"Your parents never lose sight of family even though they've neglected you for god knows how long!"

God, Scootloo having parents was such an awful retcon. It was much better when she was implied to be an orphan, whereas now I just have to question whether or not one of the show's writers has personal issues they converted into a episode's plot or some shit lol.

Anyway - my grievances with poor writing choices aside - this issue of the comic was fine. I just really hate how her parents showed up for an episode halfway through season 9, then fucked right off & went back to being neglectful immediately after it ended.

I guess they bonded for a bit and that's fine & all, but I still kinda hate both characters for being so damn neglectful that Equestria's version of CPS should've gotten involved.

Also, where were Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom? You'd think they'd have been in the clubhouse lol.
