This is a three book box set that will satisfy anyone who loves reading about other worlds, romance and mystery. The books are progressive, so I suggest beginning with book one. The characters are amazing, well crafted and full of distinctive personalities complete with good and bad qualities. The storylines are well developed, flow smoothly and quickly, capturing your interest and making you wanting to read the next book. Just be warned this series is addictive and you won’t want to stop at book three. Enjoy!

Different but still a hit

I just finished the first three books in this series. Very different from the Victorian England series’. But this is just
Like the others. Grabs you in book 1
And keeps you e thrilled through the end of Book 3. I’m on to Book 4 now…still enjoying Marilyn Hussey’s narration.

CJ does not disappoint. She is very good at weaving more intrigue and mystery into the events of the lives of her characters.

I am a fan of the author, but this is not her strongest work. The fantasy world building was as excellent as always, but the characters were not as engaging. The story also dragged to a degree that if I had not bought the boxed set, I would have continued after volume 1.

There is no HEA

3 book series that ends in a cliffhanger. Not the most interesting series, more of A 'who done it' type story that has no ending. You will be sorely disappointed. 2 stars for writing not content.

The story is not over apparently and there are many questions left unanswered. Sadly Josie's home life is still in shambles and is somewhat still alone.
