Bree Moore lives in Iowa with her amazing husband and six children. When she's not busy homeschooling or folding laundry, she sneaks off to write more urban fantasy.
Bree has a passion for pregnancy and childbirth, which influences her female-led stories. She loves shopping for groceries like other women like shopping for shoes (no, seriously), movies that make her cry, and Celtic music. She likes both her chocolate and her novels dark.

This third book in the series lets us get to know two other residents we met briefly in book one more fully, Mandi and Zeke as well as Tyson still struggling to understand the changes within him as new powers are emerging as he now realizes he never understood the residents at Camp Silver Lake at all while he was their counselor there. He is still trying to find Harper after she and Quinn vanished with Lilith unexpectedly.
Mandi believes Lilith and decides to follow her with the promise she’ll receive two things she has always wanted but she’ll find she will pay a high price in the end for them.
Zeke has to leave the Camp after things change and this book chronicles Mandi and Zeke’s journey until they are reunited far away from the camp they both were residents at!
This book exposes Lilith’s ultimate goal she has had since she took over and whether or not she will succeed or fail in that endeavor.
This is an exciting series where we readers are introduced to paranormals and humans and what happens to both humans that changes them into paranormals themselves. I have enjoyed this series thus far and recommend it as one you’ll enjoy. To really enjoy it, however, you need to get the entire series and read it though to its conclusion. That being said I look forward to the next book, Rebel Sworn, to continue the stories and see if some of my questions will be answered then!
You will find you’ll be caught up in this story and the lives of the characters herein to the point they’ll have become your friends so the need to find out what happens to them next is not surprising!
Join me in this journey as we try and understand those who are different than we are and possess powers and abilities we wish we had ourselves!
Coven Bound was an unexpected pleasure to read. I’ve read and thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series. While I was surprised by the changes in perspective that Moore introduces in this novel—being told by a blind witch and a Greek werewolf—I was taken in by these two genuine characters. Plus, Moore does have her two main narrators from Raven Born narrate some chapters in this newest novel, yay! Moore’s strength is in her character building and Zeke and Mandi are characters with depth and flaws and such interesting stories. The amount of research that was put into crafting this novel is apparent in the word choice, description, and characters’ feelings surrounding the coven’s actions in this novel. Impressive. The end is filled with action and implications that leaves me eagerly awaiting the next novel.
We learn a great deal about Zeke and Mandi in this book. We have a lot more page time with Tyson and Becca than we do Quinn and Harper but they do get some attention. I was certain I was going to be furious at the author throughout so much of the book but I should've remembered she's a master at misdirection.
I'm actually glad that the next book isn't out yet. My eyelids are heavy; my eyes scratchy with fatigue. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be checking out more of her works. I may need to do it alternating with ARCs I've received as I do like getting books early. There's also an author gearing up to leave KU so I have to binge her as I can. But I absolutely have to read more of Bree Moore's books. They are utterly, ridiculously good and have completely swept me away.
This is one of those series that gets better and better with each book and this third book is so so good. The world building continues to enthrall, the characters continue to grow and develop and the storyline pulls you in and holds on tight and does not let go till the very end! Well paced, action packed, intriguing and intertwining storylines, this world is incredible and I am anxious to read more!
Bree Moore is such an amazing and clever story teller and ”The Lost Souls” series must be one of my favourites. I usually don’t like the change of perspective from one character to another but I am so invested in Tyson, Zeke and Mandi’s stories that I had no problem following this and loved every minute of it. Unique, intriguing and just “wow” - awesome!
I am loving these books for their sympathetic characters and their dynamic plots. The shades of grey which surround the decisions each character has to make ensures the themes are rich and satisfying. The world building is so good, I want to read the sequel on how to use crystal magic for good!
The story just keeps getting better although I always exclaim loudly when I reach the cliff hangers! I do love the way the author creates a colorful world that has reference points to the real world so you can almost imagine them overlapping. Characters we have only met briefly before, we learn more about as their story lines start converging. I really am looking forward to reading the next story in this series.
