Sweet and small town love fast pace and some steamy scenes. If your looking that tyoe of cute romance here ya go 😃
Torin and Lani both have been in love with one another for ages.. the problem was they both never took that step and say "hey let's date" Torin said it wasn't the time, and Lani thinks he never would date her shes to shy or needy. So that has both not going after the relationship and pinning.. until Lani apartment catches fire and that pushes both to finally admit their feelings for one another.
They both still hang back some of their feelings but they start pushing slow to that next level. Also we get some hints of the next couple.
No ow/om drama, No cheating,slight secondary character, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

These two were idiots, her 10%, him 110%. Lani and Torin are both in love with each other, since they were kids, her 6, him, 10. But neither ever says anything to the other. Torin was a bigger idiot than Lani, he for some reason thinks she’s out of his league, even though he’s a big handsome firefighter. She thinks he’s out of her league even though she’s a sweet, smart, beautiful business woman.
“A ten-year-old me put his claim on the girl next door, whether or not she knows it.” He thinks, but he never does anything about it! He never talks to her, tells her, even hints at it, so how is she supposed to know it. He thinks I’ll make my move when she comes home from college, but her granny dies, then he waits till she’s done grieving, then she opens her book store, so he waits. Now there is a fire at the apartment so he thinks he should not jump her right now. Geez man, how about being her friend first. When he finds out she’s staying in the back room of her bookstore he invites her to use the guest room at his house. When these two clueless people finally get together and are ready for sexy times he regrets he didn’t wait for her to be his first. What?!? You could have been her first like you’re going to be her first, if you had told her you liked her! No instead this numbnuts just sleeps with other women, (it’s not mentioned how many he slept with). More ‘I don’t know if he really likes me’, and ‘I don’t want to scare her with my undying love for her’.
He even lets her move back into her apartment once everything is cleaned from the smoke damage. He thinks, I’ll give her time to settle in and after a while I’ll ask her to move in with me. She was living with you for weeks while her place was getting fixed. And the two had plenty of unprotected sexy times. Lani finally tells him she wants to move in with him and that she loves him. Dufus finally confesses his love too. Then thinks I’ll wait to ask her to marry me when she’s ready. SMH, this guy. Five weeks after she moves in he proposes and epilogue five months later with her pregnant. Bonus downloadable epilogue with a son and her delivering their daughter.
I liked Lani, he was her first everything, so it was understandable that she was a little shy and hesitant at times. Torin it seemed was lazy, it was to much effort to actually pursue her, it was just easier to think about how much he loved her. The one and only good thing he did was talk to her friends and give her the perfect first date. Dinner and a night at a fancy hotel.
The writing was good, I usually enjoy Rory Reynold’s books. This one was a miss for me.

As the series suggests, this was a really sweet read. It’s a story of the girl next door and an attraction neither have ever been able to get over. Great for if you’re looking for something light to read.

Sure... Dude claims to be in love with this girl since he was ten. Apparently has been obsessed and wanted to marry her. And, of course, while she is a virgin, he's slept around.
I have nothing against non-virgin heroes (especially if they aren't manwhores) but why make such a big deal of his 'first love' for her and write that he loved her since they were children if later on we read that 'he's sorry that he can't say that he waited for her...'.
I would've been fine if the hero wasn't a virgin, but I hated how weirdly it was written that he wasn't.
With all due respect, that was the moment I started to doubt his 'eternal and only love' for this girl.
Was that written to make him seem more experienced?

It was gearing up to be a really cute story about two childhood loves finding their way back to each other and then you find out in the same breath that the H states he's always loved the h, that while she was away he's slept his way through a bunch of OW while pining for her.
A man that can no only get hard for other women but fully have sex with them while he's ACTIVELY in love with you and making plans to make you his "forever" is a man that is willing to CHEAT on you.
The ability to rationalize having fulfilling sexual experiences and relationships with countless OW and having the audacity to say you've ever only loved the h means he 100% willing to do whatever it took to get him sexual gratification.

Cute and Steamy
This is a cute, sweet and steamy story. I liked both characters I just wished they communicated better. The editing is not the greatest. There were missing quotation marks sometimes so I would have to reread it a couple of times to try and figure out what was being said and what was being thought. There were extra words in sentences and periods in between sentences that didn’t need to be there. I love Rory Reynolds books but all these editing errors are really starting to get on my nerves.
I read this through KU and I bought myself a copy because I did like the 2 main characters and their friends, but I’m on the fence about Prue. I did like the steam though🔥😜.

Lani has been in love with Torin so much so she hasn’t been with anyone else because they just weren’t Torin but when her apartment catches fire he is right there for her.
When Torin goes to fight the fire and sees Lani standing there with her cat he goes to her and comforts the woman he has been in love with since she was five years old. When he finds out she is staying in her office he immediately offers her his home to share but no matter how they both feel each is afraid of sharing their feelings.
It’s a really cute story with a happy ending.

This is more a short story than anything. It got alot of sexy talk and sexy scenes but it also has friendships and small town living. But meets girl when there 6 and 10 and have that crush as neighbors have at that age. Life goes on but she never gives anyone a chance because there not him. Now in her twenty and him 30 and they still feel the same, its a battle to see who comes clean first on how they've always felt towards each other. When they finally do its fireworks. Quick read but a good read.

Mutual pining annoys me more times than not. Both MCs loved each other but neither had the courage to admit it. So many years were wasted on them being cowards.
I also honestly wish the MMC was also a virgin. I know it’s not realistic but I think it would have been more romantic.

Ugh
I stopped reading at 39%. Too many typos and that makes me nuts. Also, I despise when anyone over two years old pouts. The h pouted twice. I was done.
Beyond that, the storyline was boring and not holding my attention.

Chasing His Forever was sweet, fun and sexy. Lani and Torin have been secretly crushing on each other for years. Neither one knowing the others feelings. After a fire things heat up but they still dance around each other. This was a very enjoyable romance. Loved all the characters. Hopefully Margo and Amos are next then Ana and Prue. Well written, engaged me from the start and Lani and Torin kept me captivated til the end. And what a wonderful end it was.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Excellent start to the series. As scared as Lani was, it’s hard to believe that she was braver than Torin about communicating her feelings. Wait a second…I just read what I wrote; yes, it’s totally believable. The bonus story is the best!
