Giant alpha, growly, bossy Russians are my kryptonite. When they have an accent and growl “mine” it makes me swoon. Knox was all in at first sight. Even though Lauren pushed him away at first (until about 45%) because she didn’t trust he that wasn’t too good to be true, he never gave up

-virgin heroine / hero was not a virgin 😞 but he had been long celibate, deciding in his youth to wait for the woman he would spend his life with

We got hints in the last book about Knox and Laruen. This was pretty fast pace and steamy.
Lauren gets alittle sidetrack when she spots 2 new guys at her job, a hulk like man who she names He-Man and a Thor (Jason from the last book) and is smitten but knows he wouldn't go for someone like her shes shy and plain. And hoy does our Russian guy take her by surprise when he already claiming her and making sure shes comfy and safe. Even if it means protecting her from her mother.
Few times Lauren pulls away because Knox is alittle over the top even if he means well lol. But she does finally give in and their is no stopping them.
No ow/om drama, No cheating, slight drama, Slight secondary charas, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore (he a born again virgin been celibate for years)

I've really enjoyed this Love on the Clock series by Nichole Rose. I've read them completely out of order so even though other couples are mentioned, it hasn't hindered my reading experience. I love alpha males but sometimes OTT ones can seem a bit silly to me. Ms. Rose seems to right them in a way I connect to that just melts me. I love a series where the men chase after the woman and that's exactly what you get here.

The only thing I'm not positive about this book is the way that Knox is written, even inside his head. I can't decide if it's a slightly racist Russian stereotype or just plain panty melting hot. Since I totally love him, I'm going with the hot version. However, the Russian way of speaking and thinking takes a little bit to get used to.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was looking forward to this book so much. It had great potential! Yet it left me wanting the book to be over ASAP. The story line was good and the only reason I gave it stars. Instalove safe cute romance. Where it fell flat is Knox is Russian and the author made it seem like he didn’t know English at all even after living in the United States for 17 years and being in the navy and a detective for Nashville. Even in his inner dialogue. Not only that but Knox spoke in 3rd person all the time! Major cringe! And Lauren called him he-man and Knox also used that nickname to talk about himself in 3rd person. I feel horrible writing this review because I know how hard authors work to create beautiful stories and like I said this one had so much potential but these things I have listed made it hard to enjoy the story.

Whooo!! All of this authors books are incredible, but this one was especially killer with a giant Russian beast of a hero who is growly and possessive and obsessive. It was PERFECT! And I nearly melted at the epilogue (not gonna give anything away, but it got me right in the feelzzzz)
So much swoon AND steam!! The sex scenes FUEGO! I’m lucky my kindle didn’t burst into flames.
Super safe, super swoon, super sticky sweet! Hero has been celibate for years, heroine is a virgin, no abuse sexual or physical (h’s mom is a giant B-word that has run her down but that’s it) no ow/om drama, HEA with 2 epilogues 5 years out.

Author tried really hated to make the hero OTT but the way he talked just got annoying.

Knox is a new security guard hired by Grant for the office, Lauren is the receptionist. The two meet for the first time in the lobby, a current security guard is leaving and he brings Knox and Jason over to meet her. He is immediately smitten and she can’t take her eyes off him either. But poor Lauren is a klutz and she winds up bumping, tripping, and rolling all over the place. To help her out Knox brings her a safer chair and mat for her desk, it’s so cute, it’s his first step in wooing her. He again sees her at Miranda’s birthday party, she’s had a little to much to drink and Knox makes sure everyone gets home safe and takes Lauren home with him. She has terrible self esteem issues because of her mother being so cruel to her. So she finds it hard to believe Knox is interested in her, but he convinces her that he’s crazy about her. He knows her mom makes her unhappy and he gets to witness it himself when they are on a date at her house and her mom comes home. She mean and catty and Knox is not having it. He tells Lauren to go pack and tells her mother off. At his place they finally have their sexy times, it’s hot and he is so sweet to her. He convinces her to move in with him and they both profess their love. Epilogue five years later with kids. Knox was so sweet to Lauren he recognized that she needed unconditional love and understanding. She was a sweet gentle soul who had been verbally abused by her mother her whole life.

Hold You is the story of Knox and Lauren.
Lauren is an assistant or some sort of PA and she has 2 new bosses or something. They are Jason and Knox. Knox is immediately captivated and jealous of the friendship she shares with Bryant. Bryant reassures her that they're strictly friends or even brother and sister. Um, he does such cute stuff for her. He gives her a new chair because her one has wheels AHHHH. Every time he sees her he kisses her like a crazed monster since the scene at the club. He asks her out and she complies but the date is to be at her place. Her verbally abusive/junkie mother comes home and is surprised Lauren even dates due to her size. That scene made me so mad that I nearly wanted to throw my phone across the room. Anyway, after that, she stays at his house and he just puts a ring on her finger claiming her as his without even asking. WHOOOOOOOO, we love caveman style. She accepts the fact that her mother was never a good one or even a mother at that but she accepts that she will never be like that and she will give her daughters the love she thrived for. She has 2 daughters, Zoya and Nadia and another on the way that Knox predicted to be a boy but oh boy was he wrong BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

If you like sweet oversized alphas who love their women completely, you'll love this book!
This is a wonderful short read, and I love that there are interconnected characters. You could read this as a standalone, because the other characters are really only briefly mentioned and have very little to do with the storyline, but you'll fall in love with the characters in this book and want to read others. I love that the story of Jason and Miranda plays out at the same time as Knoxs and Laurens, and so you get a hint of what is going on in the other book. For example, all the characters attend Miranda's birthday party but you really only know what happens to Knox and Lauren at the party in this book. You have to read the other story to find out what's happening between the other couple. I have to say hulking growly alpha giants who love with their whole heart and soul (and bodies ) always make for a great read, and Nichole Rose writes them perfectly. If you like her, other authors you might enjoy are Ella Goode, Olivia T Turner and Lucy Darling. Thank you Nichole Rose, you've made my day with this story, so I have just one thing to say--write faster! ;-D

It has dawned on me that Ms. Rose has never worked in a modern office, or at least she has never dealt with Human Resources because Jason, Miranda, Knox, and Lauren are an HR nightmare. I love the characters, don’t get me wrong, and book 2 in the series was a fun read. It just isn’t realistic.
While still a touch repetitive, the account of how Lauren and Knox find their HEA is engaging with great character chemistry. And some of the best written spice I’ve read. I give the author extra points for writing Knox’s POV using the unique phrasing and mixture of English and Russian that a non-native speaker would use. I could practically hear Knox’s growl.
Movie rating NC17 for sexual content, language. 4/5 overall, 4/5 romance, 1/5 for brief mention of violence off page, and 3/5 flames/spice. I haven’t finished series yet, but I feel safe recommending if instalove and spice are your thing.

Knox meets Lauren when he starts working security at Davis Financial Group. Lauren is already working there and knows most of the people. Lauren sees Denver walking towards her with two security guys, Jason and Knox, who will now be taking over security. Lauren is instantly drawn to Knox, as well as Knox is instantly drawn to Lauren. Lauren is very clumsy and a curvy girl, which only makes Knox want her more. Lauren's home life isn't easy, she lives with her mother, her father left when she was little. Lauren mother emotional abuses her and takes advantage of her. Knox starts to see the way Lauren's mother treats her and immediately takes her home with him. Knox lets Lauren's mother know she will no longer be in her life. Knox will be the one to take care of Lauren and build her up with confidence. Knox is full of surprises and loves Lauren with all he has. Knox has been waiting for Lauren and wants her to know this, while Lauren has been waiting for Knox. This is a wonder HEA with a future book in the works!!

• A coisa que mais me irritou nesse livro foi o fato do Knox morar há mais de 15 anos lá e não saber falar o Inglês direito, na real parecia que ele tinha acabado de chegar no país. Li uma review falando que ele parecia o Tarzan e concordo total.
• O tanto que usaram o nickname 'He-Man' foi irritante, super desnecessário.
• Segundo livro dessa autora que leio que tem exatamente a mesma fórmula (não é da mesma série) que me deixa super irritada. Eu gosto de insta-love, mas isso é mais do que insta,

Lauren is the sweetest, most awkward, accident-prone woman in the office. She tries to avoid handsome guys, its just safer that way. Her mother has spent basically her entire life making Lauren feel horrible about herself. When Knox meets her on his first day as the newest member of the security team, she is overcome with shyness. Knox is completely enthralled with the curvy woman. He has found the perfect girl and he immediately sets out to show her how he feels. This was everything I hoped it would be. Knox is just so completely devoted to Lauren, its just the best. These two are the perfect match! Another amazing story from the awesome Nichole Rose!

I really really liked this story. It’s one of the better OTT romances I’ve ever read. Definitely throws off rom-com vibes but also so many feels!
Lauren is in her early 20s and has a heart of gold. She’s a beautiful soul but has very low self-esteem thanks to her mother constantly ridiculing her. I like how she begins to draw strength from Knox to see herself in a brighter light. Knox, 30s, is possessive, growly, and absolutely smitten with Lauren. His love, care, and devotion towards her was sweet, swoon-worthy, and adorable.
I loved Knox and Lauren’s relationship. While there are a few red-hot scenes, this insta-love romance had a lot of endearing moments that drew me into the story.

What can I say other than after reading the first book in the series I was hooked and I rushed to get every other book in the Love on the Clock series. To say that Nichole Rose is dangerous to my wallet is to put it mildly but well worth the danger. So far everything I have read from her has been well worth the read. Fun characters, witty banter, sassy women, hunky men, laugh out loud moments so make sure you read them where you won’t attract attention to yourself when you burst out laughing and lots of hot, steamy sexy time. Sorry, no spoilers, but highly recommended.

Every good woman deserves a Knox
I loved this story. Even though it was short, it was so full of description that it felt much longer. Knox was definitely a gentle giant. He was not afraid to lay his feelings and heart at Lauren's feet. He built her up, and supported her. The author gave such description to Knox's feelings and thoughts, that you couldn't help but feel them just as deeply. I would love to have a Knox of my own.

This series just keeps getting better!

I loved Knox and Lauren! They were adorable, and definitely worth the wait. As always, Nichole Rose's hero was over the top possessive, head over heels insta-love, and I adore that kind of story! Knox was so wonderful, especially how he . I like that she didn't hold out on him too long, but still led him on a chase. This is exactly the kind of beautiful love at first sight story I've come to expect from this author, and I can't wait for more!

Really enjoyed this book. There's nothing better than a big hot Russian going crazy for his girl.

Good read
I like reading this book and will be reading the others in the series. I loved how determined Knox was and steadfast in his feelings. My only complaint is to portray him as russian the author just wrote his thoughts with incomplete sentences which felt a bit odd. Still a fun read though.
