The eighth book in the Wildflower Series has all the beloved characters and continues forward with the lives and faith journeys of the men and women of the Willamette Valley. ~ Christian Historical Fiction ~Good for ages 12 and up.
I feel like I know each of the characters, and how each book In the series flows into the next. As usual I read this non stop and am anxiously awaiting the release of the next book.
Every book by this author is exceptional and this book is no exception. The story is filled with suspense, love, dread, sadness, love, hope, joy, fear and peace. Each character and section beautifully thought out and well written. Bravo!
I have enjoyed this whole series from start through book 8. I just finished book number 8 in the "Wildflower" series. What a wonderful series!!! I really want to know what happened to Trisha and Winnie. I also want to know about Sophia and Tim; Laney and Amos; Daisy and Jacob and what will happen with Galina and her dad Slava? Please put me out of my misery and tell me book 9 will be out soon!!!!!!.
All your characters are amazing, and I absolutely love Clive and, now, Josiah. The Biblical teachings touch my spirit, and I am pleased to see that you have the actual Bible scripture included in the text instead of just mentioning the scriptures and leaving it up to the reader to look up the quotes. I have laughed and cried throughout the series.
The only issue I have with this entire series is the editing of grammar and punctuation. I have to stop, sometime, and re-read sentences to see what thought you are really trying to get across to the reader.
I look forward to hearing good news about the next book in the "Wildflower" series.
I have read & re-read all of the previous 7 books in this series. Can't wait to re-read this book A Song for Sparrows! I love how Leah Banicki always tells the best stories and the characters are so real that I feel I know them. Each book builds on the previous books. Can't express how wonderful these books are to me & others I have suggested they read especially this series. Not sure how many times I have read each of these books but they never get old.
I love your story and recommend it to anyone, but not new readers. Leah you really need to find yourself an editor. I would be happy to do it for cost if you want to send me manuscripts. You really have many more errors than necessary in every book, in every chapter, I've read. On many occasion I've wished for a hard copy so I could red in correction and send them to you. I'll look into an app. You write too well to send your work into the world in this condition. Fell free to email me if you want to talk about this.
Nothing I like more when I'm reading a good story and the writing is done so well. You read part of the story and you find tears running down your face. So we'll written. As I got close to the end and knew the story was ending BUT not over I pray that #9 has been finished. I'm off to search!!
I enjoy this series so much these people are like family to me. I wait patiently for the next book so I can find out what happens next. Her characters come to live in my head and I can see them clearly. That's how good of a writer Leah is.
I've enjoyed reading this story from the, A Song for Sparows, from the series, Wildflowers. The author has done a wonderful job of telling her story about the characters and their life in the early frontier.
I am so longing to read the next book in this series. I do believe Linda Banaki is the greatest story teller I have been blessed to read. Her work is amazing. Anything she writes I’ll read quick as I get my hands on it. Betty Burdette
There are new people integrated into the story And many sadness is throughout the story Some are Less devastating than others But is Cruel (bad parenting) death worth less than a little child. You will have to read to find out what you might feel in each situation
I am reading this series for a second time. Good clean reading for all ages. Leah Banicki is a wonderful writer lead by the Holy Spirit. These can be read alone but you must start with book one if you are contemplating reading the series.
I thought I cried all my tears for Galina. Poor Tricia Winnie poor Bertra died. Falling off a mountain and being nearly starved to death. How can parents think one child is better than the others. Or how can Ingrid hate her own daughter so much.
This book was worth the wait! Such a great story. The different characters and their life stories.I would give more than 5 stars of I could.I can't wait for book 9!
I love these books and cannot wait for the next one. I was sad when I finished the last one. The author keeps you interested in the lives of the characters
Another awesome book from this author. I am enjoying the stories so much. Wonderful characters, wonderful writing. I highly recommend this book and the series.
