This was everything I love about this series: great friendships, fun mystery, a bit of light magic and action, and character growth. This one had me tearing up quite a bit - both in joy and in sadness. All the FEELS!

As the cover suggests, this book is the long-awaited wedding between our favorite witch Holly and her dog-shifter fiancé, Adam. I loved the wedding planning elements of this - Holly took her time getting ready to make this step and now they're pushing along and we (along with Holly) are starting to see one of the underlying reasons she may have been dragging her feet a bit. And as you begin to understand, the waterworks begin (at least for me, who can easily empathize with her situation). And, of course, Adam's parents are in town for the wedding - which is always interesting.

Meanwhile, things have come along with their Inn and I'm loving seeing their business up and running. The excitement for this book comes with Lacey who booked their Inn to hold a vampire meeting. Lacey wasn't exactly forthcoming, though, and what seemed would be a casual event is actually very tense and gets a bit explosive. This is where the mystery and action center in and sparks do fly! It was great seeing Lacey again as well.

And then there's the friendships and character growth - which are actually huge parts of the wedding (planning and event) as well as Lacey's vampire meeting. But other developments loom large throughout the book, from Posey and Earl's return from their ghost vacation to Harmony's studying to be a potion master. It was just great and yep, tears!

I, of course, listened to this one as I have the whole series. I say of course, because Amanda Ronconi is the narrator and I pretty much never miss an opportunity to listen to her. She delivers the humor and personalities perfectly. I look forward to listening to more from this series... I hope there's more, at least. The way it ended could be the perfect segway into more, or a really good series ending. Yikes, I hope it's former!

The Inn is up and running, wedding plans are proceeding, and now, they await the arrival of a party of aristocratic vampires. Holly is back to juggling her life in the latest adventure in this fun paranormal cozy mystery series.

Review:
Men Love Witches is the eleventh in the Beechwood Harbor Magic series and, it appears anyway, that it is the last in a series of books that work best when read in order.

Holly and Adam have started taking in guests at the old mansion that they have turned into an inn. Some of the quirky issues are not simply bridezillas because the paranormal antics of some guests force them to step up their game. Besides the inn, Holly is struggling to find the perfect wedding dress even while other aspects of the wedding planning are going great- okay, other than the dreaded dinner with the in laws. Chief and Cassie are looking forward to their little Baby Lincoln any moment. Harmony is stressing over her Potion Masters’ certification. And, Holly is getting a bad feeling about Posey their former ghost hostess. But, what really stirs them all up is when Lacey and her vampire guests seem to be planning more than to relax at the beautiful inn and the beaches. A powerful vampire artifact goes missing so Holly and the gang need to find it before it lands in the wrong hands.

This felt like a final book, but I saw on the author's website there is one more. Holly touched base with so many of the people she has met over the course of the series, did a lot of reminiscing, made peace with her past, said good-bye to a dear friend, and confronted an old nemesis. It felt nostalgic and I teared up a few times. I would not complain if there were way more adventures in Beechwood Harbor, but things are coming to a close. At least there are still Scarlett and her ghost crew and a new magical town and heroine in the author’s newest series.

Men Love Ghosts felt gentler and had less excitement than past books. It slowed things down and there were a lot of feels. Not, that there wasn’t that grand exciting moment near the end, but this one’s focus was definitely on grander schemes. That end was bittersweet and lovely. And, all through this one, Adam was a total swoony groom to be. He did so many special things for Holly. Lucky gal!

Amanda Ronconi continues to be stellar as the series narrator. She had a huge crowd of characters with all the regulars and the group of vampire guests that had various accents, but she did fab.

I enjoy this lighter series of paranormal mysteries and the group of familiar characters and small town Beechwood Harbor. Definitely recommend.

This one was good, the ending was pretty emotional 🥲🥲. Once you got past the vampire story line and focused on Holly’s wedding to Adam it was a wonderful story of the characters coming full circle.

This one seemed to be separated into 2 parts, we have the drama with the vamps and the wedding that has been a long time coming.

It was nice to see Lacey back, but things weren't all that great for her. I liked what she was trying to do with the vamps and how getting everyone on board made sense. But there were some that were so against change. Of course everything came out on the open and the "bad" vamps are getting theirs, always a good thing.

The wedding part was interesting. At first we were still in the planning stages, but getting close. I was unsettled that 8 weeks out, Holly still didn't have her dress. Things worked out there in the best possible way! I also loved how Adam was able to show Holly that even though her family wasn't here, they were still thought about.

The last bit at the end was bittersweet. This change needed to happen, even if I didn't want it to.

This is a Witch Cozy Mystery, and this is the 11th book in the Beechwood Harbor Mystery series. I have to say this is not my favorite book in this series. I just felt there was so much going on and it was rushed. I love the characters in this book, and I am happy to say Holly married. This is a great series, and I do not think this is a great book to read by itself. I feel you need to have read the other books in this series to pick up a lot of things in this book.

Men Love Witches opens with the Adam, Holly and the Inn doing well. They are preparing to host former housemate, Lacey, and her secretive vampire council meeting. Additionally, it’s just weeks before her wedding, and Holly still hasn’t found a dress.

As the eleventh book in this paranormal cozy series, Men Love Witches will be familiar to fans, yet it still brings a few surprises. Holly is busy with life, but when Lacey’s powerful necklace goes missing, she rearranges things to help solve the mystery. I enjoyed watching the gang work together to help their friend and potentially save Beechwood Harbor, again.

Men Love Witches definitely felt like the last book, but according to other review blogs, there is another coming. The author manages to wrap up a few ongoing storylines, and there are some highly emotional scenes. There are a few things out there that I feel the author has neglected follow up with, so I hope she touches on them in the final tale.

Narration: As always, Holly and her friends are brought to life through the performance of Amanda Ronconi, who has consistently done a wonderful job. Her interpretation of Holly is always spot on. Ms. Ronconi convincingly portrays Holly’s thoughts, concerns, and expressions. Her voices are all well-suited, and she gives paranormals their own fitting voices. However, I notice that as the cast gets larger, some of the characters start sounding similar, but due to writing, I can usually tell them apart.

Overall, I loved the story, and how it’s wrapping up so many threads. Men Love Witches is a cozy mystery, but it is more about all the changes in Holly’s life. It is a very heart-felt love letter to fans.

My Ratings:
Story: A-/B+
Narration: B+

Holy bat wings, this book took me on an emotional roller coaster!

If I were to re-read just one book in the series, it would be this one. I haven’t even finished the series, still one more book left to go, but my goodness was the good. Bittersweet, but good.

I cried a few different times in the end. It was precious seeing everyone so happy but something happened that tore my heart to shreds. 😭 it was a happy and peaceful moment, and one that made sense, but it hurt to read.

Friends…one more book in Holly’s series and then I’m done! 12 books later. Sigh. I knew the end would come eventually but I’m not ready for it.

Let’s go on one last journey with Holly, Adam & friends, shall we?

This one I enjoyed with its different plot. They were starting to get into a rut, but this one was not the same as the others. I liked the ending!!

However, I didn’t enjoy the introduction of homosexuality. Thankfully it didn’t go anywhere and was just a mention, although a totally unnecessary mention!!

Our witch Holly is busy, busy, busy. She’s helping Harmony’ prepare for her master potion test, while running the Starfire Apothecary. The Beechwood Inn is booked for the weekend too, Lacey and her husband Matthis have reserved Beechwood Inn. They are hosting top secret meetings with the Lords of several Vampire Courts. All of this while preparing for her wedding.

Oh, this was choc full of suspense and shenanigans. A valuable and powerful jewel goes missing during the Vampire gathering, and unless Holly solves the mystery and locate the jewel, they could be a paranormal war on their hands. Posy & Earl return home too, and they have news.. Is Holly ready to handle it?

Garrett quickly pulled me into the story and I found myself invested in the different threads. The vampires made for an awkward weekend and the case was an interesting one. I laughed, cried and enjoyed the goings on. Adam has always been sweet, but what he did at the end made me weep.

Things are wrapping up with this series, which makes me sad. Thankfully, we have the other series set in the same world.

These stories are narrated by Amanda Ronconi and she has really become the voice of Holly Bolt and the others. At just under six hours, the Beechwood Manor stories are perfect for audio. From pacing to unique voices, Ronconi adds another layer of enjoyment to these cozy mysteries. This review was originally posted at Caffeinated Reviewer

No murders this time, just some mysterious goings on when a secret vampire meeting, led by Lacey (one of the roommates in the first books of the series) is held at the Inn. A lot of the book is taken up with preparations for Holly and Adam's wedding. This was a nice entry, but would not work as a standalone.

Lacey has booked the inn for a sort of vampire meeting that turns into a disaster when the pendant she’s been wearing goes missing. Turns out the pendant holds powers of its own and now Hollys got to help find it while still running her potions shop and prepare for her quickly approaching wedding. Man, I am typing this through tears. I was not prepared for how emotional the end of this book was going to be, especially after how lighthearted most of this series has been. Adam is possibly the sweetest man to exist in book world and I’m so excited to see holly and Adam start a new chapter in their lives.

Well what a whirlwind of emotions the penultimate book of the series put me through, there was laughter, tears, joy, and yes more tears but most of them happy ones. There was no murder to solve in this one but still a mystery to investigate and I actually got the right person for once which was cool. It was great to see some old characters return and see how their lives have moved on since leaving the harbor and the ending was just perfect for my romantic heart.

It's six weeks until Holly and Adam's wedding, and Holly's got a case of the jitters. Of course that could be because she has a house full of royal vampires out for blood. Can Holly and friends help keep the peace between the arguing vampires and will Holly finally make it down the aisle?

With her wedding only weeks away Holly is busy planning for her big day, but she's still to find that perfect dress and time is running out. Add in the fact she is hosting her old roommate Lacey and her Conclave of vampires and you can ratch up the tension to a twelve. Things go from bad to worse when a powerful artifact is stolen from Lacey which could broker a peace between the vampires and the rest of the magical world. It's a race against time to find the culprit and luckily Holly and the gang are on hand to help with the investigation. Now I've pretty much read all the books I love just how much Holly has come into her own and grown for the better throughout each book. Yes I adore my girl and looking forward to seeing how her adventures end.

And Adam is still an absolute sweetheart, from being a literal shoulder for Holly to cry on when her emotions gets the better of her, to organising some wonderful surprises for her leading up to and on their wedding day. And let me tell you not only did he melt my heart but made me dissolve into a blubbering mess. God I love this man.

It was fantastic to see Lacey again and to see just how much she has changed from the entitled, bratty vampire she once was. It was wonderful to see that finally her and Adam have a close relationship like brother and sister and although they still tease each other it's more out of respect than hate. It was great to see her so settled (which reminds me I have to read her standalone story at some point) but that doesn't mean I'd pick a fight with her any time soon as she's still as fiery as ever.

I'm off to read the final book and I already know there be crying involved, but I can't wait to see how Holly's story wraps up. As much as I've loved all the books in the series this one is definitely my favourite by far. So if you love a cozy mystery involving witches, shifters, werewolves and ghosts check out this series today. I know you won't regret it. Highly recommend 😁

While juggling wedding plans, Harmony’s master potion test and keeping Starfire Apothecary going, you would think Holly would have enough on her plate. Not this witch. Her former roommate, vampire Lacey, Lady Vaughan now, has reserved Beechwood Inn for the weekend & it involves top secret meetings with the Lords of several Vampire Courts that rule vast sections of vampire territory. Lacey and her husband, Matthias arrive, along with the other invited vampires who are not keen on staying at an inn with non-vampires. Neither is Harmony, Holly’s assistant who decides to stay in Seattle Haven with her sister for the duration, especially after hearing the vampires arguing heatedly at their meeting. All caught up now? Wait, there’s more! Posy & Earl return but something is bothering Posy. The vampire, Jewel Moldor, who was convicted of glamouring beings to gather an army has gotten a slap on the wrist & may be involved in whatever is troubling Lacey and the others. When a valuable and powerful ancient jewel Lacey was going to use to bargain with the Haven Council to get rid of the rebel vampires disappears, more than all Hell breaks loose. This could mean war between vampires and the other paranormals. Holly takes on more and more responsibility as her friends gather around her to fight for the world they know and love. In the end, will the wedding take place and will Posy and Earl be there for it?
This story is a wonderful & thrilling adventure that tests every relationship that has begun and grown in this series. At the end, I was in tears and that rarely happens with me. Don’t miss this one.

A fun and entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series

A fun and entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and a fun and spectacular storyline. Holly Bolt was a young witch we thought she was in love with a great guy he turned out to be a crooked lowlife scumbag. It basically ruined her life or so if she thought. She was a witch trying to get her potion masters license and her boyfriend turned out to be a crook who drug her into his mess and nearly got her thrown in jail as well as him. Instead she was kicked out of the magic haven of Seattle and forced to live in a halfway house in a little town called Beachwood Harbor. The halfway house was at home to supernatural Miss Fitz and the landlady was a ghost. These are the adventures of Holly and her new roommates and soon to be friends and their antics in life over the past couple ears as they all straighten their lives out and turn their lives around. Soon Holly falls in love, meats more people, gets her potion masters license, opens her potion shop in the Seattle Haven and still lives in Beachwood harbor with her fiancé and other friends. An extraordinary group of characters that fit well together and will entertain you. The characters in the story draw you into it and you feel like you were part of it as you read along. You will not be disappointed, so read on.

Enter the long awaited wedding and then the vampire conclave comes along and bogs down the story. The happiest day of Holly and Adams life is been pushed to the back burner and Lacey takes over the book.

Lacey is a great character but her story lines are lack luster at best and it gets drags and once she exits the main stage the story picks up. Holly's story about the wedding and the prep seemed to be their as a prop instead of the main event that it should have been. Not having her mother there and the issues that it brought up where swept under the carpet and the fact that now is the time to bring in the aunt the wanted nothing to do with her.

Posey leaving for good and no Holly is having to deal with the loss of her mother and the ghost she began to see as a mother turned into a non event to a boring and drawn out story is wrong and really drops the rating but the emotional ending brought it back to the quality it should have been from the start and never made it any progress. This book seems to be a rush job to move on and the big event is having Holly and Adam married and now the arc is completed and Lacey's story is wrapped and not having to write another Lacey book.

It’s only 6 weeks until Holly and Adam’s wedding and she’s still looking for a dress as time runs out. And she also has an inn full of Vampires – Lacey and other high-powered vamps are there for an important meeting. Then there is the mystery – someone has stolen a powerful artifact from Lacey that could ruin any idea of peace between the vampires and the rest of the world.
There are a lot of suspects, plans within plans, tensions are running high. Holly and her friends set out to find the thief before things get worse while she is still working on her wedding.
This book has the nice mystery, great characters and interactions, humour, surprises, and tension.
This is the normal quick, easy, enjoyable read I’ve come to expect from these books. Only one left to go and I will be sad to see the end.

Now that their home is finally open as a B&B, Holly and Adam are playing host to a vampire council, one specifically arranged by their old housemate, Lacey Vaughn. But the super-secret meeting isn't going so well. First, the powers that have gathered can't agree how they should work together. Then Harmony (who was already a little jittery around vampires) sees someone skulking in the shadows and she's pretty sure it's an old foe. Then, a valuable item goes missing. All of this craziness and she's planning a wedding and meeting Adam's parents again. Well, most of the planning is going well bt she just can't seem to find a a dress and the wedding is only six weeks away.
A fun little story that I think regular readers of the series will enjoy.

Well, I had hoped for more. I was looking forward to Lacey‘s return but it - she - felt off. Apparently, there’s a lot backinfo from other books and without that, there was a serious disconnect. Also a pity was that her story didn’t even feel as if it got closure and she was completely left out of the end, which was just wrong.
Then there was no murder to solve in this murder mystery. Another minus point, I’m just not that into cases without bodies. Especially as the replacement case just made no sense at all and was boring.
The best part was probably the wedding, which was nice, but the road there … Again, I expected more.
It all did feel more like a last book but as there’s still one to go, I‘m curious to see what’s to come for the final.

Holly is busy with her shop, the inn and her wedding. Holly and Adam will have their hands full when Lacey comes to stay with some vampires. Things don't go as they had hoped. Holly will also have to dealing her feelings over her family. Holly and the others will also have to deal with some news that will break their hearts.

This book was really good. There is so much I didn't write about as I wont' spoil it You will see Holly dealing with so many issues as her wedding is coming closer. This author will have you on an emotional rollercoaster in this book. You will need some tissues for this book. I really am excited for more from this author

I’m getting teary-eyed, having just finished reading this book! So many emotions throughout this book! Holly and Adam are finally getting married and Lacy returns with a group of royal vampires! Someone stole something from Lacy and it’s up to Holly and the gang to find out who it was before all hell breaks loose. Hopefully Holly can juggle finding this item and not lose out to some scary Spoiled Vamps! This is the second to last Book in the series and it’s nice to see Holly finally get married to Adam. We also had to say goodbye to an old friend which was harder than I thought it would be. I can’t wait to see how everything comes together in the final book of the series.

I really enjoyed this book - read it in one afternoon!

Holly and Adam's wedding is fast approaching, and Holly’s got the jitters. She and Adam now own the house as a B&B and their prior roommate, Lacey Vaughn had brought a house full of vampires for a tension-filled visit and meetings. These royal vampires are out for blood.

It was a great story, held you on the edge of your seat for a good portion of it, and tied up some loose ends with their gang of paranormals in Beechwood Harbor.

One more book in the series and I hate to see it end - but there may be some crossover action in the future with some of the author's other series.

Not my usual genre of book but I found this series because I was looking for books narrated Amanda Ronconi and I thought 'what the heck, I'll give it a try'. Well, I am so grateful I did. The stories are fun, the characters are interesting, and more importantly, the stories evolved and the writer matured the characters as the series moved forward. I often get frustrated when characters remain the same from book to book and as a result lose interest in the story line. FORTUNATELY, that isn't how Danielle Garrett managed this series. The character's maturing throughout the series made the stories more interesting and kept me engaged throughout.

Lots going on in this book - Holly and Adam are embracing their new life, getting ready to tie the knot. The Manor, no longer a boardinghouse, is now an Inn run by Holly and Adam and their latest guest is former roommate vampire Lacey, along with her wealthy and influential guests. When a pendant goes missing with potential dire consequences, Holly and the gang kick it into high gear to solve this one in time for the wedding. Rounding off the book is a bittersweet goodbye to an old friend - you don't want to miss this one.

Wedding bells and vampires

Six weeks until their wedding and Lacey brings a troupe of vamps to the manor for a super secret meeting. Tensions are high and Holly still doesnt have a dress. Then Posey and Earl come back home with some heavy news. And Holly gets a surprise she never expected.

This is one heck of a ride. Things seem to be slowing winding down in Beechwood Harbor. Happy endings are right around the corner. Saying goodbye is never easy and this one brought tears to my eyes!
