It's a standalone full-length novel of over 55,000 words in the Morning Madison series. Due to the fact that this series involves recurring characters, all of whom are musicians in the same setting, its books can be read in any order but are best enjoyed together, and with a big glass of water nearby due to so much heat in addition to all those feels!

Great characters and great romance

I really liked these characters, full of weaknesses but also of strength. The story is very well written and fascinating.
Shane saw surrounded by people who would reject him if he came out, with the exception of his best friend Lisa, whom he didn't say he had a secret relationship with her ex-boyfriend after they had just broken up. When Shane meets Wyatt, a famous and openly gay country singer, he's going to have to make choices between his personal life and his singing career.
The character of Shane is quite complex between what he hides, what he wants, his lack of courage, his fear of losing his best friend, his opening in the music world. He wants to protect himself, but most of all he's lost, and his encounter with someone like Wyatt who is at such a lost point in his life as he is, developp sparks.

This is a well written book with strong , well developed characters in Shane and Wyatt. The author does a great job building the emotional tension even as sparks fly between them. He paints his scenes in vivid detail and pulls you in with Shane's fears as the story unfolds. I enjoyed their story and watching them come together. The story moves fluidly and is a heartwarming story.

Disappointed
There is nothing more disappointing than a writer you like to read publish a book like this. I do not like to DNF any book as I always keep reading to see if it gets any better. This book had no likeable characters. Wyatt, Shane, Jessica, Lisa and Aaron had no redeeming qualities.
This book was also full of errors. I expected a better book from Ian Finn.

Confusion, conflict & consummation
This 6th “Morning Maddison” book is the least entangled with the characters that we have met and enjoyed previously.
The story had great potential that I don’t feel it achieved. Editing was not stellar, especially from the middle on.
However, I enjoyed the book and the characters and plot lines.

Excellent
Loved this book, a beautiful written romance novel, but not without drama coming in the form of Aaron, although not a violent person I would love to slap him. If you like 'll romance, you will not be disappointed.
