This is an Underworld exclusive. It's a certain type of feel that readers get when they're reading a book based around The Underworld. When asked, most readers said the feeling was indescribable. Malachi Morgan never expected to leave the prison facility that he considered home. Returning to society was a far-fetched dream that he gave up on many years ago. As he predicted, everything had changed and nothing was the same. With the people that he loved the most no longer around, Malachi is forced to sow new roots. Being that the only thing he knew was the streets, Chi has no idea on what to do with his time. Reconnecting with Nasir King meant that he couldn’t sit around idly. Chi is thrusted into Nas’s new power circle of friends and from there, he levels up almost immediately, while finding love along the way. AMBROSIA is a standalone novel that features Underworld member, Malachi Morgan who was first introduced in Please Catch My Soul. To experience this book, it's highly recommended to have read The Underworld series and Son of A Don.

Ambrosia was a journey filled with self-reflection, self-awareness and ultimately self-actualization. Malachi started his journey post prison battered, war weary and unsure of not only of who he was but how he fit into a world he hadn’t been free to experience in a couple decades. His story was relatable and real, showcasing the inner workings of a man knocked down and fighting everyday to keep his head and mind Earthside. He was vulnerable and charismatic with just the right amount of mannish to definitely be the Alpha male we know and love him to be. Nako penned a story filled with a healthy dose of ratchet and righteous that will have you laughing, crying, cursing and cheering all at the same time. Whether you wanna pop a bottle or praise out loud, you will most definitely get your life and lessons in these pages.
4.5✨Ambrosia definitely made me fall in love with Malachi’s character, who was a true lover boy. I always felt something was off with him and Jade, but to see Jade’s downfall was a little sad.. nonetheless Malachi found true love with Isysss. I liked this book a lot, but I was hoping more of the focus was on Chi and Isyss. The King family took over a lot of the story and I’m not sure it was necessary. I did enjoy the gems and thought provoking moments. I’m very shocked about Ramone and Iman. Im glad Chi got the help he needed and the closure, as well. I will say Nas was a great friend to Chi, for sure. On to the next one. ❤️
OMG where do I begin?!?!?! I’m so happy for Malachi! He needed this. He deserved this. He deserved something easy going and passionate. Lauren, my forever fav, deserved this! I’m so happy for her!!! You will not regret buying this book! It’s worth the purchase! I honestly made it up in my mind to buy it if it was $20 or more. I knew that this book was going to be one to remember. I plan on reading it over and over
Ok! First I need to say I cried cause that's what Nako books do to you. Sis was preaching and teaching. I love Chi even more especially with Isyss they was great for one another. I'm so happy Lo Money $ Isyss became good friends. I actually felt bad for Iman this time around, Savona left a nasty taste in my mouth not feeling shorty right now. Nas is still a toxic nigga with his fake wife😒 All I know is Lo better be ok cause she deserves her fabulous ending...... If anything Nas should be the one going through hurt and pain because he caused the most🤷
Mane look! I absolutely positively love when an author is intentional about a title and it’s relevance within the storyline. The way that Nako brought everything together full circle...I AM HERE FOR IT! Sara King’s story is up next and I’m excited for it (just off the preview). Especially if it will answer the question about this mysterious statement that Lo made to Boss at the end of Ambrosia then I’m ready for Sara’s story. And what was even more mysterious than Lo’s statement was Boss’s response, I’m like Wdf!?. Anyways, read Ambrosia. You will like it.
May contain a few spoiler alerts 🚨 What can I say? I forgot how good of a guy Chi is. I loved seeing him learn life outside of those walls while at the same time seeing Isyss evolve not knowing that they would find each other. No matter the story Nasir and Lo always steal the show for me. Really Lo💜. I still just want to see her happy and this is the closest I’ve seen. Boss is a true Boss. When he said forget everything you know about love...whew! I had to forget for Lo because as long as Nas is living you just never know. I hate seeing the men move on and find happiness while the women are still searching. This book was very therapeutic both spiritually and mentally. All of the couples were in the thick of their lives and balancing the throes of marriage. I wasn’t surprised about Nia and East. Ramone surprised me yet Iman did too. It was if she was Jordyn reincarnated. This book was just everything! I know I will end up reading it again a and again. Looking forward to Sara after reading the sneak peak cause man she is blowing me with hard head.
I really like Malachi’s story. I’m proud of Lauren and the steps she is taking to have a better life. I hope Sara realizes she deserves better. Iysis and Chi are good together. I hope Iman will stop being so bitter. Everyone deserves happiness!
You ever read a series that you didn’t want to end. Even though this is fiction Nako has so many real life experiences in this extended series. Always dropping lemons. Welcome home Malachi Morgan! I very happy Chi got his happy ending. Lord please watch over Lo and As always RIP Papa and MJ.
This was so good i loved Chi's story. There were a lot of scenes that i cheered, some i got angry, some i was in my feelings but this book was a great closure for some of the characters and new beginnings for others. I cant wait for more.
As usual Nako never disappoints. I'm so glad that Lauren woke you and purged herself of Nasir. It was well over due... can't wait to read about Lil Miss Sara... Good Job Nako
Nako u tear me down, bring me up and then I creep read because these stories are to be savored sooo slow because you do not want to miss anything! When Malachi Morgan comes home, Nasir is right there! Malachi kept that body tight and adapting to home, no Jade because she checked out and his children. Lo and Nasir are still playing games; However, their daughter Sarah needs them more than ever. Our children do not listen all the time. Inman is shoving Ramone slowly out the door. Issys wants a man and when dealing with her girlfriends, she is slowly. Hanging with her girls while getting older downs nothing for her and when she meets the infamous Malachi Morgan. Nia and East are having their issues with Dr Mighty Moore and one more family that just outgrowing each other. There is soo much juicy, juicy drama, confrontations, healing and forgiveness along with the demons all of the UW team are still in some way addressing issues , fighting or facing them. As Malachi adjusts to be home, his hustle is not lost, his friends are still in his life and love is around the corner for quit a few. Lo met Boss and baby Bosset is born but I’m still secretly wishing.........lo had to check Zori Nasir’s wife and the past has been tossed out the window and I believe it is going to affect Mr King more than he knows. More truths are told and there are some more checks and receipts to be passed out. Brilliantly Written Nako and excellent in given us sooo much . This reader can never get enough, just ready to get this movie going!!!!!!! Love u lady!
Malachi and Isyss has came a long way baby. They had their ups and down and ended up married and expecting a child. The surprise was the termination of Iman and Ramon marriage. They just grew apart and I'm an became mean and hateful as she bossed up. Nasir appeared to be in love with his wife and happy about the birth of his addition to the family. His wife kept him on his toes and was much like Lauren. Lauren and Is yes became sister friends to the end. All of the Cali girls are now in relationships. Lauren and Boss were a good couple and he encouraged her and helped Lauren realize her dreams. More is needed on them, will they marry. Sara is about to lose her mind. Is her trifling child friend/boyfriend really dead? Lauren and Nadir will come to her rescue. Please send boss with Lauren. This twas so good, I had to reread certain chapters again. Nano did an excellent job. Malachi has certainly grown up since being married to Jade.
Out of all the men Malachi was my favorite and the one I wanted to see find true love. Lauren is still the MVP and deserve true love too. I hope to see more from her and Boss. Isyss better take good care of my babe. He’s been through so much with Jade that I just want him loved on. I’m glad Romane dropped Imani, she was toxics and miserable as .... Glad he ended up with someone whom he vibes with and it was organic. Nia ass need to sit the hell down, and breathe. So glad East finally chose himself rather than stay in a marriage that’s been dead for years. Nasir King still an asshole. I guess I’m glad he’s doing right by Zori, but he’d owed that to Lo 10 times over. So happy Lo is finally done with his ass. I hope Zori leave him high and dry. Overall great book, my only issue is it was too short lol. Great job Nako!
I absolutely loved this book. Seeing the growth in the characters since the demise of the UW is a pleasure. Chi deserved all he got and more! He was one of the most wholesome, humble, and sweet men in the UW. Honestly, Jade didn’t deserve him which is why she didn’t value him. Nako is truly anointed and you can tell by the church scenes she writes! This was an amazing read and the entire story comes together (the meaning of the title included) by the end of the story!
Everything I expected and more . I’m glad Chi is home but Lo Money boss up was everything to me . I still love ❤️ Nas but so happy she got her a boss. Iman is on my list of people I can’t stand glad Ramon freed himself . I need to hear more about Jade . Can’t wait for Sara’s story I’m sure her mother will be featured.
The reason for the 4 stars is because although was amazing. I felt like Lo and Nas overshadowed Malachi and Isyss. I mean if you are in the book with those two prepare to be second. I really enjoyed Malachi's journey and glad he found love again. After dealing with Jade I thought he would become a dog but he is still a good man with BDE.
I really enjoyed this book. Very well written. I was happy that Malachi made it home. Prison really had him going through it and he just needed some form of peace and redemption at making things right for himself. I loved the connection between him and Isyss. They were both experiencing a first when it came to having a relationship, for Isyss it was actually falling in love and for Chi it was finding love again. Although they had their flaws, nothing was stopping Chi from capturing this woman's heart and showing her what a real man does for the woman he loves and wants to build with. This book covered so many topics, from Marriage, Divorce, Mental Illness, Growth, Accountability, Forgiveness, Happiness and New Beginnings. What you get from this book and the characters is that they all were dealing with their own personal issues at some point in their lives but they realized that they can either let those issues consume them or they can get on their grind and level up to being the best they know how to be. Thank you Nako for giving us Chi's story. Can't wait to read Sara's story.
Let’s just say that Demi and Papa was my favorite couple but these book then mess that up. I wish Nas would slap some sense into Sara. Let grow the hell up and realize you a boss bitch but then again it took Lo forever to realize she’s on as well. Ramone finally found happiest that he needed. Iman was just to Insecure and she pushed him right into the arms of JJ’s sister. I’d love to see what happens to Boss and Lo. And what the hell Lo means she’s sick??? Don’t come killing her off enough people from the underworld has died already. Nas let a good one gone smh. I like Chi and Isyss relationship. So Papa wasn’t happy with Demi? Or was that just a blow to hit her buttons. I wish Papa would be alive somewhere that would be bomb. FYI I never like Sean for Lo. Hopefully Tati grown up and see what love is. I hated to Nia and East get a divorce but she was always in love with her career. This book thought me that a man needs to feel needed even if your a boss as bitch.
I can say every Underworld related story I read I end up wanting more! So much happened in this novel! Iman didn't realize what a good God fearing man she had so she lost him. Malachi was a once broken man but came home to really grow and heal and found his true love, Isyss. Lauren Howard finally was freed from the hold Nasir had on her enough to let real love find her, Boss, he was there to restore love and happiness! Sara, hopefully she will finally see the light and get it together, looking for her story! Zoria and Nasir King hopefully will remain, not sure if Nas will ever truly let go but as long as Lauren has its his loss not hers. I felt like she gave him too many chances to play with her heart anyway! Oh and Demi, she will never be a part of them ever again, she was childish and foul! Some of these relationships will never mend but glad for all who found love again! Hopefully Nako will continue to give us cameos of them in future projects!
Absolutely LOVED this book..I thought u loved Son of a Don (which I do) until I read this book. Jesus, your pen game is INSANE Nako and I think I speak for a lot of your tribe when I say we Love You and Appreciate your gift. Your books always Bless Me abundantly and I think you rounded everything up perfectly. I’m happy for Chi..Ge really deserve to get to where he is now. My girl Lo Money..man...I adore her and I’m content with the direction she was led in ❤️..and BIG SHOUT-OUT to you for keeping the train running. The underworld is over but I love how you are still giving us life through your novella’s and standalones where we can get glimpses of our favorite Characters a.k.a OUR FAMILY. Thank you 🙌🏾 PS: if you haven’t read don’t hesitate to dive in..totally worth the Love Jones
This book is unbelievable and extraordinary to say the least. Having to read about Malachi what he had to endure while he was in prison but for him to get the opportunity to be released was monumental. I honestly feel like Malachi did not deserve anything that he experienced but in Ambrosia he got to experience life like he was suppose too. Beside Malachi story, there were other moments in this story that was must needed. Some moments you want to cry, scream, shout and just hug your love ones. So many emotions tied into this book which makes it a page turner. Nako pen game is not like anyone else. For Underworld be established in 2016 and 4 years later, her fans are wanting more and she delivers. Never underestimate your craft. My favorite quote. “Ask him what his favorite meal in D.C. is.”
I absolutely loved this book from cover to cover. When Lauren was going through and praying and talking to God I cried like a baby. Nako’s books always touch something in my spirt, she drops so many jewels that always touch your heart, mind and spirt. You won’t regret buying this book or reading it. This book is amazing as all the others. I love the characters I wanted to smack Iman on so many occasions on how she did her husband. She was so disrespectful, no man wants to be belittled and not lifted up especially in his own home. She didn’t take responsibility for where they ended up at. I hope that all the characters that were in ambrosia end up in the next book. Forever The UnderWorld#
It's so much I want to say but I'm too filled to say it. This book was emotionally and spiritual. The characters who survived the Underworld are still trying to find themselves and get back to normalcy. Lo will ALWAYS be my favorite character. Nas has taken her through so much and I still want to see them together but I think she is finally fed up. Glad Malachi found his love he deserved it. Sara looks like she following in her Mama footsteps being a fool in love. Ramone was unhappy but I hope he finds his happiness. I have a feeling Iman is going to come out on top being a Boss. Great read!
Ambrosia by definition is the essence of life!!! These characters have all touched my heart in special ways since the first Underworld novel. Malachi touched my soul in various ways. The quiet, poised, understated Boss. Isyss the cold hearted beauty with a shaky past. When the 2 link up.... Passion flows freely. Malachi and his devotion to his brother Papa was everything!!! Even deceased legacy is powerful!!! Made my day when he had the altercation with Demi's snitching self. How dare she believe that anyone owes her anything!!! Great, Fantastic and absolutely everything that makes an Underworld book complete.
So I have a few things to say about Ambrosia. There is something to be said about Isyss and Lo’s friendship ❤️❤️. It brought back memories of my “seasoned “ friend who schooled me and I was forever grateful for her pearls of wisdom that I received. My friend has transitioned but soon as I realized what I was reading I screamed out “I MISS MY FRIEND”. Now, Chi did not disappoint. Nothing like a man that is done with the BS. My husband was 35 when we met and there was not one lie told. Lo, my goodness. I never liked how she was treated, but she can truly say, HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW😎😎💃🏽💃🏽
Ok once again Nako did the damn thing. I love love all of her books. When I'm finish reading I'm always upset because I'm always looking for another one of her books that I haven't read and there is none. But anyway I'm so glad Ramon left Iman bitchy ass. She made me miserable everytime she opened her mouth. I love Lauren and I'm hoping we get more of her and Boss story in the next book.
This book like all the rest of Nako books was great I read it in 2 and half days and if I didn't have to work I would have finished it in 1 day. Looking forward to Sara's story.
I loved reading this book because after reading son of a Don I knew that this book was coming out.I am glad that Malachi got his life together after he came home from prison he got a second chance at life.I also like how some of the characters story lines were finished up like Lauren it seem like she found a good man to treat her right.ramone got his home life straighted out.but the best part to me is the scriptures that nako puts in her books very inspiring to me.I have read all of her books especially the underworld series so I am looking forward to her next book about Sara , nas and Lauren's daughter.
Nako! Girl, what are you doing to me!?! This book was life! Hoeny honey honey you did that! I wanted to take my time because i hate when your books end but at the same time i did not want to put it down because it was fire! I quick fast ina hurry pre -ordered my paper back copy. I miss being in your reading group i know its the place to be right now. I know the ladies are going crazy! And what does Lo mean shes sick??? Also i know in the group you said Saras story is the last of the underworld but could we please get a boss and Lo book? Anywho this book gets 10 stars !!! Looking forward to getting my signed copy. Congrats Nako on another hit book!
I’m so happy Lauren finally found love and finally after 20 years of Chasing a man like Nasir King whom lead her on and got married twice had kids on Lauren broke her heart so many times. 20 years . She finally let that confused fool of a man Nasir King go for good and bossed up on him with her new babe Name Boss. Malachi is finally happy in love end marriage for the second time and his heart is still healing but he’s free of negative spirits and letting go through demons in his mind when he was away in prison for almost 20 years of hell . God had set him free to find love .
