It’s all anecdotes that basically sum up my views in teaching.

This was something that I picked up after a rough student teaching placement where I read one of these anecdotes a day, and the words of encouragement helped remind me why I fell in love with teaching and the teaching profession in the first place. Highly recommend for any teacher who needs a pick-me-up, anyone going into teaching, or anyone that works in education.

I didn't love it. Yes, we're there for the kids. We want them to succeed, but we deserve a moment's peace and to hear that it is OK to not be positive about everything. Toxic positivity *is* an issue in schools. Telling teachers who are exhausted, stressed, and unsupported to just choose to build stronger relationships and be proactive and positive isn't actually helpful.

Johnson shows an insight that most administrators don't take the time to acknowledge. This is an encouraging read for teachers.

Awesome little anecdotes and stories to refill the cup of a teacher who needs a little extra in their own cup.
