About the author

Quanna Lashae was born and raised in a small town in Virginia. She found a love of reading and writing at a early age. She wrote her first story at the age of 10, and read different books each week. After relocating to another state alone and starting life, and having her first child, she lost her way for reading and writing but still enjoyed it. After dealing with many of life's challenges, she began to write again to take away the stress. She wrote her first book The Power of Our Love, and submitted it to a major urban publishing company, whom she stayed under for a while and then found a permanent publishing home. She is working on more work each day and plans to be a voice for many of her readers, who go through life's obstacles. "When the voices speak, I put it on paper. Sigh!

I decided to read this based on the title and description. Big mistake! There was so much that I didn’t like about this story. I’m annoyed that I wasted my time. How is Kamp such a “boss” with the captain of the police on his payroll but couldn’t locate Ronnie. What kind of foolishness with the marriage of Miley/Lauren and Ronnie,the secret underground gang,CJ,the ex and Kamp’s affair with an paternity in question. After the paternity the ex wasn’t mentioned again. Too much different storylines to keep up. Lauren reuniting with her ex,getting kidnap,Jasmine and CJ’s issues...sigh. I had to skip some pages.
The concept of the story was okay,just too many people with story lines that was just exhausting.

Great Standalone

This book was still good from beginning to end. Held my attention and I couldn't put it down. Really enjoyed these characters the first time around and I enjoyed the new twist and turns even more. I'd love to know what happens to CJ and Jasmine. Hopefully, well get a follow up or spin-off for the wedding and baby of Lauren and Kamp. Still a great standalone, just better. Great job Quanna Lashae.

Ok read

The story was ok, not sure why Kamp's ex came back into the picture for 5 minutes regarding a baby that didn't belong to him or his brother. Lauren/Camille worked my nerves with her bad decisions. Ronnie was crazy. Dreya was a good friend. Jasmine still not sure about her and why she decided to be a strpper?? Glad CJ and Kamp worked out their issues. Assad was a good cousin! The chemistry between Kamp and Lauren was not exciting at all....no sexual chemistry!!

Even Better

This book was even better the second time around. I'm glad that it has a ending now. I still love Kamp and LoLo and glad they got rid of Ronnie because I don't think she would have left well enough alone. She would have came back again probably harder this time around. I don't know if I believe Jas or not. I believe she was doing more than lap dances in those private rooms. I think CJ would be better off if he just moved on.💛💛

I was so happy when Lauren opened up to let Kamp help her. Dreya was a good friend that Lauren needed. I was side eyeing CJ cuz i thought when things have finally gotten better the BOOM his Shenanigans began again. He redeemed himself and was the big bro Kamp needed. I'm sorry but I don't like Lauren. She was too shady,shiesty, disloyal and sneaky. She freaking hot on my nerves. Then to bring up the incident with Mekka after what she did girl bye. She played victim way too much. Kamp was too forgiving on her frfr. CJ needs to leave Jasmin right where she at. Drugs and stripping. Nope she can't be trusted. Overall good read

This book was good and it held my attention from the very first page. I was happy when Lauren finally let Kamp in and let him help her. I was happy that Cj and kamp made up. I definitely enjoyed this standalone.

From the get go..i felt bad for him. I couldn't believe his girl and his brother did him like they did. But when he found love with milly.. it made all the sense but all the nick names i loved it especially Lolo and then Jase ven used Lolo as her stage name..great job
