Pack of Brothers #3

Fated: Wolf and the Lion

Rate this book
An omega whose never had a heat.

Even in a pack as diverse and quirky as his own, wolf shifter Sage has always been the odd-one out. He’s an adult omega whose never experienced a single heat. But that’s okay with him—he’s content being the funny uncle and the annoying yet lovable youngest brother. That’s enough for him… Right?

When his first heat finally strikes, everything changes. His trusting nature leads him into a dangerous situation—and is saved by a stroke of fate.

The scent of his fated mate.

An alpha whose never had a family.

Xander has always been alone. He left home young, as all mountain lion shifters do, but Xander had another reason to run. His fathers, a mountain lion and a wolf, never got along. He’s convinced their pairing was a mistake—that all pairings are. As much as he wants a baby, he’s never going to risk giving a child an unhappy home.

Bad luck follows Xander everywhere. When he runs across a thorny situation, he’s forced to save a stranger, an omega wolf with a smile bigger than his brain. But when that alluring scent comes wafting off him, Xander refuses it.

It’s not possible for a wolf to be his fated mate. Two predators of different species can’t be fated mates. And there’s no way an irritating little omega is going to prove him wrong.

Fated: Wolf and the Lion is a 45,000 word book with plenty of fluffy and steamy scenes, mpreg, low angst, no cliffhangers and a HEA as usual! It is the third in the Pack of Brothers series and best read in order.

This was an easy, fast read. I was looking for fluffiness and it was quite delivered. I wanted more cuteness and swooning, though, but this was still great :)

I really feel bad for Sage, why does everyone likes to be mean and ignores him. Even Xander. Sage is just hyperactive and curious one, let him be… Lucky me, that particular feeling was eventually resolved. I was about to throw hands to Remmy. And Xander’s dick has sensitive barbs , yum! :P hehe Overall, this was cute and easy :)

Book 3 of the Pack of Brothers series.

Sage is not your typical Omega. Yes he's an attractive, funny (at least to himself) and sweet, if a bit of an airhead, omega wolf, but he's in his 20's and never experienced a heat. He begins to think of himself negatively until the night his heat does suddenly appear. Poor Sage doesn't know what's going on. But mountain lion alpha shifter Xander recognizes it in a heartbeat and when he stumbles upon Sage its all he can do to ignore his urges. Because Xander doesn't want a mate. And even though his heart is telling him Sage is his, he fights against it.

I liked this story a bit more than the first three. It had a bit of drama in it, not much, this is still a very fluffy story, but enough to be interesting. And I liked the dynamic of scatterbrained and light hearted Sage with stuffy, stoic Xander.

A solid 3.25.

A mountain lion & a wolf are fated mates? What was fate thinking!

This series keeps getting better! I love the diversity of this pack of brothers and their mates. The pack continues to collect strays, absorbing them into their whole. This story is a continuation, so please read the first two books! This segment follows the omega wolf brother, Sage, through his first heat, and the meeting with his fated mate. Mountain lion Xander wants a family, he just never expects to get one. But Fate has other ideas.
On their journey to HEA, Xander & Sage find love, and manage to reunite a long lost family. You will absolutely love this book!
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

Sage has always been my favorite character in the FATED series. He is so funny and upbeat. With so much going on in the country today you really need some escapism fiction. And while there are some dangerous situations in this book, it's mostly full of humorous situations.

Sage is such a sweetie its hard to be mad at him definitely annoyed though, according to his brothers and other pack members. It was so nice to really get to know Sage. For him to have the wishes he wanted come true. Finding a fated mate who doesn't believe in fated mates is a real lesson in patience, persistence, and possibility.

I found this story so amusing. I laughed out loud on many occasions or found myself smiling at the repartee. I definitely will be re-reading this book.

These books are so sweet and easy to read.
I love the pack of different types of animal shifters and how they care about each other.

This one is about the third brother Sage.
He's so innocent and pure and I love how he just says what he's thinking. But what separates him the most from other Omegas is that he hasn't had one heat yet. But that is about to change when mountain lion shifter Xander enters the picture. Sage is the perfect one for that big, grumpy cat.

Loved the bonus about the twin brothers.

Overall I give the series 3.5 stars.

Three wolf brothers who find there fated mates in different species. Two Alphas and one Omega. The world is set where humans are unaware that shifters exist but live among them undetected. Unsure of the time frame but the "pack" lives in a wildlife preserve, that part of the story in every book through me but I guess it worked. Some parts of the stories lacked imagination and other parts were well written. I wonder will Red, Remington, Nero and his twin get stories also???

This is the 3rd book in pack of brothers series. Of course the best one is the last one. Sage is someone that you just want to cuddle and squeeze. He has such a innocence about him. His brothers found their fated and when he meets Xander his feeling and heat going wacky.
How to get old mountain lion to accept him his Sage goal. This was sweet and funny journey
If you love reading books about shifters this is the series for you with their mix shifters mates

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sage and Xander’s story offers a delightful mix of heart and humor. Sage, the lovable oddball omega who’s never experienced a heat, and Xander, the guarded alpha mountain lion with a complicated past, create a compelling contrast. Sage’s boundless optimism and Xander’s resistance to fate make their journey full of tension and emotional discovery. Xander’s reluctance to believe in happiness is heartbreaking, but Sage’s warmth and determination to prove that love can be worth the risk make this pairing shine. Their HEA is sweet and deeply rewarding.

When I thought this book will be predictable but it was definitely not. Their romantic relationship although happened fast, but I liked it because Sage was so endearing, a rare creature. Cheerful, naive with an upbeat personality. Perfect for jaded person like Xander who was cynical about fated mates.

Great read

This was a good adder the series. It was hard on the beginning of the book to love Sage. He was so annoying and immature, but as the book went along saw that he was perfect for Xander. Remington went a little too far, but I believe there's a story, and eagerly awaiting it. I love them finding Nishiki and Nero, and I'm curious as to how they will fit into everything.

This book had totally warmed my heart. Xander and Sage were so perfect for each other, and I just loved Sage's personality. I really appreciated that the cast of characters were listed in the beginning of the story, since I do tend to forget them after a certain amount of time passes. The plot was sweet and the ending was very satisfying. The writing was also very well done.

Lion and Wolf fated mates

I'm so happy that Sage found his fated mate. His upbeat, sunny personality is the perfect compliment to the slightly more serious, Xander. Visiting the rest of the mixed pack and meeting new friends was just the icing on the top. I'm very much enjoying this series and can't wait to see what adventures are next. Definitely worth reading!

All fated

The Pack of Brothers trilogy was great. Sage being the youngest brother and only omega would have his story best. (Haha) Again mate met through protection but that's fantastic. Now I just want to see, Remington's and Red's stories. Do they find their mates too?

I just wanted to say....

I just adore this series. Every book! Sage was just as precious in this one as the others. Xander really balances him out and vice versa.

I can’t wait for and upcoming books, especially for Remington and Red.

If you've made it to the 3rd book of the series then you already know the gig, sweet, funny, cute, & low angst. I haven't found myself getting bored at all as the plot lines do seem to be getting a little more advanced with each book and I'm excited to read about the next coupling.

I just adore Sage!

I know Sage is known as the 'naive one's, but I truly adore him. One of the things I love about this series is all the different types of shifters.

The youngest

Sage is the youngest so he often is over protected. When his heat comes on, his brothers run Xander off. Sage sets his foot down.
