Trinh: Several months ago, I was lying in a hospital bed, dying of cancer, when a man showed up to offer me a deal. An alien race called the Cerasteans had lost all of their women and were in danger of dying out. It turns out that they are compatible with human women. Lucky us! If I agreed to join their Bride Program, the aliens could use their technology to save my life.

Now I am on an alien spaceship living my best life. What can I say? They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I vowed to live every day to the fullest and love living carefree on an alien spaceship. Each day is filled with amazing new friends and plenty of adventure. The only dark spot in my days is a stick-in-the-mud, rule-loving alien who’s always out to restrict my plans. What's wrong with wanting to take care of my girls and have a little fun along the way?

L’Corte: As the Director of the Bride Program, it is my duty to make sure the human bride volunteers on our ship are safe, secure, and thriving in their new lives. It is a job I take very seriously. Everyone respects my authority on the ship. Everyone, except for one bride volunteer who believes that rules are made to be broken, and regulations are easily defeated obstacles. How can Trinh not understand that regulations are vital to a smoothly operating system?

With war on the horizon, will Trinh and L’Corte be able to find common ground in order to plan a massive wedding? As they find a new understanding of one another through the shared goal of helping their people, sparks start to fly.

Dane Griggs lives in Florida with her very patient husband, two trouble-making children, a bratty long-hair dachshund, and too many fish tanks. In her spare time—which like most moms, she has very little of—she loves to read (a lot!), write, watch movies, drink wine & pots of coffee, tend her aquaponic garden, go surfing, do woodworking, and volunteer with the PTA and Girl Scouts.

Mrs. Griggs enjoys writing about relationships that evolve and grow over time, with lots of super-hot sex. She strives to put her characters in interesting situations where their strength and wit shine through—no Mary Sues allowed. So grab a bottle of wine and come hang-out in the mind of Dane Griggs and a world of characters you would actually enjoy sharing that bottle with. and if you are into it, be sure to follow Dane Griggs on Amazon.

A hilarious, engrossing read where fiery opposites attract with a plethora of sage (snarky) advice and supporting characters. Everyone needs a friend like Trinh and L'Corte was soo perfect for her. Highly recommend :)

"Trinh: Several months ago, I was lying in a hospital bed, slowly dying from cancer, when a man showed up to offer me a deal. An alien race called the Cerasteans had lost all of their women and were in danger of dying out. It turns out that they are compatible with human women. Lucky us! If I agreed to join their Bride Program, the aliens could use their technology to save my life.

Now here I am on an alien spaceship living my best life. What can I say? They made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. When I got healthy again, I vowed to live every day to the fullest. The biggest surprise has been how much I love living carefree on an alien spaceship, the worries of my old life left behind. Each day is filled with amazing new friends and plenty of adventure. The only dark spot in my days is a stick-in-the-mud, rule-loving alien who always seems to be out to ruin my fun. What’s wrong with wanting to take care of my girls and have a little fun along the way?

L’Corte: As the Director of the Bride Program, it is my critical duty to make sure the human bride volunteers on our ship are safe, secure and thriving in their new lives. It is a job I take seriously, and I am proud of my work. Everyone respects my authority and position on the ship. Everyone, except for one bride volunteer who believes that rules are made to be broken and regulations are easily-defeated obstacles. How can Trinh not understand that regulations are in place for everyone’s safety and vital to a smoothly-operating system?

With war on the horizon, will Trinh and L’Corte be able to find common ground in order to plan a… giant wedding for all the new war brides? As they find a new understanding of one another through the shared goal of helping their people, sparks start to fly between these two polar opposite people."

Wow just awesome

For all of us that have been waiting on this couple to happen it was so worth the wait. L'Corte is one wonderful, sexy, romantic Cerastean!!!! He's everything you want in a book boyfriend and then some. Our sweet energetic Trinh is so deserving of this and more. She came into the program because she was a terminal cancer patient at 25. The aliens healed her completely and she joined the program to give back with the hope of finding her mate and living every day in happiness. She the defacto leader of the Brides and L'Corte is the head of the Bride program. He is a real stickler for the rules and regs but secretly has been loving Trinh from the first and is totally enamored with her high heels. Being of Vietnamese descent she is a bit petite but that doesn't stop her from going head to head with our guy. You will love this latest story in the series as much as I did. Ms. Griggs you continue to amaze me with your writers imagination and humor. You come up with great ideas in each new story while keeping the other couples in our minds as well. It's a gift and you keep improving with each book. I'm sure you've heard me say before that I'm a greedy witch but I just can't wait for the next. Y'all please give this series a try. If you are a SFR reader you will love them all. Each one has special things about it and right now this is my favorite of the series. But I say that with each new one. That is another mark of a great writer, you keep us coming back for more.

Surprised mated

Trinh loves upsetting the uptight, L'Corte. She's a tiny package of whirlwind. She is a friend to all. She has her fingers in every pie! She secretly loves L'Corte, but doesn't believe he feels the same. She always hen pecks at his regulations. He is always calm and collected. Prim and proper. She is dressed to the nines with high heels flaking. No one can believe how she can run in them. She has to go down into the bottom of the ship to find some things in storage. But she gets lost. As she walks down a corridor, she hears crying. She follows the sound to a cell like room. There she meets an alien she has never seen before. As he says that he's lost his queen, she realizes he must be Volvo, an enemy of her people. When she tells him that his queen is a bitch, he starts talking to her. Something he has not done before. When L'Corte realize she may be down there with him, he runs to Volvo' s cell. He grabs her away and kiss her. One kiss leads to another until he takes her to the storage unit she was looking for. There they get involved with each other. They come to an understanding. You will have to read the book! Alot of surprises happen along the way. There is sex in this book, so it is for adults. Yum, yum.

Trinh Le meets her match in Scientific Officer L'Corte and their arguments finally turn into something warmer.

Trinh is helping the other volunteer brides feel more comfortable on the ship, and at the same time she is teaching the alien males how to treat Earth females, and helping lower the stress on the entire ship. Trinh is setting up the Mating Ceremony and the following reception for the whole ship, she started with only four couples, and in a few days she has more than a room full, including herself and L'Corte. She's also setting up a "Rosie the Riveter" program to train those volunteers that want to help to fill the gaps being left by deploying males headed for the assault on Ostium to depose the current, very crazy, Ostium Queen, who is responsible for the genocide on Ceraste, the attempted genocide on the Hisk home world, and several attacks on Earth locations.

Love this author. Love this series. But I'm disappointed in this story. For those who've been with the series since Book 1 and picked up on the chemistry between these two characters in previous books will probably know what I'm talking about. This just fell flat, you really didn't see any real interaction or romantic interest between these characters until halfway through the story. I hope the next installment gets some of its heat back.

Fun Read

I enjoyed the playful banter between Trinh and L' Corte and how she drew him out of his rigid mindset and got him to tap into his passionate side. He needed to lighten up! I'm sad there's only one more book left in the series. I don't know what I'm gonna do when it's all over. I'm definitely gonna have book withdraws because I'm so attached to the Cerasteans and all the zany human characters! I don't want it all to end!

War Brides

I love this author and this series about male aliens in search of mates after their women and their leaders and artists are murdered by an evil queen from another planet. Human women volunteer to be potential mates while the aliens provide a cure for cancer and other deadly diseases. This time all prepare for war against the evil queen sparking a huge flock of weddings!

War Brides

Trinh was the mother hen of all her friends and wanted what was best for them. It just never accrued to her that she would fall in love with L’Corte who was in charge of the brides. She always wanted the best for everyone and L’Corte tried to get her to follow the rules. Now they learn that war is coming so they must make the next Presentation their best one yet. Highly recommend this book and series

I really liked the story, it was a clear departure from the nonstop action and angst from last book. We get to see behind the curtains of Trinh, what makes her the meddling person she is, and find out what her true intentions are. Along the way, we get a reckoning regarding the tensions between her and L'Corte that have been building for quite some time. Great book!

Trinh and L'Corte

As the Cerasteans get ready for war with the Ostiums, Trinh and L'Corte act on their attraction to each other. Not much story but if you're a fan of this series, you'll enjoy it. An appetizer before the meatier story that hopefully follows. I'm a fan of this series, so 3☆'s for me. If you don't follow the series, I suggest you skip this book.

What a journey

What a privilege to ride along on this journey. I really enjoyed learning about the aliens and their customs. The humor the author included in her writing was so on target and appreciated. I laughed out loud at times. I hope there will be more books in this series as we left them with war on the horizon.

Yet ANOTHER wonderful, lively, fun, and emotional book in this series!

It was delightful to read as Trinh organized and pulled together the mating ceremony for all those who wished to be married before the war started. ÀND, it was fun seeing how She responded to the surprise of knowing she would become an integral part of the ceremony.

Pho is the obvious choice

I don’t know why authors wait for an Asian fmc for an obvious food replicator food choice. Maybe because we are shiny unicorns in the genre? But seriously. Pho would be my first option. Korean bbq isn’t even on the menu apparently. Wtf. At least there is some Asian rep in this series. Asian ABG rep appreciated.

Loved it

I loved this as much as I did all the other books in this series. Strong alien mates, sassy heroines and a happy ever after, what more could you ask for. All I want to know is when is the next book out, we just got to know what happens during and after the war.

Great sci fi romance

The world building is excellent. The story is full of warm fuzzies with a side of redemption and a lot of laughs, because....Trinh. I knew Trinh and L'Corte's story would be great, and it is. I look forward to book 9.

Good read

Trin and L'Corte have been butting heads for months but all of that is about to change. Trin has a habit of being right in the middle of any trouble. She also manages to get a lot right. See how right she is! Enjoy

War Brides

Trinh and L'Corte always bump heads but they both enjoy it. Time for war arises and there is much to do. They do large ceremony for those who want to claim their mate before going off to war. L'Corte surprises Trinh. Will she say yes?

Yay! For Trihn!

So, happy to see my favorite character get her own love story. Same Griggs takes a common trope and works it with delicacy and fun. Just a good beach read.

I now pronounce you War Brides

I don't think you could have put any more adventure, stress, on edge terror, hot🔥ness, and bridezilla's together in one fine story. Oh my! It was so good to see L'Corte finally chill out and be in love and Trinh live her 'best life' with her true mate. 🌠 This series is one of my favorites!
