Provocation

Rate this book
Love and hate. There’s a fine line between them, and Nate and Leila have tested it for far too long.
Nate has always tried to mask the depth of his feelings for Leila for one reason—she’s his little sister’s best friend and a royal pain in his ass.
Leila always looked up to Nate until he became someone she wanted nothing to do with—the rich, entitled elite.
If they only knew their love-hate relationship was just the beginnings of their problems.

“Says the Whore of Babylon,” Nate ground out.
“I’m not a whore,” Leila spat. “I’m...relationship challenged.”
“Meaning?”
“Meaning that I don’t waste my time on one man if I know off the bat that he and I won’t work,” Leila drawled, irritated.
“Maybe if you gave them more than one night you’d find you were acting too hastily. Or possibly date them before f***ing them. How novel an idea that is, eh?”
“Why does my sex life interest you so much?” Leila asked. “Is yours so dull that you have to snoop around mine to live vicariously through me, or do you simply enjoy demeaning women for sport? Perhaps that’s why all your ex-girlfriends left you. Or maybe because your d**k’s minuscule compared to your inflated ego.”
“At least I’m not a gaping crevasse threatening to suck in the population of the Bay Area with the gravitational pull your cavernous p***y maintains. I’m a bit concerned at my proximity to it, to be honest.”
“I’m done with this bulls**t.” Leila slammed her drink down on the nearest flat surface before heading toward the door of the sitting room.

R.K. Knightly is a pen name for a civil servant based in the San Francisco-Bay area. Born in New Jersey, she moved to California in 2007 with her husband, a San Francisco native.
First interested in poetry from a young age, she wrote her first short story in second grade. It was a little mystery/thriller she drew the pictures for. Her teacher, Mrs. Michaels, told her mother that she should think about writing as a career, though she should probably look into hiring an illustrator for the art work. Ms. Knightly took journalism classes throughout high school and creative writing courses in college.
A lover of all genres of books from autobiographies to sci-fi, Ms. Knightly started writing erotic romance in early 2018. After a few months and two books, she came up with an idea for an erotic supernatural romance which has become popular on the Dreame app. Now she splits her time between the two genres, though her most popular works on Dreame are her supernatural novels.
In her spare time outside of writing, Ms. Knightly spends times with her fabulous extended family.

All here books are great, I find them fun and unique. She does not disappoint with the 3rd book in the series. You’ll laugh, you’ll feel with the characters, with the drama, fun and romance, just be warned, if you are into erotica this book and series is erotic with the right amount of story you will love this book.

It’s the second book I discovered from this author and it was also the first « non fantasy » one... well needless to say I now need to read all the other books in that serie (kinda did it backwards there but hey... it worked)
The smut, the tension, their chemistry that is so snarky and funny... I loved it !

Love the story. It's full of action and will take you on an emotion roller coaster (but in the best way). Such a talented writer and she has a way of getting you invested in the relationship so that when there is a dip in the relationship you feel it tug at your heart strings. This is probably my favorite of the conquest series, although all of the stories from this writer are amazing.

Loved the book. Initially I hated the way they both fought each other. It was heartbreaking for me. But then, I loved the way the story progressed. Definitely worth it. 👌
