Tamara is an Australian author who grew up in an old mining town in country South Australia, where her love of history was founded. She loves to write romance novels in an array of genres, including regency, medieval, and time travel.
Lord Theodore Ward, Marquess of Lyon, needs a lady's companion for his mother while he seeks a bride to refill his family coffers and save his estate. Princess Elena of Atharia needs an escape from royal life. She fakes an application to Theo in order to visit with the dowager Marchioness, a dear friend of her late mother. The dowager quickly figures out Elena's scheme and hatches her own machinations: keeping Theo at home to woo Elena.
This is the third book in The Royal House of Atharia series, and can be read alone. It was a predictable but enjoyable story. I particularly liked Theo's mother throwing them together. I thought the beginning and middle were better than the end though; for me, it didn't end as strong as it started.
Loved this story. I have been reading some really great books lately but they have been such heavy stories. Great reads but it was nice to come back to a lighter story. I wish it would have been a tad longer in length but the characters were well written and fun to read. I love Tamara Gill books and have read 36 of her books. She never disappoints. I am really liking this series.
Loved Elena and Theo. This was a cute story, well written.
I enjoyed this book. The story was fun and had a lot of heart. I found Elena and Theo likable and I felt they made a good couple. The storyline held my attention well with its smart combination of emotion, drama, tension and twists. I am independently posting a impartial review.
This book is a very beautiful story. Princess Elena and Theo make an astounding couple. The story is one of the best by Tamara Gill, outstanding and a work of art.
4.5 Stars Tired doesn’t even begin to describe how Princess Elena of Atharia is feeling she’s tired of being paraded at ton events so devises a plan to escape for a month. She’s accepted the post of companion to the Marchioness of Lyon. Lord Theodore Ward has no love for the wealthy especially royalty. But if he needs marry well soon or he’ll lose everything. However his mother is unwell and unattended. So, hiring a lady’s companion is the only option. Then the lovely Elena Smith arrives at his door and his plans become infinitely more complicated. A very well written entertaining read. The characters are well portrayed & have depth. I loved both Theo & Elena who were attracted to each other from their first meeting. They become closer as his journey to London is continually delayed but he needs an heiress & she needs someone to love her not her title. Things are bound to go pear shaped when secrets are revealed. An engrossing read which I happily whiled away an afternoon reading My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
This is a very sweet story, a great storyline, and a good part of the series. I overall liked it with a few criticisms. What bothered me was 1- the repetitiveness - so many repeated sentences every chapter it really started to get on my nerves. The points of the story (her being a princess, her not believing that he would love her for her, him needing a rich wife, etc,) really were mentioned far too much. 2- Elena mentions that she wants to be loved for herself and not for being a princess, several times this is mentioned and then when she does figure out that Theo loves her, she goes back and forth with 'I know he loves me' to the very next paragraph being doubtful as to if he really does. It was very confusing because it was so much back and forth. 3- There isnt much character development. Elena is young but her naivety was really maddening.
I would recommend this to readers wanting to continue with the series but this can be read as a stand-alone. I received an advanced copy in exchange for my review
Elena was tired of the endless balls people kissing up to her for her wealth and status not because of her! They never wanted to get to know her jyst her status! I get it change stifling. Theo hated aristocracy especially King George who he blamed for his financial difficulties! He is finally resolved to attend a London season for a wealthy bride to repairs his tattered estate! Enter Elena who is a hired companion for his mother while he's away! No wages are discussed it seems an expense that Theo a Marquis can ill afford! Elena is attracted to him but he's more drawn to her than it seems she is to him! Elena is young and at first not sure she wants love right now. Theo mother immediately recognized Elena but agrees to keep her secret! Its immediately apparent that she hopes the two will fall in love! But Theo makes several mistakes one is not at least telling Elena of his growing feelings when she was a companion! The ending is okay to me he never quite redeems himself!
TAMARA GILL DOES IT AGAIN!!! Forever My Princess is book 3 in The Royal House of Atharia series and I have to say what a fun series this is. I think Forever My Princess is my favorite so far. Though in a series this book can be read as a standalone. I just loved Elena and Theo’s story and the chemistry between the two couldn’t be any better. Tamara’s stories are very original and just a true delight to read and I am always looking forward to a new release… she never disappoints. What I loved about this story is the princess playing a commoner and an aristocrat falling in love…or do they? This story has a princess wanting to escape society for a month, a marquess that needs a very rich wife, a scheming mother, getting lost in a maze, hating royalty, a father’s death, resentment, pride, kindness, being recognized right away and falling in love. I am highly recommending you read this book.
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Tangled Deceit. Princess Elena plots to get away, even if it is only for a few weeks, from the insincerity of those around her, from the flattery, the fawning and being seen as a prized object rather than a woman. As plain Miss Smith she will be able to breathe and relax for a change but she doesn’t expect to fall in love with a man who needs to marry wealth. If she admits who she is, will she ever be able to believe her wealth was not the draw but if she doesn’t how can Lord Lyon choose her and abandon all those whose livelihoods depend on him? A great story with the two of them having to believe and trust in their love, letting go of pride and old animosities. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author via Booksprout. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Princess Elena of Atharia just needs to get away, so she becomes Miss Elena Smith, companion to Lady Lyon. Theodore Ward, Marquess of Lyon, plans to go to London to find, much to his displeasure, a rich wife. When Theo’s trip is delayed, they spend a bit of time together. Elena Smith and Lord Theodore Ward are well on their way to happily ever after until…
Elena could be the rich wife Theo needs, but they both want to marry for true love, not money or title. Secrets and old grudges come to light when Holly and Alessa arrive unexpectedly. Theo and Elena are so good together. Will they be able to sort out the problems and find happiness? Maybe, if they think it through. This is a quick, engaging story with great characters. I enjoyed and recommend it.
I received and ARC of this book via BookSprout. My review is voluntary.
This was such a fun and delightful read. This is the story of Princess Elena and Theodore Ward, the Marquess of Lyon, who needs a lady's companion for his mother while he seeks a bride to refill his family coffers and save his estate in London. Princess Elena of Atharia needs an escape from royal life so she fakes an application to be a companion in order to visit with the dowager Marchioness, a dear friend of her late mother. The dowager was my most favorite part of the story! She immediately knew who Elena was and like a fairy godmother, orchestrated her and Theo becoming close.
It was a predictable story, but very enjoyable. This was a light read, with no darkness, villains or mysteries to solve. It is part of a series, but does fine as a standalone.

Tamara Gill’s “Forever My Princess” is Book 3 in The Royal House of Atharia Series.
Lord Theodore Ward, Marquess of Lyon must find a wealthy heiress to save his estate though he really doesn’t care for the wealth. What a conundrum? But first he needs a Lady’s maid for his mother. Princess Elena from The Royal House of Atharia wants a break from those who see her as a prize for her status and wealth. She longs to be loved for herself and not because of her fortune and title. So she applies for a position of Lady’s maid to the dowager Marchioness, once a dear friend of her late mother.
I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful story of Theo and Elena. If ever two people should be together it’s these two delightful characters. I loved the dowager Marchioness, a shrewd woman indeed. Great characters, wonderful story.
Thanks so much Ms. Gill for this charming love story.
I found this to be a sweet story. Theo needs money therefore he needs a rich wife. Elena needs to decompress therefore she find a job outside of her normal day to day life. They meet, they flirt around a little, and you guessed they fall in love however they are not meant to be together according to both of these two. I am not normally into the pretending trope but I felt that Elena has justifiable reasons. Then comes the misunderstanding and if onlys. Will Theo look past his prejudices and will Elena accept that he loves her and not her title? Guess what, you have to read to find out. Okay, they do but isn’t that the way it always happens.
This is Theo, Marquess of Lyon and Princess Elena's story! The pressures of being a Princess of Atharia are great, especially with all eyes of the Ton are on you, and Elena just needs some breathing room from it all. A little plotting has her taking on a month-long companion position to Lady Lyon, the Marquess of Lyon's mother, while Theodore Ward plans to go to London to search out a rich wife to save the family estate. When Theo’s trip is delayed, they spend a bit of time together. Elena could be the rich wife Theo needs, but they both want to marry for true love, not money or title. Theo and Elena are so good together but insecurities and secrets threaten to pull them apart. This is a quick, fun story with well-plotted characters. I enjoyed and recommend it.
This book was such a sweet story - if you can see past the lies and fortune hunting. ☺️ Elena is a princess who just needs a break from the Ton so she gets a job as a companion to her mother’s best friend. She thinks that four weeks away from London will let her refresh herself. What she doesn’t count on is meeting and falling for Lord Lyon, who is looking for an heiress to save his crumbling estate. Elena just wants him to love HER and not her money, while Theo fights to not fall in love with her, since he doesn’t know who she truly is.
A great ending to a wonderful royal series!
** I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book in return for an honest review. **
Princess Elena of Atharia disappears to Somerset to be a companion to her mama's best friend, avoiding a houseparty and hiding from her family. Theodore Ward, Marquess of Lyon, is in desperate need of a tremendous amount of money to save his estate. His plan is to spend a month in London to find an heiress for a bride, only the arrival of his mother's companion is upsetting his plans. As Theo's trip continues to be delayed, his attraction to Elena grows into love. Elena wants to reveal her identity, but not if he doesn't say "I love you" first. What a quandary when Theo reveals his dislike of royalty. A passionate relationship that seems hopeless. I read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book via Booksprout.
Can she truly have love? I thought this was a charming story about a princess who is overwhelmed and a young lord who has problems of his own. Taking a job as a companion for one month Elena hope to have a break before she must do her duty and marry, she had wanted love but knew that is would not be possible. Theo and Elena meet and they are attracted to each other. I spent my time hoping that things would work out for them. It had just the right amount of drama and in many ways touched my heart. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
Hidden identity, secret royalty, an ambivalent hero, instant attraction, and a matchmaking mother who wants to see her son happy combine in this sweet romance. A princess looking for a break from her royal duties takes a position as a lady's maid for the mother of a man who despises royalty. He needs a wealthy bride to save his estate, but Elena sure looks good to him. What will happen when he finds out who she really is? Will their story be over before it truly begins? I enjoyed this sweet historical romance and recommend it to anyone who likes the genre.

Princess Elena wanted to be loved for herself and not because of her fortune and title. Theo, Lord Lyons needs to marry a very wealthy heiress to save his estate. He can’t afford to give his heart to his mother’s new temporary companion Miss Elena Smith. Theo was open about his hatred of all things royal so Elena should have told him the truth before they took things so far. She was ignorant about how a woman’s body works and could have put herself in a precarious situation. I loved Theo’s matchmaker mother who was determined to make them fall for each other.
She is so tired of the vanity of what the ton has to offer and the pretty words from the gentleman of society just because she is a princess so she goes into hiding as a companion.. He needs to marry for money and fast all because the English royal is going to take his property. But when he sees his mother's companion he isn't so sure if money and the estate is worth it.. But he hates royalty.. Until her.. This was a light hearted read and such a sweet story.. And a great way to end a series
The idea of being liked/loved for yourself and not who you are or what you have was focus of this heart warming story for me. I found it easy to empathize with both Elena and Theo’s unique situations and all the insecurities surrounding them. This story was a thoroughly enjoyable journey of this pair right to the HEA ending.

I really enjoyed the 3rd book in the The Royal House of Atharia series. This book is about the youngest sister, Princess Elena of Atharia and Lord Theodore Ward. He needs a rich wife, she wants to be loved for herself, not her money...can they figure it out in time?!?! I enjoyed this book and the whole series. You do not need to read the first two to read this one. This a a quick, sweet, sexy read. Great characters.
I received a free copy of this book for my honest review
Forever My Princess is an enticing and engaging regency romance. What starts as a little secret gives Elena and Theo a wonderful chance at a forever love. Their connection is true and undeniable, and a delightful story well crafted by Tamara Gill that sweeps you away for a few hours of blissful reading.
Forever My Princess is the third book in Tamara Gill's The Royal House of Status series. I loved reading and following Theo and Elena's wonderful story of two people who want to be loved for who they are and not what they can offer someone. I had a hard time putting it down it was so good. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I enjoyed this story because it has so much emotion in II. It was a true love story, both the H/H had needs they must ensure was satisfied and they had so much to deal with.
The third book in the Royal House of Atharia series another well written story in this series. I enjoyed seeing Princess Elena of Atharia and Lord Theodore/Theo Ward get their happy ending. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is another story that is a great addition to a brilliant series. The plot which has some steamy moments, has the main characters traveling a bumpy and emotional road to achieve their goals.
An amazing story, entertaining, heartfelt and lots of emotional conflict and soul searching with unexpected circumstances and unpredictable surprises and misunderstandings. loved reading. this.
