I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Emery agreed to go on a blind date set up by her best friend, but was stood up. After waiting for a ridiculous amount of time for him to show up she decides she’s giving up and going home. While trying to find a quick way out of the bar she runs into the seriously yummy Porter, literally.
Instant attraction and willingness to learn more about him has Emery agreeing to a drink with Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome.
Porter is an ex hit man out for revenge, what he didn’t count on was Emery. Seeing her, he knew he wanted her and set about getting her. While he knew he shouldn’t be selfish and out yet more people in harms way, he couldn’t help himself.
All in all a good read. Straight to the steamy, then immediately into the drama - only to slow waaay down. Felt a little monotonous to me, which is what brought this from a 4 star down to a 3.

Damn how hot was this book.
Emery at the beginning seemed like a timid women who liked to go to work and to go home and that was it but damn, as the story got going she came out of her shell and turned into a badass.
Porter, from the moment he entered I loved him, I still loved him at the end, if not more so.
Filled with danger and heat this book at it all and I absolutely loved it, I couldn't put it down, I was on the edge of my seat throughout.
Amazing and highly recommended

Leah Holt did a great job on this story, Bound had a strong plot that was packed with many emotions, the story was written well. Porter and Emery were strong characters. Their journey may not have been the easiest, they went through a lot, many ups and downs but they were fighters, they made a strong pair. They were good for each other, the connection between them was strong, they were drawn to one another. Their chemistry was off the charts, it was steamy, they were great together.
This was a great story. Thank you, Leah Holt. Great work :)

Emery is stood up for a blind date and she is trying to get out of the bar when she runs into Porter. Sparks fly but what will happen when she sees a whole other side to him? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters with intense chemistry and an entertaining story with plenty of twists and turns. I liked it.

This book caught me from the very first chapter. If you have read my reviews before you will know I love me a good bad boy. Mafia ex-hit man falls right in that category. He is super sexy and as the book goes on he gains more and more kick ass qualities.
I enjoyed the book. It was a quick read, full of suspense and dark pasts. Maybe it didn’t feel as natural as the book went on but a good book.
This is a good weekend read and one that will definitely raise your temp.

This story is excellent, it’s well written,fast paced, intense and suspenseful. When Every’s blind date is a no show, she didn’t expect her night would end up with a hunk of a man Porter, who unbeknown to her is a professional assassin for the mafia. When Porter kidnaps her after someone shoots at them he says it’s to save her life, Every knows she must escape from Porter’s clutches, but a bad decision finds them both in danger. As the story unfolds they find they have more in common, not to mention the chemistry is HOT between them.Porter is keen to escape his past, not an easy task to leave the mafia, and is Every really ready to start over again?? Is there someone closer to home that could upturn everything?? So many uncertainties, with only one ending, which you will find when you read this book.

I received an ARC review for my honest opinion. All typos and strange word sentence structure were ignored as I read this book, the author has a person for that I'm sure, so I didn't take that into account while reading.
This is a love story with a little murder. I enjoyed reading about Porter and Emery. Porter hasn't had an easy life and this left him to choose a wrong path in the beginning of his life. Emery seemed as if she was cut off from the outside world and guarding herself, because mainly that's what she had been doing. Both are transformed during the book and each of them start to grow, Porter more so than Emery, but he did have the most to grow from.
The ending allows you closure and a small glimpse into the future. At first I felt I wanted something "more" when it came to the closure, but after consideration, I find the closure I got was just good enough.

Wow! This story had so much going on it was hard to put down.
Mafia hit man Porter and a women he meets at a bar collide in an intense way till it goes sideways. Emery was willing to throw caution to the wind and is hit her being a witness to murder. Emery knows nothing of the man she went in the bathroom with just how it ended, a man dead on the floor. This is not how the night was supposed to go. Things get crazy and now Emery is stuck with a man who's name she doesn't even know. What happens now for Emery?
I enjoyed this story a lot. The story was well thought out. Leah brought us Porter the made hit man and Emery the woman who didn't realize she was missing out till she met Porter. A must read if you like mafia genre stories with passion and a happy ending. Leah is a talented writer and knows how to bring a story to life. She gives you angst and passion with emotions you can feel from the characters. This story was written my favorite way,both main characters point of view.

I loved the story - Porter , the proverbial bad boy - mid twenties and a top mafia hit-man runs into Emery and they connect but not in the normal way. She witnesses a shooting and he kidnaps her to keep her safe. She gets badly injured in a car wreck so not only does he have to get her somewhere safe where the mafia guys after him won't find them, but he's battling an internal battle as well as a nasty stepfather.
Fast paced and so enjoyable - Leah never fails to produce a top story. When I see a book with her name on the cover I know I'm guaranteed a great, riveting, old fashioned honest-to-goodness enjoyable read. Highly recommended.

I got this as an ARC book and I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. Emery at the beginning of the book seems weak and more introverted but once she meets Porter the sparks fly. Learning who Porter was and what he was capable of pulled her right out of her shell. The plot of the story is a little confusing at the beginning but once you get into the story you won’t be able to stop reading because you will want to know hats going to happen next. I don’t want to give the story away and would love to read what happens next, if another book is written to continue on with this one. Reading Bound and finishing it left me wanting to read a sequel....Leah is a great writer and I can’t wait to read what else she has written.

This book was Outstanding! The characters were great. The storyline was great and flowed smoothly. I loved getting their POVs throughout the story. It provided more depth and understanding about the characters and why they do the things they do. Their meeting is by chance. Their chemistry is insanely hot! There is plenty of danger, secrets, lies, angst, trouble, twists and more. Their story will keep you on edge. You will be glued to your kindle to find out what will be happening next. Do they get a HEA? Will his past interfere? Can she love all of him? Can he accept hers? Check it out and see for yourself. Highly recommend! I will be looking to read more from this author!

Porter and Emery story starts out strong and continues o the final page. Porter is a hitman with a "moral compass" that gets him in trouble with his boss. Emery is just in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong guy. Though she sees too much, Porter is determined not to make her someone's next hit. The book has excellent pace, the characters had depth and were compelling, and the story's twists and turns keep the reader engaged from beginning to the very end. Another 5 star read by Leah Holt.

Excellent read!!
Emery was just getting ready to leave a bar after being stood up by a blind date when she literally runs into a very handsome man, Porter. She has a drink with him and things get heated in the bathroom when they are interrupted by a man with a gun who plans on killing them both. His target is Porter, Emery is just a witness therefore collateral damage. Porter kills the man and forces Emery to go with him, to keep her safe he says. This is a wonderful story and I highly recommend it!

This was a mystery and a romance and a relationship book all in one. The first half of the book has the reader wondering if Emery would survive and who Porter really was. Then as events unfolded so did Emery’s feelings for Porter and an understanding of who he really was and why he was as he was. With a stepfather like Franco I am not surprised Porter did what he did. Thank goodness for his mother Jo, she is a real sweetheart. The ending was such a shock but the epilogue was lovely.

I have to say, the beginning of this book was a little slow for me and trying to figure out who Emery and Porter are as characters took just a little bit of time. Emery in the beginning seems very meek and introvert but she definitely becomes a butterfly as the story progresses. Porter is a man of mystery with a troubled past and present. You get a bit of mystery within this book as well which made the journey worth the struggle in the beginning.

Emery's blind date standing her up led her to meeting Porter, probably the last sort of man she should be with. But there's no denying the chemistry between them. Can she handle the real Porter? I loved the suspense plot and the steamy heat between these two. Both were intriguing, strong, and tough enough to withstand the crap being thrown their way, and the twisted secrets kept me burning the midnight oil!

Porter is a mafia hit man who just can't do it anymore, unfortunately his boss doesn't agree. He meets Emery in a bar and they end up in the men's room going at it. Then the madness begins. Running away and dragging Emery with him, they begin their relationship in the worst possible way. A real page turner, with action, suspense and romance. Everything you could ask for! I loved it and recommend it.

I totally fell in love with bad boy Porter, and honestly Emery was pretty bad a$$ herself.

Porter and Emery’s story has everything a good romance novel should have. It has the romance, sex, good guys, and bad guys. But the connection of the mail couple is what drawls you in. You can see Porter is into Emery and Emery into Porter from the first time they laid eyes on each other.
I definitely recommend this book. I think it is a very exciting story.

So I just finished reading Bound and I did enjoy it. I loved the relationship Porter had with Jo. No matter what he did she still was there for him. Porter only became what he was was because of the way his childhood shaped him to be. Franco was a dick! I did like the epilogue...it was sweet.

I really liked it. The interesting part it's the story behind the choices one makes, how they transform somebody ans how love heals all the wounds and males the sandness go away.

Such a great story. I really enjoyed it. Porter and Every were quite the couple. Such chemistry from lust to hate and everything in between. Such a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I did not expect what happened at the end to happen. I was shocked. I love hea. I definitely recommend this book.

Great book featuring a reclusive heroine and a reformed hitman. This has lots of action and steamy romance. It is a fast read and has lots of laugh out loud moments. I love when he puts his foot in his mouth. It has some dark moments as well.

Porter and Every...
Their story was incredible. These two have such a strong connection that you can really feel throughout the whole story. I thought the story brought excitement, drama, and a well written storyline. One of my favorites from the author!

Strong and Amazing
This story I wasnt sure at first. Then it started getting really good.when They meet it was suppose to be fun and them his world crashed in on them bring them even closer then ever. Amazing story all the way through.

I enjoyed Porter & Emery's book. Good chemistry. It was an entertaining & fast-paced suspenseful drama. Great book. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
