It's of course slightly silly that the author claims to speak for all Koreans, but still, this little book is a fun, informative and beautifully designed introduction to (mainly South) Korea. Illustrated with some paintings and many photographs, the text gives an overview of Korean history, geography, politics, popular travel destinations, famous Koreans, culinary delights, society, social norms and customs as well as phenomena like K-Pop and K-Beauty. The outcome is entertaining and informative, although, due to the text's brevity, people who aim to really learn about the country in all its diversity and nuance need to pick up non-fiction books devoted to singular aspects Soo Kim only has the time and space to hint at.
Full disclosure: I can't possibly judge whether the viewpoints presented in the book are correct, but the text certainly motivated me even more to visit South Korea. For people who want to spend two hours immersing themselves in short texts and images of Korea, this light read is just right.

Možno používate mobilný telefón, máte televízor alebo auto z tejto krajiny. Čo ale skutočne viete o Južnej Kórei? Viete, že sú až extrémne zameraní na vzdelanie? Že azda nikde na svete netrávia deti a mladí ľudia toľko času štúdiom? Alebo že sú vychovávaní k obrovskej úcte k starším ľuďom? Hoci aj o pár mesiacov starším?
Samostatná kapitola sú rodičia. Očakáva sa, že deti sa o nich budú starať a samostatnosť sa tu donedávna absolútne nenosila. Ak sa aj nejaká dcéra dostala z domu a nemusela odovzdávať plat a energiu svojim rodičom, putovala rovno k manželovej rodine, kde mala pomáhať svokrovcom.
Toto je Kórea približuje fascinujúcu kultúru, tak veľmi odlišnú od našej. Priznám sa, po Vegetariánke som čakala niečo drsnejšie, ale potom som si uvedomila, že ak by som mala vo svojej rodnej krajine zostať žiť po zvyšok života, asi by som tiež neotvárala niektoré témy a všetko pekne zaobalila. A tak niekedy čítate len medzi riadkami.
Soo Kim pripravila pomerne podrobného sprievodcu Južnou Kóreou ako krajinou, jej históriou, zvykmi, (pop)kultúrou, stravovaním, ale aj starostlivosťou o pleť a módou. Poodhalí aj pozadie vzniku značiek, ktoré dnes pozná celý svet. A to všetko s peknými farebnými fotografiami. Pre mňa veľmi vydarený počin, určite ma zaujíma aj Toto je Japonsko a len dúfam, že takýchto jemne poodhaľujúcich sond do iných kultúr bude pribúdať.
A teda obálka knižky v sovenskom vydaní, to je nádhera.

Už počas čítania knihy Toto je Kórea mi bolo jasné, že keď o nej budem písať, budem zase raz za tú zlú, ale nedá sa inak, niekto byť musí. Nebudem klamať, na knihu som sa veľmi tešila - zlákala ma svojim nádherným grafickým spracovaním a predstavou, že sa dozviem niečo nové o ďalekej krajine, no, žiaľ, do rúk sa mi dostal typický príklad publikácie, kde vizuálna stránka poslúžila ako akési tienidlo, odpútavač od obsahu, ktorý už taký uspokojivý nebol.
Respektíve, obsah sa ako tak dal, hoci mnohé veci boli spomínané repetetívne, nadväznosť textu bola občas mierne bizarná a viaceré informácie by sa rozhodne dali opísať obšírnejšie (ale je to sprievodca, nie odborná kniha, takže z tohto hľadiska jej je odpustené), no kameňom úrazu boli pre mňa preklad, štylistika a redakčná úprava, ktoré na mnohých miestach haprovali a niekde zlyhali na plnej čiare. Neraz som sa pristavovala pri krkolomných vetných konštrukciách, z ktorých sa mi až krížili oči a z ktorých som mala pocit, že prekladatelia ani korektorka sa so súvetiami či zloženými vetami veľmi nekamarátia, v iných momentoch sa mi zdalo, akoby pri tvorbe knihy zohral nemalú úlohu strojový preklad (čo už je teda čo povedať, keďže podľa tiráže na preklade pracoval nie jeden, ale až štyria prekladatelia - podotýkam, že z angličtiny), iné miesta na mňa kričali, že sa na ne počas korektúry zabudlo. Ani nie 200 strán čistého textu som čítala takmer tri dni, početné nedokonalosti ma totiž tak iritovali, že som doslova nezvládala prečítať viac ako pár strán vkuse.
Aby som však nebola len negatívna, nemôžem povedať, že by som sa pár zaujímavostí nedozvedela - napríklad o dôležitosti sociálnych vzťahov, rodinných väzieb, spôsobe nadväzovania známostí, rôznych výročiach, odlišnom vnímaní veku či o dôraze na vzdelanie. Vedeli ste napríklad, že Kórejčania svoj vek nepočítajú od narodenia, ale už od počatia? Zaujímavé nie? Škoda, tá kniha mala taký potenciál, no nedostatky textovej úpravy dojem z nej skazili.

Интересен очерк,някак очаквах да е или по-задълбочен, или по-повърхностен. Очаквах повече традиции, обичаи,история и лайфстайл, по-малко географска и икономическа фактология.
Страниците са изпълнени с имена на градове, квартали и улици, все едно човек трябва и може да ги запомни или имат някакво значение,но са пропуснати основните характеристиките на храмове, пазари и други забележителности. Обърнато е внимание на доста популярни факти, но с по две-три изречения. За незапознатите информацията е крайно недостатъчна, за запознатите -ненужна.
Имам усещането,че съм попаднала на туристически гид, което поне за мен е неочаквано предвид анотацията. Странен и не много подходящ за четене формат. Не ми допада и оформлението, очаквах повече от фотографиите.

Leuk geschreven, heel mooi design!
Zeker als je op reis gaat naar Korea, of gewoon geïnteresseerd bent is dit een goed boek om kennis te maken met het land en de cultuur. Het is ook mooi weergegeven en er staan veel mooie afbeeldingen bij, waar ik erg gelukkig van kan worden. Aanrader :)

Muy interesante 🇰🇷
Si te gusta Corea del Sur, este libro no te lo puedes perder. Toca un montón de temas sobre el país: geografía, historia, celebraciones, comidas y recetas, incluso algunas palabras y expresiones coreanas. Además de una serie de datos random que hacen muy entretenida la lectura.
Me pareció muy completo y tiene una longitud muy acertada. Ahonda en cada tema lo justo para aprender y entender cómo es su cultura sin llegar a hacerse pesado.

Корейската култура е много интересна, традициите са красиви. Корейците мислят много за здравето и развитието си. Много ме впечатлиха технологичният прогрес, минималистичният лайфстайл и изобщо как са си изградили живот, който да ги дърпа напред постоянно. Образователната система е интересна, но не мисля, че бих се подложила на учене по 12 часа на ден в училище. В Южна Корея има много състезателен дух (усещам) и е нормално учениците масово да се борят за първи места и явно са готови да си подложат здравето и съня на риск само за да имат високи оценки. Както си повтарям постоянно, въпрос на приоритети. Все пак нека не забравяме, че Южна Корея също така постоянно търпи успехи с автомобилите, роботиката, мобилните устройства и оптимизацията в живота, така че колкото и да съм негативно настроена към зомбираните учащи, народът им е страшно умен и прави неща, за които не съм си и мечтала.
Единственото нещо, което ме дразнеше през цялото време, беше хваленето и сравнението с другите държави. Имам чувството, че авторката през цялото време досаждаше с успехите на корейците в различни области и от какви международни организации или държави е получила признание. Заглавието на книгата е "Животът е Южна Корея", а на моменти ми се струваше все едно не получавам информация за традиции и култура, а за причините Корея да е по-добра от Америка, например, в дадена област. Ако се абстрахираме от ненужните хвалби и натякването, че Южна Корея е най-..., по-добра от... или че еди-колко-си милиона души посещават еди-кое-си-място в Южна Корея годишно, бих казала, че книгата е много хубаво и разнообразно четиво, което може да Ви мотивира как да оптимизирате някои аспекти от живота си, а може и да събуди много интерес във Вас по отношение на азиатската култура.
(Дори в благодарностите усетих намек отново за по-горните ми недоволства, но ще игнорирам и това.)

This was an enjoyable overview of Korea's culture and travel destinations with lots of beautiful photos. The information just scrapes the surface but you can always get other books if you're interested in one particular topic.

The book covers several topics related to Korea (mostly South and a bit of North as well). The author does not delve deep into any of the topics mentioned and only scratches the surface, especially in the case of the country's history, gastronomy, art etc. But that's fine as this book is not supposed to be an encyclopedia about Korea but an informative light read for anyone interested in the country's culture. It was an interesting read and I would recommend this to anyone, who wants to get to know more about the country but in a more casual way.

A good overview of all things Korean beginning with the history/main cities, then to food, culture, shopping, relationships, k-pop culture, language, tourism etc.
Not a run-of-the-mill book about Korea nor is it a history book. If you're interested in all things Korean, written in a friendly, conversational style, then pick up this book!
I would have loved more Korean recipes but I guess Kim only wanted (or had enough pages) to share the most fundamental and basic ones like cooking packet ramen (I mean do we need instructions for that), kimchi jjigae, Dwenjang jjigae, Oheemoochim (spicy cucumber dish) etc.
Love the smell of the pages, the format and the overall feel of the book. Would also have loved more language/slang sections but for that, I guess I have to pick up a language book.

Ever since I've watched Hyori's Bed & Breakfast on Netflix, I'm in love with Korean culture and yes, Korean cuisine. This book was so easy to read, and I learned enough on many topics. In parts, I was shocked, and in parts, I felt I wanted to be a Korean. Would be recommending this to anyone who wants to learn about Korea.

Kórea poväčšine nie je krajinou, ktorá by bola v našom kultúrnom priestore často reflektovaná. Ščasti to môže spôsobovať geografická vzdialenosť, inakosť kultúry či úplne odlišná mentalita. Ibaže keď sa o túto krajinu začnete zaujímať, zistíte, že v skutočnosti je veľmi zaujímavá. A dokonca tam ani nemusíte hneď vycestovať, ak chcete získať stručný prehľad a základné informácie, poslúži vám táto knižka. (V slovenskom vydaní - Toto je Kórea.)
Soo Kim nás v krásne ilustrovanej publikácii prevedie všetkým podstatným, čo by sme o tejto krajine mali vedieť. Stručne a vecne čitateľa oboznámi s dejinami krajiny, najznámejšími kultúrnymi pamiatkami, no predovšetkým s netradičnou kultúrou národa, ktorého tradície a zvyky sú tým našim také odlišné. V tomto spievodcovi Kóreou však zistíme i to, ako vyzerá pravý kórejský život: od toho, čo čakať, keď by sme chceli randiť s Kórejčnami, až po prehľad v oblasti hudby, filmu, zdravia či krásy. V knižke dokonca nechýba ani zopár receptov na typické kórejské jedlá a všetko je pekne doplnené krásnymi fotkami.
Ak chcete získať prvotný prehľad o tejto krajine či polámať si trochu jazyk na fonetickom prepise kórejských slov (ktorým asi nebudete rozumieť ako ja😃), knižku vám odporúčam.😊

Výborný cestopis, ktorý nie je len turistickým sprievodcom po krásach krajiny, ale je aj zaujímavou sondou do histórie, kultúry, spoločnosti a životného štýlu Juhokórejčanov.
Autorka píše veľmi pútavo a v knihe sa dozvedáme veľa zaujímavostí o tejto krajine a jej obyvateľoch.
Začíname stručnou históriou Kórejského poloostrova. Potom nazbierame tipy, čo sa v Južnej Kórey oplatí vidieť a navštíviť (či už ide o ruch veľkomesta alebo nádherné prírodné scenérie).
Neskôr sa dostávame k spoločnosti a životnému štýlu Juhokórejčanov. Táto kapitola ma bavila úplne najviac. Zisťujeme ako tu funguje školstvo; ako rýchlo sa v tejto krajine vyvíjajú technológie; ako sa Kórejčania stravujú; ako obyvatelia krajiny randia či aká dôležitá je pre nich rodina a pod.
Nakoniec nám je predstavená K-kultúra, ktorá za posledné roky pohltila aj náš západný svet. V rámci nej sú nám predstavení najznámejší hudobníci, kórejská kinematografia, kórejské vnímanie krásy či módne štýly.
Rozhodne odporúčam každému milovníkovi cestopisov, ale i každému, kto sa zaujíma o kórejský svet a kultúru.

Tato kniha mohla byt pokojne aj dlhsia, niektore casti by si zasluzili byt prepracovanejsie a detailnejsie. Napriek tomu sa mi velmi pacila a som rada, ze som ju citala v dobe, ked uz mam o Korei ake take ponatie a vela veci napozeranych zo serialov, takze mi vsetko bolo o trochu blizsie. Jedine, co ma vzdy otravuje su tie prepisy korejskych nazvov, nejde mi do hlavy, preco nemozeme pouzivat oficialnu romanization, ked existuje. Niektore slova su prepisane uplne nezmyselne a preco Cesi maju Pusan a nie Busan ako ostatne jazyky, stale neviem 😅

A short and entertaining introduction to Korean culture. Besides covering the basics on topics such as Korean cuisine, history and fashion, the author also included some personal recommendations and tips. This makes the book feel like a more elevated and fun version of a travel guide. A must read for anyone looking to visit Korea, or who is simply curious to learn more about its many traditions.

Libro introductorio sobre Corea, con un poquito de todo, desde historia a turismo, K-pop o cosmética. Es ideal para hacerte una idea general del país, pero naturalmente al tocar tantos temas diferentes no puede profundizar realmente en nada. De todos modos, la edición con tapa dura de Anaya es muy bonita y las fotografías son fantásticas.

This was a pleasant reading. I'm genuinely intrested in Korean culture but I didn't know that much about it. This book helped me to get a better idea what life generally is in Korea. The Hungarian cover is really pretty. The overall aesthetic of the book is nice.

Love it! Finally a book about the Korean culture, instead of the standard 'what to visit in Korea' touristic information. It's a nice book for everyone who is more interested in the culture instead of the highlights of the country.

Vizualne je knizka prekrasna. Grafiky aj fotografie navodia atmosferu, prijemne doplnaju text, v knizke sa dobre listuje a zaujme na prvy pohlad.
Co sa obsahu tyka, mala som pocit, ze to je take skrabkanie lyzickou po 2 metroch snehu. Pochopitelne, neda sa v par sto stranovej knihe povedat vsetko o Korei. Avsak casto som mala pocit, ze autorka nieco spomenula jednou vetou a potom to nechala tak. Naopak, v niektorych veciach isla do zbytocnej hlbky (napr. naco tam boli recepty?)
Ako obcasny googlic Korei a sledovatel Dominiky Sakmarovej, som sa dozvedela nove veci hlavne o historii a geografii, z oblasti zivota a kultury som ocakavala viac.
Hneval ma slovensky preklad - postrehla som par preklepov a nie, board games sa nepreklada ako doskove hry.
Celkovo to bolo prijemne citanie/listovanie ku kavicke, idealne pozicane z kniznice - doma ju mat nepotrebujem.

Celkovo to bolo prijemne citanie/listovanie ku kavicke, idealne pozicane z kniznice - doma ju mat nepotrebujem.

Sháněl jsem nějakého cestovního průvodce pro Jižní Koreu. Je to zvláštní, ale na trhu skoro nic není. Podařilo se mi najít jen nějaké tituly v angličtině, ale ty měly nízké hodnocení. A tak jsem sáhnul po této. Je to takový popis toho jak se žije v Koreji. Něco málo z historie, něco málo z kultury, něco málo z dnešního způsobu života a dalších oblastích běžného života Korejců. Myslím, že autorce se podařilo vytáhnou podstatné informace, tak akorát. Není to moc dlouhé a ani moc stručné. Doplněno velkými fotografiemi.
Poznámka k tištěné knize: když už si občas kupuji papírovou knihu, tak mimo jiné proto, že mám rád vůni knih. Tato kniha bohužel smrdí :-). Alespoň já jsem měl takový pocit. A taky mě zarazilo, že i když se jednalo o český překlad, kniha byla vytištěna v Číně :-(

Dit boek is een hele goede introductie van Zuid-Korea en beschrijft veel plekken en dingen waar ik nog niet eerder wat vanaf wist. Toch heb ik enkele aanmerkingen:
Allereerst had ik iets van een bibliografie willen zien of iets van referenties. Heel af en toe worden er bij onderzoeken wel de instituten benoemd die het onderzoek hebben uitgevoerd, maar voor veel andere dingen die worden neergezet als feit ontbrak mij een referentie. Verder heb ik er inhoudelijk niks op aan te merken.
De Nederlandse vertaling was niet verkeerd, maar er zaten een aantal spelfouten in. Voornamelijk in bijvoeglijke naamwoorden, maar waar "vaak" moest staan staat er nu "vaal". Daarnaast is de tekst opmaak ook inconsistent. Waar iets dikgedrukt had moeten staan stond het schuingedrukt. Ook is er één incomplete zin.
Tot slot is er nog iets aan te merken op de Koreaanse termen. Soms worden ze wel in hangul geschreven, maar soms ook niet, wat niet alleen inconsistent is maar wat mij betreft ook hinderlijk. Daarnaast is de romanisering* van een aantal Koreaanse termen ook niet helemaal correct. Ik begrijp dat dit lastig is en het enorm moeilijk is om de juiste uitspraak te weergeven maar Jiang Ie Dah (짱이다) wordt in het boek geromaniseerd als Jiang Ie Yah (짱이야), wat eigenlijk een informele/casual manier van spreken is. Hierdoor kan je als toerist ook als onbeschoft worden gezien als je het zou gebruiken. Ook is er één term verkeerd geplaatst. Waar wat wordt verteld over de ga-ma (가마) staat de Koreaanse term bah-gaht-yang-ban (바깥양반) terwijl later wordt uitgelegd dat dit 'edelman van de buitenkant' betekent.
Desalniettemin worden er echt hele goede dingen aangeraden. Er wordt van alles besproken: steden, bezienswaardigheden, activiteiten/festivals, tradities, geschiedenis, mode, eten, etc.

Me ha encantado! Desde hace un tiempo estamos pensando ir a Corea, el país de moda desde hace unos años y este libro es un buen acercamiento: incluye un poco de todo: geográfica, historia, datos curiosos, estilo de vida, costumbres, lugares turísticos, gastronomía, idioma, dichos populares, cultura, arte, moda, maquillaje coreano, k-pop y k-dramas...
Contiene fotografía a todo color, si bien muchas cosas de las que nombra es bueno ampliarlas y buscarlas en Google para hacerse una mejor idea porque evidentemente no hay fotos de todo lo que menciona. Muy recomendable!! Justo lo que buscaba

Te muestra un primer encuentro a Corea desde una amplia perspectiva: histórica, política, cultural, geográfica... He echado en falta que en la parte gastronómica añadieran fotos de los platos que estaba describiendo. Por lo demás, me ha gustado mucho y es una lectura muy amena.

How to Live Korean is a beautifully presented guide to Korea's history, customs, culture and economy.
It opens with an overview of Korea's ancient history and later profiles the Japanese occupation, the North-South split, national uprisings and economic growth. Although the book includes some information and photos about North Korea, I found it most interesting to learn something of Korea's history outside of its relationship with North Korea. However, it was moving to see photos of the gorgeous Pohyonsa temple. It's easy to forget sometimes that North Korea is also home to many cultural relics and fine buildings.
The modern history heavily focuses on South Korea's successful industries, especially technology, film and music. It describes the influence of large conglomerates run by a family (chaebol). This will give you a better grasp of news reports about abuses of power, corruption monopolistic behaviour and government ties.
Although some of these matters are very serious, most of the book is written in a breezy, conversational manner. The large photos, illustrations and charts are so nicely done that this book leaps over from travel guide to coffee table book. It includes a few light hearted lists such as 10 Things You Never Knew About South Korea (It has 3,000 islands!) and 10 Fascinating Koreans. The geography and general travel tips are useful but a bit similar to what you'd likely find in other popular travel guides. Common phrases, slang and proverbs are included but with a twist. There's no 'where's the toilet?' but rather, 'continue to work hard' as a way to say something like have a nice day or a phrase for how to call someone out on acting arrogant.
What separates How to Live Korean from other travel guides is its analysis of 'The Korean Spirit.' The descriptions of how different generations view family duty, relationships, friendships and social life would be incredibly helpful for anyone wanting to live in Korea or make new friends. Dating, anniversaries and public displays of affection are covered briefly, although this section might be the most useful for foreigners wishing to avoid accidental embarrassment. It's cute to see the photos of couples dressing alike and I honestly had a difficult time imagining living in a place where a 100 day anniversary is a thing. The class system is discussed quite a bit in the marriage and wedding sections. Most of these sections are written from the perspective of Koreans thinking about other Koreans. The book does not address relationships between Koreans and foreigners. Additionally, it does not share any information about how a traveller might be treated in Korea based on nationality or ethnicity.
The nature of this book requires generalisations, but the author acknowledges that "How strongly they resonate in any given Korean household differs from family to family." Here it describes Korea's unique type of loving-kindness known as jeong. The explanations of the responsibilities and expectations placed on oldest sons, plus the above descriptions of chaebol structure explained some questions I had about South Korean romance dramas and the infamous 2014 'nut rage incident.'
Although this book is light on etiquette, it has some very good tips on drinking around your elders and how to behave around your elders. Elders in this sense means someone older, not necessarily elderly. I could have used an explanation of how to determine someone's age so you know how to pour drinks or what phrases to use. Is it polite to ask a woman her age? On a similar note, the book includes a section on K Beauty, with Top Korean Skincare tips (Slap your face!) and Secrets for a Healthy Life.
I was unfamiliar with the concept of emotional intelligence referred to as 'nunchi.' "In a modern age of health enthusiasts obsessed by self-awareness and mindfulness of the inner self, nunchi is an awareness of all things outward, including the external self and how you fit into the surrounding situation." I'd like to read more about this subject as the ability to 'read a room' doesn't exist solely in Korea, but here it's presented as being a unique national trait based on non-verbal cues.
I especially loved the section on Korean homes and the different perceptions of status. "Owning a swanky apartment or spacious home in an urban setting is seen more as living the dream in Korean society, than owning a house in the countryside, as many urban-dwellers in Western societies might aspire to achieve." It also introduces the concept of a officetel, which seems to be something like a studio apartment with a workspace originally stemming from legally ambiguous repurposed office space into housing stock.
How to Live Korean is an ideal gift for armchair travellers and K-pop enthusiasts. Due to its useful summaries of art, hobbies, film and music, it's a wonderful jumping off point into exploring other areas of Korean culture.

"Encore un livre sur la Corée... Celui-là, c'est un de ceux que l'on m'a le plus conseillé mais je ne le trouvais jamais en librairie alors le jour où j'ai fini par croiser sa route, j'ai évidemment craqué."

"Soo Kim nous présente son pays, son histoire, son identité, son mode de vie, et tout ce qui peut être important pour comprendre et aimer ce pays et ses habitants..."
Mais que s'est-il exactement passé entre vous ?
"On pourrait croire que je me serais lassée de lire des livres sur la Corée ou que j'aurais l'impression de lire toujours la même chose mais ce n'est pas le cas. Peut-être parce que j'ai eu de la chance, peut-être parce que j'ai bien choisi mes lectures ou peut-être parce que ça m'intéresse trop. Je ne sais pas dire. En tous cas, celui-ci est un des meilleurs et des plus approfondis que j'ai pu lire et je l'ai vraiment trouvé passionnant. Il est varié, couvre de larges sujets, on a même quelques recettes ! Et puis, j'avais hâte de lire un livre sur la Corée écrit par une coréenne (même si elle a grandi aux USA, décidément les livres traduits du coréen sont quasi inexistants chez nous). Après tout, qui de mieux placé pour nous parler de ce pays et de sa culture et ça se ressent dans le livre. Mais il y a aussi un aspect auquel je n'avais pas pensé, un peu de parti pris peut-être... Il y a sûrement des choses que l'on voit mieux de l'extérieur..."
Et comment cela s'est-il fini ?
"Si je devais apporter une piste d'amélioration, je dirais qu'il manque une carte de la Corée dans ce livre, qui aurait été plus que pratique à consulter lorsque l'auteur décrit différentes parties du pays, mais à part ça, il valait vraiment la peine que je le cherche dans tous les rayons des librairies !"

I absolutely loved this beautiful book! It feels so cozy and takes you to a calm and intriguing journey to Korea. I really enjoyed the way the author writes - it feels as if a friend from Korea is taking you around their home - it feels so warm and also so objective since the author shares her own personal thoughts and observations. I can clearly see that the author has truly dedicated herself to providing the best information, she has perfectly covered many important topics from different areas of life in Korea in a very pleasant and easy to read way. So if you are a fan of korean culture and want to know more, while feeling super calm and cozy, as if you are in a safe and comfortable trip, this book is perfect for you. If you already know many things about Korea, I am sure you will still learn new things and meet the country and culture trough the perspective and emotions of the author which is so great - this book has personality and that, in my opinion, is making it so valuable! To me, reading "How to Live Korean" was such a pleasant ritual of taking some "me time", while enjoying the beautiful emotions, knowledge, peace and inspiration the book gave me. I definitely recommend it 😊
