Drawing from her own painful experience of losing loved ones, Joyce eloquently writes about the kaleidoscope of feelings that belong to the dying and their companions, friends, and family. Her gift of compassionate, honest expression brings empathy and healing as she guides us in understanding the process of grieving.
What a help this was to me when my sister, Carrie, died. A dear friend gifted me with it and it was the 2nd most important tool in getting through this ordeal. The first of course, was my faith in Jesus Christ and the comfort I received from my faith and trust in Him.
A great book to read after a loss of a loved one. I highlighted many passages... This book was given to me by my math professor when I returned to college in my forties. My mother had died very suddenly the second week of class, and this book was a comfort to hang on to. The only way through grief is to go through it and wait for time to march along, but this book was helpful.
