you handed me all your broken pieces but darling, how do i fix you if you don't believe in love, hope and magic?
A survivor of life and death, a fighter of depression and a believer of universe, Ashish Bagrecha, the best-selling author of self-help book ‘Dear Stranger, I Know How You Feel’ and one of the most popular Instagram poets, brings you his very first collection of poetry because he thinks poetry has the magic to heal people.
Divided into six chapters, Love, Hope and Magic is about loving deeply and getting broken. It’s about falling into the darkness and still chasing the light. It’s about letting love find you, trusting the universe and believing in the magic we carry within ourselves.
Love, Hope and Magic is not written to inspire you but to fix you. Because
love comes, leaves and pains, but magic happens and stays, and all we need is a little hope in between.
I should have guessed from the "how do I fix you" that this was going to have an undercurrent of patriarchy I wouldn't like. An early poem, "the proposal," cemented it --
do not say me a no, please don’t say a no. what if, i am your last chance. what if, i am your last hope. what if, i am your last love. what if, i am your last breath.
Oof. "No one's going to love you like I do." It is one of those sentiments that puts me off right away, having known one too many "nice guy" types.
“don’t love me, i’m an impossible thing. i may never love you back.” she said.
“like magic, anything is possible.” i smiled.
This is so similar to exchanges I had in a friendship that went horribly south - exactly the way you would expect - that it made me twitch.
“you don’t understand me. you never will.” “maybe i don’t. but i’m trying to.”
“listen, i don’t need you or your pep talks. nothing you say can inspire me.”
“i’m not here to inspire you.” “then?” “i’m here to fix you.”
NOPE. You can't fix another person, and trying is a surefire way to dehumanize them and put them on a pedestal. I don't know why this is making me so angry.
you’re the only universe i trust, the only magic i believe, the only reason i exist.
This is destructive to believe and even more destructive to say.
I really wanted to like this book; it's a self-published book of poetry with a beautiful cover and a theme that appealed to me. But I kept finding echoes of the things guys have said to me to try to control me, and even if that's not the author's intention, it made me angry.
If you ever went on a date with a girl, If she says her favourite poets are Rupi kaur and Ashish bagrecha. Just run away from her , You will save yourself from the terrible blunder.
LOVE, HOPE AND MAGIC is a poetry collection that focuses on the power of love and how it can save and heal us. I think this collection had the potential to be deeply emotional but the poetry was so repetitive and unremarkable that it left me empty feeling nothing.
For a poetry collection that talks about magic, I find it deeply lacking and ordinary. There is no originality, no depth, and no warmth to it. I also didn’t like some of the messages the collection sends.
I think I’m going to stay away from this type of poetry for now. It rarely works for me and I’d like to read some poetry collections and not rate them 2 stars. I’m going to try and select something that appeals to me more in the future.
"Love comes, love leaves but why does it pain? Pain is the price we all pay for love. Sometimes for not loving enough and sometimes for loving too much"
This poetry is what the title says. It's about love that goes and comes unexpectedly. It's about hope in life, relationships, and yourself. And of course, it's about magic in everything we do, see and believe.
This book and its poems gave a new perspective to the concepts of love, hope and magic.
Pros: This books asks and convinces its readers to accept and understand love for what it is and that it will hurt sometimes. The hope and magic were simple yet impactful in its expressions. The overall message seems to trust in the universe as it has already destined one to greatness, and go with its flow.
Cons: Repetitive contents and concepts. Maybe all poets have ths same essence because some poems and writings felt similar to few other poets I've read. And in the Love part of the book, it feels like sometimes the writer is bordering on obsession(maybe that's the effect of a broken heart) with a sprinkle of saviour complex. Few parts of the poems is concerned with how he wants to fix his lover, which doesn't sit well with me as I believe healing begins with one's own self first. The others can only guide them in that endeavor not right out fix them.
Latest of Ashish Bagrecha. The rate of the sale is still growing exponentially. The book is already getting the LOVE and I HOPE that this MAGIC doesn't cease.... and I am damn sure , it won't A must read for poetry lovers.Oh my God! How do I start. The book is a beautiful blend of all those emotions while travel the world of relationships. The way he relates the beauty of a relation with stars, galaxies, nebulae, universe allows you to explore the meaning of love in a unique way. It is divided into six parts and these six parts take you through a journey of origin of the river of love, serene mountains of relationship, some valleys of heartbreak , the ray of sunlight giving hope, and lastly the magic of this complete scenery as a whole. You'll fall in love with the 'Universe' that he has led you to through Love, Hope and Magic'.
"you ask me about myself you want to know more but I don't know how to tell you that the sky is my life some stars are my friends the moon is my love and the night, it's my home."

Filled with love revolves around hope suffused with magic, Love hope and magic is about falling in love and rising after getting broken. It's about getting surrounded by darkness but still having a hope for that ray of light. It will make you believe, the power you carry to heal yourself and others.
The author has beautifully portrayed the journey of a lover through awe-inspiring poetries.
It is one of the best poetry book I have ever read. This book will surely make you trust in the power of universe. It will give you a feeling of love and a hope for magic
I love the poems so much. Few were beyond the words but few of them feels like no need to be kept in this book. I would appreciate if Author would club 2 or 3 poetries together to save the no. Pages. I realli like the poetries by Ashish Bagrecha and this book did justice but few things were out of context. The very first poetry (THE SEARCH) touched me so much that i feel that magic do happen.
Poetries in this book carry a deep meaning and the book has been beautifully categorised. But I feel it has kind of failed to meet the expectations that it promised because it talks less about curing depression as advertised and is inclined more on the analogies of sun, moon etc in its poems. The previous book by AB was much better. Anyway KUDOS!
Some books don’t just sit on your bedside table — they sit inside your soul, quietly rearranging the pieces you thought were too broken to mend. Love, Hope and Magic by Ashish Bagrecha is one of those rare books that doesn’t shout wisdom; it whispers it. Like a soft rain after months of drought, it seeps into the cracks of your heart, making something bloom again where you thought nothing could grow.
I still remember the first time I stumbled upon Ashish’s words — a four-liner on Instagram that stopped my mind mid-scroll. “You handed me all your broken pieces…” it began, and I remember thinking, this man understands pain like it’s poetry. Soon after, I discovered his earlier work, Dear Stranger, I Know How You Feel, and it felt less like reading a book and more like being gently held by a friend who’s been to the edge and made it back, just to tell you how. So when Love, Hope and Magic arrived, I didn’t just open its pages — I opened a part of myself I’d kept guarded for too long.
Ashish, a survivor of depression and a believer in the universe’s quiet miracles, doesn’t write to impress; he writes to heal. Divided into six chapters, this poetry collection walks you through the stages of loving deeply, breaking apart, losing faith, and learning to believe again. His poems don’t offer grand philosophies — they offer tiny, glowing truths. Each verse feels like a candle flickering in the dark, small but stubbornly alive.
There’s something unhurried about his writing — an elegance in simplicity. No over-polished metaphors, no complex rhymes trying too hard. Just clean, honest emotion. His four-liners are like little heartbeats — brief, rhythmic, and vital. You find yourself rereading them not because you didn’t understand them the first time, but because you want to feel them again.
Reading Love, Hope and Magic feels like walking through a dimly lit room where each poem switches on a light. One speaks of heartbreak — not in dramatic flourishes, but in quiet ache. Another talks about self-belief, and suddenly you realize you’ve been starving for those words. He doesn’t tell you to “move on.” He tells you to “move through,” which is an entirely different kind of healing.
The structure of the book flows like the arc of emotional recovery. You start in the ruins of love, crawl through the labyrinth of loss, and slowly find yourself in the wide-open fields of hope. And by the end, you’re not just reading about magic — you’re feeling it.
What stayed with me most was not a particular poem but a particular feeling — that someone out there has turned their scars into signposts for the rest of us. Ashish doesn’t preach positivity; he personifies perseverance. He doesn’t glorify pain; he gives it purpose. There’s an intimacy in his writing, the kind that makes you want to underline every other line and whisper, “yes, exactly this.”
If I were to point out a minor flaw, it would only be that the brevity of some poems left me craving a little more — like tasting honey from a teaspoon when you want to drink straight from the jar. But perhaps that’s the point. Healing, too, comes in small doses.
Reading this book reminded me of something simple yet profound — we don’t need to wait for grand miracles; sometimes, the magic is already within us, quietly humming beneath the noise of everyday life. As Ashish writes, “Love comes, leaves and pains, but magic happens and stays, and all we need is a little hope in between.”
So, if you’ve ever loved and lost, if you’ve ever felt like your soul has forgotten its way home, let Love, Hope and Magic be your compass. Read it on a quiet evening. Read it when you can’t sleep. Read it when you think you’re done believing. Because maybe — just maybe — this little book will remind you that you never stopped.
✨ Pick it up. Let it sit with you. Let it fix you softly.
Love, Hope, and Magic by Ashish Bagrecha is a heartfelt and introspective collection of poetry that offers solace to readers who have experienced the highs and lows of life, love, and mental health struggles. From the very first page, Bagrecha's soothing words feel like a warm embrace, gently guiding readers through emotions we all encounter but sometimes find hard to put into words.
This collection is divided into six chapters, each delving into themes of love, loss, hope, healing, and the belief in the magic that exists within us. Bagrecha, a survivor of depression and someone who has intimately experienced life’s dark moments, weaves his personal journey into each poem. This gives the collection an authenticity and rawness that many readers will find deeply relatable.
One of the things I appreciated most about Love, Hope, and Magic is its simplicity. The poems are not overly complicated or heavy with metaphors, but they are undeniably powerful in their straightforwardness. Each word feels carefully chosen to connect directly with the reader’s heart. Whether you’re going through heartbreak, grappling with self-doubt, or just in need of comfort, Bagrecha’s words have a way of making you feel seen and understood.
Bagrecha’s focus on love is multifaceted—he doesn’t just write about romantic love, but also the importance of self-love, love for the universe, and the love we carry inside us. He emphasizes the need for hope, even when life feels unbearable, and the magic that can unfold when we allow ourselves to believe in something greater than our circumstances. His poems are like small doses of positivity, reminding readers that healing is possible, and that magic exists in the smallest moments of our lives.
However, I did find that while the book is beautifully written, some poems can feel repetitive in theme. The messages of hope, love, and healing are reiterated throughout, which may appeal to some but might feel a bit redundant to others looking for more variety. That being said, the consistency in tone and message is part of what makes this collection so comforting—it’s like hearing a reassuring voice over and over again when you need it the most.
As someone who picked up this book expecting light poetry, I was pleasantly surprised by how deeply it resonated with me. There’s something truly magical about how Bagrecha speaks to the reader’s soul, not with grandiose language but with gentle, simple truths. It’s the kind of book that you can return to whenever you need a reminder that no matter how hard life gets, love and hope can carry you through.
In conclusion, Love, Hope, and Magic is a healing journey captured in words. It’s a must-read for anyone who’s ever felt lost or broken, and it serves as a reminder that while life may bring pain, there is always hope and magic waiting to be found. Ashish Bagrecha has written a book that doesn’t just inspire—it mends the heart. If you’re looking for poetry that’s honest, comforting, and filled with light, this collection is an absolute gem.
A poetry book as mature as the brain, as soft as heart and as real as truth.
'LOVE, HOPE AND MAGIC' by Ashish Bagrecha is as the namesake is a riot of emotions that the sole feeling of love brings. Divided into 3 major segments that later divides into six subdivisions- this book of poems brings face to face of what a person may be termed as 'hopeless romantic'. Each segmentation describes the heart and soul of a passionate lover.
i wouldn't just say, it is a read for lovers and believers of love but also for anyone who is yet to experience the magic of love. In a world where we have so many concepts about love, romance, lovers and relationships, 'LOVE, HOPE AND MAGIC' brings the baseline reasons of why love at all exists.
I have been a great admirer of the author's works through social media and would say that reading him and now his books feels so beautifully vulnerable. Poetry is meant to be a representation of the world that is unknown about you, that part which is hidden in a room of thoughts that only haunts you in solace and that being said, the author puts unadulterated true self forward than anything beyond. This book has nothing extraordinary, superlative about itself apart from the fact that a reader may be drowned into the oceans of nostalgia or face terrible restlessness with repetitive heartbreaks or just hug the book as a companion waiting for the magic to begin. Though the genre of love poems has become very common, this book has in it a difference that is so sublime yet reactive at the same time. Maybe not all books showcase the universal loop of finding forever like how this book describes. While others may only talk about memories and the sadness etched to a heartbreak that feels like a blame, this book is a process of acceptance and self growth. 'LOVE, HOPE AND MAGIC' is about letting love find you, the universe gives signals for it and you are your truest self to keep it strong.
The poems are short that you could complete in one sitting but I would recommend you to have a tender outlook towards a poetry book, cause it's all about the absorbing, embracing and moving ahead with the lesson behind the poem. 'LOVE, HOPE AND MAGIC' should be treated slowly. February has been the month of love and poetry-this book justifies all that one needs for this month. Although I do not read so many love centric poetry books and I honestly felt partial detachment from the emotions of the poems but 'LOVE, HOPE AND MAGIC' is simple and much relatable in approach. Recommending it to the readers who love reading poetry, beginners of this genre, the readers who have profound belief in love and its magic and to the people who are new to the concept of love.
