I'm sorry, what? Pikachu has "too much electricity" built up? And then Ash gets electrocuted but he's fine... This plot seems a little too inconsistent or far fetched for me. Either blasting electricity should help or it shouldn't - it shouldn't be this "the third time's a charm" type of solution. I know I'm being harsh on a kids book but these are the questions my 6 year old raised when I was reading this to him.
I loved this short book about trying to get Pikachu Well again. As everyone knows, Pikachu can build up too much Electric, its a common problem for all Electric Pokemon. Ash & Others Rescue Pikachu <3
This is really hard for me to rate, because I am not fond of it, but my son ADORES it. (But then he likes all things Pokemon!) Many of the illustrations are of poor quality--reproduced from the animated show. But the clincher for me is when a character announces, "Pikachu could explode!" Bizarre! I give it two stars, my son gives it five stars.
It is about Pikachu getting sick and he can't control his electricity so he electricutes lots of things. The scientist has to get Pikachu better before he stings anything else. Then they make Pikachu better by sending him home with Ash. The next morning he is better. I liked it because they helped Pikachu and it is cool how they do it.
This picture book is about adventure where pikachu is sick and could possibly explode. I did not think the illustrations were high quality, and I thought that the plot was weak about holding dear to what you love.
what a wonderful reader for kids who love pokemon. poor pikachu was sick and full of electricity. i enjoyed this book with my daughter who insisted on doing most of the reading herself.
