Ask Me Later by Lisa Suzanne

Ask Me Later is Lisa's contribution to the upcoming anthology My Night with a Rockstar. It was a quick and delicious taste of what will become a full-length novel later this year. From the very first page I was a goner, hook, line and sinker, I was reeled in and couldn't put it down.

Tyler Caldwell and Danielle Watson used to work together as teenagers. He was a scrawny band nerd, and she was the beautiful girl that he had a massive crush on. He asked her out time and time again, and she would always reply the same... "Ask Me Later."

Fast forward ten years. Tyler is now the bassist for the band Capital Kingsmen, and Dani is the acting manager for the arena he's set to play in. Had Dani known that he would go on to become a sexy rock star, she might have said yes to him back then. But she won't make that mistake again, even if it's just for one night.

Nobody writes rock star romance quite like Lisa does. She writes with so much intensity that her characters spring to life from the page, gripping you to the edge of your seat. She knows how to draw the reader in and torture them just enough to keep them coming back for more. Five stars for Tyler, Dani and Ask Me Later!

♡ My review is for Ask Me Later by Lisa Suzanne ♡

In the upcoming anthology- My Night With a Rockstar, Lisa Suzanne's contribution, her short story- Ask Me Later, is a temping taste of what will become a full length book in December '20 and will surely leave you wanting so much more.

Tyler Caldwell, talented bassist in the band Capital Kingsmen, caused quite a stir when he appeared in Lisa's last book, The Replacement War. I wondered at the end of it, would I ever see this funny, hunky, hot rocker again somewhere in Lisa's expansive romance world? Happily, the answer to that is a resounding YES! I'm doing a happy dance right now, just can't help it!

Her newest offering, featured here, was filled with so much tingly anticipation as the former high school friends lock eyes on each other again, unexpectedly, in another place and time. Tyler was a band geek back in the day and Dani had a secret crush, but oh my my, how things have changed for them now!

Dani sees exactly what she's been missing, one smoldering, sexy move at a time, as Tyler literally rocks her world and manages to leave her breathless, all these years later! The unfulfilled promise of what might have been explodes into a scorching, hot one night only reunion that will leave them both wishing that somehow, it could be more.

After an evening in the presence of this swoony, charming man, I am now counting the days, hours and minutes until Tyler and Dani pick up where they left off here and bring on whatever steamy goodness comes next in the full length version of what will undoubtedly be a story to remember! Would you expect anything less from a talented romance author like Lisa Suzanne??

An early version of this story was provided for me to read and honestly review.

Review for Ask Me Later by Lisa Suzanne:

As always Lisa manages to pull me into the story from the get-go. I can't wait to read more of Tyler and Dani. This snippet was already so good, by the end I was craving so much more. I can't wait to read their book later this year! Hopefully we'll also be getting some scenes from their past. I would love to see how their dynamic was back then and see them crushing on each other. So looking forward to this standalone!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Rock by L A Cotton:

It’s been official for a while but damn I just gotta say it again... I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES, this world and these characters!! There is just something that completely reels me in and I just want more more more!

Rock is a prequel novella for Levi and Phoebe’s book, Ruin, coming November 17th! It’s everything you want in a prequel, a taste of the story without giving too much. You get to see the characters meet and how they click. You get a taste of what’s going on in both’s characters lives and at how their story might play out.

This is a sexy, entertaining and also a tad emotional story. But what else would we be expecting from Levi?! Gah I cannot wait to read this book! I need it!

5 stars - Ask Me Later by Lisa Suzanne

Well that was quite the hot little intro to Tyler Caldwell from Capital Kingsmen……and the blast from his past, Danielle. They worked together many years ago and now she just happens to work at an arena where his band is on tour. He always asked her out when they were younger, and she always turned him down (which now she totally regrets!) – but she wasn’t about to let the opportunity pass her by this time. In just a short amount of time, the sparks were flying and the chemistry was off the charts! I love these two characters so much already.......and I can't wait to see what twists and turns Lisa throws at us in their full-length story!

5 stars - Wild Love by Kacey Shea

I really loved this short story from Kacey Shea! Wild and Simone are on quite the different paths in life, but that connection they instantly formed was just something special. Love how Simone took her friends advice and threw caution to the wind when spending that night with Wild. I hated that they couldn’t have a proper goodbye…….and since I know there is more coming, I cannot wait to see how they find their way back to each other!

My review is for ASK ME LATER from Lisa Suzanne. Tyler is the kind of guy you might have flirted with back in the day but if you could see 10 years into the future and see the handsome, tattooed bassist you too would kick yourself in the butt for him letting slip by.

Dani gets another chance and this time she isn't wasting time. The question remains what happens when the morning comes? Can Tyler and Danielle work even though he's a huge rock star and on the road? We will get to find out when we get more from these two. If this is the kind of stories in the collection that rock fans get ready to run to the stage for the best seat in the house. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Bass(ment) Wars by Alyson Santos is a short story for “My Night With A Rockstar” anthology.

Eli went to look for a quiet place at 4 am to make a phone call and he is stuck in an old theatre with a sexy girl, Marina, who brandishes a broom as a defence weapon.
The attraction between them is powerful and Eli is almost elated that she doesn’t recognize him.

I enjoyed this glimps in the life of Eli, NSB’s bassist. I was content in the end but you know when an author is talented as Alyson Santos with her rock stars her words are never enough and I so wish she writes a long novel with these characters.

This is for Lisa's excerpt/story of "Ask Me Later."

OH. MY. GOSH.

THIS IS FUNNY, BEAUTIFUL, HOT, AND GORGEOUS! :D <3

At Carne's, the saying is "Guacamole, fajitas, chips- the salsa makes me do backflips!" For teenage friends Tyler Caldwell and Danielle Watson, this was their go-to saying while working together. Dani was a hostess, and Tyler was a server. He'd ask Dani out a million times it seems like, and she would always give the same reply: "Ask me later."

Fast forward ten years: Dani is working as back of the house supervisor in one of the biggest arenas in Milwaukee, until her boss calls her and says to cover for him as house manager. While greeting the band 'Capital Kingsmen,' a voice startles her and sends shivers down her spine- Tyler's. But Tyler isn't the nerdy dork he was when he was sixteen; now, he's a twenty-six year old man. "A hot, lean, sex rock star of a man." And he's ready to rock Dani's world, if she's willing to let him.

Will she let him, or will Tyler once again be told "ask me later?"

If I could give this a thousand stars, I would! And THIS IS JUST THE EXCERPT! :D

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WHOLE BOOK! <3 <3 <3

This review is for "Ask Me Later" by Lisa Suzanne

Rockstar's are my favorite and Lisa is one of my favorite rockstar writers. She knows just the right amount of steam to write into a book and still have a really great love story with humor and drama. So naturally I'm hooked right from the start. What's not to love ... a hot rockstar and a girl from his past who's down on her luck. Lisa gives us a taste of Tyler and Danielle and I can't wait for their story to continue.

Tyler and Danielle used to work together and he constantly hit on her and she always said "ask me later". Well it's years later and if Dani had known that Tyler would become the hunky rockstar that he is, she might have said yes way back then. But if he asks again, she's not going to refuse him ... even if it's just for one night.

I read Ask Me later By Lisa Suzanne.

Wow this story was truly amazing, I loved how short it was and how Tyler was a different guy then when reading him in the replacement War. I freaking love Dani. Shes this amazing strong woman and Her POV was great. The words flew up at me off the pages and I couldn't get enough I cant wait to read more about this Band. Normally really short stories that leave me on a cliffy don't do it for me well Lisa really blew my mind I sat down and couldn't stop reading. Loved it to pieces.

Ask Me Later
This is a touch of Dani and Tyler’s story. I need the rest of the story!! It is crazy that ten years later Dani meets Tyler again where she is working and he is in a band. It was so cute hearing about them when they were in high school. They only have one night so what will happen? I strongly encourage you to read this book so you can get the preview of the full book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Ask Me Later by Lisa Suzanne

I’m Hooked!!

This is a short story that has left me hot and bothered with undying hope for Danielle and Tyler. Danielle didn’t even recognize the hot rock star stepping off his tour bus as the guy she knew years ago while they were working at an eatery together. He’d always ask her out and she would always tell h8im to ask her later. Well, it looks like later has finally arrived!!

Even though this was a short story it left me wanting for more from this couple. I can’t wait to read more on Dani and Tyler’s story and see if it was only for that one fleeting night or if they have much more chemistry to discover. This will definitely be a one click book for me!!

Burning Lucian by Anne Mercier

This is definitely a book I’m looking forward to. Aria and Lucian had a good thing going until after a weekend together Lucian left and recorded a “Dear Jane” song of how much he missed her and needed to follow his dream as a singer. Now thirteen years later was payback time. Aria and her friend, Lana got tickets to one of their concerts and she planned to do to Lucian the very same thing he did to her…including a parting song.

This book had all kinds of hotness and with the payback version I cannot wait to see what comes in Lucian’s story in book #1 of the Burners. I’m so excited for it!!

This review is for Lisa Suzanne “Ask Me Later”. Oh boy...I’m not sure where to start. All I can say is cliffhanger queen. I thought short stories had a beginning, middle, and an end. NOPE!! This will have you wanting more!! I’m loving me some Tyler and Dani. Thank you Lisa for making the connection quick. 😂 I can’t wait for the rest.

This review is for J. Bengtsson's Ripple Effect

Because I always want to know: WARNING**This story has a Cliffhanger**WARNING That being said, this story will be worth the wait.

Who knew that California Natural Disasters made for such great rockstar romance. J. Bengtsson does. First it was Like the Wind where Bodhi tries to outrun a wildfire after hiding out. Now it is Ripple Effect that has RJ getting all shook up in an earthquake.

The reader is blessed with a hilarious backstory about RJ and Dani, making this story amazing from the beginning. No slow burn. No get to know you slowly over time. The beginning is just one quick witty moment after another that had me happily turning page after page.

When disaster strikes Dani’s quick actions make all the difference. Dani will make women proud.
RJ matures in a matter of minutes. Together they make an intense moment very entertaining. The reader will have to wait to see what happens in the rest of the story, but I am okay with that.

My review is for "Ask Me Later" by Lisa Suzanne.
Rockstar romances are my favorite genre and I am excited to read the entire anthology. This prequel is the story about Tyler, a famous rock star who connects unexpectedly with Dani at the arena where his band is scheduled to perform. They have not seen each other for 10 years, however their chemisty is immediately off the charts. What will happen the next morning? I can not wait to read the upcoming book to experience Tyler and Dani's relationship journey.

My next review is for "STORM" by Michelle Mankin. First I would like to commend and thank Michelle and all the other contributing authors for a very special collaborative project. This prequel to an upcoming book had me from page one. Storm and Lotus are childhood friends. He leaves when they are teenagers to persue music. Zoom to present day and Lotus and her friend Sophia go to see a band at an event where she hooks up with the guitarist of the opening band. He seems familiar somehow...
Oh my gosh I want more and can not wait to read the book and the entire anthology.

Lisa Suzanne - Ask Me Later - Danielle has her job cut out for her when a blast from her past is part of the band she needs to set up at the venue she works at. Tyler might be a band member now but she knows him as the co-worker from a local Mexican restaurant. He had asked her out numerous times before and her steadfast answer of "Ask Me later" turns into so much more when he is now on the edge of stardom. Will she still push him off or will this be the right time. Loved this short story that had the perfect combination of great characters with a Rockstar twist.

My review is for Hate F**k by Jane Anthony. My girl can write Rock Star like no other! Well Maribelle and Lizard (yep, you can guess why his nickname is Lizard) have a Hate/F**k relationship! His rock band is good, but still looking for their lucky break. Maribelle is tired of being used for free rent for two years and not knowing when he will be home. Or if he even really cares as she has begun to.

The passion between these two was firey hot! Their connection was palpable and I loved that we were given dual POVs. This story was short but didn't feel rushed and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Can't wait to see what else is in this amazing anthology!

“Ask Me Later” by Lisa Suzanne:

I was completely blown away by this short story! It was amazing AF and I’m totally ready for more! Good news is this short story is a prequel to Tyler & Dani’s story coming in a few months!! Their chemistry together is hot while they spend just one night catching up from the past 10 years. But is it enough? Can it be more than one night? Ask me later!

What a wonderful anthology - who doesn’t love a rockstar? When I got the chance to read Bass(ment) Wars, it was a no brained, it’s no secret that I love everything Alyson Santos. I’m so glad I got the chance. It was such a funny, sexy, and cute read. NSB’s Bass guitarist Eli Blake happens across Marina in the basement of their next venue. Not recognising Eli, Marina thinks he’s a homeless vagrant. To make matters worse, they get stuck down there for hours, what an earth will they do to pass the time? What a swee, funny enemies (maybe not enemies, but they did not like each other) to lovers (well maybe just a one night stand) romance (of sorts). This is a wonderful insight into Eli Blake, and I most certainly hope Alyson Santos writes a full length novel for him. A quick, easy, fun read. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

My review is for Burning Lucian by Anne Mercier

Anne Mercier has been teasing us with Lucian forever it seems and she's finally giving us a peek into his story.

I love that Aria starts off strong from the beginning. Lucian left her years ago to pursue his music. Just. Left. She's not the same girl he left behind and it's time to show him how strong she has become. A little revenge is in the cards. One final night with the man that still makes her melt.

This picks up at the end of Melody and Styx (timeline wise) and it's great to see cameos from our favorite Falling Down band members.
