Each page is its own specific topic - some of the information can be a bit redundant if reading cover to cover, but it's excellent for a reference book whether you're just starting your compost journey or if you know what you're doing but want all the information in one place. Helpful, beautiful pictures throughout.
I feel much more comfortable starting my composting journey now that I've read this book.
Very useful book. I was not new to home composting, but hadn't experience with all the different techniques and uses for garden. I gave it a read through and then used it for practical tips, searching for a specific guidance now and then. The condensed writing and a lot of photos and illustration give to the reader a pleasurable experience, like investigating a garden, but for the practical use I could use some references for informations that are presented in the book. More use of tables or boxes with relevant information in topics could enhance the inequivocal 'field-guide' potential.
An excellent resource for both people wanting to get started with composting, or for people who have had a compost pile for decades. Very informative and helpful!!
Solid primer on the subject of composting for the garden. It has good detail and is written well. The book contains a lot of information, therefore I would recommend this book for someone who is probably an intermediate-level gardener, as a new gardener or even relative beginner may have to review over several settings to get better frame of reference and comprehension.
