Read this in prep for training a new youth director. Good, basic theology of calling and helpful insights for ministry; appreciate the reflective questions. Offers a program structure at the end that won't serve every context.

Borton was such a wise and thoughtful guide and mentor for me as I am starting my first role as a Student Pastor. This book was a great mix between pragmatic and philosophy focused. I’ll be returning to it as I navigate my new ministry situation!

Very practical. Simple and helpful guidelines to step into student ministry but also just for life as a ministry leader in general

Helpful in some areas. A bit too pragmatic for me. Did not need the questions at the end of chapters.
Should have been a quicker read.
