That’s how I’d describe my relationship with Aiden Heller, the exchange student from Australia. All the girls flock to him as if he’s their shiny new toy. I’ll admit, I’m drawn to him. There’s something about him, perhaps it’s the accent.
He’s a thrill-seeker—I’m not. He seeks attention—So do I, but only from him. He wants to kiss me—Should I let him? Do I trust him with my heart? —I’m not so sure.
Liz is from bright sunny Queensland, Australia. She has always been a reader. When she was little she would be up late reading Garfield and Asterix comic books and also Footrot Flats. When she hit high school she read Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden and from there, her love of books continued to grow. She always has a book to read beside her bed along with a notebook for when inspiration hits at those crazy hours.
She is a stationary addict and a one-click addict. She loves everything books, authors and of course loves chocolate and lollies to keep her going.
I love all of this authors work & this one is no exception. MY AUSSIE GUY, is a college set story between a straight A student & an Aussie exchange guy You’ll love this story right from the first chapter
I did say from my first review of the first book in the series that 'My Guy' was going to be a good series and the 2nd book 'Aussie Guy' is proving me right.
Aiden is a good guy but knows he won't be at college long as he is only in the US for a year before he returns home to Australia so he doesn't want any complications with girls or breaking any hearts. So a little white lie at the beginning of his stay shouldn't be a problem....Wrong because from the moment he meets Elise what he thought was best doesn't seem quite a good idea as he first thought.
Elise likes the Aussie from the moment she meets him but she has been hurt one to many times so is happy to keep him at arms length but that is easy said than done — she has to keep reminding herself Aiden is only around for a short time.
I loved the way this story blended together with both wanting to do the right thing for the right reasons.
If there was one thing missing for me though it was an epilogue!
I enjoyed the first story of this series so was interested to see how this one played out and it was a cute sweet romance story. It has an insta-love vibe which isn’t usually my thing but it didn’t bother me so much as the timeline was drawn out a bit more than the usual 24 hour insta-love stories. Aiden being an Aussie was well done-it wasn’t just a passing thought. I enjoyed the story but missed the steam-fade to black isn’t my thing. Other than that this is a great quick read. The characters were good together. And I’ll definitely look out for the next books in this series at some point.
What a sweet, love story. I was taken with the two lead characters from the very start... Elise was a straight A student very dedicated to her studies but also her friends, Aiden a sporty hot exchange student from Australia. Their attraction was instant and it made for a very cute and romantic love story. Mistakes were made and hearts were broken but this is a happily ever after so the reconciliation made for some very hot and steamy scenes. A quick read but a very entertaining one, I look forward to the next installment of this wonderful series.
A straight A student, a Aussie college guy over for the semester what a adventure to be had or a disaster yet to happen.
Elsie is an outgoing beautiful woman who has yet to find her guy. Aiden is the Aussie guy traveling for a year abroad, who doesn't want to get tied down in a relationship while traveling. Aiden is using this time in his life to decide what he wants out of life.
What starts out as a lie becomes more, but will Elsie ever find her guy? and will Adien's secrets destroy them both. I enjoyed this book about young love yet to fully develop.
This is the 2nd book in this series and is Aiden and Elise’s story. Aiden is an exchange student from Australia who is only in the US for 1-year. Elize is the same of the other girls who as swooning over him, with his sexy looks and Aussie accent. These two are drawn to each despite being total opposites, and with the limited timeframe. This is a well written story which is a sweet love story, with heartbreak, and which all leads to an all-consuming and engaging tale. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all readers.
Elsie and Aiden are both young college students who are attracted to each other. The only problem is- Aiden is an exchange student from Australia!
Ah, young love! These two characters have their heads screwed on properly for the majority of this story and it’s such a pleasure to read a sweet love story. I liked both characters especially Elsie’s sassy comebacks and the way she stood up for herself. Aiden is, generally speaking, a stand up guy too. Making mistakes is a part of real life and so having errors in decision making makes this story more realistic.
I was a little disappointed in the shortness of the story as I feel more could have been explored or expanded on. It’s still a sweet romance though and I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting with the characters from Monday Night Guy, book one. I look forward to reading about Dane and Paislee in My Forbidden Guy, book three.
Liz Lovelock has done it again! I really enjoyed reading My Aussie Guy. Book two in the My Guys series; My Aussie Guy tells the story of the sassy but studious, Elsie and exchange student, Aiden. It is a light-hearted read with some very witty banter. I was drawn in from the very beginning and finished the book in one sitting.
This series has been a lot of fun to read. I can’t wait to see where Liz Lovelock takes us next!
Like usual, the author has done an amazing job, even if she leaves you wanting more 😉 the characters draw you in and you just can’t put it down. With appearances from past favourites and a look into future books and their characters, the book draws you into its own world where you never want to leave. 10/10 yet again!!
When Aussie guy Aiden rocks up at Elsie’s school she is like the rest of the females, she is drawn to his good looks and wicked accent. But Aiden is only there for a short time so will Elsie let him into her heart? Beautiful story, great characters, loved the flow and banter. Another great story in Lovelock’s My Guy series.
A little rough to read if I am honest. The writing style is amateurish. It doesn’t flow well. And was a bit over the top. Some times it felt like things were being said cause it’s cool not because it fit there. The storyline itself was cute but just moved really slow then it was all ok and ended. Just didn’t like it much.
A cute young adult story. This is the second installment of the My Guy series but can be read as a stand-alone. This follows Elsie and Aiden’s story and their adventures. Do they follow their heart and their attraction or do other things get in the way pushing them apart?
My Aussie Guy is a great college read that kept me going from beginning to end. Liz Lovelock knows how to weave a good storyrunning the gamut of emotions and leaving you with a smile on your face at the end.
It started off cute but it kinda fell flat for me. I felt like Elsie overreacted a lot. It also felt kind of unfinished to me. A big problem was Aiden was eventually going to leave but we never got to see what his actual decision was.

Love love love Elsie and Aiden. Though I did want to slap him at one point. I live Elsie she is a “firecracker” doesn’t let anything go and lives a dare. Read in about 3 hours couldn’t put it down.
Such a fun, flirty read! I love Elsie’s sassiness and how she never backs down from a challenge…especially Aiden’s challenges ;-) And all the characters that make up her group of friends are so likeable and fun! This is a fantastic, lighthearted read!
Wow, what a wonderful college romance. Aiden and Elsie are both college students that have an undeniable pull to each other. There is only one small problem Aiden is an exchange student from Australia and could only be there for only a semester. I absolutely loved the quick witted banter between the two of them and how fierce and feisty Elsie was through out the story. It also touches on how lies can damage a relationship. I loved Addison and how protective she was of her friend Elise. The only thing I wished that it was longer and expanded on what happened after his Visa has expired. 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
