Andreas de Wolfe is the second-eldest de Wolfe grandchild. Son of Troy, he has inherited his father’s comely looks, his aggression, and his talent with a sword. The man is born for battle. But he is picky when it comes to women, the reason he’s not yet married. Unfortunately, when he does fall for a woman, Andreas sets himself up for a hell of a situation... and it could cost him everything.

It’s an all-out battle on the Scottish Marches as the de Wolfe Pack is called to war, the prize being Andreas’ very life.

Having been sent to London on business, Andreas de Wolfe finds himself in a unique position when his task is finished – leisure time. Seeking a diversion, he ends up in a mysterious underground gambling establishment that is full of scandalous, and dangerous, behavior. Those who enter must wear masks and names are never to be revealed. Anonymity prevails.

Enter Gavriella de Leia.

A beautiful young woman with a tortured past, Gavriella is brought to the gambling establishment by her ribald cousins. In her haste to find an exit from the terrible place, she runs into Andreas, who can see through the mask to the frightened young lady beyond. He calms her and an easy flirtation develops. Not even the masks can conceal the powerful attraction building between them. They make a date to discover the truth about one another, but Gavriella never shows up.

Andreas returns home, despondent.

Three months later, Andreas is called with the de Wolfe army to defend a lesser ally from a vicious enemy and Andreas realizes the daughter of the ally is, in fact, his beloved mystery woman. Her father is a long-time ally riddled with madness, and Gavriella is out of her element trying to handle his affairs. Andreas wants to know why she never showed up that day in London, but the truth is more than he bargained for.

In fact, there is something much more sinister afoot.

The truth behind Gavriella is far darker than Andreas could have imagined and he soon finds himself swept up in the horror she is linked to. In the lowlands of Scotland a devil lives, one that wants Gavriella for his very own and will stop and nothing to get her.

It’s all swords on deck to help Andreas save the only woman he has ever loved… or die trying.

💋

A really enjoyable and exciting new book from Kathryn.
This is Andreas’ story, and his love Gavriella.
It’s more of a whole life story really not just a love one.

It begins before he’s even born, not long after his conception, and with his father and Grandfather at odds.
Continuing through his meeting his love, to the fight for her hand.
It’s beautifully written and enjoyable reading.

Full of tension and passion and chemistry, with a battle or two thrown in for good measure.
This is a LeVeque Epic, quite a long book, 450 Pages, but to me the perfect length.

Highly recommended!

Having completed the business that sent him to London, Sir Andreas de Wolfe finds himself with some rare free time. His cousin drags him to a secretive underground guild full of scandalous behavior and indulgence where anonymity is required. There he meets beautiful Gavriella, who has been dragged out by her wild cousins. She’s desperately seeking a way out of the labyrinthine guild and runs into Andreas. He immediately comes to her aid and senses an instant connection. The two plan to meet later to learn each other’s true identities in the daylight, but Andreas is left sitting alone with no Gavriella.

With no reason to remain in London, Andreas returns home to Northumberland, but all can see he’s different and depressed. After months of fighting in the midst of a Scottish clan war, Andreas is sent to lead an army to protect a smaller ally from the powerful Scots. He’s shocked to learn that the lady of the castle is in fact the woman he met in London. With her father sinking into madness, Gavriella is struggling to hold things together and when she’s finally honest with Andreas, it’s more and darker than he’d guessed. Andreas is undeterred in his determination to have Gavriella but first he must keep her safe from the devilish enemy who pursues her.

Wow this book was a lot. There’s action and battle but there was also quite a bit of internal brooding from both MCs which slowed the pace and was at times repetitive. The writing was a bit clunky and had me skimming over some highly detailed paragraphs and this was such a slow burn as to be painful. That said, Andreas was incredibly sweet and though this was insta-love for sure, I couldn’t help rooting for him and feeling sad for his being separated from Gavriella after waiting so long to feel a true connection with a woman. I wanted more comeuppance for Gavriella’s awful family but all the revenge taking was mostly focused on the outside villain, whose plot against Gavriella herself made no sense. Nonetheless, I loved that Andreas was so protective and accepting of Gavriella, I just wish her father had received more punishment than a lukewarm set down. I did love the camaraderie and open affection among the de Wolfe men. I always go all soft at big, strong men being tender and loving. This book was rather too long for me, but I appreciated that it was fairly low angst given the plot and their separation and after that initial debacle of a meeting, there was no game playing. Gavriella in the first part of the book almost seems like a different character altogether in the second half, but I assume this is due to her recovery from a traumatic event and her initial hysteria and hatefulness toward Andreas have the same cause. The pacing of this book also threw me off a bit as we get perspectives from different characters and that was at times jarring and frustrating to be pulled into the different storylines when I was just getting into others. I liked the action elements here, but the pacing still felt incredibly slow and the actual romance between Gavriella and Andreas was told rather than shown and felt very flat to me.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am absolutely loving these de Wolfe pack generation books.

This one features Andreas, son of Tray. Andreas if a formidable warrior, he’s also a gentleman and is late to take an interest in marriage. These de Wolfe boys don’t just settle for a pretty face they need to find the one. And Andreas finds his in the most unlikely place imaginable.

Gavriella is beautiful, intelligent and kind but she’s been dealt a bad hand. She suffers a violent rape resulting in pregnancy. She gets no support from her father who labels her a whore and sends her away to London to hide his shame.

Where she’s left to deal with her horrible and jealous cousin Aurelia. She’s taken to a place of dreams and debauchery by her cousins. They’re familiar with the place and soon Gavriella finds herself alone. She panics and tries to flee but gets lost. A gentleman comes to her assistance.

Their journey is not a smooth one but that’s what makes this interesting. I loved these two and really wanted everything to work for them.

I really disliked her weak and spineless father. But I suppose dealing with him made her into the woman she is today. And that’s a woman perfect for Andreas.

Can’t wait for the next one now....

***Caution-news of a past beating & rape***

Medieval 1255 AD, going forward. England and
at the border of England and Scotland. This had
a sweetness & one scene of making-love. Gave
this 3 stars.

Adreas, called "Dray" was a great knight/ warrior.
At age 37 and at a wild anything-goes London club
with his cousins, he saw a lady in distress. Men had
pawed at her & tried to make her dance. She was
caught in the maze of the rooms, unable to find the
exit. Two female cousins ( 1 too forward w/ men)
drug her to this club. She, Lady Gavriella, distrusted
men and chose not to share her name. But Dray took
her out of the club and to the better part of London.
She saw him a few times after, but one day she
stood him up. These 2 had a physical and emotional
attraction.

Lady G had been kidnapped & raped. (Thankfully few
details supplied). Her father Lord Merek called her
"damaged goods" & blamed this on her!!! He sought
no justice for his dtr. Duh?! He forced her to stay with
her aunt & two cousins (who chided her for being a
'country girl') in London. Aunty, after a time, kicked
her out & sent her back to Merek. 6 months on, she
met Dray again.

Dray was a man of few words but protective of women
& selective of women he wanted to know better. I liked
some minor characters IE Bayth, Brodie & Will. The latter
2 Tray considered like brothers. And trusty, honest Sir
Lukas, leader of Merek's 800 men.

What stood out?
* Too many characters, most w/ monikers. Who was
related to whom? Who allied w/ which other families?
*Based on a past event, Merek should have arranged
super protection of daughter at all times. A heartless
father.
*Boys will be boys. The purging game & Helm of
Shame- gross-not funny.
* Would Dray of the excellent warrior rep & excellent
family wait so long to marry? No matter the reason.

The "helm of shame"....omigosh, I'm still laughing every time I think of it! I adore getting swept away in a Kathryn Le Veque story, she sure knows how to keep our interest with her written words. Her books are always filled with adventure, humor, excitement, danger, and the honorable men who will fight to the death to reach their HEA with their chosen mate.

I so enjoyed Andreas and Gavriella's story and it was also fun to see so many of the other characters from previous stories. I would truly love to be adopted by the de Wolfe family!!! lol Andreas is strong and yet can be quite sensitive and I loved how patient and loving he was towards Gavriella. After what had happened to her, he was exactly who she needed in her life. Of course, there's always those who try to interfere but they do get their just rewards!!!

I was given an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Andreas de Wolfe is every inch the warrior he was born to be.  Coming from the greatest family of warriors England has ever seen.  He has been sent to London on business and a little free time sees him and his compatriots discovering some of the more diverse entertainment the city has to offer.

Cavriella de Leia has been sent to London in disgrace.  Through no fault of her own she had a child out of wedlock and her father can't bear to look at her.  Her aunt and cousins are not the most welcoming family to stay with.  One late night adventure that she never wanted will take her to her worst emotional place yet,  but maybe it will bring about a turn in her luck.

As usual with this author's books, the depth of the characters we meet draw us in from the first page to the last.

There is a lot of emotion and giggles galore.  The men of all ages sometimes behave like little boys. When the fighting starts though you can almost see each blow.

Even if this is the first book you have read from this author you will fall in love with the characters and want to read many more.  Each book has it's own story but you will visit with friends from other books.

I loved every page.

Mega fan of Kathryn Le Veque. Read all her books set in medieval period. This one was eagerly anticipated and read quickly.

A little longer than the recent books she's written. But not an issue.

This is one of William de Wolfe's grandsons, Andreas's, aka Dray, story. He is in London on busines with his cousins and friends where he reluctantly attends a place called Gomorrah! Yes as in Sodom and Gomorrah, there he rescues a hysterical lady desperately trying to find her way out of this unsuitable dive of sin. Gavriella and Andreas arrange a "date" the following day where they enjoy each others company whilst maintaining their anonymity from each other. But Andreas is keen to know more of this mysterious lady, who clearly is hiding something, who he is drawn to. Sadly she stands him up on the second date and Andreas return North to lick his wounds.

Ok now KLV brings back the de wolfe cousins, friends. We have Norvilles, Hages, de Velts, and more of the great medieval families that she has frequently written about as they have inter married and served as squires together at each others great houses. In fact Andreas and his cousins are staying with his diplomat uncle Edward de Wolfe in London.

It is very much a "boys in London" having fun story until they return to the North and then have to enter into battle with the Scots on the border where they switch into hardened experienced competent fighters. This time KLV returns the full might of the family, including the eldest three sons of William de Wolfe; namely Scot, Troy and Blaythe.

Andreas and his lost date do meet again quite accidentally and he discovers her horrendous secret; rape, and a resulting child. It makes no difference as they profess their love for each other. All ends with a battle, wedding and the entire family supporting the union. Yeah!!

Once again I loved KLVs writing, it moves smoothly without long tedious descriptions, she writes enough to give you the pictures and you can vision it. e.g. Loved the description of Andreas bathing and dressing for his "date". That was a new approach as the detail is usually the woman's dress! Equally his friends teasing and supporting his love interest without being too crude.

I have noticed she writes far less steamy descriptive encounters and wonder why as she did an excellent job before, e.g. the Executioner series the H & h are in bed well before marriage vows! Now she comes across as tamer in the sex scenes.

The women of the deWolfe family are in serious danger of being forgotten as characters and only slipped in - it seems - as an afterthought.

She is also well behind writing about a female de Wolfe, as the primary Heroine, the last one being Penny (Penelope) the youngest daughter of William de Wolfe.

All in all I really enjoyed this book and will read it again. Highly recommend.

Couple of spelling mistakes e.g. 'here' when it should have been 'her', am beginning to wonder if I just expect these automatically now.

WolfeBlade by Kathryn Le Veque is vintage Le Veque. A knight, a lady in trouble, love, and a happy ending. Andreas (Dray) was William de Wolfe's grandson, Troy's son. He was in London on a mission for his grandfather; his two cousins and best friend all had joined him. Each with a mission of their own to fulfill. They were about done when they went to a tavern called The Pox for an evening of fun. They had it, of a sort, and then, his friend, Theodis, suggested another entertainment: a place called Gomorrah where all manner of debauchery could be found. Dray was not taken with it but on his way out he found a young woman (Gavriella) who was even less taken with it than he. She was crabby but grateful for his help. She had come with her cousins and she didn't know her way home. After tramping around for a while she finally managed to drive him away. She found herself at the river. It looked so enticing (based on her mood) that she simply walked in and kept walking. Dray had followed her and seen what she had done. He could not allow her to drown to he took off his armor and protective garments and dived in after her. He saved her but she was not happy. After much travail, they gave n to their attraction and agreed to meet the next day. She had a wonderful time, as did he, although he still knew nothing about her: her name or from whence she came. Nor she about him. They agreed to meet the next morning, but she never came. He waited all day, and the next, until his friends pulled him away and forced him to go home. There is so much more to this story, even at this point.

Dray still had residual pain from his mother being drowned along with his baby sisters, so many years ago. He had never been in love; never able to commit, knowing the pain that could follow. Well, now there was pain. Gavy was in just as much pain, despite the fact that he could never love her; not with her past. Plenty of side forces coming together to make this a love story for the ages. Andreas is a big man, in all ways, above petty gossip and accusations made by others. What was his, was his, and he took care of it. His family was large and loving and he liked it that way; he couldn't imagine it to be anything else. He was shocked when he found Gavy with her father; shocked at the way the man treated her. He is the kind of man we are all looking for: he always puts her first. This was a wonderful story, told by master storyteller, Le Veque. It soars with the twists and turns taken and the people out to destroy the lives of others. How she continues to come up with plot ideas after all the de Wolfe books she has written, but she does and this one is better than ever. Kathryn le Veque rocks!

Andreas de Wolfe along with his two cousins and one of his closest friends, Theodis, were at the Pox tavern, having fun. When Theodis told Andreas about Gomorrah, a secret club, which can make any fantasy, come true. Lady Gavriella “Gavy” de Leia is forced by her cousins to go with them to Gomorrah. Gavy didn’t want to go but knew if she didn’t her cousin would make her time there horrible; Gavy had no choice but to go. When Gavy gets there with her cousin she is appalled at what she sees, people masked kissing, carousing and lewd acts. Gavy tries to leave but can’t leave until Andreas comes to her rescue and gets her out of there. Gavy agrees to spend time with Andreas and gets to spend one glorious afternoon falling for him immediately with him until her aunt finds out and ship her back home. Andreas who has also fallen for Gavy is upset and secretly looks for her. Andreas thinks he will never see her again until he must fight a battle that will pit neighbors against each other and a secret that Gavy holds which could easily destroy Andreas feelings for her.
What an amazingly fantastic wondrous adventurous love story that is well worth the read! There is much to enjoy about the book drama, angst, comedy and a romance for the ages told magnificently! Ms. Le Veque just knows how to tell such an outstanding story filled to the brim with so much that it is hard to not get caught up in the tale too. The plots are nail-bitingly intense; the characters whether they be major or minor seem so real that it’s hard to believe that the story is not all fiction! Andreas, the swoon-worthy strong silent type hero is one of the best and is easily a great book boyfriend. Gavy the feisty determined heroine at first seems a little meek and mousy but in truth is not. She is a lot stronger than what she is perceived to be. Yes, a girl that doesn’t hide from everything and it would be fun to hang out with too. Okay so wouldn’t like a wild night but a person who loves theatre is definitely someone that would be fun to hang out with. This is definitely an emotionally laden story that anyone will not only fall for but will instantly love!

Even though part of a series it is a stand alone story. I've read between 80-90 books by this author so she is obviously a favorite.

Her stories are always filled with so much emotion, suspense, twists that I feel I've used every emotion I have. The beginning was amazing how these friends almost came to blows. It was such a warm feeling seeing William etc again - like coming to the best family reunion.

KLV stories are from the English side, not Scottish. I remember years ago when I first started reading her work, it took me awhile to get comfortable with that aspect. I loved the stories about Robert the Bruce etc, but quickly became a fan of the strong William de Wolfe and the many relations.

There is rape off page but you feel for the h and the aftermath. The H is kind, loyal and has all the wonderful qualities of his grandparents - both sides. This is a romantic tale with strife, sadness too. This writer pulls you into her stories and character's that I feel I am on the sidelines. It's so vividly written, character's with such depth it is a pleasure to read her stories. There is violence and several villains that caused my heart to race.

There are a few typo's, which surprised me, but nothing I couldn't figure out. The Lord's name is used in vain a couple times. Then there is the bawdy song at the wedding - does it have bad wording, yes, but skip it if you want too.

There is lovemaking, within marriage, heat level 3 out of 5. I didn't find it vulgar or erotic, but that is a personal preference, and briefly described twice.

No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, romance and steam. (ljb)

Andreas de Wolfe is fierce in battle and in his life. When he and his friends go to a secret gambling establishment Andreas ends up helping a woman escape her nightmare. Gavriella de Leila has been sent to her aunts house in London away from her father and her dark secret. When her cousins drag her to a gambling hell which turns out to be a horrible nightmare for her, she is rescued by a very handsome Knight.

When Andreas escorts Gavriella home he becomes intrigued by her. Knowing only their first names Andreas finds for the first time ever he finds a woman that he would like to get to know better. Gavriella is enjoying her handsome Knight that doesn’t know who she is or what she has done and agrees to meet Andreas the next day to go to the fair. Spending time together Andreas and Gavriella enjoy their time together even though they don’t know anything but each other’s first names.

Gavriella has promised to tell Andreas who she is when she is sent home in he middle of the night. Heartbroken Andreas will spend however long looking for his beautiful lady.

I loved this story! OMG the first chapter had me laughing out loud! I loved Andreas a big handsome and deadly Knight who will love only once. There was so much to this story and Gavriella and Andreas will face some very trying times. I just can’t say how much I loved this story, it is right up there with my favorite KLV books ♥️. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!

Get ready to swoon for this delicious warrior romance!

The story opens with a banging prologue that dramatically (and hilariously) describes the testosterone-driven world into which Andreas de Wolfe was born. From there, we jump ahead to a now-adult Andreas in London, where he runs across the very beautiful but very troubled Gavriella.

The action never stops, the family intrigue is every bit as captivating as the political villainy, and the love that blooms between Dray and Gavy will make even the hardest heart sigh. These two have a lot of trauma and mysteries to overcome on their way to a truly sublime HEA.

I loved the immediate immersion in this entrancing world, and I was so engrossed that I couldn't put the book down until I was done. The story is in no hurry as the events unfold over a rather lengthy period of time, but the delays are necessary in order to position the characters where they need to be. The author brilliantly transitioned between different settings and different points of view so we get unimpeded insight into all the simultaneous developments.

The story will challenge you to defy its definition of family while it reinforces the power of love to conquer all evil. There are a few truly heartbreaking moments where characters are faced with extremely difficult decisions, but through it all love finds a way and family is the only thing that matters in the end.

This author is among the very best in medieval romance and I highly recommend every single one of her books, including this one. It's an amazing addition to the de Wolfe Pack collection. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

A family with strong loyalties towards one another, the De Wolfe Clan support each other, play together and even mete out their own discipline in a way that preserves strong ties but brings order in their ranks. One cannot help but love them and their extended family. On a business trip to London, Andreas de Wolfe accompanies his cousins to a gambling den where anything goes. However, his distaste for the place has him finding an exit where he meets a hysterical young woman trying to make her own getaway. Despite his initial attraction towards Gavriella, she is nevertheless as prickly as a thorn bush. When Gavriella disappears from London, Andreas feels extreme disappointment, not realising that they are indeed fated to meet. Sent on a mission by his father, Andreas rediscovers Gabriella but with their meeting, the appalling truth about their initial meeting comes out. The story is romantic, and Andreas is a wonderful hero who sees beyond a pretty face. His need to protect Gavriella drives him, even to defending her against her own father. The story is suspenseful and romantic, coming to a very satisfying conclusion. I received a copy of this book from Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Andreas de Wolfe a Wolfe knight born and bred to be a brilliant knight, but he’s prickly about becoming too close to women. After his mother died he knew he could not stand to lose another important women in his life. He’s sent on a mission by his father to London where encounters frighten beautiful young woman in need of rescuing. Gavriella de Leia is brought an underground pleasure establishment by her ribald cousins who quickly abandon her. Gavy is hiding a secret, one her father sent her away in shame, away to forget, but she’s can’t forget. They have a rocky start as we see Andreas protective instincts towards Gavy, he knows she’s hiding something so when she refuses to tell him her name he agrees, but when she disappears he’s lost and vows to find her. Unfortunate circumstances tear them apart. They are reunited months later each needing answers and their love grows stronger. Andreas is a gently giant with a heart of gold, a heart that now belongs to Gavriella. This is an emotional journey where we find the path to love is never easy especially with troubled past and secrets between them. I have voluntarily read and reviewed the excellent book.

Andreas de Wolfe is the son of Troy de Wolfe, and William de Wolfe is his grandfather. Andreas is pure de Wolfe warrior, who has little time for women. Even though he is in his late thirties he hasn't thought much about women and marriage. That is until he rescues Gavriella de Leia. There is instant chemistry between Andreas and Gavriella. Their initial time together takes on a playful banter as neither reveals their last names. In true Kathryn Le Veque style - Andreas and Gavriella are separated without knowing how to find each other. Andreas knows Gavriella is somewhere in the North, but the Scots are also creating problems along the border. Thus Andreas is delayed fighting. Andreas discovers Gavriella by accident when he is sent on a mission by his father.
The story is romantic, full of passion, and lots of suspense. Kathryn has such a fantastic talent of creating characters that just draw you into the story and into their lives. You just feel a part of Andreas and Gavriella's life. Thank you Kathryn for another outstanding story.

Andreas de Wolfe, son of Troy, grandson of Paris de Norville and William de Wolfe, the greatest knight England has known, has grown to be a strong, loyal and great knight in his own right. The one thing missing is someone to share his life with.
Gavriellea de Leia is a women with secrets. When the two meet it seems that the "something" they have both been looking for brings them together. Unfortunately, before they can get any farther life tears them apart. When they finally meet, all of the confusion, fears and secrets come to light. But in the end with the help of family and friends they are able to come together to make both of their dreams come true.

Filled with a lot of old and new characters, (and the Helm of Shame). Ms. Le Veque's newest book does not disappoint. I love how she combines the newest generation with the old to make stories that you can't put down.

another five star read from America's medieval queen!

This book is the fourth book in the De Wolfe Pack Generations series and tells Andreas de Wolfe’s love story. The book begins with a prophecy that has a horrible impact on the life of Gavriella de Leia, who is the heroine of this book. Andreas and Gavriella bump into each other in a promiscuous gambling establishment. It is full of scandal and danger which is very overwhelming for Gavriella.
Andreas becomes her hero. He escorts her out of the building and eventually sees her home. They begin to develop a relationship, but it is cut short by Gavriella’s nefarious relatives. Fate will not let these two lovers be parted. Andreas is sent with the de Wolfe army to assist an ally with a potential Scottish attack.
This was a lovely story that has the couple battling an evil family bent on destroying them. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy Hannah Howell’s Murray Family series or Monica McCarty’s Highland Guard series.
I was provided an advanced reader copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion of the book.

Another enjoyable read of the De Wolfe clan. A woman who is told she is damaged, but is kind, gentle, and stronger than she knows. A warrior who is picky about women, but is protective, understanding, and kind. Both meet one night unexpectedly and after a rocky start, see what there could be. Only knowing their first names, providing an air of mystery, they are drawn to each other. However, Gavriella carries a horrible secret and tried to dissuade Andreas from his pursuit of her. Andreas is a warrior and does not back down from a fight. Gavriella is the woman he has been looking for to be his partner. Unfortunate circumstances tear them apart, only to be reunited months later, both wanting answers and explanations. Can Gavriella put the past behind her to have a future with Andreas? What will Andreas do when he learns the truth?
I received this novel from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A prophecy that would change a woman and child's life is uttered and evil surrounds to bring power to those unworthy. To bring down the House of de Wolfe.

Gavriella de Leia has been abused and broken, then sent by her father to her aunt's house in London. Her terrible cousins take her to an underground place called Gomorrah, which lives up to it's name and she is desperate to leave. A stranger comes to her rescue and leads her outside.

Andreas de Wolfe was in London and he found himself at a an underground gild called Gomorrah at the urging of his friends. That is where he met her and helped get her out of the place when he found her huddled and terrified in a corner. He is a knight and man of honor and also very handsome. Oh yes, very.

As they spend time together, magic seems to happen, but soon evil steps back in and they are separated. Can they come back together and find love?

An intense story full of murder, evil, secrets and villains of the worst sort, but also a chance at a love that will last forever.

His wait for love is over.

Andreas de Wolfe is the son of Troy de Wolfe and his first wife Helene who was killed in a drowning accident years ago. Now at 37 years of age, Andreas has never met a woman who captivated him. Not until he rescued a beautiful and terrified woman in a secret guild of debauchery that neither of them wanted to be in. But Gavriella has a secret and feels undeserving of someone like Andreas and she tries to keep him at arms length. Unexpected events separate the two quickly with no means to contact each other. Andreas is heartbroken. When he is assigned to defend Falstone castle, he finds it is the home of none other than Gavriella. Secrets come to life, an unfit father, a spy in their midst, a prophesy, attempted child abduction, a fight for revenge, and a battle for love make this a great book with all the familiar de Wolfe Characters we know and love.

It's with sadness that I write this review

It's with sadness that I write this review sitting on 54% and unwilling at this point to continue reading. The prologue of the book threw me off from the get go because of, in my opinion, a severe loss of continuity. There was an erasure of an entire decade that was established canon from several books as well as a very detailed dated family tree. So I was thrown into disappointment from the very beginning.
Then the insertion of modern day feminist feeling in a book set in the tail end of the 13th century and my ability to suspend disbelief is completely shattered. I gave 3 stars because I've loved Kathryn's writing, and the de Wolfe family is hands down my favorite, but truthfully I'm feeling less than a star for this book.
This book will sit at 54% DNF for me for the foreseeable future.

Oh my goodness, this book was AMAZING! The plot was unique, the characters were deep and wonderfully well written, and the emotional it makes the reader feel takes from joy and laughter to sadness and tears. This book was a little different from Kathryn's other books because there is no sex until the very end of the book. I also loved how the books prequel tells the story of how Andreas came to be, he was an "early" baby. Both Andreas and Gavriella are strong, passionate people who had to let go of their past, her's is far more recent than his, inorder to find happiness. They also must fight an evil foe destined to destroy her and take everything they hold dear.

I received an ARC of this book and am volunteering an honest review.

Mutual Saviors

Excellent story for Andrea de Wolfe! This story grabbed at my heart for I knew the story of his father, Troy, and his twin brother Scott. I always wondered about him. This was an excellent read for me. Sir Andrea de Wolfe, while in London with his cousins and friend comes to the assistance of a woman while in Gommorah. Assisting her brought various emotions to him, not sure how to take them.

Gavriella de Leia has had a horrific time of it. Now in London, not of her choice, she is still experiencing unpleasant things. To say she has suffered is an understatement. She is nervous at meeting the Knight who offers to help her. There is so much evil taking flight around her life.

Truly loved their story!

Andreas de Wolfe is the son of Troy and grandson to William de Wolfe and Paris de Norville. A fierce warrior in his late thirties, he has never married. When he rescues a beautiful angel, Gavriella de Leia, his heart is hers. Then she disappears. With a broken heart, he takes his pain out on his enemies. Unexpectedly he finds her with a joyous reunion. When her pain and secrets are revealed, the compassionate man beneath the fierce warrior claims his angel and soothes her soul.
I laughed until I could not breathe and cried for their pain. No way could I not give 5 STARS. I wish I could give it more.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Dray and Gavy have a tempestuous relationship to say the least. Until all is revealed, much is misunderstood. Another fabulous read by Kathryn Le Veque. WolfeBlade is book 4 of the De Wolfe Pack Generations series. I do love that in the back, Kathryn lists her Series and the books they contain in order. So many characters overlap and make appearances in several of the books, that it can get confusing at times. Kathryn never disappoints me. I have ALL of her books and the books she has had created in audiobook version. She always uses wonderful narrators for those. I usually get both as the books come out first, then I grab the audiobooks when they are completed. 😍😍😍

An Epic Love Story!
This is my first taste of Katheryn Le Veque's superb talent. I've always wondered what the hype was about and now I know.
She writes an epic story of not only two hurt or damaged main characters but the wonderful, tight-knit family of the De Wolfe.
It was wonderful to read how love at first sight had to go through the angst, sorrow and regret of mutual loss of each other to a major battle and work its way to a happy ever after.
Beautifully written, I lost myself in these characters and their story.
This is a series to be read and I am definitely recommending it.

Reading a Kathryn LeVeque Story is like catching up with an old friend. You already know the people involved and are emotionally connected when you start. That is what I Love about her stories. The comfort, the connection, knowing it will not disappoint, the enjoyment, and the anticipation for the next one.
Andreas de Wolfe and Gavriella de Lela is no exception to the rule. The way the pain and heartache can be turned into a Truly Magnificent Love Story is amazing. With tears in your eyes and warmth in your heart you will not only enjoy but appreciate it you will remember this.

This was a fantastic read. Well written story by the author who writes exceptional books. There was plenty of action, deception, betrayal, heat and secrets. Andreas met Gavy by accident in London. When she suddenly disappears after saying she would meet him, he was devastated. But what he finds out and how her father treated her was more than he could bear. You will love this story and be on the edge of your seat the entire way. HEA

I loved Andreas and Gavy! Gavy shows grace under pressure and they overcome many obstacles on their way to happily ever after. I enjoyed the length of this novel and that details weren’t glossed over. Andreas was a swoon worthy combination of fierceness and tenderness. I love the touching moments with the de wolf clan and flashbacks to William and Jordan in their prime. Once again Kathryn la Veque doesn’t disappoint!
