Angel and JC return home to a frenzy of worldwide publicity, putting their fledgling romance under an intense media spotlight that threatens to destroy their feelings for each other.
Meanwhile, Madge and Bozzer have baggage of their own to reclaim, which could have serious implications for their infamous eBay buddies.
Whilst Bozzer’s camera never lies, cries or sighs, the four friends soon discover that people often pry, lie and say goodbye …
Mark Green is a British guy who got bored with the soulless nature of his job in the construction industry. In 2007, he and his girlfriend, Nicky, spent three months backpacking around South America, which provided the backdrop to this book. Upon returning to the UK after their adventure, Mark and Nicky decided that a conventional life wasn’t for them. They rented out their house and spent three years renovating a small sailing boat where they now live on Britain’s south coast. The Travel Auction is Mark’s first novel.
At last a story that has been crying out for the next instalment for a couple of years now. Travel Truth (Generation Destination Book 3), by Mark Green, continues where Travel Mate left off. Maddie is completing her recovery from a car accident in a Buenos Aires hospital at the mercy of the nefarious Simon Black, but under the protective eye of Bozzer, Madge’s Australian boyfriend. Meanwhile, Angel and JC are en-route back to the UK after their apparently indecent exposure in Brazil. However, their shameful behaviour leads on to shameless behaviour, on their journey home, and on their return. As with the previous two books there is a lot going on in this story, which is about relationships, trust, treachery, and near-death experiences. Fast-paced as ever, with characters to care about and characters to hate, comedy, thrills and spills, what’s not to like. As I said when I reviewed book three, if you haven’t read the previous books, it would be good to start from book one and read them in sequence, to enhance what is a completely entertaining reading experience.
