LETTERS TO EMILY
Two years have passed since Lady Emily’s beloved Maxwell went to fight in the war. With only letters and one hot night of loving to keep her warm on the coldest of nights, she tries to embrace the future after learning of his death at the Third battle of Picardy. One way to forge forward is to marry his twin brother, Marcellus Alexander Wynwood, The Marquis of Blackthorn, a man she does not love, but one who rouses dark needs in her.
Marcellus wanted Emily from the first moment he saw her two years ago, but had watched from a distance as his brother Max charmed her into falling hopelessly in love with him. In her state of grief over Max, Marcellus ensures her needs are met, breaking down her barriers, tormenting her with wicked erotic loving as he slowly binds her to him.
Despite this, he fears he will lose her once it is revealed that her beloved Maxwell lives. Marcellus prays Emily can surrender to his needs and soul deep desires.
I am an unapologetic romance lover. I read it. I write it. Enough said. Well..I also have a warrior way "Never give up on my dreams." I spend a copious amount of time drooling over Rick Grimes from Walking Dead, watching Japanese anime and playing video games with my love, Dusean.
Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night: H returns from war to bang the governess and dirty talk her into a quivering jelly. They are torn apart by the forces of society and his magnum dong. 4 stars
Mischief and Mistletoe: Callie’s mother and Graham’s father slowly dance around each other while Callie seeks to encourage the match which Graham opposes. Then the future step-siblings bang. 2 1/2 stars
Letters to Emily: After World War I, Emily is still crying about her boyfriend who she boned once. After agreeing to marry his dark and brooding twin brother, they do the horizontal tango too, broodingly. 3 stars
Wicked Deeds on A Winter’s Night 5* Oh I loved this story of Primrose and Gabriel! It had it all, passionate romance, heartbreaking moments and uppity relations. Primrose was the governess and not thought suitable for a second son of an earl, Gabriel. They were such engaging characters and I enjoyed the connection between the two of them. Mischief and Mistletoe 4* This is a case of a matchmaker getting caught out. Callisto was determined to work on the attraction her mother felt for the Earl of Deerwood. She knew her mother was shy and she thought to give her a push in the right direction. Unfortunately for Callisto, the earl’s son Graham was equally determined this wasn’t to happen. The more time Graham and Callisto spent together the more they fell for each. I enjoyed this story very much, Callisto and Graham were both forthright characters. Graham has been enjoying the bachelor life but now it left him feeling empty. He hadn’t thought about marrying in the near future but could his feelings change this? However, all is not straight forward, as their parents complicate matters. Letters to Emily 3* This was my least favourite of the stories. It is set in the 20th century. Marcellus and Maxwell were twins and complete in touch with each other’s feelings and needs. Emily was the woman they both wanted. When Maxwell’s death was reported during the war, Emily was distraught. Marcellus is there for her but Emily feels guilty about her feelings for Marcellus. There is a secret that Emily has not been told, will this make a difference? There are snippets about the change that is happening in the world at this time. I received a copy via Booksprout and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Scandal is a anthology of 3 super steamy historical romance novellas by Stacy Reid. All of which are forbidden romances: the first is a governess romance with the son of the Earl she works for, the second is a romance between a couple about to become step-siblings, and the third is a romance of a heroine and her late fiancé’s twin brother.
•Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night Primrose is a governess in an Earl’s home and is having a secret love affair with the second son of the family, Captain Gabriel Northcote, who has been away at war and has just returned home when the story starts. While he was away at war in France, Gabriel sent Primrose an erotic book so she could study and be ready for all the sensual acts he wants to partake with her. 🔥🔥 His first night back they spend a steamy, dirty-talk filled winter night together and he is determined to tell his family of their secret engagement in the morning. His family of course wants to keep them apart but this couple’s passion is too hot to handle. I loved that regardless of the obstacles for the couple to overcome to be together in the end, the hero stayed true and would not give up the lovely heroine.
•Mischief & Mistletoe Callisto just wants her widowed viscountess mother to be happy again and notices she is interested in their neighbor, an Earl. Her mother and the Earl both seem to be too shy to make the first move, so Callie plays matchmaker at the Earl’s Christmas house party and tries to nudge the two together. The Earl’s son, Graham, catches her and thinks she’s up to some social-fortune-climbing and sets out to stop her. He sees this isn’t the case and along the way they find themselves attracted to one another & give into their passion. The next day their parents announce they are getting married and Graham’s father insists that Graham keep his distance from Callie now that she’s to be his step-sister. Of course this couple can’t resist one another and soon are together for good. This novella is steamy but super sweet too! 💕
•Letters to Emily Holy moly this one was super kinky! 🔥🔥🔥 Emily is hopelessly in love & engaged to Maxwell when he is sent off to war. When he has gone missing and is presumed dead, she is devastated. His twin brother Marcellus has always been on the sidelines loving Emily from afar and steps up to ease her heart & mind now that Max is missing. While Emily had a sweet romance with Max, she is finding Marcellus brings out all sorts of erotic passions she didn’t know she wanted. But Marcellus has a secret...he is afraid he will lose Emily once he tells her that Max still lives. But there is even more to this story when Emily finds out she is the woman both men love, want and need. Max & Marcellus share a special bond they want to clue Emily in on and this gets real kinky real fast. 👀🔥
4.5 stars 💖 This collection has me kicking myself for not reading any Stacy Reid earlier because damn, she knows how to write a romance! I really enjoyed all three of these steamy forbidden romance novellas.
Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night - 4⭐ - Primrose and Gabriel have amazing chemistry between them, the sex scenes in this one are so hot! I loved the connection they shared and that Gabriel didn't even hesitate about making it known that Primrose was his, even though he knew there'd be backlash. The family drama was a bit much imo and I found myself frustrated by that aspect of the story, but that's mostly just because I couldn't bear to see Primrose and Gabriel separated!
Mischief and Mistletoe - 4.5⭐ - This one was so much fun to read. Callie is a determined matchmaker and I loved seeing how she tried to bring her mother love, such a sweet and fun aspect. Both Callie and Graham care so much for their parents and I loved that it was this which brings them together. Their relationship development was done so well, both characters are intrigued by each other from the beginning but I loved seeing their feelings develop into something more.
Letters to Emily - 5⭐ - Reading the description I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this story but it ended up that I couldn't get enough of it! The letters at the beginning of each chapter were such a nice touch to be able to see, I loved seeing how Maxwell had always been thinking of Emily. I loved being in Emily's head and seeing how conflicted she was about her feelings for Marcellus. It was clear to see she felt bad for the way she felt for him but also couldn't deny it. I haven't read a romance quite like this before so I found it really different and intriguing. This one is also super hot, the sex scenes in here are v good!!
This was a really good anthology of hot and forbidden love novellas from Stacy Reid. If you like Stacy Reid (love her!) and want a slightly more erotic historical Christmas reading experience, then she delivers this gift for you. Currently on KU!
Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night - A governess is secretly engaged to a second son away at war. He sends her an erotic book to study while he's away. When he returns, his family conspires to keep them apart. I love the hero's constancy here - he never wavers in his devotion, and I found this one the most emotional of the three.
Mischief and Mistletoe - The lightest of the three, with some ight hearted Christmas matchmaking antics. The daughter of a widowed viscountess plays matchmaker. The son of the Earl being match objects to the girl's meddling. But soon there's a whole stepbrother/stepsister forbidden love situation happening.
Letter to Emily - This was the most intense and kinky story. It takes place in the 1910's with Emily's fiancee dying in the War, and his twin brother is left to care for her. Then, it turns out the fiancee is not dead, and in fact the twins share some sort of magical bond where they feel each other's feelings and experiences... including their sexual experiences with her. Emily has to come to terms with this unexpected revelation.
• collection of 3 holiday novellas (~100 pages each), all forbidden-love historical romances #1: Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night — governess falls inlove with the son of the Earl she works for #2: Mischief & Mistletoe — Callisto & Graham are about to become step-siblings but that won’t stop them from giving into their passions #3: Letters to Emily — Emily falls for her late fiancé’s twin brother, Marcellus, after Max is presumed dead • my favorite story was the third novella, whew! 🤤🫠😮💨 • they’re all fast-paced, packed with heat, some fun twists (especially the third one!) & lotsa festive fun! • steam 5/5 — in 300 pages, the steam comes quick and it doesn’t stop 🤣 I loved both the quantity & the quality hahaha
These were SO MUCH FUN OMGOSH! If you want to read some steamy, entertaining and high-tension forbidden holiday romances, this collection won’t let you down 🥵
disclaimer: I don’t really give starred reviews. I hope my reviews provide enough information to let you know if a book is for you or not. Find me here: https://linktr.ee/bookishmillennial
WICKED DEEDS ON A WINTER NIGHT I am always a sucker for class differences and the rich boy who falls for the girl no matter if she's a governess and his family tries to keep them apart. Of course, Gabriel was kinky and Primrose dug it so heck yeah for their HEA.
MISCHIEF AND MISTLETOE This was my favorite or the three stories because it was the most romantic for me. Graham and Callie are perfect together and I adore the kisses he gives her on her forehead and nose.
LETTERS TO EMILY This one ticked all my kinky buttons. The time, setting and the twins. Oh what is Emily to do when Maxwell and Marcellus both want her and want her...together .
I always love the way this author includes using every hole possible during sex. Kudos to you, Ms. Reid. Kudos indeed.
Wicked Deeds in the Night 2 ⭐ Mischief & Mistletoe 1.5⭐ Letters to Emily DNF (I just couldn't when he told her he'd fuck her right in the first chapter and his motive was that he knew his brother was alive (even though he was presumed dead by everyone but him) and he wanted to alleviate his brother's lust via their telepathic twin bond?!)
2.5 stars. So disappointed. I had adored Stacy’s My Darling Duke, but this wasn’t for me.
While the stories had a whiff of mistletoe, they’re not warm and cozy Christmas reads.
1. Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night contained over the top melodrama. 3⭐️ 2. Mischief & Mistletoe suffered from an historic inaccuracy that undercut the HEA. 3⭐️ 3. Letters to Emily depicted a trope I had deliberately avoided. Stupid me, I missed the innuendo in the summary. 2⭐️
WICKED DEEDS ON A WINTER NIGHT: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A sweet, sexy, intellectually erotic romance. Primrose is a governess in the Earl's home teaching his youngest daughter. She was always treated warmly and kindly. Gabriel was the second son and fell in love with Primrose. He left for war for two years leaving behind a promise to marry her. I was impressed that Primrose lived with the highest of discretion. She was the daughter of a baronet but both parents gone she had no one nor dowry nor connections to recommend her. But she loved Gabriel with all her heart. I was so surprised that Gabriel had a fetish and sent Primrose a book from France that dealt with the forbidden in her society. She devoured the book twice. So, when he came home, she would not disappoint him. It was impossible not to giggle at the attempts Primrose made to comply. She was an innocent and not use to it. Now that Gabriel was home, he reassured Primrose to announce to his family their betrothal and wish to marry. He was cut off by his family. Primrose and Gabriel settled in a cottage but one-night Gabriel was burning up with fever. She had nowhere to go for help except to his family. They took him to the manor and refused Primrose access to him. They were to be married that very day. Day after day she walked the miles to find out how he was. She was turned away at every time. His mother lied to her and she walked away for good. Gabriel could not get to her and went after her. He spewed his disgust and disappointment in his family for treating Primrose in such a horrible manor. He left and searched for her. Primrose had a new perspective and needed to see him. She returned to their cottage. When she woke Gabriel was sitting there with his cousin the Vicar. They married. But that was not the end of the story. This is an emotional roller-coaster ride, a fast read and a page turner.
MISCHIEF AND MISTLETOE: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Callie gets into mischief matchmaking her mother with their neighbor the Earl. She noticed that they like each other but because her mother is very shy knew she needed to nudge her a bit. Caught in the act by the Earl's son Graham he thinks she is a fortune hunting social climbing woman. He also thinks that her mother is in on the subterfuge. As Callie explains that it she alone and no one else. Graham finds Callie interesting instead of being mad at her he was intrigued by her even attracted to her. He fought these new feelings but the more he got to know her the more he started to care for her. When their parents decided to marry the Earl forbade Graham from pursuing Callie. He tried to distance himself and they were both miserable. He finally came to his senses and recognized he loved Callie. But what to do about his father? And what to do about the scandal that would ensue if they united? An interesting story.
LETTERS TO EMILY: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sensual, erotic, masterfully sexy, passionate and loving. Twins Marcellus and Maxwell both fell in love with Emmaline/Emily. Emily at first fell in love with Maxwell. But when he was declared dead from the war department she fell apart. Marcellus tried to tell her he was still alive and he would find him. She did not hear him. Marcellus comforted Emmaline everyday she grieved for Maxwell. She eventually became more and more comfortable around him not knowing he was in love with her. When Marcellus found Maxwell in a military infirmary, he ensconced him at a neighboring estate. Max was severely ill but forbade Marcellus from telling Emily he lived just in case he didn't. How would these emotionally in tune brothers find a way to keep Emily for both of them? Surprises galore in the telling of this story. A must read.
I have read and reviewed books by this author for a while now, and she rarely disappoints. I happen to adore holiday romances in particular, and this set of steamy Christmas historical romances ticks all the boxes for me. In the first story, I love the constancy of the hero. He knew he loved her from the start and let her know. He was unwavering. I love that in a hero. My complete review for the second book is below. The third book was particularly fun with a twin brother love triangle. Both men came to have feelings for the heroine, but one brother stepped back when it was clear she loved his twin. But things change between them when they find out that the brother was killed in action. Marcellus, the surviving twin, now has a chance with his ladylove, but what will happen when they find out that the other brother has, indeed, survived? Well done and steamy stories, as I've come to expect from this author.
Here's the full review for Mischief & Mistletoe:
At Cross Purposes I have read several books by this author, and like the other ones, I found this one a joy to read. I thought it was fun that the heroine, instead of focusing on her marital prospects, wanted to help her widowed mother with an excellent match. She knew her mother was already interested in someone, and it was mutual, but things were not progressing as the daughter had hoped. I also thought it was great that the hero was very protective of his father, the earl who is the love interest of the heroine's mother. The son and daughter are at cross purposes, as the son believes that the heroine’s family are fortune hunters. But things get steamy between the younger generation even as they try to promote or protect. The hero is a bit of a rogue and not matrimony minded at first, though he does come around, of course. And I absolutely loved it near the end where he acts in such a Darcy-like, perfectly swoon-worthy way. I like the idea of having dual romances in a book, especially with different generations. What fun! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that I felt like it started with an information dump, which I never like to see in a novel. Other than that, I like the premise of this book and the four main characters; I also like the idea of adult children most wanting to help or protect their slightly older parents.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
WICKED DEEDS ON A WINTER NIGHT - 4.5 stars I started this box set because it said it has steamy stories. This was one of them. If I review the steam factor then this one is a 4.5 stars read. The story was just okay. I like how he trusted her and her actions but I didn't love his family. They turned very quickly on Primrose especially when she needed them most. I just couldn't believe their actions. To some degree, I understood but still! The way they treated her wasn't what a family so connected and kind should do! Frankly, they looked like a nice family but weren't at all. I hoped Primrose wouldn't forgive them!
MISCHIEF AND MISTLETOE - 2 stars My least favorite of the books in this box set because it wasn't steamy at all. It had one sex scene but the rest was more heartwarming story which is not something I needed at the time of reading. Callie wants her mother to marry an earl but finds herself smitten with the earl's son. Honestly, the mother at times looks completely disinterested in the earl so I just couldn't see a love connection between them. Imagine my surprise when the earl announced their engagement. Callie and Graham were stealing kisses here and there. After one of her schemes went wrong, they were trapped in a cabin for four hours. They had sex in those moments. I didn't feel connected to them and I felt like it was a big jump from them stealing kisses (and her running away from them) to just suddenly jumping in a bed together and then leaving as nothing happened. His father announced his engagement a day (or maybe a few hours) later. So they suddenly became aware they would be sister/brother even if not blood-related. His father forbade him to chase Callie and he left the estate only to come back a week later and announce his love. Ughh, you can see why I didn't like this book much, right?
LETTERS TO EMILY - 5 stars Probably my favorite in this box set. Perhaps because it was a menage story (MFM/MF) and I like to read them here and now. The bond between twins was unimaginable at times because how can someone feel when the other twin is having sex? I could believe them having an emotional bond so deep, just not a ''sensational'' bond if that makes sense.
Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night Captain Gabriel Northcote, second son of the Earl of Fairclough, returns home from the war to claim Primrose Markham, his sister’s governess as his bride. Although she is beautiful and intelligent, his family disapproves (vehemently). When Gabriel falls gravely ill, the family refuses to allow Primrose to care for him; they won’t even let her see him. Convinced he has been betrothed to another, Primrose disappears with a broken heart and a little secret. Has Gabriel’s family succeeded? Let us hope not! An endearing hero and heroine and a story that requires you keep a hanky nearby make this tale one that wins a spot in the book of love.
Mischief and Mistletoe Callie Middleton believes that her mother and the Earl of Deerwood are attracted to each other. A Christmas house party is the perfect place to play matchmaker and give them a nudge. The Earl’s son is suspicious of her motives, so he follows Callie around to keep her from causing mischief. These two spend enough time together to form an attraction of their own. Is it possible that two matches might be made? Of course, not all ever-afters come easy. What’s the hitch and how is it solved? This is a happy, heartwarming holiday tale with wonderful characters, a scheme worthy of Santa’s elves, and not one, but two chances at happily ever after. I enjoyed it and happily recommend it.
Letters to Emily Emily is in love with Maxwell, but has not seen him since he left for war two years ago. She has clung to hope in the letters he wrote. When word comes that Maxwell is dead, both Emily and his twin brother Marcellus are devastated. Marcellus takes care of her. They become intimate and think to marry. When Maxwell returns, secrets are revealed and Emily is angry and distraught. The twins have a strong and somewhat odd bond. They both love Emily and want them all to be together. Can she accept this lifestyle? The storyline and characters in this one are strong and unusual. I suppose happily ever after comes in many forms. And it seems this one is a family tradition. An interesting read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout. My review is voluntary.
This is a collection of three books all by the incredible Stacy Reid. I was lucky enough to have read all three books before, but when I received this book I read them all again just to enjoy them once more. Here is my review for each of these books.
Wiched Deeds on a Winter Night – This was one of the first books I read from Stacy Reid and I am so glad I have. She writes stories of romance with heat that it sizzles. From the beginning Gabriel told Primerose he loved her and wanted to marry her. He was always sure what he felt for Primrose his feelings never wavered. Because of this the love sections were even more seductive.
Mischief and Mistletoe - What can I say, I love ready Stacy Reid books, I enjoy them so much, I have a smile on my face when I am done. This book is about Callie and Graham who parents are attracted to each other. The problem is Callie is trying to be matchmaker and Graham wants to stop her. Because Graham is trying to stop Callie from interfering, they are put in each other’s path a lot at a house party. I just thought Graham and Callie were cute together, they teased each other, their interaction made me happy. You will enjoy this short read and will enjoy every minute of it.
Letters to Emily - Wow! This book is Hot, Sizzling, Sensual and many other words I can not think of at this moment. This is a story about Love. Love between twin brothers, Love between a man and a women and Love between a women and twin brothers. It is hot, but there is also a story in this. A story of loss and sadness. Maxwell and his twin Marcellus both fell in love with Emily, but Emily was in love with Maxwell. Maxwell went to war and they were told he died. Emily and Marcellus were devasted, Marcellus took care of Emily and tried to make her happy. I cannot tell you anymore, because you must read this to understand. This book with three stores by Stacy Reid is a bargain at any price, I know you will enjoy it. I was given an ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion.
A terrific box set of three sizzling regency romances
These three fantastic steamy regency romances are typical of Ms. Reid’s writing. Great characters, wonderful engaging plots, hot romance with desire, passion, and love. The plot details capture period descriptions, catchy dialog, and real situations. You should not miss the box set.
“ Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night” – Returning from service in the Crimean War, Captain Gabriel Northcote is there to claim Primrose Markham. They have loved each other since childhood and they think that the tim for their betrothal is at hand.. Gabriel’s parents do not approve and his mother even has found him the “perfect bride”, Lady Beatrice. There love is unbreakable and even Gabriel’s family can stand in their way, His conviction and her principals lead the way to true love.
“Mischief and Mistletoe” -- Callie Middleton is working on matching her mother with Graham Sherbroke’s father, who seem to be attracted to each other. Trouble brews because Callie is promoting the match and Graham wants to stop it. At a house party, Callie and Graham must be in each other’s company almost continuously with the result is that they become smitten with each other and true love results.
“Letters to Emily” – This hot steamy story has twin brother, Maxwell and Marcellus, both in love with Lady Emily. The tale is intense with many surprises up until the end. You need to read this excellent regency romance to find out the ending. You will not be disappointed.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Add this gem to your library! These three passion filled pieces were awesome. May I suggest you get a fan handy because these stories are HOT!! I loved each of these stories, the characters were great, all well-written with passion and love. I hope you give these little gems a place in your library. I did receive a free copy of this story and voluntarily chose to review it. In book 1 “Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night,” we have Primrose and Gabriel having not seen each other for some time meeting in his mother’s parlor. She is a governess and he the second son of the Earl of Fairclough. This would not be a society acceptable match so what will these two do? They fall deeply in love is what but his family is out to destroy it. Super good story Book 2 “Mischief and Mistletoe” has Graham and Callisto going head to head. When I first read this one I could not believe what these two were up to. Graham does not want his father to marry because he feels the lady in question is a gold digger. Callisto on the other hand feels that the match between her mother and Graham’s father is a match made in heaven. There is a bit of fantasy to this one with her pappy in the clouds (no I am not going to explain you just need to read the story) What Callie did not know was that fate had a few idea too. And finally “Letters to Emily” has Marcellus who is a bit evil and he wants Emily so badly. He lies and these lies may destroy everything. This story is full of twists and the characters were very interesting. The tale is also full of passion and it has of fantasy too. This is because of the bond that twins have but in this case, it may be just a touch stronger than expected.
Mischief and Mistletoe Miss Callisto Middleton desires to see her mother happy and decides to give her a little push at a house party. Graham, Viscount Sherbrooke is just as determined to rescue his father. Callie and Graham end up at cross roads trying to help their parents. He feels her mother is after his gathers money, but Callie knows they’re both in love just afraid to show it and risk having their hearts broke. At every turn Graham shows up to interrupting her plans, but ends up falling for the one woman he can’t have. An excellent story I voluntarily read and wrote this review. Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night Miss Primrose Markham has been in love with Lord Gabriel Northcote most of her life, but due to their different stations in life she knows their love has to be a secret. Theirs is a love that can no longer be denied after one wicked night of passion on a winter’s night their love can no longer be denied, but will they continue to allow their families stand in their way of a once in a lifetime love? Letters to Emily Maxwell and his twin Marcellus both fall in love with Emily. Emily loves Max and then, he goes off to war and sends love letters home to Emily. She learns he has died then and she and his twin Marcellus grieve for him. Marcellus continues to take care of her, they become intimate and she falls in love with him. Then Max returns home and she finds herself in love with both brothers. A captivating story of tragedy and the love between brothers and a man and a woman with a few twists when Max returns. A great group of novellas with extraordinary love stories.
❄️❄️ONE SENSATIONAL BUNDLE❄️❄️ Tootin' tensile Rudolph! Stacy brought out the big guns for this tough as nails 100% on point realism, serving up all the sizzling heat, undeniable passion and unquenchable desire, hooking you from the start and reeling you in for the duration, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Observing the taxing trials and challenging triumphs, stumbling through the dramatic twists and intricate turns, catapulting this gem to staggering heights. Every story is steamy, thrilling and intriguing with separate goals, encounters and situations, each different and unique, with all the vivacity and fervor, testing our characters in ways they could have never imagined, thrusting this jewel to life brilliantly. The attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity and ardor, baring the deep emotions and an undeniable bond, binding them to one another beautifully. The characters, banter, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuine charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and graphic descriptions creating an elaborate backdrop that feels as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Fantastic job Stacy, thanks for sharing this amazing bundle with us.
I love this anthology of stories by Stacy Reid, each was great and different from each other. The stories were steamy and with characters who found what they needed even if they didn’t realize it. Primrose and Gabriel was young love but true. They knew and Gabriel didn’t allow propriety/ family keep them apart. Then you have Callisto and Graham who are brought together by Callie trying to bring two others together and Graham trying to keep those two apart. While being thrown together they grow to love even though they fight it. I love the cat and mouse between these two characters. The final story is extremely steamy and might not be for everyone as it’s MFM with twins and the woman they both love. To have two male characters who are completely opposite though twins and loving the same woman, bringing something to her she didn’t know she needed. All these stories provide love through different circumstances around the Christmas time. They each had a good flow and made me smile and hurt for characters while reading them. I will recommend this anthology to anyone who doesn’t mind sex and steamy sex at that.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Scandal is a fabulous holiday historical romance collection by Stacy Reid. Ms. Reid has gifted readers with 3 well-written stories filled with casts of characters that are second to none. The characters make this a joy to read. In Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night Primrose is a governess and is treated well by the family she works for, until Gabriel returns home from the war. Gabriel's family doesn't approve of their plans to marry. Gabriel and Primrose's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. Mischief & Mistletoe brings us Callisto playing matchmaker to her mother and their neighbor. Graham is onto her meddling and tries to stop it. Graham and Callisto's story is full of drama, humor and spice. In Letters to Emily we meet Emily, still grieving the loss of her beloved Maxwell. Maxwell's twin, Marcellus, has been in love with Emily for years and is finally making his move. But what will happen when Emily learns Maxwell isn't dead? Maxwell, Emily and Marcellus's story doesn't lack in angst, steam or suspense. I loved all 3 of these stories and look forward to reading more from Stacy Reid in the future. These are all complete books, not cliffhangers.
Stacy Reid is one of my favourite authors and I always look forward to her next publication. This volume of three steamy historic novels will leave you all hot and bothered, satisfied and wanting more! Stacy incorporates great storylines, developed characters, suspense, twists, romance and explores different aspects of steamy passion. Wicked deeds on a winters night. The relationship portrayed was a committed, solid one..It was very sweet. There was a scene in there where I needed to fan myself, it got so hot! Mischief & mistletoe In the first paragraph you already get a great sense of likeable Callie, romantic, caring, determined and feisty. It has an enemies to lovers storyline. With Letters to Emily you can see how Stacys writing style has developed over the years. It features a complex relationship and a decision needs to made,. It is set in World War 1 era, which makes it an interesting change. Be warned though, It may proof too hot to handle!

Wicked Deeds On A Winter's Night: Captain Gabriel Northcote was in love with Miss Primrose Markham but she was the governess to his sister. Upon returning from the war they wanted to marry, but his family looked down on her. When he fell ill she went to his family for help who turned her away after they got him the medical help he needed. Mischief and Mistletoe: Callie and her sister were trying to give their mother a nudge toward the Earl of Deerwood after seeing their affection for one another. Letters to Emily: Emily was in love with one of identical twins. Maxwell went to war and they were told he had died. In all the letters from him she was told if anything were to happen she was to accept his brothers suit. Even though she was leary of the attraction she was becoming attuned to it. When she was surprised by Maxwell's return she was also confused because she was now attracted to both men.

Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night Gabriel and Primrose do not suit according to his family. But Gabriel is hopelessly in love with his sister’s governess, and he will not be denied. This is such a wonderful love story! There’s drama, peril, sizzling sexy times and it’s the perfect novella! I loved it! Mischief & Mistletoe Graham is determined to foil Callie’s plan for their widowed parents to explore their attraction to each other, thinking she’s a social-climbing gold digger. He never imagined falling in love with the mischievous chit! Letters to Emily Wow! I think this is one of the steamiest historical romances I’ve ever read, and I loved it! Emily has been left a widow when her husband Maxwell dies in the war. Maxwell’s twin brother Marcellus takes over caring for Emily, urging her to marry him. Marcellus evokes strong passions in Emily, but can she leave her loyalty to Maxwell behind and move on to a new life?
Oh my! Three Christmas regency romances in one very steamy Christmas collection by Stacy Reid.
WICKED DEEDS ON A WINTER NIGHT– Captain Gabriel Northcote and Primrose Markham can't deny their love for each other, even their family can't stand in their way, not for long anyway. Very passionate and heartfelt story.
MISCHIEF AND MISTLETOE - Viscount Graham Sherbrooke and Miss Callisto (Callie) Middleton fall unexpectedly in love, all while Callie is trying to match make her mother with his father. Charming and steamy, love wins for all in the end.
LETTERS TO EMILY - This story was almost too hot to handle. Be aware - two twin brothers that desire and love the same lady, and said lady that desires and loves both brothers. This story was a little too much for me, I much preferred the other two stories.
There are 3 unrelated stories in this book. While the 3rd book was not to my taste, I enjoyed the other two books. All three are set around the Christmas holiday time. Book1 is about Primrose and Captain Northcote. They promise to marry, he comes back a year later, but will they still love each other enough. I wanted to throttle his family in this book!!! Book 2 is about Miss Callisto Middleton and Graham, Viscount Sherbrooke. She wants love for her mother, he thinks she's a scheming female. Will they both get what they want? Book 3 is about Lady Emily and Maxwell ...and his brother Marcellus Alexander Wynwood, The Marquis of Blackthorn. Max is dead, or is he, who will she pick. Wasn't a fan of this book which is why its a 4 start instead of a 5. I quite enjoyed the first 2 books. I received a free copy of this book for my honest review
Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night 4* Gabriel is a second son of an Earl and Primrose is a governess. His family does not approve of their relationship and acts to part them. I really enjoyed the romance but was disappointed that the family’s treatment of Primrose and their consequences didn’t get properly called out on page.
Mischief & Mistletoe 4* At a Christmas house party Callie is playing matchmaker for her mother. Graham’s father is Callie’s target but he has been less than sensible with his choices in the past, so Graham is trying to protect his father by putting a stop to Callie’s plans. Their own relationship deepens alongside their parent’s but this causes issues of its own. An enjoyable short story.
Letters to Emily 2* Didn’t particularly like this one. It’s set in the early 1900s and is effectively an MMF story. Not for me.
I usually like books by this author, but not so much this time. This is not a cheerful set of Christmas stories. The first story is a class difference romance with the H family treating the h awfully. The second story has the h matchmaking for her mother and the H is the son of the man who is the other half of the matchmaking. ( I liked this one.) Story 3 is about the death and mourning of a beloved husband. The deceased husband's twin brother has always wanted the h. He comforts her, she gets involved with him and then she finds out her husband isn't dead. And then there were 3 in the relationship. Not my thing.
This is a collection of 3 erotic stories. Two of them are set at Christmas time. They have been previous published except for Mischief and Mistletoe which was published this year. The first one is about solder who is a son of an earl and his love who is the governess of his sister. The second is about lady trying to matchmaking with her mother and and earl. All while falling in love with the earl's son. The last one Letter to Emily is an erotic M/F/M story.
Over all, they were good stories but the erotic was kinda unexpected.
It's always hard to write a review of a multiple book set. Of the 3 books I would give the first 2 4 stars and would not have finished the 3rd story. The stories were a little steamier than I normally would read. The last story included a woman and twin brothers, both of whom were in love with her. It includes her having sex with each and both at the same time. I recieved an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.
I usually find novellas unsatisfying but this was amazing.
I liked how well Reid packed emotion , a simple plot and really great chemistry in a novella format.
All three stories are centered around Christmas but the stories vary dramatically from interclass romance to matchmaking daughter to a WWI era ménage. I enjoyed the dirty talk with all three couples. I think it’s great when people are in love and lust with each other.
