If you have been privileged with taking on the responsibility of leading others, you are familiar with the challenges of doing the right thing to achieve the best outcome for all concerned.
You may often find yourself • What have I done? • What should I have done? • What should I do now?
Here you will read about a variety of challenges common to Hawaii’s leaders. You may recognize some of these in your workplace. If so, rest assured that you are not alone.
Each chapter includes recommended solutions plus one or two stories from local business leaders. Footnotes have been added for the benefit of readers unfamiliar with local terms.

This book is for you, Hawaii’s leaders - it will provide solutions that encourage, inspire, and embolden you for the betterment of your mission.
Having lived in Wales, Canada, and West London, I am now settled in Buckinghamshire, where my husband and I live in a lovely spot facing an ancient woodland – great for walks and my attempts at running!
THE THIRTEENTH TORMENT, my first Detective Crime Thriller is based on my experiences as a Police Officer. It is the first in a series of 'DI Kate Landers' thrillers.
What else do I do?
I love to laugh. I make a conscious decision every day to be as happy as I can be. I believe if you look for the joy in life you will find it…and laughter will follow. Put my family together for more than five minutes and laughter will erupt. My sister and I have frequently been in such uproarious hysterics in Costas coffee shop or Starbucks that I’m amazed we haven’t been thrown out! My sister can make me laugh harder than anyone I know.
I find inspiration in so many things. There are so many wonderful people in this world; courageous people, those who triumph in the face of dreadful odds and adversity, selfless people, those who give their lives in service to others, creative people, those with awesome talent – and the will to share it. I am humbled and inspired so often.
