This book is soooo good!!!
Blade Winter has a deadly reputation. After a costly mistake leaves him banished to the countryside for a Christmas house party he has no wish to attend, he is furious. Until he finds a beautiful brunette under his bed, and suddenly, the prospect of rusticating in Oxfordshire is not nearly as detestable…
Lady Felicity Hughes must wed to save her family from penury. But before binding herself in a loveless marriage of convenience, she wants one night of passion. Who better to have it with than the wickedly handsome Mr. Winter?
Now Blade is going to risk everything to have a taste of this amazing woman who has capture his attention like no other, and Felicity will stop at nothing to experience passion in the arms of the only man that awaked her desires…
This story is sexy and passionate. Apart from the amazing chemistry between them, my favorite part is that we get to visit all the legitimate Winters and get a good look of the main characters of the following books. I love that there’s a lot of kissing!!!
Amazing reading!!! Enjoy!! I absolutely did it!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Within the first couple of chapters, you have Blade Winter promising his half-brother to stay out of trouble at his Christmas house party, and then turning around and kissing Lady Felicity senseless. So if you want to know how he’s doing with his pledge, that about sums it up! :)

Why are these Winters so charming? I love them all. Blade is handsome, roguishly charming, and absolutely heartwarming. He’s also unapologetic about who he is. Lady Felicity is driven by duty to her family, and torn because what she wants doesn’t match what she believes she must do.

This story comes with all of the amazing chemistry and on-point writing and storytelling you can expect from a Scarlett Scott book. And deliciously, this one offers a lot of glimpses as the Winters from previous books - Dev, Grace, Pru, Christabella, Eugie, and Bea (plus their respective spouses). That was a lot of fun as a reader who has read the entire series in order, and for that reason, even though this is a standalone, I would suggest you start at Book 1 rather than starting here at Book 10.

I was gifted an advanced copy, but all opinions are my own and I definitely think you should read this one. It’s so good!

The tenth book of the Winters series is every bit as good as the previous nine. I loved how Scarlett wove the previous nine books characters seamlessly into this one. It’s always good to see the Winters family evolving and growing. Felicity and Blade are from two different worlds as she needs to marry well to save her family. And Blade is a handsome, possibly dangerous man from the underworld of London. He’s sent to a country house party of his half brothers to keep him out of trouble after a duel in London.
The couple think they will never suit but they seem to keep literally bumping into each other. They have a magnetic attraction and some pretty steamy liaisons for us readers to enjoy. Felicity is a easy, beautiful character to like and Blade is the hot handsome rake turned protector we all dream of. The Winters women enjoy their chance to play matchmakers and make it a fun Christmas love story to remember.
I highly recommend this book and I couldn’t put it down. I voraciously read it in a day. A curl up in your favorite place and enjoy read!

Starring Lady Felicity Hughes and Mr Blade Winters.

Well, this was definitely a fun read. Blade and Felicity have a delicious cat and mouse thing going on trying to resist their insta-chemistry. Their teasing and playful banter had me laughing in a lot of places. I really enjoyed reading about these two.

If you’ve read the previous Winter stories, you will love the reunion of couples from the first 6 books. It was so nice getting a glimpse of their continued HEA.

The Wicked Winters is one of my all time favorite series and I’m just internal squeeeing with anticipation for the next books!! I truly love this world of wonderful characters that Scarlett Scott has created. I love her stories!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily review it and the comments are 100% my own.

My star rating: 4 1/2 stars

A Blade to the heart

Felicity is at the house party to marry well to save her two sisters from poverty! Blade was there because of a duel over a married woman and injuring a Peer! Felicity has lost her cat Miss Wilhelmina who is hiding under Blades bed! Blade loves ankles and hers are in the air along with her bottom! Mindful that he is to stay out of trouble he rescues the cat and sends her own her way and that should be the end of it!?? Except it isn't every encounter with him leaves them breathless and wanting more!! The legitimate Winters decide they will make a lovely couple and throw their own "help" into the mix!!! If they help any more it will be a huge scandal! Felicity mind tel!s her he is a rake and scoundrel but her heart sees good in him that he never shows the world! This one is hilarious! What's a Christmas house party without meddling relatives? The chemistry is amazing!! Do reformed rookery rakes make good husbands....hmmm lets find out!!!

As with all of Scarlett Scott's books this one was teeming with wit, vibrant characters, and steam and Blade and Felicity are the latest lovable duo in her Winter Wicked series of novellas. The series itself is rather less serious compared to her other full-length novels, and yet she always manages to pack a punch.

Blade's meeting of Felicity while her bum is stuck in the air as she coaxes a kitten from under his bed... well it may be far-fetched but the ultimate Scarlett Scott meet-cute. Where Scott usually creates tension based on opposition and rampant sexual attraction (not a complaint, far from it, just a point) Winter's Whisper verges on love-at-first-sight between our two main characters--a change to her usual rhythm that I enjoyed thoroughly.

The characters are bright and fun and sweetly opposite. Where Felicity had been mentioned previously as a vague, vapid sort I was pleased that she had her own story and we could see she was not so simple as all that. Blade... was delicious. I do despise the constant litany of knife-wielding dark angels with a five o'clock shadow and swarthy complexion. A naughty golden Adonis is a welcome change, and Blade was just that: naughty, cursing, contrary, and caring.

The story is light and fun and good! My only complaint is the same one I've had for every one of the series which is that I never enjoy interference from previous characters (via scheming or otherwise) that brings about the characters declaration of affection or decision to be together... and damn those Winter ladies and their meddling! It's a minor complaint, and really only due to my personal taste. I give this lovely book 4 stars as a result, but a very happy 4 stars!

Read this book and enjoy a brief escape! Highly recommend.

Blade has been sent to the country so that he can stay out of trouble. A Christmas house party just happens to be going on at his brother's home at the same time. Blade finds himself surrounded by the people he despises the most...the aristocracy. But then he crosses paths with a brown haired beauty. He knows that she can never be his, but he can't seem to stay away from her.

Felicity must marry. There is no money left in the family coffers, so she is determined to marry for money so that her sisters can marry for love. But when she mets Blade, she is tempted to let her heart lead her astray.

Can the man that planned to never marry and the woman who planned to give up love for her sisters, find their HEA together?

I adored Blade and Felicity's story! I love watching these two together. And the Winter ladies trying to matchmake, had me laughing out loud at their antics! I loved that Blade opened up to Felicity and then made her see that she should find happiness for herself and still not sacrifice herself for her sisters.

We meet the other Winter siblings during this holiday party and I can't wait to see them get their HEA too!

I know I say this every time I read a Wicked Winter Series book, but I LOVE these Winter siblings, I LOVE their stories, I can not wait for more. I do not want them to end. This book was a little extra special to me because a lot of the Winter siblings and their husbands showed up in the book. It was nice to see them all in interactions with their husbands and see how they are accepting their half Winter siblings. This book is about Blade and Felicity who meet at the Holiday party given by the oldest Winter. Blade caught my attention from the first page of this book. “Blade was a connoisseur of ankles. And knives. Not necessarily in that order.” After reading this line, I knew I would enjoy this book. Blade was a tough guy who showed his soft, Gentleman side to Felicity. Felicity accepted him for who he is.
I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion.
