Burdock, Burglary & Beltane's Eve

Rate this book
With the Great Feast, stories of ancestors around the Grand Fire and celebratory dancing around the Maypole, Beltane’s Eve had always been Blaise’s favourite festival.

However, this year’s promise of good fortune is exchanged with the promise of impending murder.

When a rare, precious and poisonous potion ingredient is stolen from Sally and Kolton’s Apothecary & Potion Store, Blaise, Sally’s familiar, knows it’s a race against time to find the thief.

Can Blaise track down the missing ingredient before it’s used to murder and harness the victim’s powers?

Burdock, Burglary & Beltane’s Eve is the first short story in the Familiars, Mysteries & Furballs series and is linked to the Witches, Mysteries & Coffee Syrups series which follows Blaise’s witch, Sally, and her adventures.

This is a wonderful 'feel good' read. Written from the 'familiar's' point of view, Agnes Reed smoothly winds her felines in and out of the mystery at hand. She captures the movement and personalities of the two main cats as if they were your own purring friend pefectly. The main character's dilemna, trying to be the good little wife, which required burying who she really is, in the shadow of her warlock husband is a new twist. A delightful read!

A delightful introduction to a lighthearted and magical cozey murder mystery series.Agnes Reed has a lovely way of bringing a little magic into your life through her entertaining clean and well written cozey of mayhem , with vibrant characters stretching from one world into another. Acquire " Burdock, Burglary & Beltane's Eve " so you yourself can enjoy it as much as I have. 😏🤔😲🙂Kat

A theft at a magic store leads a couple of witch's familiars on a mission to restore peace to the community.

A lovely quick introduction to a series that sounds very sweet and mysterious at the same time.

I enjoyed the witches familiars that stopped something really bad from happening. It was a fun book.

This was a fun read. The story was told by Blaise (the witches familiar). He and Titania (another cat) solve the mystery

It's a quick mystery told from the (cat) Familiar's viewpoint trying to find some stolen poison before the murder can happen.
