Samuel Westchester, the Marketing Director of Trident, is working in New York City when the disaster is unveiled. Battling the rioting crowds, he's caught between using his access to search for answers to the disaster and getting to his aging parents far across the city.

Empty Vault - a review by Rosemary Kenny

Empty Vault is Mike Kraus and E.S. Richards' Wipeout series Book 3...and what a doozy!

It continues the exciting saga about how Samuel Westchester, an executive of a major world-wide finance corporation, struggles to cope with the fury of investors who have lost everything, in the seemingly man-made disaster which has crashed banking systems with the irreversible loss of all crypto-currency everywhere.

Sam and colleague Austin fear for the wellbeing of the former's elderly parents and Austin's family who live in Hawaii, as well as clients and other people, who depend on digital currency for financial and practical survival.

Who is behind this evil plot against the US and beyond?
Is there any way to save the global economies?
Can Austin and Sam reach and ensure the safety and well-being of their loved ones?

A riveting 'what if...?' novel by two experienced authors, Empty Vaults by Mike Kraus and E.S. Richards, gets you straight to the heart of this all too possible scenario and holds you raptly throughout.
Get the whole series so far, for an intense and realistic experience you won't forget in a hurry!

Well thought out book and frightening in its possibility -

Now as the Americans are beginning to attempt to reestablish functionability and pull together gradually, enemy troops are beginning to come onto American soil. With very limited communications and no way to contact our military for assistance, weakened by starvation and still struggling just to survive with no power and increasingly scant rations, the citizens now face their enemy responsible for the whole debacle...The question now is what to do as this possibility , invasion by Chinese military, was not a thought that had occurred to them in their struggle just to survive... Now, the situation has become even more desperate and the survival of America and her people is now a in question...

yes, banks will eventually fold

it is the plausibility or the plot that appealed to me on this one. hackers are a threat to everyone, but especially to older people who have saved for the future. The danger of all you have worked for just disappearing at the hand of a malicious stranger is a worry. I want to see how or if there can be any tix to this.

I am enjoying this series. I like the fact there is a gay couple and I like reading about Kauai. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary review.
