When women have positive birth experiences it is empowering to all women, even those that haven’t given birth yet because it shows us how powerful our bodies and minds are or can be. In this latest anthology of wintertime free births, empowerment and intuition are my main takeaways after reading. From the author/compiler’s latest unassisted birth story to the other contributions in the anthology, all I could think was “Wow, it is amazing that women’s bodies can do this. That our bodies can connect with our babies and go through all the stages of birth including the roaring and transition, and yet still be flooded with love and peace as soon as that baby slides out.” This book is for freebirthers, free birth supporters, women who love birth stories, and men who want to try to understand what birth is really like. Can’t wait for the next seasonal installments.
