If trouble doesn't come to him, he'll find it on his own.

Dangerous, scary, crazy... Kieran Smith has been called a lot of things in his time and most of them are true. He respects few, trusts even fewer and barely tolerates everyone else. When Kieran is sent on an unwanted vacation to the city of Las Vegas, he goes looking for trouble just to prove a point. Little does he know that one night is going to set in motion a chain of events that will change his entire life.

Dakota Reese is a third-generation Organization agent. When she meets Kieran, the first Day Walker she's encountered, she is both intrigued and excited. She even finds his snark and sarcasm sexy. When she has the opportunity to get to know him better, it's obvious that Kieran has been tormented by shifters in his past. As much as she wants him, Dakota isn't sure that Kieran can see past the fact that she's a jaguar shifter.

As Kieran finds himself falling for the sweet yet tough shifter, a ghost from his past comes back to haunt him. His boss is up to something as well and his partner is keeping secrets. He might be on vacation but Kieran isn't getting any rest.

With suspicion and tensions running high, Kieran must figure out who he can trust before he really does go crazy.

I live in Texas with my husband, daughter, and three Labrador retrievers. By day you can find me at my 'day job' buried under a pile of paperwork but at night I am at my computer creating new worlds!

I have always loved the paranormal. Shape-shifters, witches, and vampires have been my number one choice of reading material so when I strated to write it was the genre I chose.

I currently have several books released through Totally Bound. I have one long running series the Were Chronicles and in March 2014 a spin-off series the Shifter Chronicles will be revealed.

I also have several stand alone novellas and novels.

I am working hard to bring more stories to the readers so they can sit back and relax while losing themselves in the paranormal romance world.

My reviewing buddies all had a bet going on. They all know I love Crissy Smith's PNRs and I would predictably jump up and grab Bite before they could get it. The bet was how long I could have the book before I dropped everything else and started reading it. I last a whole two days. What can I say, I like what I like.

Oh I like Kieran...A LOT! What a wicked sense of humor he has. Sneaky-sneaky! I hope his 'playfulness' stays throughout the series. Let's hit the fact that he does have issues with shifters. He was caught, tortured and darn near kill by shifters. Now he has series trust issues with any shifters...except for Dakota. Dakota is pretty amazing. Third generation agent, jaguar shifter, she's more than a match for Kieran. There's an attraction between these to that sizzles. She is his zing but with his issues with shifters, Kieran is struggling a bit with it.

Already there is a world-building that I see is hitting all my buttons. Intrigue, suspense, sizzling heat and characters that are already meshing into my head. Remy Caspar, Alex, Jackson, I'm loving these extra characters. I'm practically jumping for joy waiting to see what stories they will bring to the table. Then there is the whole ghost from Kieran's past issue. Something tells me that solving that mystery is what this whole series is going to be about. Who are the bad shifters? Why did they capture day-walkers? What does it all mean? Man I can't wait to find out!

I've been a fan of author Crissy Smith since her Shifter Chronicle series. When I saw she was starting up a new series, Bloodlines, it was a complete no brainer on whether or not I was going to read it. With what I have read so far, I really think I'm going to like this series! Can't wait for the next book!
